  • Aug 7, 2026Kata Containers is an open source project focusing on a standard implementation of lightweight Virtual Machines (VMs) that perform like containers.CVE-2026-47243 · Other software · kata-containers · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2

Kata Containers is an open source project focusing on a standard implementation of lightweight Virtual Machines (VMs) that perform like containers. Prior to 3.31.0, the runtime-rs standalone virtio-fs path is vulnerable to a guest-root to host-root escape. In this configuration, Kata runs the host virtiofsd as root with --sandbox none --seccomp none, so an attacker with root-equivalent access inside the guest can bypass the guest virtio-fs client entirely by taking over the virtio-fs PCI device and building a virtqueue in userspace to submit raw FUSE requests directly to the host virtiofsd. A crafted FUSE_SYMLINK request whose new symlink name is an absolute host path is honored outside the configured shared directory, allowing guest root to create root-owned symlinks in sensitive host locations such as /etc/cron.d. By pointing such a symlink at a guest-controlled crontab payload reachable through a live runtime process's mount namespace, the attacker causes the host cron daemon to execute that payload as host root, crossing the Kata isolation boundary. This issue is fixed in version 3.31.0.

  • Aug 7, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-46405 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to version 2.5.4, in OpenBao's Kerberos auth method on the `GET` handler, or when an `Authorization: Negotiate` header is supplied, the response is includes a `logical.Auth` object in addition to an error message. This results in tokens being created with only the default policy, default TTL, and no entity information, which are hidden by the returned error message. No access to these tokens by the caller occurs and the authentication token is not ever made accessible outside of `sys/raw`. This is fixed in OpenBao v2.5.4. As a workaround, users may set a rate limit quota to limit the creation of these paths. As the path is unauthenticated, it isn't possible to deny access to it.

  • Aug 7, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-45808 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to version 2.5.4, OpenBao's namespaces provide multi-tenant separation. A tenant who intentionally leaks lease identifiers can have their lease and underlying credential revoked or renewed by a user in another tenant via the legacy, undocumented `sys/revoke` and `sys/renew` endpoints. This is fixed in OpenBao v2.5.4.

  • Aug 7, 2026Home Assistant is open source home automation software focused on local control and privacy.CVE-2026-66061 · Other software · home-assistant · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Home Assistant is open source home automation software focused on local control and privacy. Prior to 2026.5.0, the iOS Companion app treats tag links (NFC or QR) delivered through an OS-level routing mechanism such as iOS universal links as if they were physically scanned, without validating the calling app or prompting the user. As a result, any untrusted app on the device can forward an arbitrary tag to Home Assistant, causing it to execute the associated automation as though a legitimate user had scanned an authorized tag. This allows silent, unattended automation execution by untrusted local callers. This issue has been fixed in version 2026.5.0.

  • Aug 7, 2026Home Assistant is open source home automation software focused on local control and privacy.CVE-2026-59717 · Other software · home-assistant · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

Home Assistant is open source home automation software focused on local control and privacy. Prior to 2026.6.1, the Android Companion app is vulnerable to an open redirect. The app passes the URL fragment from a homeassistant://invite deep link into the onboarding flow without ever displaying the destination hostname. Because no screen in the invitation or onboarding flow shows the parsed server URL before onboarding commits to it, a victim has no way to distinguish a legitimate invite from a malicious one. An attacker can craft an invite so that a single tap on the legitimate-looking "Connect to my Home Assistant server" button opens their /auth/authorize endpoint in the URL-less onboarding WebView, presenting a look-alike login page that captures the victim's credentials. Since invitations are intended to onboard brand-new users, targets are especially unlikely to notice the substitution. This issue is fixed in version 2026.6.1.

Kata Containers is an open source project focusing on a standard implementation of lightweight Virtual Machines (VMs) that perform like containers. Prior to version 4.0.0, kata-runtime is vulnerable to host code execution via an unvalidated configuration path annotation. The runtime accepts an arbitrary io.katacontainers.config_path pod annotation and loads the referenced host TOML file without restriction. As a result, a pod user who can place a file at a host-visible path can supply a configuration that selects an attacker-controlled hypervisor or virtio-fs daemon binary, executing code as root on the host. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.0.

