Aug 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: core: pair EH runtime PM get and put shost->eh_noresume is currently consulted twiceCVE-2026-74754 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: core: pair EH runtime PM get and put shost->eh_noresume is currently consulted twice in one error handling iteration: once before scsi_autopm_get_host() and once again before scsi_autopm_put_host(). That is racy when a PM-triggered error path flips shost->eh_noresume while the SCSI EH thread is still running. The problem flow looks like this: PM path ufshcd_set_dev_pwr_mode() shost->eh_noresume = 1 ufshcd_execute_start_stop <-- trigger EH ... shost->eh_noresume = 0 EH path scsi_error_handler() if (!shost->eh_noresume) scsi_autopm_get_host() <-- skipped ... if (!shost->eh_noresume) scsi_autopm_put_host() <-- executed later In that case one EH iteration can skip autoresume on entry and still drop a runtime PM reference on exit. That leaves an unmatched runtime PM put and can trigger a runtime PM usage count underflow. Fix this by making eh_noresume a regular bool so it can be accessed with READ_ONCE() and WRITE_ONCE(). Snapshot it once per EH iteration and use that snapshot for both runtime PM get and put decisions.

Aug 26, 2026On Linux, several OpenZFS ioctl authorization checks accept a capability held only within a user-created, unprivileged namespace as equivalent to real host privCVE-2026-79619 · Other software · OpenZFS · reported by security@ubuntu.comHigh 7.3
On Linux, several OpenZFS ioctl authorization checks accept a capability held only within a user-created, unprivileged namespace as equivalent to real host privilege, allowing an unprivileged local user to perform operations that should require root. Affected operations include pool-administrative operations (eg create, import, destroy), pool event log access (zpool events) and fault injection (zinject). Exploiting the problem requires only that the local user is permitted to open /dev/zfs (governed by local device permissions) and that the kernel permits unprivileged user namespace creation. No prior access to the target pool or its underlying devices is needed.

Aug 23, 2026Ghostwriter through 7.2.6 does not apply per-object authorization on its report template lint endpoints.CVE-2026-78204 · Other software · GhostManager · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3
Ghostwriter through 7.2.6 does not apply per-object authorization on its report template lint endpoints. RoleBasedAccessControlMixin.test_func returns only request.user.is_active unless a view overrides it, and neither the endpoint that lints a report template nor the endpoint that returns stored lint results provides an override, so each resolves a ReportTemplate from a caller-supplied primary key with no ownership or client-scope check. Any authenticated account can therefore lint an arbitrary template, which overwrites that template's stored lint result, and can read the returned findings, which enumerate the template's variable names and template-engine errors and so disclose its structure. This is distinct from the template swap path: that endpoint authorizes the report but omits the per-template check, whereas these endpoints omit authorization entirely and remain unfixed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost_iotlb: bound map allocation in add_range vhost_iotlb_add_range_ctx() only retires an old entry when the table has a non-zero limit, has exactly reached that limit and has VHOST_IOTLB_FLAG_RETIRE set. Non-retiring tables can keep allocating entries after reaching their configured limit. Existing vhost devices allocate their IOTLB with max_iotlb_entries from vhost.c, which defaults to 2048 and is tunable by module parameter. Use the caller-provided limit at the allocation point instead of adding a separate default in the common IOTLB helper, and reject non-positive values in vhost paths that can report an error. Other vhost IOTLB users should not create zero-limit tables when entries can be populated from userspace or guest-controlled requests. Add caller-side max_iotlb_entries parameters for mlx5 vDPA, VDUSE and vhost-vDPA. Reject non-positive VDUSE and vhost-vDPA values, and require at least two entries for vdpa_sim and mlx5 vDPA paths that install full-range mappings, since those mappings are split into two IOTLB entries. Handle full-range mappings in the common helper by checking that the IOTLB can hol

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: Validate T10 PI scatterlist counts When T10 PI is negotiated, vhost-scsi splitCVE-2026-74703 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: Validate T10 PI scatterlist counts When T10 PI is negotiated, vhost-scsi splits protection bytes from the data iterator before mapping the request scatterlists. A malformed request can claim protection bytes that cover or exceed the full payload length. The former leaves no data bytes to map, while the latter underflows exp_data_len before advancing the iterator. Both cases can let a zero data SGL count reach sg_alloc_table_chained(), which triggers BUG_ON(!nents). Reject protection lengths that cover or exceed the payload before subtracting prot_bytes and advancing the iterator. Also propagate negative errors from the protection SGL calculation before calling the allocator, matching the data SGL path.

