  • Oct 9, 2026A flaw was found in libhangul.CVE-2026-108063 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in libhangul. When parsing Hanja dictionary files, the library fails to verify that an entry contains a valid value alongside its key. By providing a specially crafted dictionary file to an application that queries it, an attacker can trigger an unexpected application crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).

  • Oct 8, 2026A flaw was found in Eye of GNOME (eog).CVE-2026-107651 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in Eye of GNOME (eog). A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the PNG metadata reader due to improper state handling when parsing split metadata chunks. A remote attacker could exploit this flaw by enticing a user into opening a specially crafted PNG file, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a Denial of Service (DoS) via application crash.

  • Oct 8, 2026A flaw was found in luksmeta.CVE-2026-107565 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.1

A flaw was found in luksmeta. A local attacker with administrative privileges can cause data corruption when saving metadata to a Linux Unified Key Setup (LUKS) device. Due to incorrect boundary calculations and flawed overlap detection, new metadata entries can be written beyond available free space or over existing records. This issue can corrupt stored encrypted payload data or existing metadata, potentially rendering the affected data inaccessible.

  • Oct 8, 2026A flaw was found in flatpak-builder.CVE-2026-107466 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.1

A flaw was found in flatpak-builder. This vulnerability allows an attacker to cause information disclosure by convincing a user or continuous integration (CI) system to process a crafted build manifest. By specifying local file Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) within source download definitions, the builder bypasses directory confinement checks. As a result, sensitive host files accessible to the build process can be read and incorporated into the build artifacts.

Vault and Vault Enterprise did not consistently evaluate ACL policies against the canonical form of resource and policy names. This may allow an authenticated user with delegated permissions to bypass an explicit deny restriction and access a protected resource or assign a denied policy, potentially leading to privilege escalation. This vulnerability (CVE-2026-89322) is fixed in Vault Community Edition 2.1.2, and Vault Enterprise 2.1.2, 1.21.12, 1.20.17, and 1.19.23.

Vault's ACL policy cache allowed namespace traversal when policy names contained path traversal constructs. This may allow a token assigned specially crafted policy names to use the capabilities of policies defined in other namespaces, including the root namespace. This vulnerability (CVE-2026-105820) is fixed in Vault Enterprise 2.1.2, 1.21.12, 1.20.17, and 1.19.23. Vault Community Edition does not support namespaces, and is not affected.

The vulnerability is possible because the affected collections allow unrestricted write access instead of limiting writes to authorized Splunk Secure Gateway workflows. In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.3, 10.2.7, and 10.0.10, a user that holds a role with the read_o11y_content capability could inject forged entries into the app log through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk App for Splunk O11y Cloud does not neutralize user-supplied SignalFlow content before writing it to the app log. Splunk Enterprise versions 9.4.x are not affected.

The vulnerability is possible because the Linux package maintainer script trusts existing Splunk Enterprise installation content when it performs upgrade operations with root privileges. The vulnerability requires an affected Linux package upgrade to occur after the local user modifies the installation. The local user should not be able to elevate privileges at will.

  • Oct 7, 2026A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in Cyrus SASL.CVE-2026-107161 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5

A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in Cyrus SASL. The add_to_challenge() function in the DIGEST-MD5 plugin computes the size of the buffer needed for a challenge/response field before DIGEST-MD5 quoting is applied, but does not recompute that size when quoting (escaping special characters) makes the value longer. The under-sized buffer is then passed to strcat(), causing a heap-based out-of-bounds write whose size depends on attacker-controlled input. A malicious or on-path DIGEST-MD5 (or HTTP Digest) server can trigger this flaw in a connecting client by supplying a crafted challenge field, such as realm or nonce, most likely resulting in a crash of the client application.

A flaw was found in m17n-lib. A user providing specially crafted text input can trigger a heap use-after-free condition during input-method state transitions. Under specific conditions, the library frees an internal input context object but subsequently attempts to write to that freed memory. This issue can cause applications relying on the library to crash, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS), or potentially allow arbitrary code execution.

  • Oct 6, 2026A flaw was found in GIMP’s X cursor (XMC) thumbnail loader.CVE-2026-106061 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in GIMP’s X cursor (XMC) thumbnail loader. When GIMP generates a thumbnail for a crafted XMC file, it allocates a pixel buffer using a width * height size computed in 32-bit signed arithmetic. If that product overflows, the allocation is smaller than the true image extent. A subsequent GEGL buffer read uses the unwrapped dimensions and performs an out-of-bounds read on the heap, after integer overflow in the size calculation. This can crash GIMP or corrupt process memory.

A flaw was found in `sssd-kcm`. A local user or process able to connect to the `sssd-kcm` UNIX socket can exploit this vulnerability. • Oct 6, 2026A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s DirectDraw Surface (DDS) loader.CVE-2026-106062 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.8

A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s DirectDraw Surface (DDS) loader. When loading a crafted DDS image, buffer sizes derived from width, height, and pitch can be computed using 32-bit arithmetic that overflows. The allocated buffer is too small for the amount of pixel data written through GEGL, following integer overflow in size calculations. This may allow heap corruption and, in the worst case, arbitrary code execution in the context of the GIMP process.

A flaw was found in SSSD (System Security Services Daemon). When Identity Provider (IdP) authentication is enabled, pre-authentication requests retain state in memory without being cleared or timed out. • Oct 6, 2026A flaw was found in Ghostscript.CVE-2026-101258 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.8

A flaw was found in Ghostscript. When Ghostscript renders a crafted PostScript or EPS document, it can bypass the -dSAFER sandbox and execute arbitrary shell commands in the context of the Ghostscript process. The issue chains memory corruption in document parsing with disabling of internal path access controls at runtime. An attacker can deliver the document directly or through formats that delegate rendering to Ghostscript (for example EPS import or print conversion workflows). Successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data accessible to the process running Ghostscript.