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to version 2.5.4, OpenBao's inline auth functionality incorrectly redacted audit log entries, resulting in non-auth headers being removed and auth-related headers being retained in cleartext. This requires an attacker to compromise access to the audit device. Operators should review leaked source authentication material and rotate it as appropriate. This is fixed in OpenBao v2.5.4.

Traefik is an open source HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. From 3.6.11 until 3.6.25 and 3.7.10, Traefik's BasicAuth middleware in pkg/middlewares/auth/basic_auth.go deduplicates concurrent password checks with a singleflight key built from the delimiter-free concatenation of password and secret, allowing an attacker who has a valid credential and the stored hash to authenticate as an unconfigured username when headerField trusts the forwarded identity. • Aug 6, 2026Traefik is an open source HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer.CVE-2026-71324 · Other software · traefik · reported by GitHubHigh 7

Traefik is an open source HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to 2.11.53, 3.6.24, and 3.7.9, Traefik's default HTTP reverse proxy forwards a plain HTTP/2 or HTTP/3 CONNECT request and its body to an HTTP/1.1 upstream through a shared net/http.Transport. When the upstream answers the CONNECT with a keep-alive non-2xx response and does not drain the body, Traefik returns the desynchronized backend socket to its shared pool and reuses it for other clients. An unauthenticated attacker can use this behavior to make a different client read the attacker's smuggled response, which can include authenticated or private content from another request. The ForwardAuth middleware with forwardBody true and preserveRequestMethod true can re-issue a CONNECT with the buffered body attached, exposing the auth-client pool to the same desynchronization. This issue is fixed in 2.11.53, 3.6.24, and 3.7.9.

Misskey is an open source, federated social media platform. Versions 12.37.0 and later, but prior to 2026.5.4, are vulnerable to timing attacks during JSON-LD signature validation and the compaction process. Because the JSON-LD parsing context is not shared between signature verification and subsequent processing, the application may trust information that should not be trusted, resulting in a time-of-check to time-of-use (TOCTOU) flaw. • Jul 31, 2026Coturn is a free open source implementation of TURN and STUN Server.CVE-2026-65981 · Other software · coturn · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Coturn is a free open source implementation of TURN and STUN Server. Prior to 4.15.0, a server using --mobility authenticates a resumed REFRESH request with the resuming user's credentials but does not verify that identity against the original allocation owner, allowing an authenticated attacker who obtains a victim MOBILITY-TICKET to receive and inject relayed traffic and consume the victim's quota. In the handle_turn_refresh resume branch, the victim allocation (orig_ss) is located solely by the attacker-controlled mobile id, and credentials are only adopted (via copy_auth_parameters) when the resuming session is unauthenticated. Because the attacker's session already has hmackey_set set to 1 from its own prior authentication (which is never reset for long-term-credential sessions), the credential copy is skipped and check_stun_auth validates the REFRESH against the attacker's own identity rather than the allocation owner's. • Jul 31, 2026Contao is an Open Source CMS.CVE-2026-55825 · Other software · contao · reported by GitHubLow 3.1

Contao is an Open Source CMS. In versions 5.7.0 through 5.7.6, an authenticated backend user who can access one job can request an attachment identifier containing ../ segments and make the job attachment download endpoint read a file from another job directory inside var/job-attachments. The controller authorizes only the jobUuid route parameter. The later attachment lookup joins that authorized job UUID with the attacker-controlled identifier, then passes the combined path to the virtual filesystem. VirtualFilesystem::resolve() canonicalizes the whole path and only rejects paths that escape the filesystem mount, so authorized-job/../victim-job/debug_log.csv becomes victim-job/debug_log.csv. This is a cross-job authorization bypass for known job attachment paths. It is not a practical brute-force against unknown jobs because job directories are UUID v4 values.

