Sep 28, 2026The native BSD-socket layer recorded a pending asynchronous socket error by type-punning it into struct net_context's void user_data field (ctx->user_data = INTCVE-2026-18417 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5
The native BSD-socket layer recorded a pending asynchronous socket error by type-punning it into struct net_context's void user_data field (ctx->user_data = INT_TO_POINTER(-status) in zsock_accepted_cb(), zsock_received_cb(), zsock_connected_cb() and zsock_close_ctx() in subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets_inet.c), reading it back with POINTER_TO_INT(). That same field is owned by the network stack for listening TCP contexts: net_tcp_accept() stores the parent context pointer there and the TCP core passes it back to the registered accept callback. A failed accept therefore left a small integer (an errno value) where the stack expected a struct net_context . When the network interface carrying a listening TCP socket goes down, close_tcp_conn() in subsys/net/ip/tcp.c invokes the accept callback with -ENETDOWN and the context's user_data. In v4.3.0 the callback was not disarmed afterwards, so a second interface-down event forwarded the previously stored errno to zsock_accepted_cb(), which dereferenced it as the parent context and performed several stores through it (sock_set_error()'s read-modify-write of socket_data, k_fifo_cancel_wait(&parent->recv_q)) — the crash described in the fix's

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ppp_async: drop the errored frame instead of resetting its headroom ppp_receive_nonmp_framCVE-2026-98158 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ppp_async: drop the errored frame instead of resetting its headroom ppp_receive_nonmp_frame() prepends a two-byte direction tag before running the pass/active BPF filters: *(__be16 *)skb_push(skb, 2) = htons(PPP_FILTER_INBOUND_TAG); Nothing on the receive path guarantees those two bytes of headroom. The frame-error path in ppp_async's process_input_packet() resets a reused skb's headroom to zero while claiming to restore it to a freshly allocated state - but a fresh skb from dev_alloc_skb() carries NET_SKB_PAD: err: if (skb) { /* make skb appear as freshly allocated */ skb_trim(skb, 0); skb_reserve(skb, - skb_headroom(skb)); } ap->rpkt still points at that skb, so the next frame is reassembled into it with no headroom at all. A peer that sends a bad-FCS frame followed by one beginning ff 03 then leaves a single byte of headroom by the time the filter tag is pushed, which lands one byte below skb->head: skbuff: skb_under_panic: len:49 put:2 head:ffff888003c10000 data:ffff888003c0ffff tail:0x30 end:0x640 dev:<NULL> kernel BUG at net/core/skbuff.c:214! Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/crypto: Fix wrong return code to engine in asynch callbacks When crypto_finalize_hashCVE-2026-97589 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/crypto: Fix wrong return code to engine in asynch callbacks When crypto_finalize_hash_request() or crypto_finalize_skcipher_request() explicitly completes a request, the do_one_request callback must return 0 to indicate successful handling. Returning a negative error code causes the crypto engine to assume the driver failed to take ownership and triggers a second completion via crypto_request_complete(), resulting in a double completion. This pattern occurs in paes_s390.c 4 times and once in phmac_s390.c. Fixed in phmac_do_one_request() and all four paes do_one_request callbacks (ecb, cbc, ctr, xts) by returning 0 after explicit finalization instead of propagating the error code.

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error This fixes a kernel panic in CVE-2026-97474 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.4
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error This fixes a kernel panic in reconfig failure: 1. we have a BSS connection 2. we have a NAN connection 3. FW error occurs 4. reconfig restores the BSS connection 5. however, restoring the NAN connection fails due to a FW error. 6. erroneously, ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is called and marks all interfaces as not-in-driver (will be fixed in a different patch). 7. mac80211 frees the links of the BSS connection but doesn't tell the driver about that, as it thinks that this vif is not in the driver. 8. in ieee80211_stop_device, *ALL* wiphy works are getting flushed (erroneously?) 9. Therefore, async_handlers_wk is being executed, processing the statistics notification that was received after we restored the BSS connection. 10. the notification handler dereferences fw_id_to_bss_conf[id], which is now a dangling pointer, as mac80211 already freed this link in (7). 11. On the first access to one of the links fields, we panic. While this can and should be fixed by removing the call to ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure in (6), it is al

