Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: liquidio: Fix off-by-one error in PF setup_nic_devices() cleanup In setup_nic_devicesCVE-2026-23257 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: liquidio: Fix off-by-one error in PF setup_nic_devices() cleanup In setup_nic_devices(), the initialization loop jumps to the label setup_nic_dev_free on failure. The current cleanup loop while(i--) skip the failing index i, causing a memory leak. Fix this by changing the loop to iterate from the current index i down to 0. Also, decrement i in the devlink_alloc failure path to point to the last successfully allocated index. Compile tested only. Issue found using code review.

Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: add proper RCU protection to /proc/net/ptype Yin Fengwei reported an RCU stall in ptyCVE-2026-23255 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: add proper RCU protection to /proc/net/ptype Yin Fengwei reported an RCU stall in ptype_seq_show() and provided a patch. Real issue is that ptype_seq_next() and ptype_seq_show() violate RCU rules. ptype_seq_show() runs under rcu_read_lock(), and reads pt->dev to get device name without any barrier. At the same time, concurrent writers can remove a packet_type structure (which is correctly freed after an RCU grace period) and clear pt->dev without an RCU grace period. Define ptype_iter_state to carry a dev pointer along seq_net_private: struct ptype_iter_state { struct seq_net_private p; struct net_device *dev; // added in this patch }; We need to record the device pointer in ptype_get_idx() and ptype_seq_next() so that ptype_seq_show() is safe against concurrent pt->dev changes. We also need to add full RCU protection in ptype_seq_next(). (Missing READ_ONCE() when reading list.next values) Many thanks to Dong Chenchen for providing a repro.

Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: gro: fix outer network offset The udp GRO complete stage assumes that all the packetsCVE-2026-23254 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: gro: fix outer network offset The udp GRO complete stage assumes that all the packets inserted the RX have the `encapsulation` flag zeroed. Such assumption is not true, as a few H/W NICs can set such flag when H/W offloading the checksum for an UDP encapsulated traffic, the tun driver can inject GSO packets with UDP encapsulation and the problematic layout can also be created via a veth based setup. Due to the above, in the problematic scenarios, udp4_gro_complete() uses the wrong network offset (inner instead of outer) to compute the outer UDP header pseudo checksum, leading to csum validation errors later on in packet processing. Address the issue always clearing the encapsulation flag at GRO completion time. Such flag will be set again as needed for encapsulated packets by udp_gro_complete().

Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-core: fix wrong reinitialization of ringbuffer on reopen dvb_dvr_open() calls dCVE-2026-23253 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-core: fix wrong reinitialization of ringbuffer on reopen dvb_dvr_open() calls dvb_ringbuffer_init() when a new reader opens the DVR device. dvb_ringbuffer_init() calls init_waitqueue_head(), which reinitializes the waitqueue list head to empty. Since dmxdev->dvr_buffer.queue is a shared waitqueue (all opens of the same DVR device share it), this orphans any existing waitqueue entries from io_uring poll or epoll, leaving them with stale prev/next pointers while the list head is reset to {self, self}. The waitqueue and spinlock in dvr_buffer are already properly initialized once in dvb_dmxdev_init(). The open path only needs to reset the buffer data pointer, size, and read/write positions. Replace the dvb_ringbuffer_init() call in dvb_dvr_open() with direct assignment of data/size and a call to dvb_ringbuffer_reset(), which properly resets pread, pwrite, and error with correct memory ordering without touching the waitqueue or spinlock.

Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: get rid of the xchk_xfile_*_descr calls The xchk_xfile_*_descr macros call kasprintf,CVE-2026-23252 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: get rid of the xchk_xfile_*_descr calls The xchk_xfile_*_descr macros call kasprintf, which can fail to allocate memory if the formatted string is larger than 16 bytes (or whatever the nofail guarantees are nowadays). Some of them could easily exceed that, and Jiaming Zhang found a few places where that can happen with syzbot. The descriptions are debugging aids and aren't required to be unique, so let's just pass in static strings and eliminate this path to failure. Note this patch touches a number of commits, most of which were merged between 6.6 and 6.14.

Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: check for deleted cursors when revalidating two btrees The free space and inode btreeCVE-2026-23249 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: check for deleted cursors when revalidating two btrees The free space and inode btree repair functions will rebuild both btrees at the same time, after which it needs to evaluate both btrees to confirm that the corruptions are gone. However, Jiaming Zhang ran syzbot and produced a crash in the second xchk_allocbt call. His root-cause analysis is as follows (with minor corrections): In xrep_revalidate_allocbt(), xchk_allocbt() is called twice (first for BNOBT, second for CNTBT). The cause of this issue is that the first call nullified the cursor required by the second call. Let's first enter xrep_revalidate_allocbt() via following call chain: xfs_file_ioctl() -> xfs_ioc_scrubv_metadata() -> xfs_scrub_metadata() -> `sc->ops->repair_eval(sc)` -> xrep_revalidate_allocbt() xchk_allocbt() is called twice in this function. In the first call: /* Note that sc->sm->sm_type is XFS_SCRUB_TYPE_BNOPT now */ xchk_allocbt() -> xchk_btree() -> `bs->scrub_rec(bs, recp)` -> xchk_allocbt_rec() -> xchk_allocbt_xref() -> xchk_allocbt_xref_other() since sm_type is XFS_SCRUB_TYPE_BNOBT, pur is set to &sc->

