In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: team: fix header_ops type confusion with non-Ethernet ports Similar to commit 950803f72547 ("bonding: fix type confusion in bond_setup_by_slave()") team has the same class of header_ops type confusion. For non-Ethernet ports, team_setup_by_port() copies port_dev->header_ops directly. When the team device later calls dev_hard_header() or dev_parse_header(), these callbacks can run with the team net_device instead of the real lower device, so netdev_priv(dev) is interpreted as the wrong private type and can crash. The syzbot report shows a crash in bond_header_create(), but the root cause is in team: the topology is gre -> bond -> team, and team calls the inherited header_ops with its own net_device instead of the lower device, so bond_header_create() receives a team device and interprets netdev_priv() as bonding private data, causing a type confusion crash. Fix this by introducing team header_ops wrappers for create/parse, selecting a team port under RCU, and calling the lower device callbacks with port->dev, so each callback always sees the correct net_device context. Also pass the selected lower device to th

  • Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Do not skip unrelated mode changes in DSC validation Starting with commitCVE-2026-31488 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Do not skip unrelated mode changes in DSC validation Starting with commit 17ce8a6907f7 ("drm/amd/display: Add dsc pre-validation in atomic check"), amdgpu resets the CRTC state mode_changed flag to false when recomputing the DSC configuration results in no timing change for a particular stream. However, this is incorrect in scenarios where a change in MST/DSC configuration happens in the same KMS commit as another (unrelated) mode change. For example, the integrated panel of a laptop may be configured differently (e.g., HDR enabled/disabled) depending on whether external screens are attached. In this case, plugging in external DP-MST screens may result in the mode_changed flag being dropped incorrectly for the integrated panel if its DSC configuration did not change during precomputation in pre_validate_dsc(). At this point, however, dm_update_crtc_state() has already created new streams for CRTCs with DSC-independent mode changes. In turn, amdgpu_dm_commit_streams() will never release the old stream, resulting in a memory leak. amdgpu_dm_atomic_commit_tail() will never acquire a reference to t

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/entry: Scrub r12 register on kernel entry Before commit f33f2d4c7c80 ("s390/bp: remove TIF_ISOLATE_BP"), all entry handlers loaded r12 with the current task pointer (lg %r12,__LC_CURRENT) for use by the BPENTER/BPEXIT macros. That commit removed TIF_ISOLATE_BP, dropping both the branch prediction macros and the r12 load, but did not add r12 to the register clearing sequence. Add the missing xgr %r12,%r12 to make the register scrub consistent across all entry points.

  • Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iomap: fix invalid folio access when i_blkbits differs from I/O granularity Commit aa35dd5CVE-2026-31463 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iomap: fix invalid folio access when i_blkbits differs from I/O granularity Commit aa35dd5cbc06 ("iomap: fix invalid folio access after folio_end_read()") partially addressed invalid folio access for folios without an ifs attached, but it did not handle the case where 1 << inode->i_blkbits matches the folio size but is different from the granularity used for the IO, which means IO can be submitted for less than the full folio for the !ifs case. In this case, the condition: if (*bytes_submitted == folio_len) ctx->cur_folio = NULL; in iomap_read_folio_iter() will not invalidate ctx->cur_folio, and iomap_read_end() will still be called on the folio even though the IO helper owns it and will finish the read on it. Fix this by unconditionally invalidating ctx->cur_folio for the !ifs case.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix use-after-free in update_super_work when racing with umount Commit b98535d09179 ("ext4: fix bug_on in start_this_handle during umount filesystem") moved ext4_unregister_sysfs() before flushing s_sb_upd_work to prevent new error work from being queued via /proc/fs/ext4/xx/mb_groups reads during unmount. • Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/core: avoid use of half-online-committed context One major usage of damon_call() CVE-2026-31445 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/core: avoid use of half-online-committed context One major usage of damon_call() is online DAMON parameters update. It is done by calling damon_commit_ctx() inside the damon_call() callback function. damon_commit_ctx() can fail for two reasons: 1) invalid parameters and 2) internal memory allocation failures. In case of failures, the damon_ctx that attempted to be updated (commit destination) can be partially updated (or, corrupted from a perspective), and therefore shouldn't be used anymore. The function only ensures the damon_ctx object can safely deallocated using damon_destroy_ctx(). The API callers are, however, calling damon_commit_ctx() only after asserting the parameters are valid, to avoid damon_commit_ctx() fails due to invalid input parameters. But it can still theoretically fail if the internal memory allocation fails. In the case, DAMON may run with the partially updated damon_ctx. This can result in unexpected behaviors including even NULL pointer dereference in case of damos_commit_dests() failure [1]. Such allocation failure is arguably too small to fail, so the real world impact

XiangShan (open-source high-performance RISC-V processor) commit edb1dfaf7d290ae99724594507dc46c2c2125384 (2024-11-28) has improper gating of its distributed CSR write-enable path, allowing illegal CSR write attempts to alter custom PMA (Physical Memory Attribute) CSR state. Though the RISC-V privileged specification requires an illegal-instruction exception for non-existent/illegal CSR accesses, affected XiangShan versions may still propagate such writes to replicated PMA configuration state. Local attackers able to execute code on the core (privilege context depends on system integration) can exploit this to tamper with memory-attribute enforcement, potentially leading to privilege escalation, information disclosure, or denial of service depending on how PMA enforces platform security and isolation boundaries.

