Jul 9, 2026Zeek before 8.0.9 contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability in its Kerberos protocol analyzer that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to crash the CVE-2026-60109 · Other software · zeek · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
Zeek before 8.0.9 contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability in its Kerberos protocol analyzer that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to crash the sensor by sending a crafted KRB_ERROR message with error-code 25 (KDC_ERR_PREAUTH_REQUIRED) containing a PA-DATA element with padata-type 2, 3, 11, or 19. Attackers can exploit a parser and analyzer state mismatch where proc_padata() dereferences an uninitialized pa_data_element field selected by the wrong parsing arm, triggering a crash via a single UDP or TCP packet to port 88 without any credentials or prior authentication.

Zeek before 8.0.9 contains an uncontrolled memory consumption vulnerability in the FTP analyzer that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to cause process termination by sending a crafted FTP control session negotiating AUTH GSSAPI followed by a large ADAT control line. Attackers can exploit the NVT_Analyzer component's lack of a maximum line length check, causing it to continuously double its internal buffer without bounds during base64 decoding of an attacker-controlled ADAT token, resulting in denial of service of the Zeek sensor.

Feb 27, 2026PMD is an extensible multilanguage static code analyzer.CVE-2026-28338 · Other software · pmd · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8
PMD is an extensible multilanguage static code analyzer. Prior to version 7.22.0, PMD's `vbhtml` and `yahtml` report formats insert rule violation messages into HTML output without escaping. When PMD analyzes untrusted source code containing crafted string literals, the generated HTML report contains executable JavaScript that runs when opened in a browser. Practical impact is limited because `vbhtml` and `yahtml` are legacy formats rarely used in practice. The default `html` format is properly escaped and not affected. Version 7.22.0 contains a fix for the issue.

Fickling is a Python pickling decompiler and static analyzer. Prior to version 0.1.7, the unsafe_imports() method in Fickling's static analyzer fails to flag several high-risk Python modules that can be used for arbitrary code execution. Jan 9, 2026Fickling is a Python pickling decompiler and static analyzer.CVE-2026-22607 · Other software · trailofbits · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9
Fickling is a Python pickling decompiler and static analyzer. Fickling versions up to and including 0.1.6 do not treat Python's cProfile module as unsafe. Because of this, a malicious pickle that uses cProfile.run() is classified as SUSPICIOUS instead of OVERTLY_MALICIOUS. If a user relies on Fickling's output to decide whether a pickle is safe to deserialize, this misclassification can lead them to execute attacker-controlled code on their system. This affects any workflow or product that uses Fickling as a security gate for pickle deserialization. This issue has been patched in version 0.1.7.

Dec 15, 2025Fickling is a Python pickling decompiler and static analyzer.CVE-2025-67748 · Other software · trailofbits · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
Fickling is a Python pickling decompiler and static analyzer. Versions prior to 0.1.6 had a bypass caused by `pty` missing from the block list of unsafe module imports. This led to unsafe pickles based on `pty.spawn()` being incorrectly flagged as `LIKELY_SAFE`, and was fixed in version 0.1.6. This impacted any user or system that used Fickling to vet pickle files for security issues.

Dec 15, 2025Fickling is a Python pickling decompiler and static analyzer.CVE-2025-67747 · Other software · trailofbits · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
Fickling is a Python pickling decompiler and static analyzer. Versions prior to 0.1.6 are missing `marshal` and `types` from the block list of unsafe module imports. Fickling started blocking both modules to address this issue. This allows an attacker to craft a malicious pickle file that can bypass fickling since it misses detections for `types.FunctionType` and `marshal.loads`. A user who deserializes such a file, believing it to be safe, would inadvertently execute arbitrary code on their system. This impacts any user or system that uses Fickling to vet pickle files for security issues. The issue was fixed in version 0.1.6.