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: Enable exception fixup for specific ADE subcode This patch allows the LoongArch BPF JIT to handle recoverable memory access errors generated by BPF_PROBE_MEM* instructions. When a BPF program performs memory access operations, the instructions it executes may trigger ADEM exceptions. The kernel’s built-in BPF exception table mechanism (EX_TYPE_BPF) will generate corresponding exception fixup entries in the JIT compilation phase; however, the architecture-specific trap handling function needs to proactively call the common fixup routine to achieve exception recovery. do_ade(): fix EX_TYPE_BPF memory access exceptions for BPF programs, ensure safe execution. Relevant test cases: illegal address access tests in module_attach and subprogs_extable of selftests/bpf.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not free data reservation in fallback from inline due to -ENOSPC If we fail to create an inline extent due to -ENOSPC, we will attempt to go through the normal COW path, reserve an extent, create an ordered extent, etc. However we were always freeing the reserved qgroup data, which is wrong since we will use data. Fix this by freeing the reserved qgroup data in __cow_file_range_inline() only if we are not doing the fallback (ret is <= 0).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/core: Fix refcount bug and potential UAF in perf_mmap Syzkaller reported a refcount_t: addition on 0; use-after-free warning in perf_mmap. The issue is caused by a race condition between a failing mmap() setup and a concurrent mmap() on a dependent event (e.g., using output redirection). In perf_mmap(), the ring_buffer (rb) is allocated and assigned to event->rb with the mmap_mutex held. The mutex is then released to perform map_range(). If map_range() fails, perf_mmap_close() is called to clean up. However, since the mutex was dropped, another thread attaching to this event (via inherited events or output redirection) can acquire the mutex, observe the valid event->rb pointer, and attempt to increment its reference count. If the cleanup path has already dropped the reference count to zero, this results in a use-after-free or refcount saturation warning. Fix this by extending the scope of mmap_mutex to cover the map_range() call. This ensures that the ring buffer initialization and mapping (or cleanup on failure) happens atomically effectively, preventing other threads from accessing a half-initialized o

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme: fix memory allocation in nvme_pr_read_keys() nvme_pr_read_keys() takes num_keys from userspace and uses it to calculate the allocation size for rse via struct_size(). The upper limit is PR_KEYS_MAX (64K). Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: fix infinite loop triggered by zero-sized ATTR_LIST We found an infinite loop bCVE-2025-71267 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: fix infinite loop triggered by zero-sized ATTR_LIST We found an infinite loop bug in the ntfs3 file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. A malformed NTFS image can cause an infinite loop when an ATTR_LIST attribute indicates a zero data size while the driver allocates memory for it. When ntfs_load_attr_list() processes a resident ATTR_LIST with data_size set to zero, it still allocates memory because of al_aligned(0). This creates an inconsistent state where ni->attr_list.size is zero, but ni->attr_list.le is non-null. This causes ni_enum_attr_ex to incorrectly assume that no attribute list exists and enumerates only the primary MFT record. When it finds ATTR_LIST, the code reloads it and restarts the enumeration, repeating indefinitely. The mount operation never completes, hanging the kernel thread. This patch adds validation to ensure that data_size is non-zero before memory allocation. When a zero-sized ATTR_LIST is detected, the function returns -EINVAL, preventing a DoS vulnerability.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: check return value of indx_find to avoid infinite loop We found an infinite loop bug in the ntfs3 file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. A malformed dentry in the ntfs3 filesystem can cause the kernel to hang during the lookup operations. By setting the HAS_SUB_NODE flag in an INDEX_ENTRY within a directory's INDEX_ALLOCATION block and manipulating the VCN pointer, an attacker can cause the indx_find() function to repeatedly read the same block, allocating 4 KB of memory each time. The kernel lacks VCN loop detection and depth limits, causing memory exhaustion and an OOM crash. This patch adds a return value check for fnd_push() to prevent a memory exhaustion vulnerability caused by infinite loops. When the index exceeds the size of the fnd->nodes array, fnd_push() returns -EINVAL. The indx_find() function checks this return value and stops processing, preventing further memory allocation.

