  • Jun 8, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: mediatek: fix use-after-free in scpsys_get_bus_protection_legacy() In scpsys_getCVE-2026-46308 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: mediatek: fix use-after-free in scpsys_get_bus_protection_legacy() In scpsys_get_bus_protection_legacy(), of_find_node_with_property() returns a device node with its reference count incremented. The function then calls of_node_put(node) before checking whether syscon_regmap_lookup_by_phandle() returns an error. If an error occurs, dev_err_probe() dereferences the node pointer to print diagnostic information, but the node memory may have already been freed due to the earlier of_node_put(), leading to a use-after-free vulnerability. Fix this by moving the of_node_put() call after the error check, ensuring the node is still valid when accessed in the error path.

  • Jun 8, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: core: Fix detach procedure for virtual devices in genpd If a device is attached CVE-2026-46292 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: core: Fix detach procedure for virtual devices in genpd If a device is attached to a PM domain through genpd_dev_pm_attach_by_id(), genpd calls pm_runtime_enable() for the corresponding virtual device that it registers. While this avoids boilerplate code in drivers, there is no corresponding call to pm_runtime_disable() in genpd_dev_pm_detach(). This means these virtual devices are typically detached from its genpd, while runtime PM remains enabled for them, which is not how things are designed to work. In worst cases it may lead to critical errors, like a NULL pointer dereference bug in genpd_runtime_suspend(), which was recently reported. For another case, we may end up keeping an unnecessary vote for a performance state for the device. To fix these problems, let's add this missing call to pm_runtime_disable() in genpd_dev_pm_detach().

  • Jun 5, 2026Internationalized Domain Names in Applications (IDNA) for Python provides support for Internationalized Domain Names in Applications (IDNA) and Unicode IDNA ComCVE-2026-45409 · Other software · kjd · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

Internationalized Domain Names in Applications (IDNA) for Python provides support for Internationalized Domain Names in Applications (IDNA) and Unicode IDNA Compatibility Processing. In versions prior to 3.15, payloads such as `"\u0660" * N` or `"\u30fb" * N + "\u6f22"` utilize the `valid_contexto` function prior to length rejection, and for high values of `N` will take a long time to process. This is the same issue as CVE-2024-3651, however the original remediation in 2024 was not a complete fix. A specially crafted argument to the `idna.encode()` function could consume significant resources. This may lead to a denial-of-service. Starting in version 3.14, the function rejects long inputs as soon as practicable prior to any further processing to minimize resource consumption. In version 3.15, this approach was extended to lesser used alternate functions (i.e. per-label conversions and codec support). A workaround is available. Domain names cannot exceed 253 characters in length. If this length limit is enforced prior to passing the domain to the `idna.encode()` function, it should no longer consume significant resources. This is triggered by arbitrarily large inputs that would not

Weak Randomness / Insecure Cryptographic Primitive (CWE-338) in Get-RandomPassword in BOSH-Ecosystem / windows-utilities-release allows a network attacker to estimate VM boot time and reconstruct a small candidate list to recover the Administrator password. The randomize_password job exists solely to lock the local Administrator account behind an unguessable password as a hardening control. Because the password is derived from a predictable, clock-seeded PRNG, a network attacker who can estimate VM boot time can reconstruct a small candidate list and recover the Administrator password, defeating the hardening control. In reality, this is hard to exploit because an attacker would need to have access to a valid UUID for the file they desire which is unlikely to happen without a separate security problem giving them access to logs etc.

  • May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix LOG_SUBDOMAINS_OFF inheritance across fork() hook_cred_transfer() only copieCVE-2026-46057 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Low 3.3

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix LOG_SUBDOMAINS_OFF inheritance across fork() hook_cred_transfer() only copies the Landlock security blob when the source credential has a domain. This is inconsistent with landlock_restrict_self() which can set LOG_SUBDOMAINS_OFF on a credential without creating a domain (via the ruleset_fd=-1 path): the field is committed but not preserved across fork() because the child's prepare_creds() calls hook_cred_transfer() which skips the copy when domain is NULL. This breaks the documented use case where a process mutes subdomain logs before forking sandboxed children: the children lose the muting and their domains produce unexpected audit records. Fix this by unconditionally copying the Landlock credential blob.

Firefox for iOS displayed specially crafted right-to-left (RTL) and internationalized domain names (IDNs) incorrectly in link preview UI surfaces. A crafted RTL hostname could visually reorder portions of the displayed domain, causing attacker-controlled sites to appear as trusted origins. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox for iOS 151.1.

  • May 21, 2026libcasper(3) communicates with helper processes via UNIX domain sockets, and uses the select(2) system call to wait for data to become available.CVE-2026-39461 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgHigh 8.8

libcasper(3) communicates with helper processes via UNIX domain sockets, and uses the select(2) system call to wait for data to become available. However, it does not verify that its socket descriptor fits within select(2)'s descriptor set size limit of FD_SETSIZE (1024). An attacker able to cause an application using libcasper(3) to allocate large file descriptors, e.g., by opening many descriptors and executing a program which is not careful to close them upon startup, may trigger stack corruption. If the target application runs with setuid root privileges, this could be used to escalate local privileges.

TeleJSON prior to 6.0.0 contains a DOM-based cross-site scripting vulnerability in the parse() function that allows attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript by delivering a crafted JSON payload containing a malicious _constructor-name_ property value. The custom reviver passes the constructor name directly to new Function() without sanitization when recreating object prototypes, enabling attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript through vectors such as postMessage in cross-frame communication contexts to achieve script execution within the application.

  • May 20, 2026NLnet Labs Unbound 1.16.2 up to and including version 1.25.0 has a vulnerability of the 'ghost domain names' family of attacks that could extend the ghost domaiCVE-2026-40622 · Other software · NLnet Labs · reported by sep@nlnetlabs.nlMedium 6.6

NLnet Labs Unbound 1.16.2 up to and including version 1.25.0 has a vulnerability of the 'ghost domain names' family of attacks that could extend the ghost domain window by up to one cached TTL configured value. Similar to other 'ghost domain names' attacks, an adversary needs to control a (ghost) zone and be able to query a vulnerable Unbound. A single client NS query can cause Unbound to overwrite the cached expired parent-side referral NS rrset with the child-side apex NS rrset and essentially extend the ghost domain window by up to one cached TTL configured value ('cache-max-ttl'). In configurations where 'harden-referral-path: yes' is used (non-default configuration), no client NS query is required since Unbound implicitly performs that query. Unbound 1.25.1 contains a patch with a fix that does not allow extension of TTLs for (parent) NS records regardless of their trust.