Contao is an Open Source CMS. From 5.3.35 through 5.3.47 and from 5.7.0-RC1 through 5.7.8, the Feed Reader front-end module passes configured RSS feed URLs from FeedReaderController::getResponse() to feedIo->read() without scheme or private-address validation, allowing a backend user with module-edit permissions to make the server request internal network services, loopback addresses, or cloud metadata endpoints. In core-bundle/src/Controller/FrontendModule/FeedReaderController.php, the getResponse() function iterates over the configured feed URLs and passes each one directly to the HTTP client (via $this->feedIo->read($url, new Feed())) with no validation, while the DCA field definition for rss_feed in tl_module.php carries no URL scheme or host validation and the HTTP client is wired as @psr18.http_client (Symfony HttpClient) with no SSRF protection configured, since NoPrivateNetworkHttpClient is not used. • Jul 31, 2026Contao is an Open Source CMS.CVE-2026-55824 · Other software · contao · reported by GitHubLow 2.6

Contao is an Open Source CMS. In versions 4.13.40 through 5.3.46 and 5.7.0-RC1 through 5.7.6, the crawler leaks auth credentials to external hosts. Contao's crawler tries to prevent confidential HTTP client options from being sent to external domains by creating a scoped client: full options for root page origins, cleaned options for everything else. The cleaner removes Cookie and Authorization headers, but it removes the non-Symfony option names basic_auth and bearer_auth instead of Symfony HttpClient's real auth_basic and auth_bearer options. When contao.crawl.default_http_client_options contains Basic or Bearer authentication for a protected staging/production site, those credentials remain in the "clean" client used for external links or configured additional URIs. An attacker who can get an external URL crawled, for example through a link on a crawled page while the broken-link checker is enabled, can receive the crawler credentials. Kata Containers is an open source project focusing on a standard implementation of lightweight Virtual Machines (VMs) that perform like containers. Versions prior to 3.31.0 ship with a default configuration that allows pod creators to inject arbitrary command-line arguments into the virtiofsd process through the `io.katacontainers.config.hypervisor.virtio_fs_extra_args` pod annotation. By injecting `-o source=/` along with `--no-announce-submounts` and `--sandbox=none`, an attacker can override the virtiofsd shared directory to serve the entire host root filesystem into the guest VM. Combined with the `kernel_params` annotation (also enabled by default) to activate the agent debug console, the attacker can mount the host filesystem from inside the VM and read or write any file on the host, including /etc/shadow. Version 3.31.0 patches the issue.

  • Jul 21, 2026libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec.CVE-2026-45383 · Other software · strukturag · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec. Versions prior to 1.0.19 have a heap buffer overflow (out-of-bounds READ) exists in `decoder_context::decode_slice_unit_WPP()` in `libde265/decctx.cc`. When decoding a WPP (Wavefront Parallel Processing) HEVC slice, `ctbAddrRS` is computed as `ctbRow * ctbsWidth` inside the entry-point loop. If the PPS/SPS headers are crafted so that this value exceeds `pps.CtbAddrRStoTS.size()`, the subsequent array access `pps.CtbAddrRStoTS[ctbAddrRS]` reads past the end of the allocated vector, triggering a heap-buffer-overflow confirmed by AddressSanitizer. • Jul 21, 2026libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec.CVE-2026-45382 · Other software · strukturag · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec. Prior to version 1.0.19, `decoder_context::decode_slice_unit_tiles` (libde265/decctx.cc:920) reads `pps.CtbAddrRStoTS[ctbAddrRS]` at line 966 where `ctbAddrRS = ctbY * ctbsWidth + ctbX` is computed from PPS-supplied `colBd[]`/`rowBd[]` arrays without validating the result against `CtbAddrRStoTS.size() == sps->PicSizeInCtbsY`. A malformed PPS that passes `set_derived_values` but encodes geometry inconsistent with the SPS produces a `ctbAddrRS` past the allocation, causing a 4-byte heap-buffer-overflow READ. Version 1.0.19 fixes the issue.

  • Jul 21, 2026Nhost is an open source Firebase alternative with GraphQL.CVE-2026-47671 · Other software · nhost · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Nhost is an open source Firebase alternative with GraphQL. In versions of Nhost CLI prior to 1.46.0, the hidden `nhost configserver` used by `nhost dev` exposes the Mimir GraphQL API with dummy authorization directives and permissive CORS. When a developer is running the local development environment, any process that can reach the developer's localhost service, including a web page loaded from an arbitrary origin, can query the configserver for local Nhost configuration and secrets and can mutate the local `.secrets` file. This impacts developers using `nhost dev`: project admin secrets, JWT signing keys, webhook secrets, Grafana credentials, and custom environment variables can be read, and attacker-controlled secrets can be written to the local development project. Version 1.46.0 of Nhost CLI contains a fix.

