In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Add null pointer check in mod_hdcp_hdcp1_create_session() The function mod_hdcp_hdcp1_create_session() calls the function get_first_active_display(), but does not check its return value. The return value is a null pointer if the display list is empty. This will lead to a null pointer dereference. Add a null pointer check for get_first_active_display() and return MOD_HDCP_STATUS_DISPLAY_NOT_FOUND if the function return null. This is similar to the commit c3e9826a2202 ("drm/amd/display: Add null pointer check for get_first_active_display()"). (cherry picked from commit 5e43eb3cd731649c4f8b9134f857be62a416c893)

Sep 3, 2025SummaryA Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of another user’s session.CVE-2025-9823 · Other software · Mautic · reported by security@mautic.orgMedium 4.8
SummaryA Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of another user’s session. This occurs because user-supplied input is reflected back in the server’s response without proper sanitization or escaping, potentially enabling malicious actions such as session hijacking, credential theft, or unauthorized actions in the application. DetailsThe vulnerability resides in the “Tags” input field on the /s/ajax?action=lead:addLeadTags endpoint. Although the server applies sanitization before storing the data or returning it later, the payload is executed immediately in the victim’s browser upon reflection, allowing an attacker to run arbitrary JavaScript in the user’s session. ImpactA Reflected XSS attack can have a significant impact, allowing attackers to steal sensitive user data like cookies, redirect users to malicious websites, manipulate the web page content, and essentially take control of a user's session within an application by executing malicious JavaScript code within the victim's browser, even if the server-side code is secure; essentially enabling them to perform actions as if they were the logged-in user. Aug 29, 2025A Session Fixation vulnerability existed in Payload's SQLite adapter due to identifier reuse during account creation.CVE-2025-4644 · Other software · Payload CMS · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 5.3
A Session Fixation vulnerability existed in Payload's SQLite adapter due to identifier reuse during account creation. A malicious attacker could create a new account, save its JSON Web Token (JWT), and then delete the account, which did not invalidate the JWT. As a result, the next newly created user would receive the same identifier, allowing the attacker to reuse the JWT to authenticate and perform actions as that user. This issue has been fixed in version 3.44.0 of Payload.

Catalyst::Plugin::Session before version 0.44 for Perl generates session ids insecurely. The session id is generated from a (usually SHA-1) hash of a simple counter, the epoch time, the built-in rand function, the PID and the current Catalyst context. This information is of low entropy. The PID will come from a small set of numbers, and the epoch time may be guessed, if it is not leaked from the HTTP Date header. The built-in rand function is unsuitable for cryptographic usage. Jul 10, 2025In some mod_ssl configurations on Apache HTTP Server 2.4.35 through to 2.4.63, an access control bypass by trusted clients is possible using TLS 1.3 session resCVE-2025-23048 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.1
In some mod_ssl configurations on Apache HTTP Server 2.4.35 through to 2.4.63, an access control bypass by trusted clients is possible using TLS 1.3 session resumption. Configurations are affected when mod_ssl is configured for multiple virtual hosts, with each restricted to a different set of trusted client certificates (for example with a different SSLCACertificateFile/Path setting). In such a case, a client trusted to access one virtual host may be able to access another virtual host, if SSLStrictSNIVHostCheck is not enabled in either virtual host.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in destroy_previous_session If client set ->PreviousSessionId on kerberos session setup stage, NULL pointer dereference error will happen. Since sess->user is not set yet, It can pass the user argument as NULL to destroy_previous_session. sess->user will be set in ksmbd_krb5_authenticate(). So this patch move calling destroy_previous_session() after ksmbd_krb5_authenticate().

Jul 2, 2025A vulnerability in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Session Management Edition (Unified CM SME) could CVE-2025-20309 · Network & remote access · Cisco · reported by psirt@cisco.comCritical 10
A vulnerability in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) and Cisco Unified Communications Manager Session Management Edition (Unified CM SME) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to log in to an affected device using the root account, which has default, static credentials that cannot be changed or deleted. This vulnerability is due to the presence of static user credentials for the root account that are reserved for use during development. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by using the account to log in to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to log in to the affected system and execute arbitrary commands as the root user.

Jun 27, 2025IBM Datacap 9.1.7, 9.1.8, and 9.1.9 does not set the secure attribute on authorization tokens or session cookies.CVE-2025-36026 · Other software · IBM · reported by psirt@us.ibm.comMedium 4.3
IBM Datacap 9.1.7, 9.1.8, and 9.1.9 does not set the secure attribute on authorization tokens or session cookies. Attackers may be able to get the cookie values by sending a http:// link to a user or by planting this link in a site the user goes to. The cookie will be sent to the insecure link and the attacker can then obtain the cookie value by snooping the traffic.

Jun 24, 2025A session fixation vulnerability in Moodle 3.x through 3.11.18 allows unauthenticated attackers to hijack user sessions via the sesskey parameter.CVE-2025-53021 · Other software · Moodle · reported by MITREMedium 4.2
A session fixation vulnerability in Moodle 3.x through 3.11.18 allows unauthenticated attackers to hijack user sessions via the sesskey parameter. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
