Sep 8, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-86993 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, a Log Streaming event destination could reference a generic HTTP credential and decrypt whichever credential ID it named without an ownership check. A user with a custom global role carrying Log Streaming scopes could select a credential belonging to another project and send its decrypted secret to an attacker-controlled endpoint. The affected authorization boundary is packages/cli/src/modules/log-streaming.ee/destinations/destination-credentials-access.ts and the credential:read scope. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.37.7 and 2.38.2, the /rest/roles/:slug/assignments and /rest/roles/:slug/assignments/:projectId/members endpoints checked only whether the caller could manage the role type. A caller with role:manageProject could name a project the caller could not list and obtain member names and email addresses. The affected controller is packages/cli/src/controllers/role.controller.ts, which omitted the project:list scope check. This issue is fixed in versions 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Sep 8, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-86084 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the public OIDC login and callback endpoints completed authentication even when OIDC was not the enabled active authentication method. An Enterprise administrator who had configured and later disabled an identity provider still exposed a working route that could issue valid sessions. The affected logic is packages/cli/src/modules/sso-oidc/oidc.service.ee.ts, including generateLoginUrl and the callback flow that lacked assertOidcLoginEnabled. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Sep 8, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-86083 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the legacy expression engine generated source text by calling the mutable global JSON.stringify while printing synthetic string literals and interpolating timezone data. An expression could replace JSON.stringify and cause later generated source to contain executable attacker-controlled code. The affected code-generation paths include packages/@n8n/expression-runtime/src/bridge/isolated-vm-bridge.ts and packages/@n8n/tournament/src/ExpressionBuilder.ts, and the issue does not affect the vm expression engine. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the OpenAI Chat Model node enforced credential allowed-domain restrictions for normal calls but not for the model-search dropdown. A workflow editor could set options.baseURL to an arbitrary host and make the searchModels path send the openAiApi credential there. The affected implementation is packages/@n8n/nodes-langchain/nodes/llms/LMChatOpenAi/methods/loadModels.ts, which omitted assertOpenAiCredentialAllowsUrl. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Sep 8, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-86081 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the Git node clone operation matched an attacker-controlled destination path against the default N8N_BLOCK_FILE_PATTERNS regular expression. The pattern ^(./).git(/.)$ allowed catastrophic backtracking and ran synchronously in the main n8n process. An authenticated workflow editor could therefore freeze the instance with one workflow execution; the affected default is declared in packages/@n8n/config/src/configs/security.config.ts. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Sep 8, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-86080 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the GitHub Trigger generated a webhook secret but discarded it when GitHub returned HTTP 422 and the node reused an existing webhook. Workflow static data then retained webhookId without webhookSecret, and X-Hub-Signature-256 verification accepted deliveries without a stored secret. The affected logic includes packages/nodes-base/nodes/Github/GithubTriggerHelpers.ts and the 422 webhook reuse path. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the Elasticsearch and ElasticSecurity nodes interpolated workflow-controlled index and document identifiers directly into REST request paths. An identifier containing path separators or dot segments could select another index or a cluster administration endpoint under the stored Elasticsearch credential. The affected request construction includes packages/nodes-base/nodes/Elastic/Elasticsearch/GenericFunctions.ts and the missing toPathSegment encoding. n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.37.7 and 2.38.2, the Instance AI workflow summary used node names and connection keys from stored workflows as ordinary object keys. A workflow submitted through the REST API could contain __proto__ or constructor, causing nested writes to reach Object.prototype in the main n8n process and disrupt later requests. The affected function is summarizeWorkflowStructure in packages/@n8n/instance-ai/src/tools/workflows/summarize-workflow.ts. This issue is fixed in versions 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Sep 8, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-86077 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.37.7 and 2.38.2, the /chat WebSocket route accepted a resumeToken and resumed a paused execution without checking that the target node supported chat messages. An anonymous form submitter who received that token could reuse it on the chat route to release a Send-and-Wait, non-chat HITL, or Wait approval gate. The affected authorization logic is packages/cli/src/chat/chat-execution-manager.ts, where canResumeOverChat did not gate the resume target. This issue is fixed in versions 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the expression compiler sanitizer resolved through dynamically scoped this and did not reject reserved class member names. A class field named __sanitize could rebind the sanitizer and reach the Function constructor, enabling backend code execution and editor-preview JavaScript execution. The affected AST hook is PrototypeSanitizer in packages/workflow/src/expression-sandboxing.ts. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.37.7 and 2.38.2, the OAuth Dynamic Client Registration endpoint bounded redirect_uris but accepted arbitrarily large client_name and grant_types values. An unauthenticated remote caller could repeatedly persist oversized values in oauth_clients and exhaust database storage. The affected validation is in packages/cli/src/modules/oauth-server/oauth-server.service.ts, including MAX_CLIENT_NAME_LENGTH and MAX_GRANT_TYPES. This issue is fixed in versions 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.37.7 and 2.38.2, the Instance AI credential setup flow accepted a credential test or verification URL without checking that it matched the workflow node's origin. Attacker-controlled fetched content could influence that URL after a user injected it into the setup flow, causing authenticated requests, redirects, or probes to reach another origin. The affected logic includes packages/@n8n/instance-ai/src/tools/workflows/credential-utils.ts and the extractServiceOrigin origin derivation. This issue is fixed in versions 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Sep 8, 2026n8n is an open source workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-86073 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 2.37.7 and 2.38.1, the OAuth token endpoint bound an authorization code's first access token to the consented resource but did not bind its refresh token. Refreshing checked only that the requested resource was registered, not that it matched the original grant. An OAuth client approved for one workflow could substitute a different workflow URL in the resource parameter and obtain a valid token for an unapproved workflow accessible to the consenting user. This issue is fixed in versions 2.37.7 and 2.38.1.

