  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: Reset write verifier when async COPY writeback fails Async COPY captures nn->writeveCVE-2026-89706 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: Reset write verifier when async COPY writeback fails Async COPY captures nn->writeverf at request time and reports it to the client via CB_OFFLOAD after the worker kthread completes. When the post-copy vfs_fsync_range() or filemap_check_wb_err() in _nfsd_copy_file_range() reports an error, the worker correctly leaves NFSD4_COPY_F_COMMITTED clear so that CB_OFFLOAD encodes wr_stable_how as NFS_UNSTABLE, but the server's write verifier is not rotated. A client that receives NFS_UNSTABLE in CB_OFFLOAD follows up with COMMIT to make the copied data durable. With the verifier unchanged, COMMIT returns the same value the client just received via CB_OFFLOAD, and the client concludes the copy is durable -- silently dropping the data whose writeback in fact failed. This violates the UNSTABLE+COMMIT durability contract (RFC 7862 section 15.1, RFC 8881 section 18.32) and matches the bug just fixed in nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd_commit(). Rotate nn->writeverf at the writeback-failure site. The async COPY worker has no svc_rqst, so commit_reset_write_verifier() is not available here; calling nfsd_reset_write_verifier()

  • Sep 3, 2026PlaywrightCapture contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its favicon retrieval functionality.CVE-2026-85242 · Other software · Lookyloo · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9

PlaywrightCapture contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its favicon retrieval functionality. When only_global_lookup is enabled, the application validates the initial favicon URL to prevent requests to localhost, loopback, or other non-public network addresses. However, redirects followed by aiohttp were not subjected to the same validation. An attacker able to influence the content of a page processed by PlaywrightCapture could specify a publicly reachable favicon URL that responds with an HTTP redirect to a local or otherwise restricted address, such as 127.0.0.1, localhost, or an internal network service. Because aiohttp automatically followed the redirect, the resulting request could bypass the application's local-address restrictions and cause the PlaywrightCapture host to issue HTTP requests to resources that should not be externally reachable. Depending on the services reachable from the PlaywrightCapture host and how retrieved favicon data is subsequently exposed or processed, this could be used to probe internal HTTP services or potentially obtain information from otherwise inaccessible endpoints. The patch introduces an aiohttp request middl

  • Aug 27, 2026An out-of-bounds read was found in the DHCPv4 packet capture code of wicked.CVE-2026-71402 · Other software · SUSE · reported by meissner@suse.deMedium 5.3

An out-of-bounds read was found in the DHCPv4 packet capture code of wicked. ni_capture_inspect_udp_header() in src/capture.c reports the IP total length as the payload length instead of the length of the remaining UDP payload. Consequently, the DHCP option walker in the DHCPv4 client (wickedd-dhcp4) reads up to ihl + 8 bytes — at most 68 bytes — past the end of the 1500-byte packet receive buffer. An unauthenticated attacker on the same network who sends a crafted DHCP/UDP packet can make the client parse adjacent heap memory as DHCP options, so that heap contents such as allocator metadata or pointer values can be interpreted into lease fields. The over-read is bounded to 68 bytes; no memory write, no attacker control over the adjacent bytes and no remote exfiltration primitive has been demonstrated. This issue affects wicked up to and including version 0.6.80.

  • Aug 27, 2026An integer underflow was found in the DHCPv4 packet capture code of wicked.CVE-2026-71401 · Other software · SUSE · reported by meissner@suse.deMedium 5.3

