  • Aug 25, 2026ShopEngine Elementor WooCommerce Builder Addon – All in One WooCommerce Solution: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-75971 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The ShopEngine Elementor WooCommerce Builder Addon – All in One WooCommerce Solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.9.4. This is due to the `rum_importer()` function being registered on the WordPress core `import_start` action hook with no plugin-owned capability check and no allowlist filtering, causing arbitrary `<wp_option>` name/value pairs parsed from an attacker-supplied WXR import file to be passed directly to `update_option()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Shop Manager-level access and above, to write arbitrary WordPress options — most critically setting `users_can_register` to `1` and `default_role` to `administrator` — enabling open self-registration of Administrator accounts and full site takeover. This is exploitable by Shop Manager-level users because WooCommerce grants that role the `import` capability, allowing it to reach the WordPress Importer flow that fires the `import_start` hook on which `rum_importer()` is registered, contrary to the assumption that the hook is restricted to Administrators.

  • Aug 25, 2026hbs is an Express view engine that wraps Handlebars.CVE-2026-16231 · Other software · hbs · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 8.1

hbs is an Express view engine that wraps Handlebars. Its registerAsyncHelper API bypasses Handlebars' automatic HTML escaping: an async helper returns an opaque placeholder during the first render pass, so the double-brace expression escapes only the placeholder, and after rendering hbs substitutes the placeholder with the raw callback return value without escaping it, across the cached, uncached, and layout render paths. An application that passes attacker-influenced data, for example user-supplied content from a database, into an async helper callback can therefore have arbitrary HTML and JavaScript injected into the server-rendered page, resulting in stored or reflected cross-site scripting. Versions 2.1.0 through 4.2.1 are affected, and the issue is fixed in 4.3.0, which HTML-escapes async helper output. Applications that intentionally emit raw HTML from an async helper can opt in explicitly with hbs.SafeString. Users should upgrade to 4.3.0.

  • Aug 25, 2026FundEngine – Donation and Crowdfunding Platform: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-76063 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The FundEngine – Donation and Crowdfunding Platform plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'wfp_featured_video_url' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The REST endpoint used to submit the video URL has its permission_callback set to __return_true, meaning any authenticated user — including those with Subscriber-level access — can reach the vulnerable code path.

  • Aug 25, 2026FundEngine – Donation and Crowdfunding Platform: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-75930 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The FundEngine – Donation and Crowdfunding Platform plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.1. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to modify arbitrary posts and pages — overwriting title and content, and seizing ownership by supplying an attacker-controlled post_author integer that bypasses wp_kses_post sanitization. The wp_rest nonce required by the handler is trivially obtainable by any logged-in user via /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=rest-nonce and therefore does not constitute an authorization barrier.

  • Aug 21, 2026RaTeX is a KaTeX-compatible math rendering engine written in Rust.CVE-2026-53531 · Other software · erweixin · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

RaTeX is a KaTeX-compatible math rendering engine written in Rust. Prior to version 0.1.11, RaTeX’s recursive-descent parser recurses one (or more) native stack frame per nesting level at `{`, `\left`, `\sqrt{`, `^{`, etc, with no maximum depth limit. A short, ~10 KB input of nested groups overflows the 8 MB main-thread stack and aborts the process. With `panic = "abort"` (`Cargo.toml:48`), and because a Rust stack overflow is always a fatal `SIGABRT` regardless of panic strategy this is an unrecoverable, whole-process denial of service reachable from a single untrusted LaTeX string. Version 0.1.11 fixes the issue.

  • Aug 21, 2026RaTeX is a KaTeX-compatible math rendering engine written in Rust.CVE-2026-53530 · Other software · erweixin · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

RaTeX is a KaTeX-compatible math rendering engine written in Rust. Prior to version 0.1.11, the public parser entrypoint `ratex_parser::parse(&str)` panics on the 9-byte input `\verbéxé` (i.e. `\verb` followed by the non-ASCII delimiter `é`). When handling a `\verb` command, the parser slices the verbatim argument with byte indices (`arg[1..arg.len() - 1]`); if the delimiter character is multibyte UTF-8, index `1` lands inside that character and Rust panics with *“byte index 1 is not a char boundary”*. Because RaTeX’s release profile sets `panic = "abort"` (`Cargo.toml:48`), the panic aborts the entire process — not just the current request/thread — making this a hard denial of service for any service that renders untrusted LaTeX. Version 0.1.11 fixes the issue.

  • Aug 21, 2026Infracost provides cloud cost intelligence for engineers, AI coding agents, and CI/CD.CVE-2026-71494 · Other software · infracost · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

Infracost provides cloud cost intelligence for engineers, AI coding agents, and CI/CD. Prior to 0.10.45, internal/hcl/remote_variables_loader.go and related Terraform Cloud, remote-plan, and Terragrunt registry request paths can attach a configured Terraform Cloud or registry token to a destination hostname derived from untrusted Terraform input without confirming that it is the configured trusted host. When a CI run provides a token while scanning attacker-controlled Terraform, including pull_request_target or a same-repository pull request, an attacker can direct the request to an attacker-controlled host and disclose the token. Standard fork pull_request workflows without secrets are not exposed. This issue is fixed in version 0.10.45.

