  • Sep 18, 2026The code in pppd that formats a response to a PEAP Request packet in peap_response() copies an entire TLS record of up to 16384 bytes into the fixed global buffCVE-2026-75883 · Other software · PPP Project · reported by Red HatMedium 6.8

The code in pppd that formats a response to a PEAP Request packet in peap_response() copies an entire TLS record of up to 16384 bytes into the fixed global buffer outpacket_buf without checking the available space and without implementing outgoing PEAP fragmentation. Thus a pppd process connecting to a server which requests PEAP authentication can be induced to corrupt global static data following the outpacket_buf array, most likely causing incorrect behavior or a crash.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: null_blk: free global tag_set on init error path If shared_tags is enabled, null_setup_tagCVE-2026-90188 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: null_blk: free global tag_set on init error path If shared_tags is enabled, null_setup_tagset() allocates the global tag_set via null_init_global_tag_set(). If device creation later fails, err_dev destroys the default devices and calls unregister_blkdev(), but never frees the global tag_set. Since module init failed, null_exit() is never invoked, so the global tag_set's tags and maps are permanently leaked. Free the global tag_set in err_dev, matching null_exit() which does if (tag_set.ops) blk_mq_free_tag_set(&tag_set).

  • Sep 17, 2026vm2 versions 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 expose the host process's real https.globalAgent to sandboxed code when a NodeVM is explicitly configured to allow require('hCVE-2026-92940 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckCritical 10

vm2 versions 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 expose the host process's real https.globalAgent to sandboxed code when a NodeVM is explicitly configured to allow require('https'). The builtin loader wraps host modules in a read-only proxy, but method calls such as Agent.prototype.on() are forwarded to the underlying host object, so sandbox code can register a listener for the agent's 'free' event. When an unrelated host HTTPS request releases a pooled connection, the listener receives the live host request options and the host TLSSocket, allowing sandboxed code to read the host's Authorization header and private destination host/port, attach a data listener to the released socket and read subsequent host response bodies in plaintext, and issue attacker-chosen authenticated requests using the stolen credentials. The issue is fixed in 3.11.7.

  • Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Remove VM-wide VNCR mapping counter The global VNCR mapping counter is used toCVE-2026-89915 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.3

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Remove VM-wide VNCR mapping counter The global VNCR mapping counter is used to decide whether an L1 provided VNCR page is mapped in L0 on any CPU at the point of dealing with a TLB invalidation. It is incremented when a mapping is made in the fixmap, and decremented when unmapped. As it turns out, this tracking has several flaws: - we are trying to invalidate TLBs, and the mapping is only an opportunistic consequence of the TLB. Checking this counter to decide whether a TLB needs to be invalidated may result in missed invalidations. - an L1 vcpu invalidating its own TLB (a very likely case) will not succeed in invalidating the VNCR pseudo TLB because that page is not mapped in L0 at this stage. Given that this tracking fails at delivering the minimum guarantees that are required and is only a performance optimisation, remove it completely.

  • Sep 15, 2026Concrete CMS 9 before 9.5.3 authorized the dashboard sitemap reorder action (Concrete\Controller\Backend\Dashboard\SitemapUpdate) using only the global access_sCVE-2026-18425 · Other software · Concrete CMS · reported by ff5b8ace-8b95-4078-9743-eac1ca5451deLow 2.1

Concrete CMS 9 before 9.5.3 authorized the dashboard sitemap reorder action (Concrete\Controller\Backend\Dashboard\SitemapUpdate) using only the global access_sitemap task permission and did not check per-page edit permission before updating each page's display order. As a result, an authenticated user granted sitemap access could change the display order (cDisplayOrder) of any pages they had no rights to edit, altering the order in which those pages render in navigation, breadcrumb, and page-list output. The reorder action additionally validated no CSRF token, so the write could be triggered by a forged request. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 2.1 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. • Sep 14, 2026Zephyr's TLS socket layer in subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets_tls.c keeps a single process-global array, client_cache, of cached client sessions that is shared byCVE-2026-15924 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.9

Zephyr's TLS socket layer in subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets_tls.c keeps a single process-global array, client_cache, of cached client sessions that is shared by every TLS socket context. The functions that mutate and read it — tls_session_save(), tls_session_get(), tls_session_cache_reset(), and the settings restore handler — allocate, free, and dereference each entry's heap buffer (entry->session). Before the fix these accesses were serialized only by the per-socket context mutex ctx->lock (assigned per socket in ctx_set_lock()), which provides no mutual exclusion between different sockets touching the shared cache. Because CONFIG_NET_SOCKETS_TLS_MAX_CLIENT_SESSION_COUNT defaults to 1, any two concurrent client sockets contend for the same slot. A thread in tls_session_get() reading entry->session inside mbedtls_ssl_session_load() can run concurrently with another thread in tls_session_save() that selects the same entry for reuse and executes mbedtls_free(entry->session) before reallocating — a use-after-free read, and a double-free when two saves evict the same entry. Both corrupt the mbedTLS heap. The cache is reached on ordinary client paths: at connect time via tls_session_st

