Apr 24, 2025YoutubeDLSharp is a wrapper for the command-line video downloaders youtube-dl and yt-dlp.CVE-2025-43858 · Other software · Bluegrams · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2
YoutubeDLSharp is a wrapper for the command-line video downloaders youtube-dl and yt-dlp. In versions starting from 1.0.0-beta4 and prior to 1.1.2, an unsafe conversion of arguments allows the injection of a malicious commands when starting `yt-dlp` from a commands prompt running on Windows OS with the `UseWindowsEncodingWorkaround` value defined to true (default behavior). If a user is using built-in methods from the YoutubeDL.cs file, the value is true by default and a user cannot disable it from these methods. This issue has been patched in version 1.1.2.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix possible deadlock in rfcomm_sk_state_change syzbot reports a possible deadlock in rfcomm_sk_state_change [1]. While rfcomm_sock_connect acquires the sk lock and waits for the rfcomm lock, rfcomm_sock_release could have the rfcomm lock and hit a deadlock for acquiring the sk lock. Here's a simplified flow: rfcomm_sock_connect: lock_sock(sk) rfcomm_dlc_open: rfcomm_lock() rfcomm_sock_release: rfcomm_sock_shutdown: rfcomm_lock() __rfcomm_dlc_close: rfcomm_k_state_change: lock_sock(sk) This patch drops the sk lock before calling rfcomm_dlc_open to avoid the possible deadlock and holds sk's reference count to prevent use-after-free after rfcomm_dlc_open completes.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: mediatek: Add locks for usb_driver_claim_interface() The documentation for usb_driver_claim_interface() says that "the device lock" is needed when the function is called from places other than probe(). This appears to be the lock for the USB interface device. The Mediatek btusb code gets called via this path: Workqueue: hci0 hci_power_on [bluetooth] Call trace: usb_driver_claim_interface btusb_mtk_claim_iso_intf btusb_mtk_setup hci_dev_open_sync hci_power_on process_scheduled_works worker_thread kthread With the above call trace the device lock hasn't been claimed. Claim it. Without this fix, we'd sometimes see the error "Failed to claim iso interface". Sometimes we'd even see worse errors, like a NULL pointer dereference (where `intf->dev.driver` was NULL) with a trace like: Call trace: usb_suspend_both usb_runtime_suspend __rpm_callback rpm_suspend pm_runtime_work process_scheduled_works Both errors appear to be fixed with the proper locking.

Feb 26, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: handle NULL sock pointer in l2cap_sock_alloc A NULL sock pointer is passCVE-2024-58009 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: handle NULL sock pointer in l2cap_sock_alloc A NULL sock pointer is passed into l2cap_sock_alloc() when it is called from l2cap_sock_new_connection_cb() and the error handling paths should also be aware of it. Seemingly a more elegant solution would be to swap bt_sock_alloc() and l2cap_chan_create() calls since they are not interdependent to that moment but then l2cap_chan_create() adds the soon to be deallocated and still dummy-initialized channel to the global list accessible by many L2CAP paths. The channel would be removed from the list in short period of time but be a bit more straight-forward here and just check for NULL instead of changing the order of function calls. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE static analysis tool.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_qca: Use del_timer_sync() before freeing While looking at a crash report on a timer list being corrupted, which usually happens when a timer is freed while still active. This is commonly triggered by code calling del_timer() instead of del_timer_sync() just before freeing. One possible culprit is the hci_qca driver, which does exactly that. Eric mentioned that wake_retrans_timer could be rearmed via the work queue, so also move the destruction of the work queue before del_timer_sync().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: fix dangling sco_conn and use-after-free in sco_sock_timeout Connecting the same socket twice consecutively in sco_sock_connect() could lead to a race condition where two sco_conn objects are created but only one is associated with the socket. If the socket is closed before the SCO connection is established, the timer associated with the dangling sco_conn object won't be canceled. The details are shown as the below: hci_register_dev would run queue_work(hdev->req_workqueue, &hdev->power_on) as WQ_HIGHPRI workqueue_struct to complete the power-on sequeunce and thus hci_power_on may run before sdio_set_drvdata is done in btmtksdio_probe. The hci_dev_do_open in hci_power_on would initialize the device and enable the interrupt and thus it is possible that btmtksdio_interrupt is being called right before sdio_set_drvdata is filled out. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_event: Ignore multiple conn complete events When one of the three connection complete events is received multiple times for the same handle, the device is registered multiple times which leads to memory corruptions. Therefore, consequent events for a single connection are ignored. The conn->state can hold different values, therefore HCI_CONN_HANDLE_UNSET is introduced to identify new connections. To make sure the events do not contain this or another invalid handle HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX and checks are introduced. Buglink: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215497

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