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: reject feature changes after endpoint vhost_scsi_setup_vq_cmds() runs from VHOCVE-2026-74702 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost-scsi: reject feature changes after endpoint vhost_scsi_setup_vq_cmds() runs from VHOST_SCSI_SET_ENDPOINT and allocates each command's protection scatterlist array (prot_sgl) according to the acknowledged VIRTIO_SCSI_F_T10_PI bit. The command pools are not rebuilt when VHOST_SET_FEATURES changes that bit later. Although virtio feature bits must not change after feature negotiation, vhost_scsi_set_features() currently accepts such a request after the endpoint is active and updates acked_features. Enabling T10-PI after endpoint setup therefore leaves prot_sgl NULL while the I/O path follows the new feature bit. For a 129-page protection payload, vhost_scsi_mapal() passes the missing first chunk to sg_alloc_table_chained(): sg_alloc_table_chained(table, 129, first_chunk=NULL, nents_first_chunk=inline_sg_cnt) sg_pool_index() then hits: BUG_ON(nents > SG_CHUNK_SIZE); /* 129 > 128 */ The kernel reported the following call trace and register state: Call Trace: <TASK> ? __sg_alloc_table+0x1d8/0x250 ? __pfx_vhost_run_work_list+0x10/0x10 [vhost] sg_alloc_table_chai

Aug 21, 2026LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki.CVE-2026-53529 · Other software · perber · reported by GitHubMedium 4.8
LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki. Prior to version 0.10.2, page titles returned by the search API could be rendered as raw HTML in the frontend. A user with editor or administrator permissions could create or modify a page title containing an HTML/JavaScript payload. When another user searched for a matching term, the payload could execute in the victim’s browser. The impact depends on deployment configuration. With `--public-access` enabled, unauthenticated visitors could be affected. In authenticated-only deployments, the issue could be used for cross-user XSS against logged-in users who can access search results. The issue has been fixed in version 0.10.2 by ensuring that author-controlled page titles in search results are not interpreted as raw HTML by the browser while preserving search result highlighting.

Aug 21, 2026LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki.CVE-2026-53528 · Other software · perber · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki. Versions 0.3.0 through 0.10.0 have a path traversal vulnerability in LeafWiki’s asset rename functionality. An authenticated user with editor permissions could move files that are accessible to the LeafWiki server process into a page’s asset directory. This could allow sensitive local files, such as the application database, to become downloadable as page assets. Users should update to version 0.10.1 or greater. As an additional mitigation, operators should ensure that the LeafWiki process runs with the least privileges necessary and does not have filesystem access to sensitive files outside the application’s required directories. Until a patch is applied, operators may reduce risk by restricting editor access to trusted users only and by limiting the filesystem permissions of the LeafWiki process.

Aug 21, 2026LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki.CVE-2026-53527 · Other software · perber · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
LeafWiki is a self-hosted wiki. Versions 0.1.0 through 0.10.0 have a privilege escalation vulnerability in the user update API. An authenticated user could update their own account role and escalate privileges from a regular user, such as `viewer`, to `admin`. Exploitation requires a valid authenticated LeafWiki user account. Instances without public registration and with only trusted users are at lower practical risk. Users should update to version 0.10.1 or greater. Until a patch is available, operators should restrict account creation and ensure that only trusted users have accounts on affected LeafWiki instances. If possible, access to the user update API should be restricted to trusted users or administrators only.

