  • Sep 22, 2026radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset.CVE-2026-81881 · Other software · radareorg · reported by GitHubLow 3.3

    radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's Mach-O Swift field-metadata parser was vulnerable because a relative Swift field pointer could be lower than the field-metadata section base, making subtraction produce a negative logical index. The vulnerability is triggered by parsing Swift type and class metadata from a crafted Mach-O file. The derived index was used to read four bytes immediately before the allocated field-metadata buffer. This can cause incorrect metadata processing or process termination; no attacker-observable memory disclosure has been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0.

  • Sep 22, 2026radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset.CVE-2026-81880 · Other software · radareorg · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

    radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's Apple Preferred Executable Format loader was vulnerable because the PEF loader accepted relocSecCount values that were not bounded by the number of sections or complete relocation records in the input. The vulnerability is triggered by normal binary-format auto-detection of a small crafted Apple PEF file. The loader could perform up to 268,435,456 relocation-section iterations and repeated buffer operations after record offsets passed the end of the file. This can cause denial of service through excessive CPU consumption and prolonged processing. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0.

  • Sep 22, 2026radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset.CVE-2026-81879 · Other software · radareorg · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

    radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's ELF PN_XNUM handling was vulnerable because the ELF parser allocated the program-header array using the resolved PN_XNUM count but several consumers still iterated with the original e_phnum value of 65535. The vulnerability is triggered by processing a crafted ELF file with e_phnum = 0xffff and a much smaller resolved count in shdr[0].sh_info. Consumers iterated beyond the allocated program-header array. This can cause a heap out-of-bounds read and process termination, resulting in denial of service; memory disclosure and code execution have not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0.

    radare2 is a UNIX-like reverse engineering framework and command-line toolset. Prior to 6.2.0, radare2's CPython bytecode .pyc marshal parser was vulnerable because the CPython marshal readers accepted a 32-bit string length without rejecting values that overflow the size-plus-one allocation. The vulnerability is triggered by opening or inspecting a crafted .pyc file through r2 or rabin2. A length of 0xffffffff wrapped the allocation to zero before the common byte reader wrote attacker-controlled data and fill bytes beyond the heap allocation. This can cause heap memory corruption and denial of service; arbitrary code execution is possible but has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.0.

    LibreOffice converts CFF fonts to Type 1 when it subsets a font, which happens when a document is exported to PDF, and CFF fonts may be embedded in documents. A stack buffer overflow existed in that conversion. The converted operators were written into a fixed size buffer with no check that they still fit, so a glyph emitting many operators wrote past the end of the buffer. In fixed versions the remaining capacity is tracked and the conversion stops when it is used up.

  • Sep 21, 2026The experimental USB host stack allocates a per-device configuration-descriptor buffer, udev->cfg_desc, from the dedicated usb_device_heap in usbh_device_set_coCVE-2026-17050 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.7

    The experimental USB host stack allocates a per-device configuration-descriptor buffer, udev->cfg_desc, from the dedicated usb_device_heap in usbh_device_set_configuration() (subsys/usb/host/usbh_device.c). On three failure paths — a failed full-length GET_DESCRIPTOR(CONFIGURATION) read, a mismatch between the short and full descriptor reads, and a rejected descriptor in parse_configuration_descriptor() — the buffer was released with k_heap_free() but the pointer was left dangling. The cleanup in usbh_device_free() is guarded only by if (udev->cfg_desc != NULL), so it frees the same block a second time. The path is driven entirely by the attached peripheral: usbh_device_connect() calls usbh_device_init(), which ends in usbh_device_set_configuration(), and on failure usbh_device_connect() calls usbh_device_free(). On v4.4.x this happens during the same enumeration, with no unplug required; on v4.1.0–v4.3.x the second free instead arrives via dev_removed_handler()/dev_connected_handler() in subsys/usb/host/usbh_core.c, so it requires a removal or duplicate-connect event after the failed enumeration — a sequence the attached device fully controls. • Sep 21, 2026Mailu is a mail server distributed as a set of Docker images.CVE-2026-85751 · Other software · Mailu · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

