  • Aug 16, 2026Advanced File Manager – Ultimate File Manager for WordPress And Document Library Solution: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-15009 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

The Advanced File Manager – Ultimate File Manager for WordPress And Document Library Solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'soundFile' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.4.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires the attacker to control a domain whose origin string is a leading prefix of the target site's backend URL (e.g. https://example.co against https://example.com), and the victim must be an authenticated WordPress administrator who visits the attacker-controlled page while the File Manager admin screen is open.

  • Aug 6, 2026File Manager: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-15991 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The File Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the connector function in all versions from 6.0 - 6.9. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to read and delete arbitrary files on the server, which can lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). The bypass is triggered by passing cmd=rm or cmf=file in the URL query string of a POST request: elFinder's bind registration reads the command exclusively from $_POST and therefore never registers the rm.pre permission handler, while the dispatcher reads from the merged $_GET+$_POST superglobal and executes the rm or file command unchecked against a volume that defaults to ABSPATH.

  • Jul 27, 2026Pheditor is a single-file editor and file manager written in PHP.CVE-2026-55579 · Other software · pheditor · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Pheditor is a single-file editor and file manager written in PHP. From version 2.0.1 to before version 2.0.6, Pheditor ships with a hardcoded default password admin (SHA-512 hash stored at pheditor.php:11). There is no mechanism to force a password change on first login. Any deployment using the default credentials grants an attacker full access to the file editor, file upload, and terminal features, enabling arbitrary file read/write and remote code execution. This issue has been patched in version 2.0.6.

  • Jul 27, 2026Pheditor is a single-file editor and file manager written in PHP.CVE-2026-55578 · Other software · pheditor · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Pheditor is a single-file editor and file manager written in PHP. From version 2.0.1 to before version 2.0.6, the terminal feature in Pheditor uses an incomplete character blocklist to sanitize user-supplied commands before passing them to shell_exec(). After the fix for GHSA-9643-6xjp-vx57 (which added $ to the blocklist), the characters | (single pipe), ` (backtick), and the newline byte (0x0A) remain unblocked. An authenticated user with the terminal permission (enabled by default) can leverage any of these to bypass the TERMINAL_COMMANDS allowlist and execute arbitrary OS commands as the web server user. This issue has been patched in version 2.0.6.

  • Jul 27, 2026Pheditor is a single-file editor and file manager written in PHP.CVE-2026-54540 · Other software · pheditor · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Pheditor is a single-file editor and file manager written in PHP. Prior to version 2.0.5, there is an authenticated terminal command whitelist bypass. The terminal feature checks whether the submitted command starts with one of the configured TERMINAL_COMMANDS values, then passes the full command string to shell_exec(). Shell command substitution such as $() is not blocked, so an authenticated user with the terminal permission can bypass a restricted command allowlist and execute arbitrary shell commands as the web server user. This issue has been patched in version 2.0.5.

The GoDAM – Organize WordPress Media Library & File Manager with Unlimited Folders for Images, Videos & more plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads in versions up to, and including, 1.12.2. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the save_video_file() function hooked into WPForms' public wpforms_process_before_filter, which trusts the attacker-supplied multipart Content-Type header, preserves the original filename via wp_unique_filename(), and moves the raw upload with $wp_filesystem->move() into a web-served directory — bypassing wp_handle_upload()'s MIME/extension allowlist. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

  • Jul 20, 2026FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager.CVE-2026-54910 · Other software · gtsteffaniak · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7

FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager. Prior to version 1.4.3-beta, the `subtitlesHandler` endpoint (`GET /api/media/subtitles`) accepts two user-controlled query parameters: `path` and `name`, both of which are used in filesystem operations without sanitization, creating two independent path traversal vectors. The primary vector is the `path` parameter: it is passed directly to `idx.GetRealPath()` without calling `SanitizeUserPath()`, allowing an attacker to escape the storage root and set `parentDir` to any directory on the host. No existing anchor file is required. The secondary vector is the `name` parameter: it is joined with `parentDir` via `filepath.Join(parentDir, name)` without stripping directory components, allowing traversal relative to any resolved `parentDir`. Any authenticated user (regardless of role or permissions) can exploit either vector to read any text file readable by the server process, including `/etc/passwd`, SSH keys, database credentials, and JWT signing keys. Version 1.4.3-beta patches the issue.