Aug 21, 2026Atlantis is a self-hosted golang application that listens for Terraform pull request events via webhooks.CVE-2026-64679 · Other software · runatlantis · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
Atlantis is a self-hosted golang application that listens for Terraform pull request events via webhooks. From 0.19.8 until 0.45.0, Atlantis does not consistently validate user-controlled workspace values supplied through accepted repository-level atlantis.yaml configuration or authenticated /api/plan input before joining them into local workspace paths. Traversal segments can escape the intended per-pull workspace directory and cause clone preparation or other working-directory code paths to call os.RemoveAll, os.MkdirAll, or related filesystem operations on out-of-bounds directories before Terraform rejects the invalid workspace name. This can create, delete, or reuse writable paths with the privileges of the Atlantis process, causing integrity loss or denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.45.0.

Aug 21, 2026YOURLS is a self-hosted, customizable URL shortener written in PHP.CVE-2026-63135 · Other software · YOURLS · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
YOURLS is a self-hosted, customizable URL shortener written in PHP. From 1.5.1 until 1.10.4, YOURLS stores the HTTP Referer header through yourls_get_referrer(), yourls_sanitize_url_safe(), and yourls_log_redirect(), then aggregates the value in yourls-infos.php and passes the derived domain through yourls_get_domain(), yourls_stats_pie(), and yourls_google_array_to_data_table(). The chart builder concatenates labels into inline JavaScript without JavaScript-string escaping, so an unauthenticated attacker can poison the statistics of an existing short URL with a crafted referrer. When an administrator or public stats-page viewer opens the affected statistics page, attacker-controlled JavaScript executes in the YOURLS origin and can access admin-visible data, the API signature token, and privileged same-origin actions. This issue is fixed in version 1.10.4.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost: reset the vring metadata cache on vring reconfiguration vq->meta_iotlb[] caches the vhost_iotlb_map that backs each vring metadata region, and iotlb_access_ok() returns early on a cache hit, taking the hit as proof that the region has already been validated: if (vhost_vq_meta_fetch(vq, addr, len, type)) return true; The cache is reset on VHOST_IOTLB_UPDATE and VHOST_IOTLB_INVALIDATE, on device IOTLB (re)initialisation and on vq reset, but not when VHOST_SET_VRING_ADDR replaces vq->desc, vq->avail and vq->used, nor when VHOST_SET_VRING_NUM changes the region sizes. With a device IOTLB attached both ioctls are accepted while the vq is live, and neither validates the addresses at ioctl time: vq_access_ok() and vq_log_used_access_ok() return true early because the addresses are GIOVAs, deferring validation to prefetch time. Once the cache has been populated that deferred validation no longer runs -- vq_meta_prefetch() hits the stale entry and returns true -- and vhost_vq_meta_fetch() keeps translating through the old mapping as map->addr + addr - map->start for an address the mapping no longer covers

Aug 21, 2026Remote Utilities Host <=7.7.3.0 sets insecure ACLs on all DLL files in the installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Host\), granting FUCVE-2026-14208 · Other software · Remote Utilities Pte. Ltd. · reported by vulnerability@ncsc.chHigh 7.3
Remote Utilities Host <=7.7.3.0 sets insecure ACLs on all DLL files in the installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Remote Utilities - Host\), granting FULL CONTROL (F) to the built-in Everyone group (BUILTIN\Everyone, S-1-1-0). A Windows service running as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM loads DLLs from this directory. The DLLs are file-locked at runtime, but a race window exists when the service is stopped (e.g. during a software update or following a crash), during which a local unprivileged attacker can replace a DLL with a malicious payload. Upon service restart, the payload executes as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. The DLL confirmed as actively loaded during testing is libasset32.dll. Additional DLLs in the same directory (eventmsg.dll, libcodec32.dll, vp8encoder.dll, vp8decoder.dll, webmvorbisdecoder.dll, webmvorbisencoder.dll, webmmux.dll) share identical insecure permissions.

Prior to version 2.5.7, the Bulk Link API endpoint (`POST /api/v2/bulk/links`) accepts URLs without any format validation, allowing an authenticated user to store a `javascript:` URI. The stored URI is later rendered verbatim as an `href` in Blade templates, and clicking it executes arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser — exfiltrating cookies and session tokens. Version 2.5.7 fixes the issue.