Sep 3, 2026A flaw was found in the jwcrypto library, which is used for implementing Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) standards.CVE-2026-84185 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.9
A flaw was found in the jwcrypto library, which is used for implementing Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) standards. The issue occurs when the library verifies a General JSON Serialization JWS using a set of keys. Due to a coding error, the library fails to correctly identify the specific key ID (kid) and may instead accept a signature made by any valid key in the set. This can allow an attacker with a valid key to bypass authorization checks in applications that rely on the key ID to identify specific tenants or users.

Sep 1, 2026A flaw was found in Ansible Automation Platform's automation-controller (AWX).CVE-2026-84470 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.4
A flaw was found in Ansible Automation Platform's automation-controller (AWX). The Bulk Job Launch API (POST /api/v2/bulk/job_launch/) authorizes the requested instance_groups with only a read-level permission check, whereas the standard single-job launch path requires use-level permission on the same field. A principal that holds read (but not use) permission on an instance group -- for example the built-in read-only System Auditor role -- together with execute permission on a job template can launch bulk jobs onto instance groups they are not authorized to use, bypassing execution-placement isolation.

Sep 1, 2026A flaw was found in pulpcore's content serving application.CVE-2026-84232 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.4
A flaw was found in pulpcore's content serving application. Files uploaded to Pulp file-type repositories are served with their original content type (e.g., text/html for .html files, image/svg+xml for .svg files) and without a Content-Disposition: attachment header when using local filesystem storage. An authenticated user or attacker with content upload permissions can upload a specially crafted HTML or SVG file containing JavaScript, which executes in the browser of any user who visits the file URL, resulting in stored cross-site scripting (XSS) in the context of the host application.

Aug 25, 2026A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in galaxy_ng, the Ansible Galaxy server plugin for Pulp.CVE-2026-79717 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.4
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in galaxy_ng, the Ansible Galaxy server plugin for Pulp. An authenticated user with namespace management permissions can set a namespace avatar URL to an arbitrary address, including internal networks, loopback, or cloud instance metadata endpoints. A background worker fetches that URL without checking the destination, which lets the attacker probe internal services and enumerate reachable IP addresses. The HTTP client is also configured without an overall timeout, so a slow or non-responsive target can pin workers and cause a denial of service.

Aug 24, 2026A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in multiple AWX notification backends.CVE-2026-71366 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.7
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in multiple AWX notification backends. The webhook, Mattermost, Rocket.Chat, and Grafana notification backends use notification template URLs as direct HTTP request targets without validating the target address against private, loopback, or reserved IP ranges. An organization notification administrator can create notification templates pointing to internal or loopback addresses, causing the AWX control node to issue HTTP requests to services that are not externally accessible. Additionally, the webhook notification backend follows HTTP redirects and resends configured Basic Authentication credentials to redirect targets regardless of host change, allowing an attacker to exfiltrate notification credentials by redirecting to an attacker-controlled host. The Grafana backend sends its API key in the Authorization header to the configured target URL.

Aug 24, 2026A path traversal vulnerability was found in AWX's project archive extraction.CVE-2026-71364 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.2
A path traversal vulnerability was found in AWX's project archive extraction. The project_archive action plugin extracts zip and tar archive members by joining the project directory path with the member filename without performing path normalization, boundary validation, or rejecting directory traversal sequences. A malicious archive containing members with path traversal components can write files to arbitrary locations on the execution node's filesystem outside the intended project directory. An attacker who controls the archive content, either through a compromised upstream source, a malicious archive URL, or a man-in-the-middle attack on a plain HTTP connection, can achieve arbitrary file writes as the user performing the extraction, potentially leading to remote code execution through mechanisms such as cron files, SSH authorized keys, or playbook content injection.

