  • May 25, 2026Archive::Tar versions before 3.10 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via attacker controlled entry size field in tar header.CVE-2026-9538 · Other software · BINGOS · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Archive::Tar versions before 3.10 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via attacker controlled entry size field in tar header. _read_tar() reads each entry's payload with $handle->read($$data, $block), where $block is derived from the entry's 12-byte size field in the tar header with no upper bound on that value. A crafted header declaring a multi-gigabyte size causes Perl to allocate a scalar of that size.

  • May 25, 2026Archive::Tar versions before 3.08 for Perl extract hardlinks to attacker controlled paths outside the extraction directory.CVE-2026-42497 · Other software · BINGOS · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Archive::Tar versions before 3.08 for Perl extract hardlinks to attacker controlled paths outside the extraction directory. _make_special_file() passes the tar header's linkname to link() without validating it against absolute paths or .. segments, creating a hardlink that shares the victim file's inode. A subsequent write through the extracted name modifies the victim file, and the post-extraction chmod, chown, and utime block in _extract_file() (guarded only against symlinks via -l) applies the tar header's mode, owner, and timestamps to the shared inode during extraction alone.

Archive::Tar versions before 3.08 for Perl extract symlinks with attacker controlled targets outside the extraction directory. _make_special_file() passes the tar header's linkname to symlink() without validating it against absolute paths or .. segments. The secure-extract mode check that guards regular file extraction does not cover the symlink target. A subsequent open through the extracted name reads or writes the attacker chosen path.

  • May 22, 2026An issue was discovered in all versions of PCManFM-Qt starting from 1.1.0.CVE-2026-48700 · Other software · LXQt · reported by MITRECritical 9.3

An issue was discovered in all versions of PCManFM-Qt starting from 1.1.0. When a regular file's path is passed as a URI in an org.freedesktop.FileManager1.ShowFolders D-Bus method call, PCManFM-Qt delegates to a different program (based on the file type) without user confirmation. This could be used to achieve code execution or circumvent network namespace restrictions. NOTE: those outcomes are potentially unwanted by most users; however, the behavior of the product does comply with the applicable specification, and a simplistic solution (ensuring that the URI does not name a regular file) may have adverse consequences for I/O.

  • May 14, 2026A vulnerability in mlflow/mlflow versions 3.9.0 and earlier allows unauthenticated access to certain FastAPI routes when the server is started with authenticatiCVE-2026-2652 · Other software · mlflow · reported by security@huntr.devHigh 8.6

A vulnerability in mlflow/mlflow versions 3.9.0 and earlier allows unauthenticated access to certain FastAPI routes when the server is started with authentication enabled (`--app-name basic-auth`) and served via uvicorn (ASGI). The FastAPI permission middleware only enforces authentication on `/gateway/` routes, leaving other routes such as the Job API (`/ajax-api/3.0/jobs/*`) and the OpenTelemetry trace ingestion API (`/v1/traces`) unprotected. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers to submit jobs, read job results, cancel running jobs, and inject arbitrary trace data into experiments. The issue arises from an architectural mismatch between Flask and FastAPI authentication mechanisms, where the `_find_fastapi_validator()` function fails to handle non-`/gateway/` paths, resulting in a complete authentication bypass. This vulnerability is fixed in version 3.10.0.

  • May 12, 2026Rate Star Review Vote - AJAX Reviews, Votes, Star Ratings: Missing AuthorizationCVE-2026-4301 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Rate Star Review Vote - AJAX Reviews, Votes, Star Ratings plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to and including 1.6.4. The vwrsr_review() AJAX handler lacks both capability checks and nonce verification. The only access control is an is_user_logged_in() check. When the 'form' parameter is set to 'update', the function takes an arbitrary post ID from the user-supplied 'rating_id' GET parameter, sets it as the post ID in the update array, and passes it directly to wp_update_post(). This overwrites the target post's title, content, author (changed to the attacker's user ID), post_type (changed to the plugin's custom post type, default 'review'), and status. Additionally, update_post_meta() is called on the arbitrary post ID at lines 758-763, modifying its metadata. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to modify the title, content, author, post type, and metadata of arbitrary posts and pages on the site via the 'rating_id' parameter, effectively allowing full post content takeover.