    Mailu is a mail server distributed as a set of Docker images. From Mailu 2.0 until 2024.06.55 and prior to Mailu helm-charts 2.7.3, deployments with PROXY_AUTH_WHITELIST configured but REAL_IP_HEADER unset trusted a client-controlled X-Forwarded-By header for header-based proxy authentication. The proxy_hide_header directive in the nginx template at core/nginx/conf/proxy.conf hid the header from upstream responses but did not overwrite the incoming request value in this configuration. An unauthenticated remote attacker could therefore spoof the trusted proxy identity and bypass authentication. This issue is fixed in Mailu 2024.06.55 and Mailu helm-charts 2.7.3.

    Apache Airflow's `/assets/events` API returned asset events for every Dag in the deployment, with no filter restricting them to the Dags the caller is authorized to read. Any authenticated user holding asset-read access could therefore enumerate asset events — including the source Dag ID, task ID, run ID and event timestamps — for Dags they have no permission to see. Because the filter was also absent from the count query, `total_entries` and pagination disclosed the existence of hidden Dags even without inspecting individual rows. Deployments are affected whenever per-Dag access control is used to separate teams or tenants; no special configuration is required. Upgrade to apache-airflow 3.3.2 or later.

    UrlUtil.getBaseUrl builds the absolute URLs in a response — download links, icons, asset and API URLs — from the X-Forwarded-Host, X-Forwarded-Proto and X-Forwarded-Prefix request headers, with no check on whether the sender was a trusted proxy, falling back to the client-supplied Host header. Those responses are cached under keys that do not include the host (extension.json since 0.6.0, namespace.details.json since 0.9.0, sitemap since 0.14.5, latest.extension.version.vscode since 0.34.2). A single request carrying a forged header therefore places attacker-chosen URLs into an entry served to every other client for the lifetime of that entry — one hour by default, and cluster-wide where ovsx.redis.enabled is set. The VSIX download URL, its signature URL and the public key URL are all derived from the same base URL, so extension signing does not limit the impact: an attacker who poisons an entry supplies the

  • Sep 18, 2026OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation.CVE-2026-67549 · Other software · AcademySoftwareFoundation · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6

    OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.1.16.0, A crafted 1-bit contiguous cmyk tiff is exposed through a native uint1 imagespec, so callers allocate a bit-packed buffer. tiffinput::read_native_scanline_locked() nevertheless invokes tiffinput::bit_convert() with 8-bit output and writes one expanded byte per value into that smaller buffer, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds write and memory corruption. The affected implementation is identified by src/tiff.imageio/tiffinput.cpp, TIFFInput::bit_convert(), TIFFInput::read_native_scanline_locked(), PHOTOMETRIC_SEPARATED, 1-bit CMYK, and native uint1 ImageSpec, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.1.16.0, a crafted ZIP-compressed TIFF processed with TIFF multithreading enabled can make TIFFInput::read_native_scanlines() return through an error path while asynchronous strip-decompression work remains queued. Because task_set is declared before ok and compressed_scratch, those captured objects are destroyed before the task-set destructor waits, allowing worker tasks to use stale stack and heap storage, resulting in a use-after-scope crash and denial of service. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A crafted cineon image can declare unsupported component bit depth 26. cineoninput::open() maps it to a 32-bit imagespec, but libcineon maps the unsupported depth to an 8-byte value, so cineoninput::read_native_scanline() causes attacker-controlled data to be written beyond the 4-byte-per-pixel caller buffer, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds write and memory corruption. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A valid tiled openexr image whose width is not a multiple of its tile width can trigger an overflow when a caller reads a partial edge-tile rectangle. openexrinput::read_native_tiles() copies each row into the caller buffer using the padded whole-tile scanline_stride rather than user_scanline_bytes for the requested rectangle, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds write and memory corruption. The affected implementation is identified by src/openexr.imageio/exrinput.cpp, OpenEXRInput::read_native_tiles(), partial edge tile, user_scanline_bytes, and scanline_stride, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1.

    OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, An indexed psd with transparency metadata creates fewer stored channel_buffers than the spec.nchannels value advertised by the rawcolor path. when oiio:rawcolor or psd:rawdata is enabled, psdinput::read_native_scanline() passes spec.nchannels to psdinput::interleave_row(), which indexes beyond channel_buffers, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds read and process crash. The affected implementation is identified by src/psd.imageio/psdinput.cpp, PSDInput::read_native_scanline(), PSDInput::interleave_row(), oiio:RawColor, psd:RawData, channel_buffers, and spec.nchannels, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A zbuffer-only tiled iff is exposed with a 16-bit public imagespec while the decoder retains a 32-bit internal pixel size. iffinput::read_native_tile() copies according to m_header.pixel_bytes() rather than imagespec::tile_bytes(true), and a failed read can leave m_buf nonempty so a later call copies partially initialized data into the undersized caller buffer, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds write and memory corruption. The affected implementation is identified by src/iff.imageio/iffinput.cpp, IffInput::read_native_tile(), ImageSpec::tile_bytes(true), m_header.pixel_bytes(), ZBUFFER, and m_buf, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. Prior to 3.0.20.0, 3.1.15.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, An uncompressed 16-bit iff image with a z-buffer makes iffinput::readimg() allocate a temporary scanline from m_header.rgba_count but copy from it using m_header.pixel_bytes(), whose stride also includes z-buffer bytes. the oversized memcpy reads beyond the temporary heap buffer and copies adjacent memory into the output image, resulting in a crash or disclosure of adjacent heap data. vm2 through 3.12.0 exposes Node.js's crypto.setFips() function to untrusted guest code when an embedder explicitly allowlists the crypto builtin for a NodeVM (require.builtin: ['crypto']). The builtin sanitizer (sanitizeCryptoModule in lib/builtin.js) replaces crypto.setEngine but leaves crypto.setFips callable, and the readonly wrapper used to expose the host module does not localize side effects of forwarded host functions. Guest code can therefore call crypto.setFips() to change the FIPS mode of the entire host process; the modified mode is subsequently observed by trusted host code (crypto.getFips() changed from 0 to 1 in the reported test), crossing the NodeVM isolation boundary. Fixed in vm2 3.12.1.

  • Sep 18, 2026Apache Airflow's asset queued-events DELETE endpoints checked the caller's Dag-axis permission with `READ` instead of `EDIT`.CVE-2026-75157 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

    Apache Airflow's asset queued-events DELETE endpoints checked the caller's Dag-axis permission with `READ` instead of `EDIT`. Any authenticated user who could read a Dag could therefore delete that Dag's queued asset events, silently suppressing asset-triggered scheduling for it — a state-changing action gated on a read-only permission. Deployments are affected whenever asset-triggered scheduling is in use and Dag read access is granted more widely than Dag edit access, which is the normal RBAC arrangement; no special configuration is required. Upgrade to apache-airflow 3.3.2 or later.

  • Sep 17, 2026Imager versions from 0.45_02 before 1.035 for Perl read outside the EXIF block via unchecked start offsets in tiff_load_ifd.CVE-2026-73638 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 6.2

    Imager versions from 0.45_02 before 1.035 for Perl read outside the EXIF block via unchecked start offsets in tiff_load_ifd. tiff_load_ifd() validates an IFD entry's data by checking that `entry->offset + entry->size` stays within the EXIF block, and never checks the start offset itself. Where that sum is not the real end of the data, the check passes with the entry starting outside the block. Through 1.032 `entry->offset` is a plain int, so on the usual two's-complement implementations an offset with the high bit set converts to negative and the sum can land back inside the block. From 1.033 the field is a size_t and the addition wraps only where size_t is 32 bits. The IFD's own start offset is checked the same way and wraps where unsigned long is 32 bits, which includes 64-bit Windows. Any caller of Imager->read() on an attacker-supplied image may receive EXIF tags holding bytes from outside the block, or crash the process.
