Aug 25, 2026Issue summary: ChaCha20-Poly1305 and AES-OCB decryption with an empty ciphertext can report success without verifying the supplied authentication tag when the oCVE-2026-75803 · Websites & servers · OpenSSL · reported by openssl-security@openssl.orgCritical 9.1
Issue summary: ChaCha20-Poly1305 and AES-OCB decryption with an empty ciphertext can report success without verifying the supplied authentication tag when the operation is finalized by calling the EVP_Cipher() function. Impact summary: Applications calling EVP_Cipher() on an empty ciphertext and expecting the call to check the AEAD tag may accept forged messages. CWE: CWE-354 (Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value) Description: The EVP_Cipher() API call for AEAD ciphers behaves like a one shot encryption and decryption call. It also verifies the AEAD tag after the decryption operation. However for AES-OCB and ChaCha20-Poly1305 ciphers it skipped the AEAD tag verification when an empty ciphertext was passed to the function. The callers of this function might believe that a successful return indicates a valid AEAD tag for these ciphers, even when that has not truly been validated in this case. FIPS impact: no The FIPS modules in 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, and 3.0 are not affected by this CVE as the affected algorithms are not FIPS approved and thus not implemented in the FIPS module.

Aug 24, 2026Baserow interpolates a user's display name into the rich-text mention markup without HTML encoding.CVE-2026-76837 · Other software · Baserow · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3
Baserow interpolates a user's display name into the rich-text mention markup without HTML encoding. PATCH /api/user/account/ stores the first_name value verbatim, and the mention renderer in web-frontend/modules/core/editor/mention.js builds its element with a template literal that places the name into a data-label attribute and the element body unescaped. A name containing a double quote closes that attribute and the opening tag, so following markup lands in the element content. The result is rendered through v-html by the rich-text field components, so any rich-text cell mentioning the account executes the stored script for every workspace member who views the table, without a click. Any workspace member, at the lowest permission level, can set the name and reach every other member of the workspace, and the payload persists until the name is changed or the mentioning row is removed. Version 2.3.0 escapes the value before interpolation.

Aug 24, 2026Hugo's security.http.urls allowlist is the only control on outbound fetches made by resources.GetRemote, and it inspects the URL text alone.CVE-2026-10582 · Other software · gohugoio · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.3
Hugo's security.http.urls allowlist is the only control on outbound fetches made by resources.GetRemote, and it inspects the URL text alone. CheckAllowedHTTPURL in config/security/securityConfig.go applies the configured pattern list and then re-checks a canonicalised form of an integer, hex or octal IPv4 host, but it never resolves the hostname and never inspects the address the HTTP client actually connects to. The client constructed in resources/resource_factories/create/create.go installs no dial-time hook, so no check occurs at connection time either. A hostname that resolves to a loopback, private or cloud-metadata address therefore satisfies the policy, and the response body is embedded in the generated site. An attacker who can supply a URL through content, for example a front-matter field or a CMS field, can make the build fetch an internal endpoint and publish the response in the static output, so the build artifact itself carries the data out.

Aug 23, 2026justhtml before 1.12.0 (versions <= 1.11.0) contains a mutation cross-site scripting (mXSS) vulnerability in the serialization of raw-text elements such as <styCVE-2026-8630 · Other software · EmilStenstrom · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.1
justhtml before 1.12.0 (versions <= 1.11.0) contains a mutation cross-site scripting (mXSS) vulnerability in the serialization of raw-text elements such as <style> and <script>. When a DOM tree is processed by sanitize_dom() using a custom policy that keeps these elements, text nodes inside them are serialized literally without escaping, allowing attacker-controlled text containing the matching closing tag sequence to break out of the raw-text context and inject arbitrary HTML into the serialized output. The default sanitization policy is not affected because it drops the contents of style and script.

Aug 23, 2026justhtml versions <= 1.11.0 (fixed in 1.12.0) do not sufficiently escape HTML-significant characters (angle brackets) in text nodes when converting a parsed docCVE-2026-8445 · Other software · EmilStenstrom · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
justhtml versions <= 1.11.0 (fixed in 1.12.0) do not sufficiently escape HTML-significant characters (angle brackets) in text nodes when converting a parsed document to Markdown via to_markdown(). While a small set of Markdown metacharacters are escaped, characters such as < and > are preserved, so untrusted input that is safe in to_html() — including entity-decoded text (e.g. <script>) or text from RCDATA/RAWTEXT-parsed elements like <title>, <textarea>, <noscript>, and <plaintext> — can be emitted as raw HTML in the Markdown output, enabling a sanitizer bypass and potential cross-site scripting when that output is rendered.