Sep 22, 2026AnyIO is a high level asynchronous concurrency and networking framework that works on top of either Trio or asyncio.CVE-2026-63374 · Other software · agronholm · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
AnyIO is a high level asynchronous concurrency and networking framework that works on top of either Trio or asyncio. Prior to 4.14.2, connect_tcp() and TLSStream.wrap() can validate internationalized host names after the standard library converts them with IDNA 2003 instead of IDNA 2008. When a connection to a non-ASCII domain is hijacked or redirected, an attacker can obtain a legitimate certificate for the different ASCII hostname produced by IDNA 2003 and present it to the client, causing the malicious endpoint's certificate to validate. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.2.

Sep 19, 2026Metasync: Unauthorized modification of dataCVE-2026-15947 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Metasync plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the save_instant_indexing_settings() function in versions up to, and including, 2.6.23. This function is registered on the admin_init hook and only checks for the presence of $_POST['submit'] before writing attacker-supplied $_POST['metasync_post_types'] into the site-wide 'metasync_options_instant_indexing' option via update_option(); no current_user_can()/current_user_has_plugin_access() check and no nonce verification are performed. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to modify the site's Google Instant Indexing post-type configuration, controlling which post types are auto-submitted to Google's Instant Indexing service.

Sep 18, 2026Autobahn Python is a WebSocket and WAMP implementation for Python that supports Twisted and asyncio.CVE-2026-77528 · Other software · crossbario · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Autobahn Python is a WebSocket and WAMP implementation for Python that supports Twisted and asyncio. Prior to 26.7.1, WebSocket endpoints that accept permessage-deflate and rely on maxMessagePayloadSize enforce that limit against the compressed frame length before inflation but do not recheck the decompressed message size before delivery. A remote unauthenticated client can send a valid compressed frame below the configured wire-size limit that expands beyond the application message limit, causing oversized data to be allocated, joined, validated, and passed to application callbacks. This can create resource-exhaustion pressure, but the advisory does not establish confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 26.7.1.

Sep 18, 2026c-ares is an asynchronous resolver library.CVE-2026-69186 · Other software · c-ares · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
c-ares is an asynchronous resolver library. Prior to 1.34.7, ares_dns_parse() trusts the attacker-controlled ANCOUNT, NSCOUNT, and ARCOUNT fields before confirming that the DNS response contains enough bytes for the claimed records. Because process_answer() invokes parsing before transaction ID and question validation, a malicious DNS response can cause ares_dns_record_rr_prealloc() and ares_array_set_size() to reserve disproportionate heap memory for a tiny message. Repeated responses create large allocation and release cycles that can degrade or deny name resolution, without causing memory corruption or information disclosure. This issue is fixed in version 1.34.7.

Sep 18, 2026c-ares is an asynchronous resolver library.CVE-2026-69184 · Other software · c-ares · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
c-ares is an asynchronous resolver library. Prior to 1.34.7, ares_dns_name_parse() enforces backward DNS compression pointers but does not bound the total pointer hops or assembled name length. A malicious DNS server can send a response containing a long descending pointer chain and many resource records whose NAME or RDATA fields refer to the chain, causing repeated decompression work that grows quadratically with message size. A single crafted response can stall the single-threaded c-ares event loop and deny DNS resolution, without causing memory corruption or information disclosure. This issue is fixed in version 1.34.7.

