  • Dec 18, 2025Avahi is a system which facilitates service discovery on a local network via the mDNS/DNS-SD protocol suite.CVE-2025-59529 · Other software · avahi · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

Avahi is a system which facilitates service discovery on a local network via the mDNS/DNS-SD protocol suite. In versions up to and including 0.9-rc5, the simple protocol server ignores the documented client limit and accepts unlimited connections, allowing for easy local DoS. Although `CLIENTS_MAX` is defined, `server_work()` unconditionally `accept()`s and `client_new()` always appends the new client and increments `n_clients`. There is no check against the limit. When client cannot be accepted as a result of maximal socket number of avahi-daemon, it logs unconditionally error per each connection. Unprivileged local users can exhaust daemon memory and file descriptors, causing a denial of service system-wide for mDNS/DNS-SD. Exhausting local file descriptors causes increased system load caused by logging errors of each of request. Overloading prevents glibc calls using nss-mdns plugins to resolve `*.local.` names and link-local addresses. As of time of publication, no known patched versions are available, but a candidate fix is available in pull request 808, and some workarounds are available. Simple clients are offered for nss-mdns package functionality. It is not possible to dis

  • Dec 17, 2025In mcp-server-git versions prior to 2025.12.17, when the server is started with the --repository flag to restrict operations to a specific repository path, it dCVE-2025-68145 · Other software · modelcontextprotocol · reported by GitHubMedium 6.4

In mcp-server-git versions prior to 2025.12.17, when the server is started with the --repository flag to restrict operations to a specific repository path, it did not validate that repo_path arguments in subsequent tool calls were actually within that configured path. This could allow tool calls to operate on other repositories accessible to the server process. The fix adds path validation that resolves both the configured repository and the requested path (following symlinks) and verifies the requested path is within the allowed repository before executing any git operations. Users are advised to upgrade to 2025.12.17 upon release to remediate this issue.

In mcp-server-git versions prior to 2025.12.17, the git_diff and git_checkout functions passed user-controlled arguments directly to git CLI commands without sanitization. Flag-like values (e.g., `--output=/path/to/file` for `git_diff`) would be interpreted as command-line options rather than git refs, enabling arbitrary file overwrites. The fix adds validation that rejects arguments starting with - and verifies the argument resolves to a valid git ref via rev_parse before execution. Model Context Protocol Servers is a collection of reference implementations for the model context protocol (MCP). In mcp-server-git versions prior to 2025.9.25, the git_init tool accepted arbitrary filesystem paths and created Git repositories without validating the target location. Unlike other tools which required an existing repository, git_init could operate on any directory accessible to the server process, making those directories eligible for subsequent git operations. The tool was removed entirely, as the server is intended to operate on existing repositories only. Users are advised to upgrade to 2025.9.25 or newer to remediate this issue.

  • Dec 17, 2025FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol.CVE-2025-68118 · Other software · FreeRDP · reported by GitHubMedium 6.6

FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to version 3.20.0, a vulnerability exists in FreeRDP’s certificate handling code on Windows platforms. The function `freerdp_certificate_data_hash_ uses` the Microsoft-specific `_snprintf` function to format certificate cache filenames without guaranteeing NUL termination when truncation occurs. According to Microsoft documentation, `_snprintf` does not append a terminating NUL byte if the formatted output exceeds the destination buffer size. If an attacker controls the hostname value (for example via server redirection or a crafted .rdp file), the resulting filename buffer may not be NUL-terminated. Subsequent string operations performed on this buffer may read beyond the allocated memory region, resulting in a heap-based out-of-bounds read. In default configurations, the connection is typically terminated before sensitive data can be meaningfully exposed, but unintended memory read or a client crash may still occur under certain conditions. Version 3.20.0 has a patch for the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: lookup hci_conn on RX path on protocol side The hdev lock/lookup/unlock/use pattern in the packet RX path doesn't ensure hci_conn* is not concurrently modified/deleted. This locking appears to be leftover from before conn_hash started using RCU commit bf4c63252490b ("Bluetooth: convert conn hash to RCU") and not clear if it had purpose since then. Currently, there are code paths that delete hci_conn* from elsewhere than the ordered hdev->workqueue where the RX work runs in. E.g. commit 5af1f84ed13a ("Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix UAF on hci_abort_conn_sync") introduced some of these, and there probably were a few others before it. It's better to do the locking so that even if these run concurrently no UAF is possible. Move the lookup of hci_conn and associated socket-specific conn to protocol recv handlers, and do them within a single critical section to cover hci_conn* usage and lookup. syzkaller has reported a crash that appears to be this issue: [Task hdev->workqueue] [Task 2] hci_disconnect_all_sync l2cap_recv_acldata(hcon)