  • Jun 27, 2026Frontend File Manager: Authenticated Arbitrary File DeletionCVE-2026-8095 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The Frontend File Manager Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authenticated Arbitrary File Deletion in versions up to and including 23.6. This is due to a case-sensitive bypass of the wpfm_dir_path parameter sanitization in the wpfm_file_meta_update AJAX handler, where supplying WPFM_DIR_PATH in uppercase evades the unset check and is normalized to wpfm_dir_path by sanitize_key() during update_post_meta(), allowing an attacker to overwrite the stored file path with an arbitrary filesystem path that is then passed directly to unlink() in delete_file_locally() without any directory containment validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access to delete arbitrary files on the server, including sensitive files such as wp-config.php, potentially leading to full site takeover.

  • Jun 16, 2026FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager.CVE-2026-48777 · Other software · gtsteffaniak · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager. Versions prior to 1.3.2-stable, 1.4.0-beta and 1.4.1-beta are vulnerable to Path Traversal through the publicPatchHandler in backend/http/public.go which joins user-controlled fromPath and toPath body fields with the trusted d.share.Path BEFORE the downstream sanitizer runs. Because filepath.Join collapses .. segments during the join, the sanitizer in resourcePatchHandler never sees the traversal and the move/copy/rename operates on a path outside the shared directory. The same root-cause pattern was patched for the bulk DELETE endpoint as CVE-2026-44542 (GHSA-fwj3-42wh-8673), but the PATCH handler with the identical pattern was not updated. A public share link with AllowModify=true is sufficient to exploit this. Anyone holding such a link can move, copy, or rename arbitrary files within the share owner's source root. This issue has been fixed in versions 1.3.3-stable and 1.4.2-beta.

  • May 27, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-44521 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.68, an authenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the elFinder MySQL volume driver (elFinderVolumeMySQL) allows any logged-in user, including users with read-only access to the affected volume, to inject SQL through a crafted target file hash. Successful exploitation can lead to unauthorized data disclosure and denial of service. This vulnerability only affects installations configured to use the MySQL volume driver. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.68.

  • May 27, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations.CVE-2026-44460 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. Prior to 3.12.0, /api/totp_setup.php is callable from a session that has only passed the password check (state pending_login_user). When the target account already has TOTP configured, the endpoint decrypts and returns the user's existing TOTP secret inside the QR PNG instead of refusing or generating a new secret. An attacker who already possesses the victim's password can therefore retrieve the live TOTP secret, derive a valid one-time code, submit it to /api/totp_verify.php, and obtain a fully authenticated session without ever possessing the victim's authenticator device. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.12.0.

  • May 14, 2026FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager.CVE-2026-44542 · Other software · gtsteffaniak · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

FileBrowser Quantum is a free, self-hosted, web-based file manager. Prior to 1.3.1-stable and 1.3.9-beta, attacker-controlled path input is joined with a trusted base path prior to sanitization, allowing traversal sequences (e.g., ../) to escape the intended shared directory. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker possessing a valid public share hash with delete permissions enabled can delete arbitrary files outside the shared directory within the share owner’s configured storage scope. This affects public/api/resources and public/api/resources/bulk. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.3.1-stable and 1.3.9-beta.