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: don't leave a full plaintext sk_msg ring unpushed When the copy path in tls_sw_sendmsCVE-2026-74610 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: don't leave a full plaintext sk_msg ring unpushed When the copy path in tls_sw_sendmsg_locked() adds the fragment that fills the plaintext sk_msg ring, it does not set full_record, so the record is left full and unpushed. A later splice() then adds to an already full ring: sk_msg_page_add() has no fullness check of its own, so sg.end wraps onto sg.start and the ring appears empty. Fragments added after that overwrite live entries, and sg.size no longer matches what is reachable between sg.start and sg.end, so pushing the record runs the scatterwalk off the end of the scatterlist. An unprivileged user can trigger this on a loopback TCP socket with the "tls" ULP attached: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000008 RIP: 0010:memcpy_from_scatterwalk+0x32/0xc0 Call Trace: skcipher_walk_next+0x1d1/0x2c0 gcm_encrypt_aesni_avx+0x1e9/0x220 bpf_exec_tx_verdict+0x3bb/0x860 tls_sw_sendmsg+0xa1a/0xca0 __sys_sendto+0x1da/0x1f0 Set full_record in the copy path when the ring becomes full, and push a record that is already full on entry to the sendmsg loop.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ring-buffer: Use current_context for safe per-CPU buffer swap The ring_buffer_swap_cpu() function currently checks the per-CPU committing counter to determine if a buffer is actively being written to before performing the swap. Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: zero shared page before exposing to userspace bnxt_re_alloc_ucontext() allocCVE-2026-74584 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: zero shared page before exposing to userspace bnxt_re_alloc_ucontext() allocates uctx->shpg via __get_free_page(GFP_KERNEL). The buddy allocator does not zero pages without __GFP_ZERO, so the page contains stale kernel data from whatever object most recently freed it. The page is then mapped into userspace via vm_insert_page() under BNXT_RE_MMAP_SH_PAGE in bnxt_re_mmap(). The driver only ever writes 4 bytes (a u32 AVID) at offset BNXT_RE_AVID_OFFT (0x10) inside bnxt_re_create_ah(); the remaining 4092 bytes of the page are exposed to userspace unsanitised, leaking kernel memory contents. Any user with access to /dev/infiniband/uverbsX on a host with a bnxt_re device (typically rdma group membership) can read this data via a single mmap() at pgoff 0 after IB_USER_VERBS_CMD_GET_CONTEXT. Other shared pages in the same file already use get_zeroed_page() correctly: drivers/infiniband/hw/bnxt_re/ib_verbs.c srq->uctx_srq_page = (void *)get_zeroed_page(GFP_KERNEL); cq->uctx_cq_page = (void *)get_zeroed_page(GFP_KERNEL); uctx->shpg is the only outlier. Aug 21, 2026Inappropriate Encoding for Output Context vulnerability in joshnuss xml_builder (XmlBuilder module) allows Content Spoofing, Cross-site Scripting.CVE-2026-47079 · Other software · joshnuss · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1
Inappropriate Encoding for Output Context vulnerability in joshnuss xml_builder (XmlBuilder module) allows Content Spoofing, Cross-site Scripting. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/xml_builder.ex and program routines XmlBuilder.generate/1, XmlBuilder.generate/2, XmlBuilder.escape_string/1, XmlBuilder.escape_entity/1. XmlBuilder.generate/1 does not escape literal & characters in text or attribute values when they are followed by an entity-like token (lt;, gt;, amp;, quot;, apos;). As a result, attacker-supplied input such as <script> is emitted verbatim into the serialized XML rather than being escaped to <script>. When a downstream XML parser later reads the document, it decodes the entity sequences into the literal characters <script>, promoting inert-looking text into real markup. This allows an attacker to bypass upstream filters that block raw < and > characters, injecting markup into any downstream consumer that parses the produced XML and renders the text content in a markup-sensitive context (HTML, SVG, RSS/Atom feeds). Both element text and attribute values are affected. This issue affects xml_builder: from 0.0.6 before 2.4.1.

The unstructured library provides open-source components for ingesting and pre-processing images and text documents, such as PDFs, HTML, Word docs, and many more. From 0.4.7 until 0.24.0, the url argument of partition, partition_html, and partition_md is fetched without host validation in unstructured/partition/auto.py, unstructured/partition/html/partition.py, and unstructured/partition/md.py. An attacker who controls that URL can make a server-side ingestion service request loopback addresses, internal HTTP services, or cloud metadata endpoints through direct targets, redirects, or DNS rebinding. The response body is returned as Element text, allowing internal response disclosure, and side-effecting GET endpoints may also be triggered. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.0.