Mar 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: fix infinite loop in attr_load_runs_range on inconsistent metadata We found an CVE-2025-71265 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: fix infinite loop in attr_load_runs_range on inconsistent metadata We found an infinite loop bug in the ntfs3 file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. A malformed NTFS image can cause an infinite loop when an attribute header indicates an empty run list, while directory entries reference it as containing actual data. In NTFS, setting evcn=-1 with svcn=0 is a valid way to represent an empty run list, and run_unpack() correctly handles this by checking if evcn + 1 equals svcn and returning early without parsing any run data. However, this creates a problem when there is metadata inconsistency, where the attribute header claims to be empty (evcn=-1) but the caller expects to read actual data. When run_unpack() immediately returns success upon seeing this condition, it leaves the runs_tree uninitialized with run->runs as a NULL. The calling function attr_load_runs_range() assumes that a successful return means that the runs were loaded and sets clen to 0, expecting the next run_lookup_entry() call to succeed. Because runs_tree remains uninitialized, run_lookup_entry() continues to

A local, non-privileged attacker can abuse a vulnerable IOCTL interface exposed by the OpenEDR 2.5.1.0 kernel driver to modify the DLL injection path used by the product. By redirecting this path to a user-writable location, an attacker can cause OpenEDR to load an attacker-controlled DLL into high-privilege processes. This results in arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges, leading to full compromise of the affected system.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/xattr: missing fdput() in fremovexattr error path In the Linux kernel, the fremovexattr() syscall calls fdget() to acquire a file reference but returns early without calling fdput() when strncpy_from_user() fails on the name argument. In multi-threaded processes where fdget() takes the slow path, this permanently leaks one file reference per call, pinning the struct file and associated kernel objects in memory. An unprivileged local user can exploit this to cause kernel memory exhaustion. The issue was inadvertently fixed by commit a71874379ec8 ("xattr: switch to CLASS(fd)").

A stack buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Wincor Nixdorf wnBios64.sys kernel driver (version 1.2.0.0) in the IOCTL handler for code 0x80102058. The vulnerability is caused by missing bounds checking on the user-controlled Options parameter before copying data into a 40-byte stack buffer (Src[40]) using memmove. An attacker with local access can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted IOCTL request with Options > 40, causing a stack buffer overflow that may lead to kernel code execution, local privilege escalation, or denial of service (system crash). Additionally, the same IOCTL handler can leak kernel addresses and other sensitive stack data when reading beyond the buffer boundaries.

