Jun 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm cache metadata: fix memory leak on metadata abort retry When failing to acquire the rooCVE-2026-53060 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm cache metadata: fix memory leak on metadata abort retry When failing to acquire the root_lock in dm_cache_metadata_abort because the block_manager is read-only, the temporary block_manager created outside the root_lock is not properly released, causing a memory leak. Reproduce steps: This can be reproduced by reloading a new table while the metadata is read-only. While the second call to dm_cache_metadata_abort is caused by lack of support for table preload in dm-cache, mentioned in commit 9b1cc9f251af ("dm cache: share cache-metadata object across inactive and active DM tables"), it exposes the memory leak in dm_cache_metadata_abort when the function is called multiple times. Specifically, dm-cache fails to sync the new cache object's mode during preresume, creating the reproducer condition. This issue could also occur through concurrent metadata_operation_failed calls due to races in cache mode updates, but the table preload scenario below provides a reliable reproducer. 1. Create a cache device with some faulty trailing metadata blocks dmsetup create cmeta <<EOF 0 200 linear /dev/sdc 0 200 7992 error E

Jun 24, 2026Apple M1 GPUs retain register file data between compute shader dispatches from different processes.CVE-2026-49269 · Other software · reported by MITREHigh 8.6
Apple M1 GPUs retain register file data between compute shader dispatches from different processes. A sandboxed Metal attacker app can run a GPU reader shader that reads stale register values left by a separate sandboxed victim app. In the proof of concept, GPUVictim.app generates a fresh random 128-bit secret using SecRandomCopyBytes and loads it into GPU registers. GPUAttacker.app, a separate sandboxed app, recovers the exact secret from stale GPU register state. NOTE: The vendor stated that this behavior affects only legacy hardware and has already been addressed at the hardware level in current-generation Apple Silicon.

Jun 24, 2026WP Meta SEO: Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-9643 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The WP Meta SEO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the REQUEST_URI server variable in all versions up to, and including, 4.5.18. When the plugin's `wpmsTemplateRedirect()` hook detects a 404, it concatenates `$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']` with the raw `$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']` and inserts that value verbatim into the `wp_wpms_links.link_url` column via `$wpdb->insert()`. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute whenever an administrator views the plugin's 404 & Redirects admin page (`/wp-admin/admin.php?page=metaseo_broken_link`).

Jun 24, 2026WP Meta SEO: Server-Side Request ForgeryCVE-2026-11370 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The WP Meta SEO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 4.5.18 via the 'new_link' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application and can be used to query and modify information from internal services. The HTTP response status from outbound requests is reflected back in the AJAX JSON response as status_code, providing an enumeration oracle usable for probing internal hosts and cloud metadata services.

Apache Doris MCP Server contains a SQL injection vulnerability in a metadata query path. A user-controlled database name is directly interpolated into a SQL query, and the query is executed without passing the caller's authorization context. This may allow an authenticated attacker, or an anonymous attacker if authentication is disabled, to bypass SQL security validation and access metadata outside the intended database scope. Affected users are recommended to upgrade to Doris version 0.6.1 or later, which fixes the issue.

Jun 15, 2026Metacat is data repository software that helps researchers preserve, share, and discover data.CVE-2026-48114 · Other software · NCEAS · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8
Metacat is data repository software that helps researchers preserve, share, and discover data. Versions 2.0.0 and and above contain an unauthenticated SQL injection in the /harvesterRegistration endpoint. HarvesterRegistration.dbInsert() builds an INSERT against HARVEST_SITE_SCHEDULE via string concatenation, using a quoteString() helper that performs raw single-quote wrapping without escaping. Three request parameters reach the sink: unit, contactEmail, and documentListURL. The servlet does not verify a real LDAP identity. Allowing the vulnerable insert to proceed. Since the PostgreSQL backend permits stacked queries via Statement.executeUpdate(), this vulnerability allows full read/write/execute access in the Metacat database context. The vulnerability was remediated in Metacat 3.0.0.

Jun 12, 2026Heap buffer out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Avast Antivirus when scanning a malformed Windows PE file with .NET metadata may allow Local Execution of Code oCVE-2025-7008 · Other software · Gen Digital · reported by security@nortonlifelock.comHigh 7.8
Heap buffer out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Avast Antivirus when scanning a malformed Windows PE file with .NET metadata may allow Local Execution of Code or Denial-of-Service of the antivirus process. This issue affects Avast Antivirus, AVG Antivirus, Norton Antivirus, Avast One, and Avast Business Antivirus on Windows, macOS, and Linux for virus definition builds before VPS 25021310. The affected scanning logic is delivered through a shared Gen Digital virus definition update stream. The same stream feeds the consumer antivirus products listed in this advisory and other Gen Digital products that embed the same engine. Mitigation flows through this update channel; installations at or above the listed build are not vulnerable regardless of which product consumes the stream.

Jun 12, 2026MISP contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the UiBeta event index view.CVE-2026-54395 · Other software · misp · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
MISP contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the UiBeta event index view. The urlparams value is inserted into an inline JavaScript handler using HTML escaping inside a single-quoted JavaScript string. Because browsers HTML-decode attribute values before JavaScript parsing, a crafted searcheventinfo value can restore encoded quote characters and break out of the JavaScript string. An attacker could craft a malicious URL that, when opened by a victim using the UiBeta event index, executes arbitrary JavaScript in the victim’s browser in the context of the MISP instance. The issue is fixed by encoding the value as a JavaScript string literal with json_encode() before applying HTML escaping at the attribute layer.

Jun 12, 2026IPAM is the IP address Manager for Cluster API Provider Metal3.CVE-2026-47190 · Other software · metal3-io · reported by GitHubMedium 4.4
IPAM is the IP address Manager for Cluster API Provider Metal3. Prior to versions 1.11.7, 1.12.4, and 1.13.0, the IPAM controller's ClusterRole granted full CRUD permissions (create, delete, get, list, patch, update, watch) on core/v1 Secrets. The controller never accesses Secrets during normal operation. If the controller pod were compromised (e.g. via supply chain attack or container escape), an attacker could leverage these excessive permissions to read, modify, or delete Secrets in the namespace, potentially exposing credentials and other sensitive data. This issue has been patched in versions 1.11.7, 1.12.4, and 1.13.0.

Jun 12, 2026A vulnerability in Apache CXF's JwsJsonContainerRequestFilter can be exploited to cause CXF to process metadata that was not authenticated by the accepted signaCVE-2026-50634 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5
A vulnerability in Apache CXF's JwsJsonContainerRequestFilter can be exploited to cause CXF to process metadata that was not authenticated by the accepted signature. This can bypass the application's assumption that accepted `Content-Type` or protected HTTP-header metadata came from a verified signature entry, and may steer downstream JAX-RS entity parsing or signed-header consistency checks. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.2 or 4.1.7 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue.

Several Spring WS integration paths with Spring Security could surface detailed account state (for example locked or disabled user semantics) to remote SOAP clients through exception messages or callback outcomes, instead of failing with generic authentication errors. That behavior assists remote attackers in distinguishing valid accounts from invalid ones and inferring lifecycle state. Affected versions: Spring Web Services 5.0.0 through 5.0.1; 4.1.0 through 4.1.3; 4.0.0 through 4.0.18; 3.1.0 through 3.1.8.
