Sep 2, 2026Advanced Custom Fields: Extended: Does not verify that the requester is authorized to edit the targeted user account in the update-user action of its front-end Forms module; it only checks a capabilityCVE-2026-12526 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanHigh 8.1
The Advanced Custom Fields: Extended WordPress plugin before 0.9.2.7 does not verify that the requester is authorized to edit the targeted user account in the update-user action of its front-end Forms module; it only checks a capability when the submitted role is administrator or super_admin. On a site that exposes a publicly reachable front-end form whose user-update action targets an existing administrator (a fixed target, or one mapped to a visitor-submitted field) and maps the password to a visitor-submitted field, an unauthenticated visitor can overwrite that administrator's password and take over the account. The default target is the submitting user, so exploitation depends on the form being configured to target another account.

Aug 16, 2026Frontend Admin by DynamiApps: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-18432 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Frontend Admin by DynamiApps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.29.9. The vulnerability exists because `ActionUser::conditions_logic()` gates the `current_user_can('edit_user', $user_id)` authorization check behind an `is_numeric()` test, causing the check to be skipped entirely when `$user_id` is a non-numeric string — a condition that can be induced by passing a crafted value such as `1one` through the unvalidated `item_id` parameter of the unauthenticated `wp_ajax_nopriv_frontend_admin/forms/change_form` AJAX endpoint. This makes it possible for attackers to escalate privileges to administrator by obtaining a server-signed `_acf_objects` payload carrying the non-numeric user ID, which WordPress subsequently coerces to integer 1 (the default administrator), allowing the attacker to overwrite that account's password or email address. Exploitation by unauthenticated users requires a public-facing frontend user form to be configured; in all other cases a subscriber-level account is sufficient.

Aug 11, 2026Frontend Admin by DynamiApps: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-15606 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Frontend Admin by DynamiApps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.29.9. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level and above permissions, to reset the password of any user on the site, including administrators, leading to full account takeover and complete site compromise. Exploitation requires the attacker to hold a valid encrypted Current-User token obtained by accessing any Edit User form they are legitimately authorized to submit, which they then use as a known-plaintext base for the CBC bit-flipping forgery.

Jul 24, 2026Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content: Does not consistently enforce the role restriction configured on its front-end registration role-selection fieldCVE-2026-12497 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanHigh 7.5
The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content WordPress plugin before 4.16.18 does not consistently enforce the role restriction configured on its front-end registration role-selection field. The set of roles offered to the visitor and the set of roles the registration handler accepts are derived by two different parsers, and for some valid ways of configuring the offered roles the handler ignores the restriction and falls back to accepting any non-administrator role. Combined with the absence of a nonce on the public registration handler, this allows an unauthenticated visitor to register an account with a higher role, such as Editor or Author, than the form was configured to offer.

Jul 11, 2026WCFM – Frontend Manager for WooCommerce: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-12994 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The WCFM – Frontend Manager for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 6.7.27. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary reply content into any store inquiry, overwrite the main inquiry record in wp_wcfm_enquiries, and trigger unsolicited notification emails to customers and vendors. Unlike sibling controller branches (wcfm-enquiry and wcfm-enquiry-manage), the wcfm-my-account-enquiry-manage branch performs no is_user_logged_in() or current_user_can() check, and the nonce that serves as the sole barrier is embedded into every public page load without any login gate.

Jul 11, 2026WCFM – Frontend Manager for WooCommerce: Insecure Direct Object ReferenceCVE-2026-10041 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The WCFM – Frontend Manager for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 6.7.27 via the wcfm_product_archive due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to archive arbitrary vendors' products, toggle the featured status on arbitrary listings, mark arbitrary WooCommerce orders as completed, and permanently delete arbitrary enquiries and bulk messages belonging to other vendors.

Jul 9, 2026User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration: Insecure Direct Object ReferenceCVE-2026-12418 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.7 via the 'wpuf_files_data' parameter due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to overwrite the post_title, post_content, and post_excerpt of any arbitrary post on the site, including posts authored by administrators. Exploitation requires access to any WPUF post submission form; this is achievable by users with no WordPress role, as the wpuf_submit_post AJAX action is gated only by a nonce with no capability check for the downstream post-edit operation.

Jul 9, 2026User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-12406 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.7. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary media attachments whose post_author is 0, such as guest and registration-form uploads, via the wpuf_file_del AJAX action. This is exploitable by unauthenticated visitors on any site where a WPUF shortcode is rendered on a front-end page, as this causes the valid wpuf_nonce value to be localized into publicly accessible JavaScript objects (wpuf_upload and wpuf_frontend), satisfying the sole access control gate.

The User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.1 via the payment_page() function due to missing validation on the 'user_id' user controlled key. Jul 7, 2026Frontend File Manager: Does not validate a file path derived from user input before deleting the referenced fileCVE-2026-12277 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanHigh 8.7
The Frontend File Manager Plugin WordPress plugin through 23.6 does not validate a file path derived from user input before deleting the referenced file, allowing unauthenticated users to delete arbitrary files on the server (such as wp-config.php) when guest upload mode is enabled. Jun 27, 2026Frontend File Manager: Authenticated Arbitrary File DeletionCVE-2026-8095 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Frontend File Manager Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authenticated Arbitrary File Deletion in versions up to and including 23.6. This is due to a case-sensitive bypass of the wpfm_dir_path parameter sanitization in the wpfm_file_meta_update AJAX handler, where supplying WPFM_DIR_PATH in uppercase evades the unset check and is normalized to wpfm_dir_path by sanitize_key() during update_post_meta(), allowing an attacker to overwrite the stored file path with an arbitrary filesystem path that is then passed directly to unlink() in delete_file_locally() without any directory containment validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access to delete arbitrary files on the server, including sensitive files such as wp-config.php, potentially leading to full site takeover.

The Shariff for WordPress Shariff for WordPress plugin through 1.0.11 does not sanitize or escape the shariff_infourl setting before outputting it in the frontend HTML via the generateshariff() function, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup).