  • Dec 11, 2025quic-go is an implementation of the QUIC protocol in Go.CVE-2025-64702 · Other software · quic-go · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

quic-go is an implementation of the QUIC protocol in Go. Versions 0.56.0 and below are vulnerable to excessive memory allocation through quic-go's HTTP/3 client and server implementations by sending a QPACK-encoded HEADERS frame that decodes into a large header field section (many unique header names and/or large values). The implementation builds an http.Header (used on the http.Request and http.Response, respectively), while only enforcing limits on the size of the (QPACK-compressed) HEADERS frame, but not on the decoded header, leading to memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 0.57.0.

BACnet Protocol Stack library provides a BACnet application layer, network layer and media access (MAC) layer communications services. Prior to 1.5.0.rc2, The npdu_is_expected_reply function in src/bacnet/npdu.c indexes request_pdu[offset+2/3/5] and reply_pdu[offset+1/2/4] without verifying that those APDU bytes exist. bacnet_npdu_decode() can return offset == 2 for a 2-byte NPDU, so tiny PDUs pass the version check and then get read out of bounds. On ASan/MPU/strict builds this is an immediate crash (DoS). On unprotected builds it is undefined behavior and can mis-route replies; RCE is unlikely because only reads occur, but DoS is reliable.

CryptoLib provides a software-only solution using the CCSDS Space Data Link Security Protocol - Extended Procedures (SDLS-EP) to secure communications between a spacecraft running the core Flight System (cFS) and a ground station. Prior to 1.4.2, there is a missing bounds check in Crypto_Key_update() (crypto_key_mgmt.c) which allows a remote attacker to trigger a stack-based buffer overflow by supplying a TLV packet with a spoofed length field. The function calculates the number of keys from an attacker-controlled field (pdu_len), which may exceed the static array size (kblk[98]), leading to an out-of-bounds write and potential memory corruption. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.4.2.

The communication protocol implemented in Ghost Robotics Vision 60 v0.27.2 could allow an attacker to send commands to the robot from an external attack station, impersonating the control station (tablet) and gaining unauthorised full control of the robot. The absence of encryption and authentication mechanisms in the communication protocol allows an attacker to capture legitimate traffic between the robot and the controller, replicate it, and send any valid command to the robot from any attacking computer or device. The communication protocol used in this interface is based on MAVLink, a widely documented protocol, which increases the likelihood of attack. There are two methods for connecting to the robot remotely: Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE.

python-ldap is a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) client API for Python. In versions prior to 3.4.5, ldap.dn.escape_dn_chars() escapes \x00 incorrectly by emitting a backslash followed by a literal NUL byte instead of the RFC-4514 hex form \00. Any application that uses this helper to construct DNs from untrusted input can be made to consistently fail before a request is sent to the LDAP server (e.g., AD), resulting in a client-side denial of service. Version 3.4.5 contains a patch for the issue.

  • Oct 10, 2025python-ldap is a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) client API for Python.CVE-2025-61911 · Other software · python-ldap · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

python-ldap is a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) client API for Python. In versions prior to 3.4.5, the sanitization method `ldap.filter.escape_filter_chars` can be tricked to skip escaping of special characters when a crafted `list` or `dict` is supplied as the `assertion_value` parameter, and the non-default `escape_mode=1` is configured. The method `ldap.filter.escape_filter_chars` supports 3 different escaping modes. `escape_mode=0` (default) and `escape_mode=2` happen to raise exceptions when a `list` or `dict` object is supplied as the `assertion_value` parameter. However, `escape_mode=1` computes without performing adequate logic to ensure a fully escaped return value. If an application relies on the vulnerable method in the `python-ldap` library to escape untrusted user input, an attacker might be able to abuse the vulnerability to launch ldap injection attacks which could potentially disclose or manipulate ldap data meant to be inaccessible to them. Version 3.4.5 fixes the issue by adding a type check at the start of the `ldap.filter.escape_filter_chars` method to raise an exception when the supplied `assertion_value` parameter is not of type `str`.