An integer underflow was found in the DHCPv4 packet capture code of wicked. ni_capture_inspect_udp_header() in src/capture.c does not verify that the IP total length field (ip_len) is at least as large as the IP header length (ihl) before subtracting the header length. An unauthenticated attacker on the same network can thereby trigger an out-of-bounds read past the receive buffer in the wicked DHCPv4 client (wickedd-dhcp4), which can crash the daemon depending on the process memory layout. No information disclosure has been demonstrated. This issue affects wicked up to and including version 0.6.80.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: us144mkii: re-anchor capture URBs on resubmission capture_urb_complete() resubmits each capture URB without anchoring it: usb_get_urb(urb); ret = usb_submit_urb(urb, GFP_ATOMIC); Anchoring is a property of a submission, not of the URB. The giveback path calls usb_unanchor_urb() before urb->complete(), so an URB resubmitted from its own completion handler is off the anchor. The capture URBs are anchored once, at stream start, so from the first completion onward tascam->capture_anchor is empty. tascam_free_urbs(), tascam_disconnect(), tascam_suspend() and the stop-work path all call usb_kill_anchored_urbs(&tascam->capture_anchor) to reap the capture URBs before anything is freed. With the anchor empty those calls return immediately and the URBs stay queued on the host controller. tascam_free_urbs() then returns the capture transfer buffers with usb_free_coherent(), and snd_card_free() releases the snd_card allocation that embeds tascam (card->private_data). The controller completes the queued URBs afterwards, writing device-supplied data into the freed transfer buffer, and capture_urb_complete() der

  • Aug 20, 2026Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay vulnerability in dropbox samly allows an attacker to authenticate as the subject of a captured SAML assertion by resubmiCVE-2026-53424 · Other software · dropbox · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbCritical 9.1

Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay vulnerability in dropbox samly allows an attacker to authenticate as the subject of a captured SAML assertion by resubmitting it. Samly.Helper.decode_idp_auth_resp/3 in lib/samly/helper.ex calls esaml_sp:validate_assertion/2, whose default duplicate detector is a no-op. The /3 arity accepting a DuplicateFun exists in esaml and implements the check, but Samly never calls it and offers no configuration to supply one, so the SAML 2.0 Web Browser SSO Profile requirement that a bearer assertion be used once is unenforced. An attacker holding a valid SAMLResponse obtained from the network, from browser history, or from logs can submit the identical bytes repeatedly until the assertion's NotOnOrAfter passes, each time establishing a session as the assertion's subject. This issue affects samly: from 0.3.0 onward.

  • Aug 19, 2026Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated third party to obtain paid resources by replaying a transfer settled by an unreCVE-2026-73136 · Other software · ZenHive · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.2

Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated third party to obtain paid resources by replaying a transfer settled by an unrelated payer. MPP.Methods.Tempo normally binds a settled TIP-20 TransferWithMemo to the specific challenge under verification through an attribution nonce carried in the memo. When a static "memo" is configured in method_config, check_matched_memo_binding/3 returns the match unconditionally and that binding is skipped, leaving only token, recipient, amount and the static memo value to match on. The static memo is echoed in every unauthenticated 402 response and Tempo transfers are public, so an attacker can take any matching transfer paid by a legitimate customer, request a fresh challenge for the same route, and present that transaction hash as a type="hash" credential. The hash path performs no sender or signature check tying the presenter to the wallet that broadcast the transfer. This issue affects mpp: from 0.6.1 before 0.6.4.

  • Aug 19, 2026Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated remote client to obtain paid resources by resubmitting one settled on-chain traCVE-2026-67581 · Other software · ZenHive · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.7

Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated remote client to obtain paid resources by resubmitting one settled on-chain transfer. MPP.Methods.EVM.verify/2 accepts a transaction-hash credential and matches a transfer purely on token, to and amount (ERC-20) or to and value (native). It binds the proof neither to the challenge being verified nor to any record of prior use, and the generic MPP.Plug dedup store keys on challenge.id, which is regenerated for every 402 response. On a static-price route, a single historical transfer matching the charge therefore satisfies an unbounded number of later charges, including transfers an attacker can read off a public block explorer. This issue affects mpp: from 0.3.0 before 0.6.3.

Favicon URLs extracted from rendered HTML were resolved and subsequently fetched directly using an aiohttp.ClientSession. An attacker able to supply or control a web page processed by PlaywrightCapture could include a crafted favicon reference, for example pointing to a loopback address, private IP address, or another resource reachable only from the PlaywrightCapture host. When the page was processed, the favicon retrieval routine could issue an HTTP request to this destination despite only_global_lookup being enabled. This bypass could therefore be used to make the PlaywrightCapture host interact with internal network services that should not be reachable through a capture. Depending on the targeted service and its response, this could enable internal service discovery, access to internal resources, or interact

The Subscriptions for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 2.0.1 does not validate the payment amount or bind the PayPal order token to the order being completed on the WooCommerce order-received flow: it captures a client-supplied token and marks the order paid whenever the capture status is COMPLETED, without comparing the captured amount to the order total. The RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin before 6.0.9.5 does not compare the verified PayPal capture's amount, currency, payee, or prior use against the registration it is finalising: its server-side check only confirms the capture status is COMPLETED. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore finalise an expensive paid registration with any genuinely-completed low-value capture, and replay a single capture across unlimited registrations because captures are not de-duplicated.