Aug 20, 2026n8n is a workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-77083 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6
n8n is a workflow automation platform. In versions prior to 1.123.69, 2.33.4, and 2.34.1, the JavaScript Code node's VM sandbox did not freeze the sandbox's Function.prototype, allowing an authenticated user with the ability to create and execute workflows to pollute it from within a Code node execution and recover a reference to the host's globalThis, resulting in a sandbox escape. The full exploit chain additionally depends on specific modules being available as allowlisted imports in the deployment's configuration. The issue is fixed in versions 1.123.69, 2.33.4, and 2.34.1.

Aug 18, 2026A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in AWX's webhook status callback mechanism.CVE-2026-71365 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.7
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in AWX's webhook status callback mechanism. When processing GitHub pull request webhooks, AWX extracts the status callback URL (pull_request.statuses_url) from the incoming webhook payload without validating the target host against the expected Git provider. This URL is persisted in job extra variables and later used to send authenticated status updates. A user with admin role on a webhook-enabled job template can read the template's webhook signing key, forge a signed GitHub webhook payload with an arbitrary statuses_url, and cause AWX to POST status updates to an attacker-controlled or internal URL. The status update request includes the configured Git Personal Access Token (PAT) in the Authorization header, resulting in credential leakage to the attacker-specified endpoint.

Aug 18, 2026A flaw was found in the AAP Controller's HashiCorp Vault credential plugin.CVE-2026-12564 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9.6
A flaw was found in the AAP Controller's HashiCorp Vault credential plugin. The kubernetes_auth() function in awx_plugins/credentials/hashivault.py reads the controller pod's Kubernetes service account token and sends it to an attacker-controlled URL when a HashiCorp Vault Secret Lookup credential with kubernetes_role authentication is tested. An authenticated attacker with credential-creation privileges can exfiltrate the service account token, gaining Kubernetes API access to the control plane namespaces with full pod CRUD and secret read permissions, including database credentials and the Django SECRET_KEY.

A flaw was found in aap-gateway, a component of Ansible Automation Platform's Event-Driven Ansible (EDA). An unauthenticated remote attacker can bypass mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS) authentication for event streams. This is achieved by manipulating the event stream URL and forging the HTTP Subject header. The system also inadvertently discloses the expected certificate subject in error messages, which simplifies the attack. This vulnerability allows an attacker to inject arbitrary events into EDA, potentially triggering automated workflows.

Jul 27, 2026A flaw was found in the Event-Driven Ansible (EDA) server.CVE-2026-12383 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5
A flaw was found in the Event-Driven Ansible (EDA) server. The ExternalEventStreamViewSet uses permissive access controls (permission_classes=[AllowAny], authentication_classes=[]) and relies solely on the Subject HTTP header value for mTLS authentication without verifying that the header originated from a trusted proxy. Additionally, the expected certificate Distinguished Name is leaked in the 403 error response body. A flaw was found in the Visual Studio Code Ansible Lightspeed extension. This command injection vulnerability (CWE-78) arises from improper handling of the ansible.executionEnvironment.containerOptions and ansible.executionEnvironment.volumeMounts settings, allowing an attacker to inject shell separators. This can be triggered automatically during Language Server initialization or manually when executing a playbook. Successful exploitation leads to remote code execution (RCE) on the victim's machine with the privileges of the Visual Studio Code user, potentially resulting in a complete system compromise.

Jul 22, 2026A flaw was found in the Ansible Lightspeed Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.CVE-2026-44192 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.6
A flaw was found in the Ansible Lightspeed Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. This vulnerability, known as path traversal, allows an attacker to manipulate an AI agent through indirect prompt injection. By doing so, the attacker can cause the server to write files to unauthorized locations on the user's system. This can result in the exposure of sensitive host information and enable the attacker to execute malicious commands, potentially leading to a full system compromise.

Jul 22, 2026A flaw was found in the Ansible Lightspeed Visual Studio Code extension.CVE-2026-44190 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.8
A flaw was found in the Ansible Lightspeed Visual Studio Code extension. This Command Injection vulnerability (CWE-78) allows a remote attacker to execute unauthorized commands on a user's system. The issue occurs because the `ansible.python.activationScript` setting, intended for a virtual environment activation script, does not properly validate user input as a file path. If a user opens or executes a specially crafted project, an attacker could exploit this to gain complete control over the user's system with the privileges of the Visual Studio Code application.

Jul 22, 2026A flaw was found in the Visual Studio Code Ansible Lightspeed extension's AnsiblePlaybookRunProvider.CVE-2026-44189 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.8
A flaw was found in the Visual Studio Code Ansible Lightspeed extension's AnsiblePlaybookRunProvider. This command injection vulnerability allows an attacker to craft a malicious playbook filename containing special characters. When a victim runs the playbook, these characters are not properly sanitized, leading to the execution of arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running VS Code. This could result in a full system compromise, including the exfiltration of sensitive data, modification of project files, and permanent data loss.