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: skip sufficiently large global buffers when resizing z_erofs_gbuf_nrpages is advancCVE-2026-89602 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: skip sufficiently large global buffers when resizing z_erofs_gbuf_nrpages is advanced only after every global buffer has been grown. If a resize fails after some buffers were enlarged, a retry revisits those enlarged buffers. Retrying the same size then returns -ENOMEM because alloc_pages_bulk() has no pages to add and the unchanged return value is treated as a failure. Retrying an intermediate size allocates a temporary pointer array smaller than gbuf->nrpages and copies more existing pointers than the array can hold. Skip buffers that already satisfy the request. Once all remaining buffers have caught up, advancing z_erofs_gbuf_nrpages again describes the guaranteed minimum size across the pool.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sysctl: move the "cad_pid" entry from pid_table[] to kern_reboot_table[] cad_pid is globalCVE-2026-80929 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sysctl: move the "cad_pid" entry from pid_table[] to kern_reboot_table[] cad_pid is global, and kill_cad_pid() is only used in the root namespace. However, due to pid_table_root_permissions(), a non-root user can unshare pid/user namespaces and modify it from the child namespace. This makes no sense and is simply wrong. Move it to kern_reboot_table[] where it logically belongs; this ensures that only GLOBAL_ROOT_UID can read/modify this sysctl. Note that this patch doesn't preserve "#ifdef CONFIG_PROC_SYSCTL" around the "cad_pid"; CONFIG_PROC_SYSCTL selects CONFIG_SYSCTL, so it is always set when kern_reboot_table[] is compiled.

  • Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: cap LZMA stream pool size fs/erofs/decompressor_lzma.c sizes the module-global MicrCVE-2026-80892 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: cap LZMA stream pool size fs/erofs/decompressor_lzma.c sizes the module-global MicroLZMA stream pool from num_possible_cpus() when the lzma_streams module parameter is unset, then z_erofs_load_lzma_config() preallocates one image-supplied dictionary per stream, accepting dictionaries up to 8 MiB. On high-CPU systems, a small EROFS image can pin hundreds of MiB of vmalloc-backed decoder state until the erofs module is unloaded. Impact: An EROFS image mounted by the system can pin up to 8 MiB of vmalloc memory per LZMA stream, either as intended or unexpectedly. Bound the default stream count by a new CONFIG_EROFS_FS_ZIP_LZMA_DEFAULT_MAX_STREAMS option, default 16, so the worst-case default preallocation is 128 MiB if the number of CPUs is no less than 16 while preserving the existing per-image dictionary limit. An explicit lzma_streams module parameter is still honoured as-is, so administrators who deliberately size the pool are not affected.

On a Kong Mesh global control plane, resources received over the zone-to-global KDS sync are attributed using the in-band, sender-controlled ControlPlane.Identifier rather than the authenticated zone identity derived from the connection. Authenticated zones can have the global control plane store and re-distribute those resources as belonging to another zone. The result is a cross-zone isolation bypass: the holder of a single enrolled zone's credential can inject, attribute, and overwrite resources in another zone's namespace mesh-wide. The root cause lives in Kuma's open-source KDS sync code, which Kong Mesh's control plane is built on.

On filesystems with a cluster size larger than the block size, a FITRIM range that is at least one block but shorter than one cluster is accepted and shifted down to len == 0. The later start + len - 1 and len -= ... arithmetic then underflows and can drive trimming past the requested range. Reject ranges shorter than s_clustersize instead. That preserves the existing -EINVAL behavior for requests that cannot discard even one allocation unit and keeps zero-cluster trims out of the group walk.

  • Aug 11, 2026A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability existed in Lookyloo's PlaywrightCapture when the only_global_lookup option was enabled.CVE-2026-73210 · Other software · Lookyloo · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.1

A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability existed in Lookyloo's PlaywrightCapture when the only_global_lookup option was enabled. PlaywrightCapture implements this option to prevent captures from accessing local, loopback, or otherwise non-public network resources. However, favicon retrieval was performed separately from the browser request-routing protections. Favicon URLs extracted from rendered HTML were resolved and subsequently fetched directly using an aiohttp.ClientSession. An attacker able to supply or control a web page processed by PlaywrightCapture could include a crafted favicon reference, for example pointing to a loopback address, private IP address, or another resource reachable only from the PlaywrightCapture host. When the page was processed, the favicon retrieval routine could issue an HTTP request to this destination despite only_global_lookup being enabled. This bypass could therefore be used to make the PlaywrightCapture host interact with internal network services that should not be reachable through a capture. Depending on the targeted service and its response, this could enable internal service discovery, access to internal resources, or interact

  • Aug 10, 2026A flaw was found in multicluster-global-hub.CVE-2026-71577 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.3

A flaw was found in multicluster-global-hub. During a ManagedClusterMigration, the system incorrectly grants all managed hubs read access to a shared communication topic. This allows a compromised managed hub to intercept and collect sensitive bootstrap kubeconfigs, which contain API server tokens intended for other hubs. These tokens have an extended validity of approximately 9.86 years, significantly increasing the risk of unauthorized access and information disclosure to other managed clusters.