Sep 18, 2026AnyIO is a high level asynchronous concurrency and networking framework that works on top of either Trio or asyncio.CVE-2026-64847 · Other software · agronholm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8
AnyIO is a high level asynchronous concurrency and networking framework that works on top of either Trio or asyncio. Prior to 4.14.2, AnyIO starts process-pool workers with standard error connected to a pipe that the parent never drains, even though the documented behavior redirects all three standard streams. Worker code that writes enough attacker-influenced data to sys.stderr can fill the pipe and block before returning the standard-output protocol response, causing the awaiting process-pool call to remain blocked indefinitely. Applications that run untrusted or faulty worker code capable of producing substantial standard-error output are affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.2.

Sep 18, 2026AnyIO is a high level asynchronous concurrency and networking framework that works on top of either Trio or asyncio.CVE-2026-63349 · Other software · agronholm · reported by GitHubHigh 7
AnyIO is a high level asynchronous concurrency and networking framework that works on top of either Trio or asyncio. In 4.14.0, AnyIO accepts the POSIX extra_groups argument in anyio.run_process() and anyio.open_process(), but open_process() forwards the group argument to the backend instead of extra_groups. A caller that supplies extra_groups=[] to clear inherited supplementary groups can therefore launch a child that retains the parent process groups, undermining a privilege-dropping boundary. If group is also supplied, the integer group value is passed where an iterable of supplementary groups is expected and the launch can fail with TypeError. This issue affects POSIX applications that rely on AnyIO subprocess helpers to launch less-privileged child processes. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.2.

Sep 18, 2026ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 (com.arcadedb:arcadedb-engine <= 26.8.1) fails to bind the authenticated principal onto the DatabaseAsyncTransaction async worker threadsCVE-2026-93596 · Other software · ArcadeData · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3
ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 (com.arcadedb:arcadedb-engine <= 26.8.1) fails to bind the authenticated principal onto the DatabaseAsyncTransaction async worker threads used by the parallel edge-connect phase of POST /api/v1/batch/{database}. Because those workers have no current user, LocalDatabase.checkPermissionsOnFile returns early and allows the write, bypassing per-type CREATE_RECORD/UPDATE_RECORD ACL enforcement. In deployments that rely on per-type or per-group ACLs, an authenticated low-privilege user holding CREATE_RECORD on an edge type E but with CREATE_RECORD/UPDATE_RECORD revoked on a vertex type V can submit a graph edge-load batch request (with parallelFlush at its default value of true) and durably append edges to protected vertices of type V by writing records into V's <V>_out_edges/<V>_in_edges buckets, resulting in unauthorized modification of graph adjacency. Setting parallelFlush=false causes the request to be correctly rejected. This is an incomplete fix of GHSA-c23x-pqcj-7hfm, which bound the principal only on the HTTP handler thread.

ESPAsyncWebServer is an asynchronous HTTP and WebSocket server library for ESP32, ESP8266, RP2040 and RP2350. Prior to 3.11.1, the multipart/form-data parser in src/WebRequest.cpp stores _boundaryPosition as an 8-bit value while _parseMultipartPostByte processes the boundary. A remote request containing an exactly 256-byte multipart boundary wraps _boundaryPosition from 255 to zero, prevents the boundary parsing loop from terminating, consumes excessive CPU, and triggers a FreeRTOS watchdog reset on affected ESP32 or ESP8266 devices. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l2-async: Unregister sub-device if asc_list is empty When my em28xx USB device that uses the i2c tvp5150 driver is disconnected, it crashes. The cause is that the tvp5150 i2c module uses v4l2_async, but the em28xx driver does not since it predates v4l2_async. In that corner case sd->asc_list is empty, so v4l2_async_unregister_subdev() never calls v4l2_device_unregister_subdev(). Modify the code so that, if sd->asc_list is empty, v4l2_device_unregister_subdev() is still called.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: pn533: hold a reference to the request skb during send_frame __pn533_send_async() pubCVE-2026-90222 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: pn533: hold a reference to the request skb during send_frame __pn533_send_async() publishes the command and then calls dev->phy_ops->send_frame(). Once dev->cmd is set, an incoming frame can be matched to this command: the I2C threaded IRQ runs pn533_recv_frame(), which queues cmd_complete_work, and pn533_send_async_complete() frees cmd->req with consume_skb(). On the I2C transport, pn533_i2c_send_frame() still dereferences the same skb after i2c_master_send() returns, so a completion that races the send can free the skb while the transport is still using it. The request skb is owned by the command object and may be freed by command completion at any time after dev->cmd is published, so the transport send path must not assume it stays alive. Hold a temporary reference to the request skb across the send_frame() call so the transport always sees a live skb even if completion races the send. Add a pn533_send_cmd_frame() helper and use it from all three send paths.

Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: acomp - allocate async request context when cloning ACOMP_REQUEST_ON_STACK() reserCVE-2026-90069 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: acomp - allocate async request context when cloning ACOMP_REQUEST_ON_STACK() reserves only enough storage for the synchronous fallback. When an async implementation is selected, callers clone that stack request before retrying, but acomp_request_clone() currently copies only the stack-sized object. The clone therefore has no storage for the async provider request context, and providers such as QAT write past the allocation through acomp_request_ctx(). KASAN does report a slab OOB write. Allocate a zeroed clone large enough for the runtime acomp request size, copy only the bytes present in the source object, and preserve the existing fallback-on-allocation-failure behavior. Use the runtime reqsize because an implementation may adjust it during tfm initialization.

Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85720 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.0.0 until 2.16.1 and 3.0.12, a request using an HTTP proxy to reach an HTTPS origin can expose preemptive origin credentials because NettyRequestFactory and NettyRequestSender.sendRequestWithNewChannel attach Authorization to the plaintext CONNECT request before the TLS tunnel exists. Basic or Digest credentials and per-connection NTLM, Kerberos, or SPNEGO tokens intended for the origin are therefore visible to the proxy and to observers on the client-to-proxy hop. The tunneled request still receives origin Authorization after the tunnel is established, while Proxy-Authorization remains on CONNECT for its intended proxy recipient. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12.

Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85716 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubLow 3.7
The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 3.0.8 until 3.0.12, processScramAuthenticationInfo and processAuthenticationInfo compute the SCRAM ServerSignature or Digest rspauth verification result but log a mismatch and still deliver the response as authenticated. On a non-TLS or compromised transport, a peer that has not proved knowledge of the shared secret can therefore be accepted as the server. The fix rejects a present invalid value and computes Digest rspauth from the Authorization parameters actually sent, but verification remains unenforced when the value is absent, the sent parameters cannot be recovered, or Digest uses qop=auth-int. Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85721 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.0.0 until 2.16.1 and 3.0.12, automatic response decompression on the HTTP/1.1 path uses ChannelManager.newHttpContentDecompressor() to install Http1ContentDecompressor without a cumulative output-size limit. A hostile or compromised server, or an attacker who can alter a response in transit, can send a small gzip, deflate, or snappy response that expands across chunks until the client exhausts its heap and raises OutOfMemoryError; brotli and zstd are also affected when their optional codecs are present. In versions 3.0.8 through 3.0.10, the HTTP/2 decompressor is also unbounded, so switching protocols does not mitigate the issue on those releases. A limit applied to each decode call is insufficient because the response can be delivered as many small chunks, so the fixed implementation tracks total decompressed bytes for the whole response. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12.

Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85719 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.1.0 until 2.16.1 and 3.0.12, requests using an authenticated SOCKS proxy can expose the proxy's credentials to the origin because NettyRequestFactory and NettyRequestSender attach Proxy-Authorization without confirming that the request is being sent to an HTTP proxy. With preemptive proxy authentication, the header is attached to a plaintext HTTP request, exposing credentials such as directly reversible Basic credentials to the origin. With the default non-preemptive flow, a hostile origin can return a 407 response and ProxyUnauthorized407Interceptor sends the proxy credentials through the existing SOCKS tunnel, including NTLM, Kerberos, and SPNEGO credentials. Releases before 2.1.0 lack SOCKS proxy support. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12.

