  • Oct 13, 2026The authorization middleware of the WMS MobileServer fails to require authentication in two distinct cases.CVE-2026-89309 · Other software · JTL SW GmbH · reported by a6d3dc9e-0591-4a13-bce7-0f5b31ff6158Critical 10

The authorization middleware of the WMS MobileServer fails to require authentication in two distinct cases. First, it only requires an Authorization header for GET and HEAD requests; requests using any other HTTP method are processed without an authentication check. Second, for any HTTP method including GET and HEAD, a request carrying a malformed or non-bearer Authorization header is passed through without a valid token being required. The middleware does validate a token whenever a well-formed one is present, but in these two cases it does not require one. A remote attacker with network access to the service can therefore invoke API functionality without valid credentials.

IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 can allow a man-in-the-middle attacker to present a forged TLS certificate, intercept the connection, and capture the IAM bearer Authorization header automatically attached by the session adapter. The captured token grants full platform-scope tenant API access, enabling the attacker to read and manipulate the victim's DataStage projects, flows, assets, and pipeline definitions. This is client-side SDK code running on the user's own machine, so exploitation requires an external network interceptor rather than a co-tenant in the shared cluster.

Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in hexpm hex_core allows an untrusted repository mirror, or a server answering hex_core's API requests, to exhaust the memory of the Erlang VM running hex_core. The same code is vendored in Hex (mix_hex_repo, mix_hex_api) and rebar3 (r3_hex_repo, r3_hex_api). hex_repo:get_names/1, hex_repo:get_versions/1, hex_repo:get_package/2 and hex_repo:get_policy/2 decompress the registry response with zlib:gunzip/1 and decode the signed envelope before verifying its signature. A mirror doesn't have the repository's private key, but it chooses the compressed bytes, so a small response decompresses into an envelope of any size before the signature check rejects it. hex_api decodes responses with the application/vnd.hex+erlang content type through hex_safe_binary_to_term:safe_binary_to_term/1, which calls binary_to_term(Binary, [safe]). The safe option prevents atom creation, but it accepts compressed terms and doesn't limit the size of the decoded term, and the check that rejects functions and ports runs after the term has been built. The fix for CVE-2026-21619 added the safe option and that check without bounding

Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in hexpm hex allows an untrusted package mirror to exhaust the memory or disk space of the machine running mix deps.get, mix deps.update, mix hex.package fetch or mix hex.docs fetch. Hex treats a mirror configured with HEX_MIRROR_URL, HEX_MIRROR or mirror_url as untrusted: it doesn't send credentials to it, and it checks registry signatures and package checksums that the mirror can't forge. Several response paths consume memory or disk in proportion to what the mirror sends before any of those checks run. Hex.HTTP.request/5 reads the whole response body into memory and decompresses it with :zlib.gunzip/1 whenever the response's Content-Encoding contains gzip, with no limit on the compressed or decompressed size. Hex doesn't ask for compressed responses, so the server decides whether this step runs. It applies to registry, package, docs and API responses. Package tarballs have no download size limit. Hex 2.5.1 holds the whole tarball in memory and writes it to the cache, and the development branch streams it to a temporary file; the 16 MiB tarball limit is checked only when the file is unpacked. • Oct 12, 2026Thelia 2.6.1 contains an absolute path traversal vulnerability in its Smarty template handling that enables SSTI and remote code execution.CVE-2026-103537 · Other software · Thelia · reported by cret@cert.orgMedium 5.4

Thelia 2.6.1 contains an absolute path traversal vulnerability in its Smarty template handling that enables SSTI and remote code execution. The `checkTemplate()` validation restricts relative directory traversal sequences such as `../` but does not reject absolute paths, allowing an authorized user to supply an arbitrary filesystem path as a template. Smarty then loads and compiles the referenced file without an effective security policy, so depending on filesystem layout and deployment configuration, template code in the file can be executed with the web server's privileges.

  • Oct 12, 2026A path traversal vulnerability in the OTRS SendSupportBundle functionality allows an authenticated administrator to reference file paths outside the intended diCVE-2026-78355 · Other software · OTRS GmbH (former OTRS AG) · reported by security@otrs.comHigh 8.7

A path traversal vulnerability in the OTRS SendSupportBundle functionality allows an authenticated administrator to reference file paths outside the intended directory. This may allow files accessible to the OTRS application process to be deleted. The vulnerability does not bypass operating system file permissions. On OTRS versions prior to OTRS 7, the effective permissions of the web server process are relevant. Starting with OTRS 7, access is limited by the permissions of the dedicated OTRS user. Files with overly permissive ownership or file system permissions may therefore also be affected. The affected functionality may additionally attempt to include controlled files in a support bundle. However, support bundles are sent to a predefined OTRS support address, and direct disclosure of arbitrary files to the attacker has not been demonstrated. An attacker therefore requires valid administrative access to exploit the vulnerable functionality. The primary demonstrated impact is the deletion of files outside the intended directory within the effective permissions of the OTRS application process. This issue affects OTRS: * 7.0.X * 8.0.X * 2023.X * 2024.X * 2025.X

  • Oct 12, 2026An **incorrect authorization** flaw has been found in **network interface handling** in the **Foreman** package.CVE-2026-107203 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.4

An **incorrect authorization** flaw has been found in **network interface handling** in the **Foreman** package. The domain and subnet interface API checks only that the caller holds a host permission. It does not apply the search limit on that permission, so the request is answered from every interface on the domain or subnet. A low-privileged network attacker or user must already be allowed to view some hosts and to view a domain or subnet shared with other hosts. They can request that domain or subnet's interfaces. The response includes interface records of hosts they are not allowed to view. If the attacker or user is also allowed to edit some hosts, they can submit a change to one of those interfaces. The interface is then saved with that change.

The user-mode syscall verifiers z_vrfy_fuel_gauge_get_props() and z_vrfy_fuel_gauge_set_props() in drivers/fuel_gauge/fuel_gauge_syscall_handlers.c declared two variable-length arrays, union fuel_gauge_prop_val k_vals[len] and fuel_gauge_prop_t k_props[len], sized directly by the caller-supplied len argument. len is an unvalidated size_t taken straight from the syscall ABI, and the VLAs were allocated before any check at all — including before the K_SYSCALL_DRIVER_FUEL_GAUGE() object-permission check. The subsequent k_usermode_from_copy() calls validated only that the user source buffer was readable; the kernel destination was never bounds-checked, since it was sized by the same attacker-chosen len. Any thread running in user mode with CONFIG_USERSPACE enabled can invoke fuel_gauge_get_props() or fuel_gauge_set_props() with a large len. This first displaces the supervisor stack pointer by an arbitrary attacker-chosen amount — Zephyr does not build with stack-clash probing, so the displacement itself does not fault, and the nested calls made by the verifier then write frames below the privileged stack. If the caller has been granted access to a fuel-gauge device object, the memcpy
