netbox-docker before 2.5.0 has a superuser account with default credentials (admin password for the admin account, and 0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef01234567 value for SUPERUSER_API_TOKEN). In practice on the public Internet, almost all users changed the password but only about 90% changed the token. Having a default token value was intentional and was valuable for the main intended use case of the netbox-docker product (isolated development networks). Some users engaged in an effort to repurpose netbox-docker for production. The documentation for this effort stated that the defaults must not be used. However, installation did not ensure non-default values. The Supplier was aware of the CVE ID assignment and did not object to the assignment.

  • Mar 5, 2026Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in hexpm hexpm/hexpm ('Elixir.Hexpm.Accounts.PasswordReset' module) allows Account Takeover.CVE-2026-21622 · Other software · hexpm · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbCritical 9.5

Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in hexpm hexpm/hexpm ('Elixir.Hexpm.Accounts.PasswordReset' module) allows Account Takeover. Password reset tokens generated via the "Reset your password" flow do not expire. When a user requests a password reset, Hex sends an email containing a reset link with a token. This token remains valid indefinitely until used. There is no time-based expiration enforced. If a user's historical emails are exposed through a data breach (e.g., a leaked mailbox archive), any unused password reset email contained in that dataset could be used by an attacker to reset the victim's password. The attacker does not need current access to the victim's email account, only access to a previously leaked copy of the reset email. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/hexpm/accounts/password_reset.ex and program routines 'Elixir.Hexpm.Accounts.PasswordReset':can_reset?/3. Use of Password Hash With Insufficient Computational Effort, Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts vulnerability in rustdesk-client RustDesk Client rustdesk-client on Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android (Client login, peer authentication modules) allows Password Brute Forcing. The authentication proof is SHA256(SHA256(password + salt) + challenge), where both the salt and the challenge are generated entirely by the server with no client-side nonce, and the hash uses no slow key-derivation function. A rogue or on-path API/relay server (see CVE-2026-30794 / CVE-2026-30797) can issue a chosen salt and challenge, capture the resulting proof, and recover the password offline. The capture-replay claim (CWE-294) is withdrawn: the challenge is regenerated per connection (challenge = Config::get_auto_password(6)), so a captured proof is not replayable against the legitimate server. The 1.4.7 OTP brute-force limiter and the existing LOGIN_FAILURES counter constrain only ONLINE attempts and do not address offline recovery. This vulnerability is associated with program files src/client.rs and program routines handle_hash(), handle_login_from_ui() (login proof construction

  • Feb 25, 2026The Terraform Provider for Linode versions prior to v3.9.0 logged sensitive information including some passwords, StackScript content, and object storage data iCVE-2026-27900 · Other software · linode · reported by GitHubMedium 5

The Terraform Provider for Linode versions prior to v3.9.0 logged sensitive information including some passwords, StackScript content, and object storage data in debug logs without redaction. Provider debug logging is not enabled by default. This issue is exposed when debug/provider logs are explicitly enabled (for example in local troubleshooting, CI/CD jobs, or centralized log collection). If enabled, sensitive values may be written to logs and then retained, shared, or exported beyond the original execution environment. An authenticated user with access to provider debug logs (through log aggregation systems, CI/CD pipelines, or debug output) would thus be able to extract these sensitive credentials. Versions 3.9.0 and later sanitize debug logs by logging only non-sensitive metadata such as labels, regions, and resource IDs while redacting credentials, tokens, keys, scripts, and other sensitive content. Some other mitigations and workarounds are available. Disable Terraform/provider debug logging or set it to `WARN` level or above, restrict access to existing and historical logs, purge/retention-trim logs that may contain sensitive values, and/or rotate potentially exposed secre

  • Feb 24, 2026EventSentry versions prior to 6.0.1.20 contain an unverified password change vulnerability in the account management functionality of the Web Reports interface.CVE-2026-24443 · Other software · NETIKUS.NET ltd · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.6

EventSentry versions prior to 6.0.1.20 contain an unverified password change vulnerability in the account management functionality of the Web Reports interface. The password change mechanism does not require validation of the current password before allowing a new password to be set. An attacker who gains temporary access to an authenticated user session can change the account password without knowledge of the original credentials. This enables persistent account takeover and, if administrative accounts are affected, may result in privilege escalation.