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 3.0.8 until 3.0.12, a client with maxConnections or maxConnectionsPerHost set above zero leaks one connection permit whenever TLS connection establishment fails before the handshake completes. NettyConnectListener removes the partitionKeyLock permit from NettyResponseFuture before every failure path is bound to the channel closeFuture, so an abort can leave the permit unreleased. Repeated failures can permanently lock out one host under a per-host limit or drain the shared pool under a global limit, blocking later requests even when no connection remains open. vm2 before 3.11.8 does not fully enforce the allowAsync: false option in VM and NodeVM. While localPromise.prototype.then is replaced with a handler that throws 'Async not available', the sandbox's Promise static methods (Promise.resolve, Promise.all, Promise.race, Promise.any, and Promise.allSettled) still assimilate attacker-supplied thenables: native promise resolution performs PromiseResolveThenableJob and invokes the sandboxed code's then method in a microtask without passing through the patched then, so the async restriction is never applied. As a result, sandboxed script can schedule work that runs after VM.run() or NodeVM.run() has returned and outside the configured timeout, continuing to execute after the host believes execution is complete.

AsyncSSH is a Python package which provides an asynchronous client and server implementation of the SSHv2 protocol on top of the Python asyncio framework. Prior to 2.24.0, _process_channel_open and _process_channel_open_confirmation in asyncssh/connection.py accept a peer-supplied send_pktsize value of zero. When channel data reaches SSHChannel._flush_send_buf in asyncssh/channel.py, the zero value causes each loop iteration to slice and remove zero bytes without reducing the send window, leaving the synchronous loop permanently true with no await point. A malicious SSH server can trigger the client path through SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_OPEN_CONFIRMATION before the first channel write, while an authenticated client can trigger the server path through SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_OPEN and freeze every current and future connection handled by the process. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.24.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: intel/ipu6: fix async notifier cleanup leak on parse error isys_notifier_init() calls v4l2_async_nf_init() and then adds fwnode remote subdevs in a loop with v4l2_async_nf_add_fwnode_remote(). If an endpoint parse or add fails partway through the loop, it jumps to err_parse and returns without calling v4l2_async_nf_cleanup(), leaking every v4l2_async_connection already added to the notifier's waiting list. The register-failure path just below already cleans up correctly, and the caller only tears the notifier down (isys_notifier_cleanup()) once isys_notifier_init() has returned success. Clean up the notifier on the parse error path too.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l2-async: avoid deleting unlinked ASC entry on link error v4l2_async_match_notify() creates ancillary media links before adding asc->asc_subdev_entry to sd->asc_list. If ancillary link creation fails, the function jumps to err_call_unbind while asc_subdev_entry has not been linked yet. Async connections are zero-allocated, so the list entry still has NULL next and prev pointers on this path. Calling list_del() on it can therefore dereference NULL instead of returning the original link creation error. Do not delete asc_subdev_entry from err_call_unbind. There is no list insertion to undo on this path; the bound callback and sub-device registration are the operations that need to be rolled back.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Avoid double completion in async IOCB timeout qla2x00_async_iocb_timeout() tries to abort a timed-out async IOCB. When qla24xx_async_abort_cmd() fails, both the SRB_LOGIN_CMD path and the SRB_CTRL_VP/default path scan outstanding_cmds[] for the SRB and then call sp->done(sp, QLA_FUNCTION_TIMEOUT) unconditionally, without checking whether the SRB was actually found and removed. If the response ISR completes the same handle first, it removes the SRB under qp_lock_ptr and runs sp->done() -> complete(sp->comp). The submitter qla24xx_control_vp() wakes from wait_for_completion(), clears sp->comp, drops its reference and returns, reclaiming the on-stack completion. The timer reference keeps the SRB alive across the timeout handler, but not the submitter's stack. The timeout then issues a second sp->done() -> qla_ctrlvp_sp_done(), which evaluates "if (sp->comp) complete(sp->comp)"; with the pointer loaded before the submitter's NULL store, complete() writes into the freed stack frame, a use-after-free. Track whether this path removed the SRB from outstanding_cmds and only call sp->done() when it did, so