  • May 9, 2026Arcane is an interface for managing Docker containers, images, networks, and volumes.CVE-2026-42461 · Other software · getarcaneapp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Arcane is an interface for managing Docker containers, images, networks, and volumes. Prior to version 1.18.0, four GET endpoints under /api/templates* in Arcane's Huma backend are registered without any Security requirement, allowing any unauthenticated network client to list and read the full Compose YAML and .env content of every custom template stored in the instance. Because Arcane's UI exposes a "Save as Template" flow on the project / swarm-stack creation pages that persists the operator's real env content (database passwords, API keys, etc.) verbatim, this missing authorization is an unauthenticated read of operator secrets in practice — not a theoretical info-disclosure. The frontend explicitly treats /customize/templates/* as an authenticated area (PROTECTED_PREFIXES in frontend/src/lib/utils/redirect.util.ts), and every CRUD operation (POST/PUT/DELETE) on the same paths requires a Bearer/API key, so this is a clear backend authorization gap, not intended public access. This issue has been patched in version 1.18.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: qcom: qdsp6: Fix q6apm remove ordering during ADSP stop and start During ADSP stop and start, the kernel crashes due to the order in which ASoC components are removed. On ADSP stop, the q6apm-audio .remove callback unloads topology and removes PCM runtimes during ASoC teardown. This deletes the RTDs that contain the q6apm DAI components before their removal pass runs, leaving those components still linked to the card and causing crashes on the next rebind. Fix this by ensuring that all dependent (child) components are removed first, and the q6apm component is removed last. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: Fix a hmm_range_fault() livelock / starvation problem If hmm_range_fault() fails a folio_trylock() in do_swap_page, trying to acquire the lock of a device-private folio for migration, to ram, the function will spin until it succeeds grabbing the lock. However, if the process holding the lock is depending on a work item to be completed, which is scheduled on the same CPU as the spinning hmm_range_fault(), that work item might be starved and we end up in a livelock / starvation situation which is never resolved. This can happen, for example if the process holding the device-private folio lock is stuck in migrate_device_unmap()->lru_add_drain_all() sinc lru_add_drain_all() requires a short work-item to be run on all online cpus to complete. A prerequisite for this to happen is: a) Both zone device and system memory folios are considered in migrate_device_unmap(), so that there is a reason to call lru_add_drain_all() for a system memory folio while a folio lock is held on a zone device folio. b) The zone device folio has an initial mapcount > 1 which causes at least one migration PTE entry inser

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix starvation of scx_enable() under fair-class saturation During scx_enable(), the READY -> ENABLED task switching loop changes the calling thread's sched_class from fair to ext. Since fair has higher priority than ext, saturating fair-class workloads can indefinitely starve the enable thread, hanging the system. This was introduced when the enable path switched from preempt_disable() to scx_bypass() which doesn't protect against fair-class starvation. Note that the original preempt_disable() protection wasn't complete either - in partial switch modes, the calling thread could still be starved after preempt_enable() as it may have been switched to ext class. Fix it by offloading the enable body to a dedicated system-wide RT (SCHED_FIFO) kthread which cannot be starved by either fair or ext class tasks. scx_enable() lazily creates the kthread on first use and passes the ops pointer through a struct scx_enable_cmd containing the kthread_work, then synchronously waits for completion. The workfn runs on a different kthread from sch->helper (which runs disable_work), so it can safely flush disable_work o