Mar 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: romfs: check sb_set_blocksize() return value romfs_fill_super() ignores the return value oCVE-2026-23238 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: romfs: check sb_set_blocksize() return value romfs_fill_super() ignores the return value of sb_set_blocksize(), which can fail if the requested block size is incompatible with the block device's configuration. This can be triggered by setting a loop device's block size larger than PAGE_SIZE using ioctl(LOOP_SET_BLOCK_SIZE, 32768), then mounting a romfs filesystem on that device. When sb_set_blocksize(sb, ROMBSIZE) is called with ROMBSIZE=4096 but the device has logical_block_size=32768, bdev_validate_blocksize() fails because the requested size is smaller than the device's logical block size. sb_set_blocksize() returns 0 (failure), but romfs ignores this and continues mounting. The superblock's block size remains at the device's logical block size (32768). Later, when sb_bread() attempts I/O with this oversized block size, it triggers a kernel BUG in folio_set_bh(): kernel BUG at fs/buffer.c:1582! BUG_ON(size > PAGE_SIZE); Fix by checking the return value of sb_set_blocksize() and failing the mount with -EINVAL if it returns 0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: classmate-laptop: Add missing NULL pointer checks In a few places in the Classmate laptop driver, code using the accel object may run before that object's address is stored in the driver data of the input device using it. For example, cmpc_accel_sensitivity_store_v4() is the "show" method of cmpc_accel_sensitivity_attr_v4 which is added in cmpc_accel_add_v4(), before calling dev_set_drvdata() for inputdev->dev. If the sysfs attribute is accessed prematurely, the dev_get_drvdata(&inputdev->dev) call in in cmpc_accel_sensitivity_store_v4() returns NULL which leads to a NULL pointer dereference going forward. Moreover, sysfs attributes using the input device are added before initializing that device by cmpc_add_acpi_notify_device() and if one of them is accessed before running that function, a NULL pointer dereference will occur. For example, cmpc_accel_sensitivity_attr_v4 is added before calling cmpc_add_acpi_notify_device() and if it is read prematurely, the dev_get_drvdata(&acpi->dev) call in cmpc_accel_sensitivity_show_v4() returns NULL which leads to a NULL pointer dereference going forward.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix out-of-bounds access in sysfs attribute read/write Some f2fs sysfs attributes suffer from out-of-bounds memory access and incorrect handling of integer values whose size is not 4 bytes. For example: vm:~# echo 65537 > /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/carve_out vm:~# cat /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/carve_out 65537 vm:~# echo 4294967297 > /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/atgc_age_threshold vm:~# cat /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/atgc_age_threshold 1 carve_out maps to {struct f2fs_sb_info}->carve_out, which is a 8-bit integer. However, the sysfs interface allows setting it to a value larger than 255, resulting in an out-of-range update. atgc_age_threshold maps to {struct atgc_management}->age_threshold, which is a 64-bit integer, but its sysfs interface cannot correctly set values larger than UINT_MAX. The root causes are: 1. __sbi_store() treats all default values as unsigned int, which prevents updating integers larger than 4 bytes and causes out-of-bounds writes for integers smaller than 4 bytes. 2. f2fs_sbi_show() also assumes all default values are unsigned int, leading to out-of-bounds reads and incorrect access to integers larger than 4 bytes. Mar 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix use-after-free in nf_tables_addchain() nf_tables_addchain() publCVE-2026-23231 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix use-after-free in nf_tables_addchain() nf_tables_addchain() publishes the chain to table->chains via list_add_tail_rcu() (in nft_chain_add()) before registering hooks. If nf_tables_register_hook() then fails, the error path calls nft_chain_del() (list_del_rcu()) followed by nf_tables_chain_destroy() with no RCU grace period in between. This creates two use-after-free conditions: 1) Control-plane: nf_tables_dump_chains() traverses table->chains under rcu_read_lock(). A concurrent dump can still be walking the chain when the error path frees it. 2) Packet path: for NFPROTO_INET, nf_register_net_hook() briefly installs the IPv4 hook before IPv6 registration fails. Packets entering nft_do_chain() via the transient IPv4 hook can still be dereferencing chain->blob_gen_X when the error path frees the chain. Add synchronize_rcu() between nft_chain_del() and the chain destroy so that all RCU readers -- both dump threads and in-flight packet evaluation -- have finished before the chain is freed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: split cached_fid bitfields to avoid shared-byte RMW races is_open, has_lease and on_list are stored in the same bitfield byte in struct cached_fid but are updated in different code paths that may run concurrently. Bitfield assignments generate byte read–modify–write operations (e.g. `orb $mask, addr` on x86_64), so updating one flag can restore stale values of the others. A possible interleaving is: CPU1: load old byte (has_lease=1, on_list=1) CPU2: clear both flags (store 0) CPU1: RMW store (old | IS_OPEN) -> reintroduces cleared bits To avoid this class of races, convert these flags to separate bool fields.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: virtio - Add spinlock protection with virtqueue notification When VM boots with one virtio-crypto PCI device and builtin backend, run openssl benchmark command with multiple processes, such as openssl speed -evp aes-128-cbc -engine afalg -seconds 10 -multi 32 openssl processes will hangup and there is error reported like this: virtio_crypto virtio0: dataq.0:id 3 is not a head! It seems that the data virtqueue need protection when it is handled for virtio done notification. If the spinlock protection is added in virtcrypto_done_task(), openssl benchmark with multiple processes works well.

Feb 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: server: fix leak of active_num_conn in ksmbd_tcp_new_connection() On kthread_run() faCVE-2026-23228 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: server: fix leak of active_num_conn in ksmbd_tcp_new_connection() On kthread_run() failure in ksmbd_tcp_new_connection(), the transport is freed via free_transport(), which does not decrement active_num_conn, leaking this counter. Replace free_transport() with ksmbd_tcp_disconnect().

Feb 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exynos: vidi: use ctx->lock to protect struct vidi_context member variables related to CVE-2026-23227 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exynos: vidi: use ctx->lock to protect struct vidi_context member variables related to memory alloc/free Exynos Virtual Display driver performs memory alloc/free operations without lock protection, which easily causes concurrency problem. For example, use-after-free can occur in race scenario like this: ``` CPU0 CPU1 CPU2 ---- ---- ---- vidi_connection_ioctl() if (vidi->connection) // true drm_edid = drm_edid_alloc(); // alloc drm_edid ... ctx->raw_edid = drm_edid; ... drm_mode_getconnector() drm_helper_probe_single_connector_modes() vidi_get_modes() if (ctx->raw_edid) // true drm_edid_dup(ctx->raw_edid); if (!drm_edid) // false ... vidi_connection_ioctl() if (vidi->connection) // false drm_edid_free(ctx->raw_edid); // free drm_edid ... drm_edid_alloc(drm_edid->edid) kmemdup(edid); // UAF!! ... ``` To prevent these vulns, at least in vidi_context, member variables related to memory alloc

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: add chann_lock to protect ksmbd_chann_list xarray ksmbd_chann_list xarray lacks synchronization, allowing use-after-free in multi-channel sessions (between lookup_chann_list() and ksmbd_chann_del). Adds rw_semaphore chann_lock to struct ksmbd_session and protects all xa_load/xa_store/xa_erase accesses.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