  • Jul 20, 2026RT is an open source, enterprise-grade issue and ticket tracking system.CVE-2026-44231 · Other software · bestpractical · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

RT is an open source, enterprise-grade issue and ticket tracking system. Versions prior to 5.0.10, 6.0.0 and above, prior to 6.0.3 contain an information disclosure and privilege escalation vulnerability in the REST 2.0 API. A privileged (non-administrative) user can obtain authentication credentials belonging to other users — including users with administrative privileges — and use those credentials to read data as those users via RT's feed endpoints. The same request that exposes the credentials also rotates them, invalidating previously-distributed feed URLs across the instance. This issue has been fixed in versions 5.0.10 and 6.0.3.

  • Jul 20, 2026xrdp is an open source RDP server.CVE-2026-55639 · Other software · neutrinolabs · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a vulnerability concerning the parsing of Client Security Data within the Client MCS Connect Initial PDU with GCC Conference Create Request during the connection sequence. During the initial capability and security negotiation phase, the parser fails to perform sufficient length validation for the incoming data block. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could potentially exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted RDP packet containing malformed data. Due to missing bounds checks, the xrdp process may read a small number of bytes beyond the declared data block boundary, potentially disclosing process memory contents that could be combined with other vulnerabilities. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.

xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a vulnerability concerning the processing of Client Control PDUs. During the RDP connection sequence, the parser does not perform sufficient length validation before reading specific data fields from the network stream. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could potentially exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted, truncated Client Control PDU. Due to missing bounds checks, the xrdp process may perform out-of-bounds memory reads, which can result in the termination of the service (Denial of Service). However, since xrdp forks a new process for each connection by default, an out-of-bounds read causing a process crash is unlikely to bring down the entire xrdp service. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.

  • Jul 20, 2026xrdp is an open source RDP server.CVE-2026-54538 · Other software · neutrinolabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

xrdp is an open source RDP server. In versions 0.10.6 and prior, a n issue was discovered where the software fails to properly validate the totalLength field within the RDP protocol control header during packet reception. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted packet that forces the xrdp process or thread into an infinite, CPU-bound loop. Because the internal pointer fails to advance and the deadlock prevention mechanism is bypassed for specific protocol data unit types, the process consumes excessive CPU resources indefinitely. This can render the xrdp service unavailable and potentially lead to system-wide resource exhaustion if multiple malicious connections are established. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.

  • Jul 20, 2026xrdp is an open source RDP server.CVE-2026-44978 · Other software · neutrinolabs · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability within the FIPS-specific receive paths. This vulnerability does not affect the default configuration of xrdp. The vulnerability is only exploitable when the security layer is set to security_layer=negotiate or security_layer=rdp, and the crypto level is changed to crypt_level=fips in xrdp.ini. In this specific non-default mode, the server fails to validate the FIPS padding length field, leading to a pointer underflow and a subsequent negative length calculation. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted FIPS-protected PDU, causing a heap out-of-bounds read that results in a process crash and denial of service (DoS). However, since xrdp forks a new process for each connection by default, an out-of-bounds read causing a process crash is unlikely to bring down the entire xrdp service. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.

xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability within the virtual channel forwarding mechanism. When forwarding data from a remote client to the internal channel server, the xrdp process utilizes a fixed-size buffer without adequate bounds checking on the incoming payload. An authenticated remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted virtual channel message that exceeds the buffer capacity, leading to heap memory corruption. This may result in a denial of service or the execution of arbitrary code with the privileges of the xrdp process. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.

xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a missing bounds check in xrdp, which allows a heap-based buffer overflow when operating in vnc-any mode. The issue occurs during the handling of RFB protocol color map messages from a VNC server, where incoming color indices are not properly validated. A malicious VNC server can exploit this flaw by sending crafted messages with out-of-range values, leading to an out-of-bounds write on the heap. This memory corruption can result in a denial of service (DoS) or potentially allow remote code execution (RCE) prior to authentication. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.