  • Oct 10, 2025quic-go is an implementation of the QUIC protocol in Go.CVE-2025-59530 · Other software · quic-go · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

quic-go is an implementation of the QUIC protocol in Go. In versions prior to 0.49.0, 0.54.1, and 0.55.0, a misbehaving or malicious server can cause a denial-of-service (DoS) attack on the quic-go client by triggering an assertion failure, leading to a process crash. This requires no authentication and can be exploited during the handshake phase. This was observed in the wild with certain server implementations. quic-go needs to be able to handle misbehaving server implementations, including those that prematurely send a HANDSHAKE_DONE frame. Versions 0.49.0, 0.54.1, and 0.55.0 discard Initial keys when receiving a HANDSHAKE_DONE frame, thereby correctly handling premature HANDSHAKE_DONE frames.

  • Oct 9, 2025An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allCVE-2025-60004 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netHigh 8.7

An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-Of-Service (DoS). When an affected system receives a specific BGP EVPN update message over an established BGP session, this causes an rpd crash and restart. A BGP EVPN configuration is not necessary to be vulnerable. If peers are not configured to send BGP EVPN updates to a vulnerable device, then this issue can't occur. This issue affects iBGP and eBGP, over IPv4 and IPv6. This issue affects: Junos OS: * 23.4 versions from 23.4R2-S3 before 23.4R2-S5, * 24.2 versions from 24.2R2 before 24.2R2-S1, * 24.4 versions before 24.4R1-S3, 24.4R2; Junos OS Evolved: * 23.4-EVO versions from 23.4R2-S2-EVO before 23.4R2-S5-EVO, * 24.2-EVO versions from 24.2R2-EVO before 24.2R2-S1-EVO, * 24.4-EVO versions before 24.4R1-S3-EVO, 24.4R2-EVO.

  • Oct 9, 2025An Access of Uninitialized Pointer vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved with BGP sharding configCVE-2025-59962 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netMedium 6

An Access of Uninitialized Pointer vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved with BGP sharding configured allows an attacker triggering indirect next-hop updates, along with timing outside the attacker's control, to cause rpd to crash and restart, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). With BGP sharding enabled, triggering route resolution of an indirect next-hop (e.g., an IGP route change over which a BGP route gets resolved), may cause rpd to crash and restart. An attacker causing continuous IGP route churn, resulting in repeated route re-resolution, will increase the likelihood of triggering this issue, leading to a potentially extended DoS condition. This issue affects: Junos OS: * all versions before 21.4R3-S6,  * from 22.1 before 22.1R3-S6,  * from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S3,  * from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S3,  * from 22.4 before 22.4R3,  * from 23.2 before 23.2R2;  Junos OS Evolved:  * all versions before 22.3R3-S3-EVO,  * from 22.4 before 22.4R3-EVO,  * from 23.2 before 23.2R2-EVO. • Oct 9, 2025A Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input vulnerability in the Session Initialization Protocol (SIP) ALG of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series and SRX CVE-2025-52960 · Network & remote access · Juniper Networks · reported by sirt@juniper.netHigh 8.2

A Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input vulnerability in the Session Initialization Protocol (SIP) ALG of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). When memory utilization is high, and specific SIP packets are received, flowd/mspmand crashes. While the system recovers automatically, the disruption can significantly impact service stability. Continuous receipt of these specific SIP packets, while high utilization is present, will cause a sustained DoS condition. The utilization is outside the attackers control, so they would not be able to deterministically exploit this. This issue affects Junos OS on SRX Series and MX Series:  * All versions before 22.4R3-S7, * from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S4, * from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S5, * from 24.2 before 24.2R2.
