  • Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: reset write verifier on deferred writeback errors nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd_commit()CVE-2026-53393 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: reset write verifier on deferred writeback errors nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd_commit() both call filemap_check_wb_err() to detect deferred writeback errors, but neither rotates the server's write verifier (nn->writeverf) when this check fails. Every other durable-storage-failure path in these functions calls commit_reset_write_verifier() before returning an error. The missing rotation means clients holding UNSTABLE write data under the current verifier will COMMIT, receive the unchanged verifier back, and conclude their data is durable — silently dropping data that failed writeback. This violates the UNSTABLE+COMMIT durability contract (RFC 1813 §3.3.7, RFC 8881 §18.32). Add commit_reset_write_verifier() calls at both filemap_check_wb_err() error sites, matching the pattern used by adjacent error paths in the same functions. The helper already filters -EAGAIN and -ESTALE internally, so the calls are unconditionally safe.

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.0 Langflow versions up to 1.9.2 (commit 94981c443d4918517b9e8163d70fc598dc33a32d) contain a code injection vulnerability in the Policies component's ToolGuard integration that bypasses the allow_custom_components=false security control. The vulnerability exists because the validation mechanism only checks the main component source code in node_template["code"]["value"] but fails to validate dynamic CodeInput fields that store generated ToolGuard Python files. Attackers can embed malicious Python code in these unvalidated dynamic fields, which are persisted in Flow.data and later executed server-side when a guarded tool is invoked through the ToolGuard runtime. This allows authenticated users with flow creation privileges to achieve arbitrary Python code execution on the backend despite custom component restrictions. The vulnerability can be escalated through cross-tenant flow manipulation via the agentic MCP update_flow_component_field tool, which accepts attacker-controlled user_id parameters, enabling attackers to inject malicious code into victim users' flows. OpENer 2.3.0 (commit 76b95cf) has an out-of-bounds read issue in CIP message parsing when handling malformed explicit requests with a forged EPath size. An attacker can send a valid ENIP SendRRData frame carrying a very short CIP payload whose path_size field claims that many more path words are present than are actually available. EIPStackGroup OpENer 2.3.0 (commit 76b95cf) suffers from an Incorrect Access Control vulnerability in its handling of encapsulation sessions. When the server processes critical encapsulation commands, it verifies whether the provided session_handle exists in the global session list, but it fails to verify whether that handle belongs to the specific TCP connection issuing the request. In OpENer 2.3.0 (commit 76b95cf) when parsing incoming CIP (Common Industrial Protocol) network packets, the length parameter is inconsistently typed across the call stack. Specifically, an upstream length calculated as an int is passed to a downstream function that expects an EipInt16 (a 16-bit signed integer). If a maliciously crafted packet with specific length fields is processed, the length parameter can overflow or be truncated into a negative value. This negative length bypasses subsequent bounds checking (due to signed/unsigned comparison issues) and is ultimately used in memory operations, leading to a Stack Buffer Overflow when reading data in DecodePaddedEPath.

  • Jul 8, 2026rpcx through 1.9.3, fixed in commit 047aec1, contains a denial-of-service vulnerability in protocol.Message.Decode (protocol/message.go).CVE-2026-59803 · Other software · smallnest · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

rpcx through 1.9.3, fixed in commit 047aec1, contains a denial-of-service vulnerability in protocol.Message.Decode (protocol/message.go). When a message has the compression flag set, the payload is gzip-decompressed via util.Unzip with no limit on the decompressed output size. The only built-in size guard, protocol.MaxMessageLength, is checked against the compressed on-the-wire frame length, not the decompressed size, so it provides no protection. Because decoding (and decompression) occurs in readRequest before authentication, a single unauthenticated connection can send a small (under 2 MB) gzip-compressed message that expands to gigabytes of heap allocation, leading to out-of-memory conditions and service unavailability.

AVideo (Meet plugin) through commit e8d6119f3cb1b849149906efeb0a41fc024f59f8 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Meet plugin's getMeetInfo.json.php endpoint. When a participant joins a public meeting, the raw HTTP User-Agent header is stored (meet_join_log.user_agent) without sanitization (bypassing AVideo's setter-level xss_esc() layer) and later echoed without output encoding (no htmlspecialchars()) in the Participants management panel, which is accessible to the meeting host and site administrators. An anonymous, unauthenticated attacker can join any public meeting while supplying a User-Agent header containing an HTML/JavaScript payload; the payload is persisted and executes in the privileged, authenticated browser session of the meeting host or a site administrator when they open the participant list. The issue was unpatched at the time of the report.

GNU Wget through 1.25.0, fixed in commit dd692d9, contains a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the html_quote_string() function in src/convert.c that allows a remote attacker to trigger memory corruption by supplying a crafted HTML attribute with a large number of characters requiring entity encoding. A server-supplied HTML attribute causes a signed integer counter to overflow during output size accumulation, resulting in an undersized heap allocation and subsequent heap buffer overflow during the copy phase.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Fix shadow paging use-after-free due to unexpected role Commit 0cb2af2ea66ad ("KVM: x86: Fix shadow paging use-after-free due to unexpected GFN") fixed a shadow paging mismatch between stored and computed GFNs; the bug could be triggered by changing a PDE mapping from outside the guest, and then deleting a memslot. The rmap_remove() call would miss entries created after the PDE change because the GFN of the leaf SPTE does not match the GFN of the struct kvm_mmu_page. A similar hole however remains if the modified PDE points to a non-leaf page. In this case the gfn can be made to match, but the role does not match: the original large 2MB page creates a kvm_mmu_page with direct=1, while the new 4KB needs a kvm_mmu_page with direct=0. However, kvm_mmu_get_child_sp() does not compare the role, and therefore reuses the page. The next step is installing a leaf (4KB) SPTE on the new path which records an rmap entry under the gfn resolved by the walk. But when that child is zapped its parent kvm_mmu_page has direct=1 and kvm_mmu_page_get_gfn() computes the gfn for the 4KB page as sp->gfn + index instead o

Pathway through 0.31.1, fixed in commit d09722e, document store applies a caller-supplied glob pattern to indexed document paths using a hand-written recursive matcher that branches two ways on each ** token without memoization, giving exponential worst-case complexity. The filepath_globpattern value is taken from the body of the unauthenticated HTTP endpoints /v1/retrieve, /v1/inputs and /v2/answer and compiled into a filter evaluated once per indexed document, with no length or **-count limit. A remote unauthenticated attacker can submit a short pattern containing many ** tokens to consume CPU for tens of seconds per request, and a small number of requests denies service.
