Dec 30, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stream: purge sk_error_queue in sk_stream_kill_queues() Changheon Lee reported TCP soCVE-2022-50838 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stream: purge sk_error_queue in sk_stream_kill_queues() Changheon Lee reported TCP socket leaks, with a nice repro. It seems we leak TCP sockets with the following sequence: 1) SOF_TIMESTAMPING_TX_ACK is enabled on the socket. Each ACK will cook an skb put in error queue, from __skb_tstamp_tx(). __skb_tstamp_tx() is using skb_clone(), unless SOF_TIMESTAMPING_OPT_TSONLY was also requested. 2) If the application is also using MSG_ZEROCOPY, then we put in the error queue cloned skbs that had a struct ubuf_info attached to them. Whenever an struct ubuf_info is allocated, sock_zerocopy_alloc() does a sock_hold(). As long as the cloned skbs are still in sk_error_queue, socket refcount is kept elevated. 3) Application closes the socket, while error queue is not empty. Since tcp_close() no longer purges the socket error queue, we might end up with a TCP socket with at least one skb in error queue keeping the socket alive forever. This bug can be (ab)used to consume all kernel memory and freeze the host. We need to purge the error queue, with proper synchronization against concurrent

Dec 30, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: use hdev->workqueue when queuing hdev->{cmd,ncmd}_timer works syzbot is reportiCVE-2022-50833 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: use hdev->workqueue when queuing hdev->{cmd,ncmd}_timer works syzbot is reporting attempt to schedule hdev->cmd_work work from system_wq WQ into hdev->workqueue WQ which is under draining operation [1], for commit c8efcc2589464ac7 ("workqueue: allow chained queueing during destruction") does not allow such operation. The check introduced by commit 877afadad2dce8aa ("Bluetooth: When HCI work queue is drained, only queue chained work") was incomplete. Use hdev->workqueue WQ when queuing hdev->{cmd,ncmd}_timer works because hci_{cmd,ncmd}_timeout() calls queue_work(hdev->workqueue). Also, protect the queuing operation with RCU read lock in order to avoid calling queue_delayed_work() after cancel_delayed_work() completed.

Dec 30, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: Fix use-after-free in ath9k_hif_usb_reg_in_cb() It is possible that CVE-2022-50829 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: Fix use-after-free in ath9k_hif_usb_reg_in_cb() It is possible that skb is freed in ath9k_htc_rx_msg(), then usb_submit_urb() fails and we try to free skb again. It causes use-after-free bug. Moreover, if alloc_skb() fails, urb->context becomes NULL but rx_buf is not freed and there can be a memory leak. The patch removes unnecessary nskb and makes skb processing more clear: it is supposed that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() either frees old skb or passes its managing to another callback function. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix memory leak in lpfc_create_port() Commit 5e633302ace1 ("scsi: lpfc: vmid: Add support for VMID in mailbox command") introduced allocations for the VMID resources in lpfc_create_port() after the call to scsi_host_alloc(). Upon failure on the VMID allocations, the new code would branch to the 'out' label, which returns NULL without unwinding anything, thus skipping the call to scsi_host_put(). Fix the problem by creating a separate label 'out_free_vmid' to unwind the VMID resources and make the 'out_put_shost' label call only scsi_host_put(), as was done before the introduction of allocations for VMID.

Dec 30, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipu3-imgu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in imgu_subdev_set_selection() Calling v4l2_subdevCVE-2022-50826 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipu3-imgu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in imgu_subdev_set_selection() Calling v4l2_subdev_get_try_crop() and v4l2_subdev_get_try_compose() with a subdev state of NULL leads to a NULL pointer dereference. This can currently happen in imgu_subdev_set_selection() when the state passed in is NULL, as this method first gets pointers to both the "try" and "active" states and only then decides which to use. The same issue has been addressed for imgu_subdev_get_selection() with commit 30d03a0de650 ("ipu3-imgu: Fix NULL pointer dereference in active selection access"). However the issue still persists in imgu_subdev_set_selection(). Therefore, apply a similar fix as done in the aforementioned commit to imgu_subdev_set_selection(). To keep things a bit cleaner, introduce helper functions for "crop" and "compose" access and use them in both imgu_subdev_set_selection() and imgu_subdev_get_selection().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: ensure sane device mtu in tunnels Another syzbot report [1] with no reproducer hints at a bug in ip6_gre tunnel (dev:ip6gretap0) Since ipv6 mcast code makes sure to read dev->mtu once and applies a sanity check on it (see commit b9b312a7a451 "ipv6: mcast: better catch silly mtu values"), a remaining possibility is that a layer is able to set dev->mtu to an underflowed value (high order bit set). This could happen indeed in ip6gre_tnl_link_config_route(), ip6_tnl_link_config() and ipip6_tunnel_bind_dev() Make sure to sanitize mtu value in a local variable before it is written once on dev->mtu, as lockless readers could catch wrong temporary value. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: potential integer overflow in usbg_make_tpg() The variable tpgt in usbg_make_tpg() is defined as unsigned long and is assigned to tpgt->tport_tpgt, which is defined as u16. This may cause an integer overflow when tpgt is greater than USHRT_MAX (65535). I haven't tried to trigger it myself, but it is possible to trigger it by calling usbg_make_tpg() with a large value for tpgt. I modified the type of tpgt to match tpgt->tport_tpgt and adjusted the relevant code accordingly. This patch is similar to commit 59c816c1f24d ("vhost/scsi: potential memory corruption").