XiangShan (Open-source high-performance RISC-V processor) commit edb1dfaf7d290ae99724594507dc46c2c2125384 (2024-11-28) contains an improper exceptional-condition handling flaw in its CSR subsystem (NewCSR). On affected versions, certain sequences of CSR operations targeting non-existent/custom CSR addresses may trigger an illegal-instruction exception but fail to reliably transfer control to the configured trap handler (mtvec), causing control-flow disruption and potentially leaving the core in a hung or unrecoverable state. This can be exploited by a local attacker able to execute code on the processor to cause a denial of service and potentially inconsistent architectural state.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix use-after-free in l2cap_unregister_user After commit ab4eedb790ca ("Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix corrupted list in hci_chan_del"), l2cap_conn_del() uses conn->lock to protect access to conn->users. However, l2cap_register_user() and l2cap_unregister_user() don't use conn->lock, creating a race condition where these functions can access conn->users and conn->hchan concurrently with l2cap_conn_del(). This can lead to use-after-free and list corruption bugs, as reported by syzbot. Fix this by changing l2cap_register_user() and l2cap_unregister_user() to use conn->lock instead of hci_dev_lock(), ensuring consistent locking for the l2cap_conn structure.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip_tunnel: adapt iptunnel_xmit_stats() to NETDEV_PCPU_STAT_DSTATS Blamed commits forgot that vxlan/geneve use udp_tunnel[6]_xmit_skb() which call iptunnel_xmit_stats(). iptunnel_xmit_stats() was assuming tunnels were only using NETDEV_PCPU_STAT_TSTATS. @syncp offset in pcpu_sw_netstats and pcpu_dstats is different. 32bit kernels would either have corruptions or freezes if the syncp sequence was overwritten. This patch also moves pcpu_stat_type closer to dev->{t,d}stats to avoid a potential cache line miss since iptunnel_xmit_stats() needs to read it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dpaa2-switch: Fix interrupt storm after receiving bad if_id in IRQ handler Commit 31a7a0bbeb00 ("dpaa2-switch: add bounds check for if_id in IRQ handler") introduces a range check for if_id to avoid an out-of-bounds access. If an out-of-bounds if_id is detected, the interrupt status is not cleared. This may result in an interrupt storm. Clear the interrupt status after detecting an out-of-bounds if_id to avoid the problem. Found by an experimental AI code review agent at Google.

The affected Streamlit-based GitHub MCP Agent stores user-supplied API tokens in process-wide environment variables using os.environ without proper session isolation. Because Streamlit serves multiple concurrent users from a single Python process, credentials provided by one user remain accessible to subsequent unauthenticated users. An attacker can exploit this issue to retrieve sensitive information such as GitHub Personal Access Tokens or LLM API keys, potentially leading to unauthorized access to private resources and financial abuse.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: i801: Revert "i2c: i801: replace acpi_lock with I2C bus lock" This reverts commit f707d6b9e7c18f669adfdb443906d46cfbaaa0c1. Under rare circumstances, multiple udev threads can collect i801 device info on boot and walk i801_acpi_io_handler somewhat concurrently. The first will note the area is reserved by acpi to prevent further touches. This ultimately causes the area to be deregistered. The second will enter i801_acpi_io_handler after the area is unregistered but before a check can be made that the area is unregistered. i2c_lock_bus relies on the now unregistered area containing lock_ops to lock the bus. The end result is a kernel panic on boot with the following backtrace; [ 14.971872] ioatdma 0000:09:00.2: enabling device (0100 -> 0102) [ 14.971873] BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 [ 14.971880] #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode [ 14.971884] #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page [ 14.971887] PGD 0 P4D 0 [ 14.971894] Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP PTI [ 14.971900] CPU: 5 PID: 956 Comm: systemd-udevd Not tainted 5.14.0-611.5.1.el9_7.x86_64 #1 [ 14.9

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: fix locking for bcm_op runtime updates Commit c2aba69d0c36 ("can: bcm: add locking for bcm_op runtime updates") added a locking for some variables that can be modified at runtime when updating the sending bcm_op with a new TX_SETUP command in bcm_tx_setup(). Usually the RX_SETUP only handles and filters incoming traffic with one exception: When the RX_RTR_FRAME flag is set a predefined CAN frame is sent when a specific RTR frame is received. Therefore the rx bcm_op uses bcm_can_tx() which uses the bcm_tx_lock that was only initialized in bcm_tx_setup(). Add the missing spin_lock_init() when allocating the bcm_op in bcm_rx_setup() to handle the RTR case properly.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: Fix fragment node deletion to prevent buffer leak After commit b692bf9a7543 ("xsk: Get rid of xdp_buff_xsk::xskb_list_node"), the list_node field is reused for both the xskb pool list and the buffer free list, this causes a buffer leak as described below. xp_free() checks if a buffer is already on the free list using list_empty(&xskb->list_node). When list_del() is used to remove a node from the xskb pool list, it doesn't reinitialize the node pointers. This means list_empty() will return false even after the node has been removed, causing xp_free() to incorrectly skip adding the buffer to the free list. Fix this by using list_del_init() instead of list_del() in all fragment handling paths, this ensures the list node is reinitialized after removal, allowing the list_empty() to work correctly.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: pm8001: Fix use-after-free in pm8001_queue_command() Commit e29c47fe8946 ("scsi: pm8001: Simplify pm8001_task_exec()") refactors pm8001_queue_command(), however it introduces a potential cause of a double free scenario when it changes the function to return -ENODEV in case of phy down/device gone state. In this path, pm8001_queue_command() updates task status and calls task_done to indicate to upper layer that the task has been handled. However, this also frees the underlying SAS task. A -ENODEV is then returned to the caller. When libsas sas_ata_qc_issue() receives this error value, it assumes the task wasn't handled/queued by LLDD and proceeds to clean up and free the task again, resulting in a double free. Since pm8001_queue_command() handles the SAS task in this case, it should return 0 to the caller indicating that the task has been handled.