Jul 22, 2026A flaw was found in the Ansible Lightspeed extension for Visual Studio Code.CVE-2026-44187 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatLow 3.3
A flaw was found in the Ansible Lightspeed extension for Visual Studio Code. This vulnerability allows an attacker with local access to the workstation, or malware running with the user's privileges, to read the Google Gemini API key. The extension insecurely stores the API key in plain text within the user's configuration file and writes it to output log files. This information disclosure can lead to the attacker obtaining the API credential and potentially consuming the user's API quota.

Jul 22, 2026A flaw was found in AWX.CVE-2026-16544 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5
A flaw was found in AWX. The websocket event consumer performs RBAC authorization checks only for event groups that are mapped in the consumer_access() function (job_events, workflow_events, ad_hoc_command_events). Three event groups - inventory_update_events, project_update_events, and system_job_events — are not mapped, causing the authorization check to be skipped. Any authenticated user can subscribe to these unmapped websocket event groups for any object ID and receive real-time stdout output from jobs belonging to organizations they have no access to. This is an incomplete remediation of CVE-2020-10698.

Jul 20, 2026A path traversal vulnerability was found in pulpcore.CVE-2026-12701 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9
A path traversal vulnerability was found in pulpcore. The relative_path_validator function only verifies that content paths do not begin with "/" but fails to block directory traversal sequences such as "../" anywhere in the path. An authenticated administrator can craft a relative_path containing embedded traversal sequences (e.g., "looking/normal/../../../../etc/shadow") that escapes the intended export directory during FilesystemExport operations. Because the file content is also user-controlled (uploaded artifact), this allows arbitrary file write to any location writable by the Pulp service user, potentially leading to service compromise or further system exploitation.

Jul 16, 2026Activepieces is an open source AI workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-53536 · Other software · activepieces · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Activepieces is an open source AI workflow automation platform. Prior to 0.83.0, the /v1/step-files/signed download endpoint verified the supplied JWT against the shared signing secret but did not check the token's audience, and combined with a missing null-check on the decoded fileId, this allowed any caller holding any valid Activepieces JWT (including a freshly created user's own access token) to receive a step-file belonging to another tenant. The file returned was whatever PostgreSQL happened to scan first for type = FLOW_STEP_FILE, varying over time as the database changed, so an authenticated user could obtain step-file attachments belonging to other tenants on the same instance; the attacker could not target a specific victim or file, and the access was read-only with no integrity or availability impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.83.0.

Jul 16, 2026Activepieces is an open source AI workflow automation platform.CVE-2026-53535 · Other software · activepieces · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
Activepieces is an open source AI workflow automation platform. Prior to 0.82.0, the git-sync feature clones a user-configured Git repository into a temporary directory on the server and then writes flow, table, and connection state into it before pushing back, and two separate weaknesses allowed those writes to escape the intended workspace and land on arbitrary paths on the host filesystem: Git's symbolic-link handling was not disabled on the clone, so an attacker who controlled the remote repository could include symlinks that redirected the writes, and several user-supplied identifiers used to build on-disk paths (the repository slug and the externalId of tables, flows, and connections) were not validated against directory-traversal sequences such as ../. On a self-hosted Enterprise Edition deployment, a user authorized to configure or push to a git-sync repository (holding the WRITE_PROJECT_RELEASE permission) could cause the server to overwrite files anywhere the Activepieces process user can write, which depending on host layout can be leveraged for tampering, denial of service, or remote code execution. This issue is fixed in version 0.82.0.

Jul 15, 2026A flaw was found in the AAP Gateway Envoy proxy configuration.CVE-2026-12382 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8.2
A flaw was found in the AAP Gateway Envoy proxy configuration. The non-mTLS route to EDA event streams does not remove the Subject HTTP header from client requests, despite the source code defining requestHeadersToRemove for this header. An unauthenticated remote attacker can inject a spoofed Subject header matching a legitimate client certificate DN to bypass mTLS authentication and inject arbitrary events into protected EDA event streams.

Jun 26, 2026AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents.CVE-2026-56663 · Other software · Significant-Gravitas · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. Prior to 0.6.52, an authenticated user can bypass the SSRF / private-IP protections in SendWebRequestBlock and reach internal network services. _is_ip_blocked() in backend/backend/util/request.py does not normalize IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses before checking resolved IPs against the blocked IPv4 ranges, and does not block special-use ranges such as 100.64.0.0/10 (CGNAT, RFC 6598). A hostname that resolves to an IPv4-mapped IPv6 address therefore passes validation and the request reaches the embedded internal IPv4 endpoint. This affects all AutoGPT Platform deployments. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.52.