Aug 20, 2026Plate is a rich-text editor with AI and shadcn/ui.CVE-2026-65842 · Other software · udecode · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
Plate is a rich-text editor with AI and shadcn/ui. Prior to 53.3.2, @platejs/docx-io fetches remote image URLs while converting attacker-controlled HTML through htmlToDocxBlob in a server-side or privileged environment. The converter can make requests to internal network resources and include the fetched image bytes in the generated DOCX, allowing server-side request forgery with response disclosure. Applications can also incur resource consumption from attacker-selected remote responses. This issue is fixed in version 53.3.2.

Aug 20, 2026Hurl is a command line tool that runs and tests HTTP requests defined in plain text files.CVE-2026-63481 · Other software · Orange-OpenSource · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
Hurl is a command line tool that runs and tests HTTP requests defined in plain text files. In version 8.0.1 and earlier, the redirect handling in packages/hurl/src/http/client.rs strips Authorization and Cookie headers and basic-auth credentials when a redirect changes host, but it carries RequestSpec.cookies created from the dedicated [Cookies] section into the redirected request. An attacker-controlled redirect can therefore receive authentication or session cookies that should remain scoped to the original host. Cookies supplied through a raw Cookie header are stripped and are not affected by this specific path. This issue is reported as fixed in version 8.1.0.

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.1, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, an unauthenticated user who can read the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) source of a page that embeds a Splunk report could use exposed session material to access all relevant data and affect system integrity. The vulnerability is possible because the dispatch archive download path does not correctly enforce the embedded-report authorization boundary and includes sensitive session material in archived search-job data. Aug 19, 2026The IPv6 neighbor-discovery code in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c processes the 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO, RFC 6775) carried inside ICMPv6 Router Advertisements.CVE-2026-12633 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.1
The IPv6 neighbor-discovery code in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c processes the 6LoWPAN Context Option (6CO, RFC 6775) carried inside ICMPv6 Router Advertisements. In handle_ra_6co() the 8-bit context_len field is taken directly from the packet and was never bounded to the RFC maximum of 128. The function computes context->context_len / 8 and then performs memset(context->prefix + context_len, 0, sizeof(context->prefix) - context_len), where context->prefix is a fixed 16-byte array. With context_len between 136 and 255 (and the option length field set to 3, which the pre-fix validation accepts), context_len / 8 evaluates to 17..31, so the memset length 16 - context_len/8 underflows the unsigned size_t argument to roughly SIZE_MAX. This produces an unbounded out-of-bounds memset that zeroes kernel memory well past the 6lo context structure. The defect is reachable from unauthenticated, link-local input: any host on the same link can send a crafted Router Advertisement with a 6CO option. The RA handler validates only the option length field before calling handle_ra_6co(), so a single packet triggers the wild write. The code is compiled when CONFIG_NET_6LO_CONTEXT is enabled. The impact

Aug 19, 2026The HL7800 cellular modem driver's +CGCONTRDP: response handler on_cmd_atcmdinfo_ipaddr() in drivers/modem/vendor_standalone/hl7800.c parses the PDP-context dynCVE-2026-12522 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.8
The HL7800 cellular modem driver's +CGCONTRDP: response handler on_cmd_atcmdinfo_ipaddr() in drivers/modem/vendor_standalone/hl7800.c parses the PDP-context dynamic parameters (local address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS servers) that the cellular network assigns to the device. The response is linearized into a 256-byte stack buffer, after which each address field length is computed from comma/. delimiter positions in the network-supplied data and used directly as the length argument to strncpy() into the fixed 64-byte stack buffer temp_addr_str (and the 16-byte iface_ctx.dns_v4_string). Because the field length is derived from attacker-controlled delimiter positions and was not bounded against the destination buffer, a single field can be far larger than 64 bytes. A malicious or impersonated cellular network (for example a rogue base station) can return a crafted +CGCONTRDP response with an overlong address field, causing strncpy() to write past temp_addr_str on the modem worker thread's stack, plus an out-of-bounds NUL write at temp_addr_str[addr_len]. No device-side privileges or user interaction are required: the device itself issues the AT+CGCONTRDP=1 query during normal ne

Aug 19, 2026Net::OAuth versions before 0.33 for Perl check HMAC-SHA1, HMAC-SHA256 and PLAINTEXT signatures with a non-constant-time comparison in verify.CVE-2026-75589 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5
Net::OAuth versions before 0.33 for Perl check HMAC-SHA1, HMAC-SHA256 and PLAINTEXT signatures with a non-constant-time comparison in verify. Each of the three compares the signature carried in the message against the locally computed one with the eq operator, which returns as soon as the two strings differ. The time taken to reject a signature varies with the length of the matching prefix. RSA-SHA1 is not affected, as it verifies through the RSA key object rather than by comparing strings. A client that can submit messages and time the replies may recover a valid signature one byte at a time rather than searching the whole signature space. Under PLAINTEXT the value compared against is the signature key itself, so the search recovers consumer_secret and token_secret.