Sep 15, 2026Cyberdrop-DL is a bulk asynchronous downloader for multiple file hosts.CVE-2026-54254 · Other software · Cyberdrop-DL · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
Cyberdrop-DL is a bulk asynchronous downloader for multiple file hosts. From 8.5.0 until 9.14.0, the Pixeldrain crawler uses substring host matching instead of requiring the input host to be an exact member of SUPPORTED_DOMAINS, and then reuses that input host for API requests. When a Pixeldrain API key is configured, processing a crafted URL from an attacker-controlled lookalike host causes cyberdrop_dl/crawlers/pixeldrain.py to send the Authorization header to that host. The URL may be introduced through a third-party site that can cause downloads for other sites, and the attacker receives the user's Pixeldrain API key. This issue is fixed in version 9.14.0.

Sep 14, 2026blaze is a Scala library for building asynchronous pipelines, with a focus on network IO.CVE-2026-73494 · Other software · http4s · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
blaze is a Scala library for building asynchronous pipelines, with a focus on network IO. Prior to 0.23.18 and from 1.0.0-M1 until 1.0.0-M42, five HTTP/1.1 conformance laxities in the hand-written Java parser under http/src/main/java/org/http4s/blaze/http/parser/ can cause blaze to derive a different request boundary than a stricter fronting intermediary. A default BlazeServerBuilder accepts invalid or valueless header field names that violate tchar syntax, obsolete folded field lines (obs-fold), unsupported Transfer-Encoding values, duplicate Content-Length fields, and requests containing both Transfer-Encoding and Content-Length. If a lenient or legacy proxy forwards the malformed bytes but interprets them differently, the disagreement can permit front-end authorization bypass, response-queue poisoning on pooled backend connections, or cache poisoning. Exploitation requires a pair of disagreeing parsers; no non-default blaze configuration is required. The affected checks are enforced in BodyAndHeaderParser and Http1ServerParser. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.18 and 1.0.0-M42.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: Reset write verifier when async COPY writeback fails Async COPY captures nn->writeverf at request time and reports it to the client via CB_OFFLOAD after the worker kthread completes. When the post-copy vfs_fsync_range() or filemap_check_wb_err() in _nfsd_copy_file_range() reports an error, the worker correctly leaves NFSD4_COPY_F_COMMITTED clear so that CB_OFFLOAD encodes wr_stable_how as NFS_UNSTABLE, but the server's write verifier is not rotated. A client that receives NFS_UNSTABLE in CB_OFFLOAD follows up with COMMIT to make the copied data durable. With the verifier unchanged, COMMIT returns the same value the client just received via CB_OFFLOAD, and the client concludes the copy is durable -- silently dropping the data whose writeback in fact failed. This violates the UNSTABLE+COMMIT durability contract (RFC 7862 section 15.1, RFC 8881 section 18.32) and matches the bug just fixed in nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd_commit(). Rotate nn->writeverf at the writeback-failure site. The async COPY worker has no svc_rqst, so commit_reset_write_verifier() is not available here; calling nfsd_reset_write_verifier()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: sample writeback error cursor before async COPY loop _nfsd_copy_file_range() samples dst->f_wb_err into "since" after the copy loop, then uses it to detect writeback errors via filemap_check_wb_err() once vfs_fsync_range() returns. Because the nfsd_file cache reuses a single struct file across requests targeting the same inode, a concurrent COMMIT or stable WRITE on dst advances dst->f_wb_err to the current mapping->wb_err via file_check_and_advance_wb_err() during its own vfs_fsync_range(). If that advancement lands between the writeback error appearing in mapping->wb_err and the COPY worker sampling "since", the worker captures the already-advanced cursor, errseq_check() sees cur == since and returns zero, and NFSD4_COPY_F_COMMITTED is set even though writeback failed. CB_OFFLOAD then encodes wr_stable_how = FILE_SYNC4, the client treats the copied data as durable, and the failure becomes silent data loss. Sample since once at the start of the function. The cursor then reflects state in effect before this COPY issues any writes, and filemap_check_wb_err() detects any error that occurs during the copy reg