In Splunk Enterprise for Windows versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, 9.4.13, and 9.3.14, a local user with access to the Windows host could bind to the management port before Splunk Enterprise starts, intercept authentication tokens from child processes, and use those tokens to compromise all relevant data and system integrity available to the user account running Splunk Enterprise. The vulnerability is possible because the Windows management-port listener does not apply exclusive address binding protections before the service starts.

Prior to 1.2.4, Kurrier API endpoints for listing and retrieving webhook and identity resources did not enforce ownership checks for authenticated API requests. An attacker with a valid API key could use another account's identifiers to read and enumerate webhook and identity resources belonging to that account through apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/webhooks/[id].get.ts, apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/webhooks/index.get.ts, apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/identities/[id].get.ts, and apps/worker/server/routes/api/kurrier/identities/index.get.ts. Anonymous requests and invalid API keys were rejected, and cross-user modification operations were blocked, but affected GET and list operations could expose another user's resource metadata. Aug 15, 2026Dancer2::Plugin::Auth::Extensible versions through 0.713 for Perl allow password reset link poisoning via the request Host header in _default_email_password_resCVE-2026-15689 · Other software · ABEVERLEY · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.8
Dancer2::Plugin::Auth::Extensible versions through 0.713 for Perl allow password reset link poisoning via the request Host header in _default_email_password_reset and _default_welcome_send. Both default emails emit a link of the form `$base/login/$code`, whose authority comes from the request Host header, or from X-Forwarded-Host under behind_proxy (obtained from Dancer2's request->base function). A POST to /login carrying submit_reset and a username needs no authentication: it stores a fresh reset code against that account and mails the account holder a link to a host of the sender's choosing. The welcome mail takes the same path when the application calls create_user with email_welcome set. Through 0.711 the handlers read `request->uri_base` and `request->base` directly; Versions 0.712 and later provide an uri_base configuration key that defaults to the untrusted `request->uri_base` when unset. The default configuration with reset_password_handler enabled and the default message text, a recipient who follows the link hands a working reset code to the sender's host, which is enough to take over the account.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: jz4780: Cache host clock rate at probe to prevent CCF prepare_lock deadlock Fix a severe AB/BA deadlock between the Common Clock Framework (CCF) and the I2C adapter lock, which triggers when an I2C-controlled clock generator client (like the Si5351) is registered or modified under the CCF. During an i2c client clock (generator) frequency change, the CCF acquires its global 'prepare_lock' mutex and the driver calls i2c_transfer() to update the client's chip registers, stalling for the adapter's I2C bus lock. Concurrently, an independent, parallel transfer on the same bus (e.g., a GPIO expander handling LEDs) can hold the I2C adapter lock. Inside this parallel transfer path, jz4780_i2c_set_speed() calls clk_get_rate() on the host controller's input clock to calculate bus timings. This call attempts to acquire the blocked CCF 'prepare_lock', creating a circular dependency that freezes the system. The jz4780 host controller clock itself is static and never changes at runtime. However, calling clk_get_rate() inside the active transfer path introduces an unnecessary dependency on the CCF internal locks. Elimi

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpu: host1x: Allow entries in BO caches to be freed When a buffer object is pinned via hosCVE-2026-74381 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpu: host1x: Allow entries in BO caches to be freed When a buffer object is pinned via host1x_bo_pin() with a cache, the resulting mapping is kept in the cache so it can be reused on subsequent pins. Each mapping held a reference to the underlying host1x_bo (taken in tegra_bo_pin / gather_bo_pin), so as long as a mapping was cached, the bo itself could not be freed. However, the only way to remove the cached mapping was through the free path of the buffer object. This meant that if a bo got cached, it could never get freed again. Resolve the circularity by holding a weak reference to the bo from the cache side. This is done by having the .pin callbacks not bump the bo's refcount -- instead the common Host1x bo code does so, except for the cache reference. Also move the remove-cache-mapping-on-free code into a common function inside Host1x code. This is only called from the TegraDRM GEM buffers since those are the only ones that can be cached at the moment.