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: srcu: Use irq_work to start GP in tiny SRCU Tiny SRCU's srcu_gp_start_if_needed() directly calls schedule_work(), which acquires the workqueue pool->lock. This causes a lockdep splat when call_srcu() is called with a scheduler lock held, due to: call_srcu() [holding pi_lock] srcu_gp_start_if_needed() schedule_work() -> pool->lock workqueue_init() / create_worker() [holding pool->lock] wake_up_process() -> try_to_wake_up() -> pi_lock Also add irq_work_sync() to cleanup_srcu_struct() to prevent a use-after-free if a queued irq_work fires after cleanup begins. Tested with rcutorture SRCU-T and no lockdep warnings. [ Thanks to Boqun for similar fix in patch "rcu: Use an intermediate irq_work to start process_srcu()" ]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: file: Use kzalloc_flex for aio_cmd The target_core_file doesn't initialize the aio_cmd->iocb for the ki_write_stream. When a write command fd_execute_rw_aio() is executed, we may get a bogus ki_write_stream value, causing unintended write failure status when checking iocb->ki_write_stream > max_write_streams in the block device. Let's just use kzalloc_flex when allocating the aio_cmd and let ki_write_stream=0 to fix this issue.

  • May 1, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: tcm_loop: Drain commands in target_reset handler tcm_loop_target_reset() vioCVE-2026-43054 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: tcm_loop: Drain commands in target_reset handler tcm_loop_target_reset() violates the SCSI EH contract: it returns SUCCESS without draining any in-flight commands. The SCSI EH documentation (scsi_eh.rst) requires that when a reset handler returns SUCCESS the driver has made lower layers "forget about timed out scmds" and is ready for new commands. Every other SCSI LLD (virtio_scsi, mpt3sas, ipr, scsi_debug, mpi3mr) enforces this by draining or completing outstanding commands before returning SUCCESS. Because tcm_loop_target_reset() doesn't drain, the SCSI EH reuses in-flight scsi_cmnd structures for recovery commands (e.g. TUR) while the target core still has async completion work queued for the old se_cmd. The memset in queuecommand zeroes se_lun and lun_ref_active, causing transport_lun_remove_cmd() to skip its percpu_ref_put(). The leaked LUN reference prevents transport_clear_lun_ref() from completing, hanging configfs LUN unlink forever in D-state: INFO: task rm:264 blocked for more than 122 seconds. rm D 0 264 258 0x00004000 Call Trace: __schedule+0x3d0/0x8e

  • May 1, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: cdns3: gadget: fix state inconsistency on gadget init failure When cdns3_gadget_startCVE-2026-31754 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: cdns3: gadget: fix state inconsistency on gadget init failure When cdns3_gadget_start() fails, the DRD hardware is left in gadget mode while software state remains INACTIVE, creating hardware/software state inconsistency. When switching to host mode via sysfs: echo host > /sys/class/usb_role/13180000.usb-role-switch/role The role state is not set to CDNS_ROLE_STATE_ACTIVE due to the error, so cdns_role_stop() skips cleanup because state is still INACTIVE. This violates the DRD controller design specification (Figure22), which requires returning to idle state before switching roles. This leads to a synchronous external abort in xhci_gen_setup() when setting up the host controller: [ 516.440698] configfs-gadget 13180000.usb: failed to start g1: -19 [ 516.442035] cdns-usb3 13180000.usb: Failed to add gadget [ 516.443278] cdns-usb3 13180000.usb: set role 2 has failed ... • Apr 30, 2026Five Star Restaurant Reservations: A payment bypassCVE-2026-6498 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3

The Five Star Restaurant Reservations plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a payment bypass via PHP type juggling in versions up to, and including, 2.7.16 This is due to the valid_payment() function using a PHP loose comparison (==) between the attacker-controlled payment_id POST parameter and the booking's stripe_payment_intent_id property. When an unauthenticated attacker submits a request to the nopriv AJAX handler rtb_stripe_pmt_succeed before the Stripe payment intent has been created for a booking (i.e., before the JavaScript-triggered create_stripe_pmtIntnt() call has stored an intent ID in post meta), the stripe_payment_intent_id property on the booking object remains null. The comparison sanitize_text_field('') == null evaluates to TRUE in PHP loose comparison, causing the payment verification check to pass with zero actual payment. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to mark any existing payment_pending booking as paid without completing a Stripe payment by submitting an empty payment_id parameter.