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix stale s2s_cp_stateids IDR entry for async COPY For an async COPY, nfsd4_copy() called nfs4_init_copy_state() before dup_copy_fields(), so the s2s_cp_stateids IDR was pointed at &u->copy->cp_stateid -- memory in the per-rqstp COMPOUND buffer that is reused by the next request. dup_copy_fields() copies only the value into async_copy, so the IDR slot dangled at the transient buffer for the whole background copy. Any IDR walker then dereferences reused request memory: the laundromat reads cs_type from it and, if the bytes look like an expired NFS4_COPYNOTIFY_STID, follows into refcount_dec()/idr_remove()/kfree() on garbage; manage_cpntf_state() has the same exposure via idr_find(). Duplicate the fields first, then register the stateid on the stable async_copy. result->cb_stateid is unchanged.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: staging/ipu7: fix async notifier UAF on probe error path isys_register_devices() registers the V4L2 async notifier via isys_notifier_init(). If a subsequent probe step such as isys_fw_log_init() fails, isys_probe() jumps to the out_cleanup label which only calls isys_unregister_devices(). That helper tears down the video devices, subdevices, V4L2 device and media device, but never unregisters or cleans up the async notifier. As a result the notifier stays chained in the global notifier_list while the enclosing struct ipu7_isys is freed by devres, leading to list corruption and a use-after-free the next time the list is walked. The remove path already does the right thing by calling isys_notifier_cleanup() before isys_unregister_devices(). Mirror that on the probe error path so the notifier is unregistered and cleaned up before the device is torn down.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/tls: Fail tls_sw_splice_read() after a failed async decrypt When an async decrypt fails, tls_decrypt_done() records the error in ctx->async_wait.err and calls tls_err_abort(), which stores it in sk_err. tls_sw_recvmsg() and tls_sw_read_sock() each read async_wait.err once they hold the reader lock and fail the call: a record that did not authenticate breaks the connection. tls_sw_splice_read() has no such check, and sk_err does not stand in for one. tls_rx_rec_wait() tests sk_err only inside the loop it skips whenever a record is already parsed, and the first reader to reach sock_error() clears it, while async_wait.err persists. A splice therefore keeps delivering records on a connection that recvmsg() and read_sock() refuse to read. Read async_wait.err in tls_sw_splice_read() as the other two readers do.

Later device removal tears down the TAS2781 private data, including codec_lock. If the async firmware callback runs after unbind has started, it can operate on state that is being torn down. Cancel or synchronize the async firmware request before removing controls and DSP state. A queued callback is cancelled, and an already-running callback is allowed to finish before unbind continues.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cmd: fix iovec leak when the async cmd is not recycled An io_async_cmd carries an iovec array in ->vec.iovec, allocated when the vec has to grow and kept across recycling through ctx->cmd_cache. On two paths nothing frees it and io_clean_op()'s kfree(req->async_data) drops the io_async_cmd without it. io_req_uring_cleanup() clears the async data flags only when io_alloc_cache_put() succeeds, and the cache holds IO_ALLOC_CACHE_MAX == 128 entries, so once it is full the put fails and the vec is left behind. An NVMe passthrough workload gets there without doing anything unusual: nvme_uring_cmd_io() returns -EIOCBQUEUED, so the io_async_cmd stays attached for the lifetime of the command and the live object count tracks the queue depth. Above 128 the puts start failing. ->cleanup is the last chance to free an inherited vec, since io_req_uring_cleanup() returns early for an io-wq issued command and is not called at all for one completed without ever being issued. But io_clean_op() calls ->cleanup only if REQ_F_NEED_CLEANUP is set, and for uring_cmd that happens only where the vec has to grow, so a command