  • May 11, 2026Symbolic-link path traversal (CWE-61, CWE-22) in pgAdmin 4 File Manager.CVE-2026-7819 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.2

Symbolic-link path traversal (CWE-61, CWE-22) in pgAdmin 4 File Manager. check_access_permission used os.path.abspath, which resolves '..' but does not resolve symbolic links, while the subsequent kernel write follows symlinks. An authenticated user could plant a symbolic link inside their own storage directory pointing outside it and induce pgAdmin to write to any path reachable by the pgAdmin process. Fix switches the access check to os.path.realpath for both source and destination, and adds an _open_upload_target helper that opens the target with O_NOFOLLOW (mode 0o600) to close the leaf-component TOCTOU between the access check and the open. File mode is hardened from 0o644 to 0o600. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.15.

  • Apr 23, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-41247 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9

elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.67, elFinder contains a command injection vulnerability in the resize command. The bg (background color) parameter is accepted from user input and passed through image resize/rotate processing. In configurations that use the ImageMagick CLI backend, this value is incorporated into shell command strings without sufficient escaping. An attacker able to invoke the resize command with a crafted bg value may achieve arbitrary command execution as the web server process user. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.67.

FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager with multi-file upload, editing, and batch operations. In versiosn 2.3.7 through 3.10.0, the file snippet endpoint `/api/file/snippet.php` allows an authenticated user with only `read_own` access to a folder to retrieve snippet content from files uploaded by other users in the same folder. This is a server-side authorization flaw in the `read_own` enforcement for hover previews. Version 3.11.0 fixes the issue.

FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server. Prior to version 3.10.0, a broken access control issue in FileRise's ONLYOFFICE integration allows an authenticated user with read-only access to obtain a signed save callbackUrl for a file and then directly forge the ONLYOFFICE save callback to overwrite that file with attacker-controlled content. This issue has been patched in version 3.10.0.

  • Mar 24, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server.CVE-2026-33329 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server. From version 1.0.1 to before version 3.10.0, the resumableIdentifier parameter in the Resumable.js chunked upload handler (UploadModel::handleUpload()) is concatenated directly into filesystem paths without any sanitization. An authenticated user with upload permission can exploit this to write files to arbitrary directories on the server, delete arbitrary directories via the post-assembly cleanup, and probe file/directory existence. This issue has been patched in version 3.10.0.

  • Mar 24, 2026ConcreteCMS v9.4.7 contains a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability in the File Manager component.CVE-2026-30662 · Other software · Concretecms · reported by MITREMedium 6.5

ConcreteCMS v9.4.7 contains a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability in the File Manager component. The 'download' method in 'concrete/controllers/backend/file.php' improperly manages memory when creating zip archives. It uses 'ZipArchive::addFromString' combined with 'file_get_contents', which loads the entire content of every selected file into PHP memory. An authenticated attacker can exploit this by requesting a bulk download of large files, triggering an Out-Of-Memory (OOM) condition that causes the PHP-FPM process to terminate (SIGSEGV) and the web server to return a 500 error.

  • Mar 20, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server.CVE-2026-33072 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server. In versions prior to 3.9.0, a hardcoded default encryption key (default_please_change_this_key) is used for all cryptographic operations — HMAC token generation, AES config encryption, and session tokens — allowing any unauthenticated attacker to forge upload tokens for arbitrary file upload to shared folders, and to decrypt admin configuration secrets including OIDC client secrets and SMTP passwords. FileRise uses a single key (PERSISTENT_TOKENS_KEY) for all crypto operations. The default value default_please_change_this_key is hardcoded in two places and used unless the deployer explicitly overrides the environment variable. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.0.

  • Mar 20, 2026FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server.CVE-2026-33071 · Other software · error311 · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server. In versions prior to 3.8.0, the WebDAV upload endpoint accepts any file extension including .phtml, .php5, .htaccess, and other server-side executable types, bypassing the filename validation enforced by the regular upload path. In non-default deployments lacking Apache's LocationMatch protection, this leads to remote code execution. When files are uploaded via WebDAV, the createFile() method in FileRiseDirectory.php and the put() method in FileRiseFile.php accept the filename directly from the WebDAV client without any validation. In contrast, the regular upload endpoint in UploadModel::upload() validates filenames against REGEX_FILE_NAME. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.0.