Each redundant call corrupts the anchor's doubly-linked list and inflates the URB refcount. When usb_kill_anchored_urbs() traverses the list during stream stop / suspend / disconnect, the corrupted list leads to use-after-free. Remove the redundant usb_anchor_urb() from the resubmit path.

Authentication Bypass by Capture-replay vulnerability in malach-it Boruta allows an attacker who has obtained a previously valid JWT client assertion to authenticate as the issuing OAuth client after the assertion has expired. Boruta accepts JWT-based client authentication (client_secret_jwt and private_key_jwt token endpoint authentication methods) but never enforces that the assertion's exp claim is in the future. The pre-check helper Boruta.Oauth.Request.Base.check_expiration/1 in lib/boruta/oauth/request/base.ex only verifies that an exp claim is present (it pattern-matches on the existence of the key and returns success), and the Joken token configuration used for signature verification, Boruta.Oauth.Authorization.Client.Token.token_config/0 in lib/boruta/oauth/authorization/client.ex, returns an empty map, so Joken's default exp claim validator is not engaged either. Any attacker who obtains a validly-signed client assertion (for example through logs, reverse proxies, browser tooling, or other observability surfaces) can replay it indefinitely to authenticate as the client and obtain access tokens with that client's privileges. This issue affects boruta: from 2.3.0 before 2

Lookyloo did not enforce limits on the decompressed size of uploaded capture archives and compressed HAR files. An attacker could submit a specially crafted ZIP, gzip, or zlib-compressed capture containing data that expands to a very large size during processing. Because the application decompressed this content directly in memory without first limiting the output size, processing the malicious capture could exhaust available memory, terminate a web or worker process, or make the Lookyloo instance unavailable. The vulnerability affects both full Lookyloo capture archive imports and API submissions containing gzip-compressed HAR data. Repeated exploitation could cause a persistent denial-of-service condition until the affected processes or instance are restarted. The patch introduces: * A 1 GB cumulative uncompressed-size limit for imported capture archives. * Size-limited gzip and zlib decompression for compressed HAR files. * Explicit detection and handling of suspected zip bombs. * An HTTP 400 response when an oversized compressed HAR file is submitted through the API.

  • Jul 27, 2026A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability existed in the capture tree visualization page.CVE-2026-66824 · Other software · lookyloo · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Critical 9.2

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability existed in the capture tree visualization page. The application embedded the serialized capture tree directly into an inline JavaScript block using the Jinja safe filter. Because the tree data can contain values derived from captured and potentially attacker-controlled web content, a specially crafted value could prematurely terminate the surrounding <script> element and inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript. The malicious code would execute in the browser of a user viewing the affected capture tree. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to perform actions using the victim’s authenticated session, access information available to the victim, or modify application data within the permissions of the affected user. The patch removes the JSON data from the HTML document and retrieves it through a dedicated API endpoint. The client then processes the response using response.json(), preventing capture data from being interpreted as executable content within the original page’s HTML or JavaScript context.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usx2y: us144mkii: fix work UAF on disconnect tascam_disconnect() cancels capture_work and midi_in_work before usb_kill_anchored_urbs() kills the capture/MIDI-in URBs. Those URBs self-resubmit, and their completion handlers reschedule the work. A URB that completes in the small window between cancel_work_sync() and usb_kill_anchored_urbs() therefore re-arms the work after its only cancel. Nothing cancels it again before snd_card_free() frees the card-private tascam structure, so the work handler then runs on freed memory. Kill the anchored URBs before cancelling the work; once the work is cancelled no remaining URB can complete to re-arm it.