A flaw was found in multicluster-global-hub. The manager component improperly validates the source identity of incoming CloudEvents on Kafka status topics. A remote attacker, after compromising a managed hub and obtaining its Kafka client certificate, can manipulate the self-asserted source identity. This allows the attacker to falsify or delete critical data, such as compliance, inventory, and cluster health information, belonging to other hubs in the database.

  • Aug 10, 2026The webhook URL validator in `website/notifications/webhooks.py` uses `ip.is_global` to reject non-public addresses after DNS resolution.CVE-2026-72761 · Other software · vulnerability-lookup · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9

The webhook URL validator in `website/notifications/webhooks.py` uses `ip.is_global` to reject non-public addresses after DNS resolution. IPv6 transition addresses (NAT64 `64:ff9b::/96`, 6to4 `2002::/16`, Teredo `2001:0000::/32`) are classified as globally routable by IANA, so `is_global` returns `True` even when the embedded IPv4 targets a private, loopback, or cloud metadata destination. An attacker can register a webhook pointing at a hostname that resolves to a transition address to bypass the SSRF guard and exfiltrate vulnerability data to an internal endpoint. The vulnerability was introduced on a non-release version. The fix was already done on HEAD. It only affects organisation running the HEAD.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Add global mutex to serialize trace_parser access In ftrace, the trace_parser structure is allocated and initialized when a trace file is opened, and is subsequently used across write and release handlers to parse user input. The affected handler paths and their specific functions are: - Open paths: ftrace_regex_open(), ftrace_graph_open() - Write paths: ftrace_regex_write(), ftrace_graph_write() - Release paths: ftrace_regex_release(), ftrace_graph_release() If userspace opens a trace file descriptor and shares it across multiple threads, concurrent write calls will race on the parser's internal state, specifically the 'idx', 'cont', and 'buffer' fields, leading to corrupted input or undefined behavior. Fix this by adding a global mutex, parser_lock, to serialize all access to trace_parser across write and release paths, preventing concurrent corruption of parser state.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/x25: fix use-after-free in x25_kill_by_neigh() x25_kill_by_neigh() walks the global X.25 socket list looking for sockets attached to a terminating neighbour. x25_list_lock protects list membership while the lookup is in progress, but it does not pin a socket's lifetime after the lock is dropped. The function currently drops x25_list_lock before calling lock_sock(s). A concurrent close can run x25_release(), remove the same socket from x25_list, and drop the last socket reference in that window. The neighbour teardown path can then lock or inspect a freed struct sock/struct x25_sock. Take sock_hold(s) while x25_list_lock still proves that the list entry is live, then drop the temporary reference after the socket has been locked, rechecked, and released. Recheck x25_sk(s)->neighbour after lock_sock(), because another path may have disconnected the socket before this path acquired the socket lock. Restart the list walk after each disconnect because the list lock was dropped and the previous iterator state may no longer be valid. A QEMU/KASAN run against origin/master reproduced a slab-use-after-free in x25_ki

  • Jul 25, 2026In Zephyr's userspace dynamic-objects subsystem, thread_idx_alloc() in kernel/userspace/userspace.c allocated a new thread permission index from the global _thrCVE-2026-10681 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5

In Zephyr's userspace dynamic-objects subsystem, thread_idx_alloc() in kernel/userspace/userspace.c allocated a new thread permission index from the global _thread_idx_map[] bitmap without holding lists_lock. On SMP systems, two user-mode threads invoking the k_object_alloc(K_OBJ_THREAD) syscall concurrently can both observe the same low free bit, perform the same non-atomic RMW to clear it, and return the identical tidx. The two newly created K_OBJ_THREAD objects are then assigned the same thread_id, so the two user threads alias a single bit position in every kernel object's perms[] bitfield: any subsequent grant of access on a kernel object to one thread is implicitly a grant to the other, defeating userspace ACL isolation. A secondary lost-update window between the unlocked &=~BIT() in alloc and the locked |= BIT() in thread_idx_free() can also leak entries from the thread-index pool. The defect is reachable from any user-mode thread via the unrestricted __syscall k_object_alloc and is gated on CONFIG_USERSPACE, CONFIG_DYNAMIC_OBJECTS, and CONFIG_SMP. The flaw was introduced when the per-thread permission index was added in 2018 and is present in every release up to and incl