Then file_priv_unbind() triggers a warning in drm_mm_takedown() during context teardown. Protect the unmapping sequence with bo_list_lock to ensure the BO is always fully unmapped when removed from the list. This ensures the BO is either fully unmapped at context teardown time or present on the list and unmapped by file_priv_unbind().

Proceed with the rest of the cleanup instead of bailing out and leaving the va_node inserted in the drm_mm, which leads to UAF when other adjacent nodes are removed from the drm_mm tree.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: tegra210-quad: Fix timeout handling When the CPU that the QSPI interrupt handler runs on (typically CPU 0) is excessively busy, it can lead to rare cases of the IRQ thread not running before the transfer timeout is reached. While handling the timeouts, any pending transfers are cleaned up and the message that they correspond to is marked as failed, which leaves the curr_xfer field pointing at stale memory. To avoid this, clear curr_xfer to NULL upon timeout and check for this condition when the IRQ thread is finally run. While at it, also make sure to clear interrupts on failure so that new interrupts can be run. A better, more involved, fix would move the interrupt clearing into a hard IRQ handler. Ideally we would also want to signal that the IRQ thread no longer needs to be run after the timeout is hit to avoid the extra check for a valid transfer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Clear cmds after chip reset Commit aefed3e5548f ("scsi: qla2xxx: target: Fix offline port handling and host reset handling") caused two problems: 1. Commands sent to FW, after chip reset got stuck and never freed as FW is not going to respond to them anymore. 2. BUG_ON(cmd->sg_mapped) in qlt_free_cmd(). Commit 26f9ce53817a ("scsi: qla2xxx: Fix missed DMA unmap for aborted commands") attempted to fix this, but introduced another bug under different circumstances when two different CPUs were racing to call qlt_unmap_sg() at the same time: BUG_ON(!valid_dma_direction(dir)) in dma_unmap_sg_attrs(). So revert "scsi: qla2xxx: Fix missed DMA unmap for aborted commands" and partially revert "scsi: qla2xxx: target: Fix offline port handling and host reset handling" at __qla2x00_abort_all_cmds.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix invalid prog->stats access when update_effective_progs fails Syzkaller triggers an invalid memory access issue following fault injection in update_effective_progs. The issue can be described as follows: __cgroup_bpf_detach update_effective_progs compute_effective_progs bpf_prog_array_alloc <-- fault inject purge_effective_progs /* change to dummy_bpf_prog */ array->items[index] = &dummy_bpf_prog.prog ---softirq start--- __do_softirq ... __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_skb __bpf_prog_run_save_cb bpf_prog_run stats = this_cpu_ptr(prog->stats) /* invalid memory access */ flags = u64_stats_update_begin_irqsave(&stats->syncp) ---softirq end--- static_branch_dec(&cgroup_bpf_enabled_key[atype]) The reason is that fault injection caused update_effective_progs to fail and then changed the original prog into dummy_bpf_prog.prog in purge_effective_progs. Then a softirq came, and accessing the members of dummy_bpf_prog.prog in the softirq triggers invalid mem access. To fix it, skip updating stats when stats is NULL.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Fix improper freeing of purex item In qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb(), an item is allocated via qla27xx_copy_multiple_pkt(), which internally calls qla24xx_alloc_purex_item(). The qla24xx_alloc_purex_item() function may return a pre-allocated item from a per-adapter pool for small allocations, instead of dynamically allocating memory with kzalloc(). An error handling path in qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb() incorrectly uses kfree() to release the item. If the item was from the pre-allocated pool, calling kfree() on it is a bug that can lead to memory corruption. Fix this by using the correct deallocation function, qla24xx_free_purex_item(), which properly handles both dynamically allocated and pre-allocated items.

Dec 24, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: Handle error code returned by ima_filter_rule_match() In ima_match_rules(), if ima_fiCVE-2025-68740 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: Handle error code returned by ima_filter_rule_match() In ima_match_rules(), if ima_filter_rule_match() returns -ENOENT due to the rule being NULL, the function incorrectly skips the 'if (!rc)' check and sets 'result = true'. The LSM rule is considered a match, causing extra files to be measured by IMA. This issue can be reproduced in the following scenario: After unloading the SELinux policy module via 'semodule -d', if an IMA measurement is triggered before ima_lsm_rules is updated, in ima_match_rules(), the first call to ima_filter_rule_match() returns -ESTALE. This causes the code to enter the 'if (rc == -ESTALE && !rule_reinitialized)' block, perform ima_lsm_copy_rule() and retry. In ima_lsm_copy_rule(), since the SELinux module has been removed, the rule becomes NULL, and the second call to ima_filter_rule_match() returns -ENOENT. This bypasses the 'if (!rc)' check and results in a false match. Dec 24, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64/pageattr: Propagate return value from __change_memory_common The rodata=on security CVE-2025-68737 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64/pageattr: Propagate return value from __change_memory_common The rodata=on security measure requires that any code path which does vmalloc -> set_memory_ro/set_memory_rox must protect the linear map alias too. Therefore, if such a call fails, we must abort set_memory_* and caller must take appropriate action; currently we are suppressing the error, and there is a real chance of such an error arising post commit a166563e7ec3 ("arm64: mm: support large block mapping when rodata=full"). Therefore, propagate any error to the caller.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