fastify versions before 5.12.2 treat the object resolved by a successful Ajv async validator as the value result protocol used by custom validator compilers. If a request that passes its route schema contains a property named value at the root, fastify replaces the entire request body with that property's value before the handler runs, so the handler receives a different object than the one that satisfied the schema. An authenticated low-privilege caller can use this to make nested data replace the validated body and trigger an operation the route schema did not authorize, leading to unauthorized state changes and data disclosure. Sep 2, 2026async-tar is a tar archive reading/writing library for async Rust.CVE-2026-53600 · Other software · dignifiedquire · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
async-tar is a tar archive reading/writing library for async Rust. Prior to version 0.6.1, async-tar mis-applies a buffered PAX size extension to an intermediary extension header (a GNU longname L, a GNU longlink K, or a PAX x/g header) instead of to the next file entry. POSIX requires a PAX extended-header record set to describe the next file entry, never an intervening extension header. Because poll_next_raw (src/archive.rs) threads the buffered PAX records into the size computation of whatever raw header it reads next — and that header can be an intermediary L — the stream cursor is advanced by an attacker-chosen amount when the L body is consumed. The parser then desyncs relative to a POSIX-correct tar parser (e.g. GNU tar), reading subsequent bytes at the wrong block boundary. This issue has been patched in version 0.6.1.

Sep 2, 2026Description NGINX JavaScript (njs) and QuickJS (qjs) engines have a vulnerability when a js_access handler performs asynchronous request body processing and anCVE-2026-18329 · Network & remote access · F5 · reported by f5sirt@f5.comHigh 8.8
Description NGINX JavaScript (njs) and QuickJS (qjs) engines have a vulnerability when a js_access handler performs asynchronous request body processing and an exception is thrown during asynchronous access-control evaluation before an explicit access denial is returned. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request that triggers an error condition in the access validation logic. This may cause the js_access phase to fail open, allowing the request to proceed instead of being denied, resulting in an authentication or authorization bypass and unauthorized access to protected resources. Impact This vulnerability may allow remote attackers to bypass js_access controls. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

Sep 1, 2026Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in ash-project ash lets a slow asynchronous read spin a scheduler thread at full CPU while the framework waits fCVE-2026-82743 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1
Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in ash-project ash lets a slow asynchronous read spin a scheduler thread at full CPU while the framework waits for it. Ash.Actions.Read.AsyncLimiter.await_at_least_one/1 (lib/ash/actions/read/async_limiter.ex) waited for concurrent async read tasks by polling each with Task.yield(task, 0) in a tight loop rather than blocking. While every outstanding task is still running (a slow related-data load or calculation), the loop returns immediately and repeats, busy-spinning and holding a BEAM scheduler at full CPU for the whole duration of the slow read; concurrent slow reads tie up further schedulers. The fix waits with Task.yield_many (a non-blocking sweep followed by a blocking wait with timeout: :infinity), so the process sleeps until a task completes instead of spinning. This issue affects ash: from 2.19.0 before 3.32.2.

Aug 24, 2026Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework.CVE-2026-76816 · Other software · netty · reported by GitHubLow 3.5
Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to versions 4.1.137.Final and 4.2.17.Final, MqttEncoder does not validate client identifiers, will topics, usernames, and PUBLISH topic names before encoding, allowing prohibited null bytes in MQTT UTF-8 string fields and potentially causing routing, access-control, or identity mismatches in downstream brokers. The vulnerability is exploitable when an application uses Netty's MQTT encoder to construct messages from user-controlled input. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.137.Final and 4.2.17.Final.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