  • Aug 21, 2026Infracost provides cloud cost intelligence for engineers, AI coding agents, and CI/CD.CVE-2026-71493 · Other software · infracost · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

Infracost provides cloud cost intelligence for engineers, AI coding agents, and CI/CD. Prior to 0.10.45, the readFile, pathExists, isDir, and matchPaths template functions in internal/config/template/parser.go use a lexical filepath.Rel check and a leaf-only os.Lstat check that do not resolve an intermediate directory symlink. A repository can contain a path such as evil/file where evil points outside the checkout, causing os.ReadFile and related operations to follow the symlink and read runner-accessible files. The resulting content is rendered into generated configuration and can be surfaced through the Infracost dashboard or pull request comment, with greater impact in workflows that provide repository secrets. • Aug 20, 2026Capstone is a disassembly framework.CVE-2026-55894 · Other software · capstone-engine · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

Capstone is a disassembly framework. In 6.0.0-Alpha9 and earlier, Capstone's arch/SH/SHDisassembler.c sh_disassemble() function computes an idx value from a raw 16-bit instruction without ensuring it is within the active mode-specific decode[] function-pointer table. An application using CS_ARCH_SH with CS_MODE_SH2A or CS_MODE_SH4A and CS_MODE_SHFPU can pass crafted bytecode through cs_disasm_iter() or cs_disasm(), causing the decode[idx] test to read outside the table and terminate the process with a segmentation fault. • Aug 20, 2026Capstone is a disassembly framework.CVE-2026-55893 · Other software · capstone-engine · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3

Capstone is a disassembly framework. In 6.0.0-Alpha9 and earlier, Capstone's arch/SH/SHDisassembler.c SH floating-point decoders such as opFADD, opFMUL, and opFSUB call set_reg() and set_reg_n() using sh_info.op.op_count without checking the fixed-size operands[] array. Repeated crafted instructions processed through cs_disasm_iter() or cs_disasm() with CS_ARCH_SH, CS_MODE_SH2A or CS_MODE_SH4A, CS_MODE_SHFPU, and CS_OPT_DETAIL can increment the operand count beyond the 176-byte sh_info allocation and perform a four-byte heap buffer overflow write. In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Automation Engineer" Splunk SOAR role could run arbitrary Structured Query Language (SQL) statements against the Splunk SOAR database through custom function results, allowing for reading all relevant data stored in the Splunk SOAR database and affecting system integrity. The SQL injection is possible because Splunk SOAR builds the database lookup with the supplied name instead of a bound SQL value. For more information see Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (Cloud) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-cloud/administer-soar-cloud/manage-your-splunk-soar-cloud-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-cloud) in the Splunk documentation.

  • Aug 19, 2026A flaw was found in mce-operator-bundle.CVE-2026-75569 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.7

A flaw was found in mce-operator-bundle. The build process fetches and executes scripts from a remote repository without performing integrity checks, such as commit pinning or signature verification. This allows a malicious actor with write access to the remote repository to inject and execute arbitrary code during the build. The consequence is a compromised build process, potentially leading to the distribution of malicious software.

  • Aug 19, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-69222 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. Prior to 10.27.2, the join filter in src/filters/array.ts computes complexity from array.length and separator length instead of the total string length produced by array.join(sep). The concat filter can cheaply double arrays of references, after which join materializes the referenced content while charging only for element count, allowing a template to exceed a configured memoryLimit by a large factor. The sibling array_to_sentence_string filter in src/filters/string.ts has the same accounting defect, and a crafted template can allocate toward V8's string or process memory limit and crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 10.27.2.

LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. From 10.26.0 until 10.27.1, the strip_html filter in src/filters/html.ts can enter an infinite loop when an input string contains <, includes at least one preceding character, and has no later >. In strip_html, the search for the next opener advances lt while the loop index remains unchanged when the closer search returns -1, and the equality-only stall guard does not exit because the loop index is less than lt. Reprocessing the same state indefinitely blocks template rendering and can cause denial of service with an input as short as a<. This issue is fixed in version 10.27.1.

  • Aug 19, 2026A flaw was found in the `cluster-proxy-addon` component of Multicluster Engine for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-66794 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9.3

A flaw was found in the `cluster-proxy-addon` component of Multicluster Engine for Kubernetes. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker, who can access the user-facing route, to bypass authentication and authorization checks. By manipulating URL path segments, the attacker can proxy requests to arbitrary services across any managed cluster. This enables unauthorized access to internal services that would otherwise be protected, potentially leading to information disclosure or further compromise of the cluster environment.

  • Aug 19, 2026ArcadeDB before 26.8.1 (arcadedb-gremlin, affected <= 26.7.3) contains a remote code execution vulnerability in its Gremlin query engine.CVE-2026-76224 · Other software · ArcadeData · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

ArcadeDB before 26.8.1 (arcadedb-gremlin, affected <= 26.7.3) contains a remote code execution vulnerability in its Gremlin query engine. Although the engine defaults to the documented-secure java (gremlin-lang) engine, ArcadeGremlin.executeStatement() silently falls back to the insecure Groovy engine whenever a request carries any query parameter and the query does not parse as gremlin-lang. An authenticated user with any database role, including a read-only reader, can submit a parameterized Gremlin query to trigger the Groovy fallback and execute arbitrary operating system commands as the ArcadeDB server process user.
