In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: reject malformed HCI_CMD_SYNC commands In 'mgmt_hci_cmd_sync()', check whether the size of parameters passed in 'struct mgmt_cp_hci_cmd_sync' matches the total size of the data (i.e. 'sizeof(struct mgmt_cp_hci_cmd_sync)' plus trailing bytes). Otherwise, large invalid 'params_len' will cause 'hci_cmd_sync_alloc()' to do 'skb_put_data()' from an area beyond the one actually passed to 'mgmt_hci_cmd_sync()'.

Jun 23, 2025An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the Blue Angel Software Suite running on embedded Linux devices via the ping_addr parameter in the webctrl.cgi sCVE-2025-34033 · Other software · 5VTechnologies · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.7
An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the Blue Angel Software Suite running on embedded Linux devices via the ping_addr parameter in the webctrl.cgi script. The application fails to properly sanitize input before passing it to the system-level ping command. An authenticated attacker can inject arbitrary commands by appending shell metacharacters to the ping_addr parameter in a crafted GET request to /cgi-bin/webctrl.cgi?action=pingtest_update. The command's output is reflected in the application's web interface, enabling attackers to view results directly. Default and backdoor credentials can be used to access the interface and exploit the issue. Successful exploitation results in arbitrary command execution as the root user. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-01-26 UTC.

May 20, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: avoid NULL pointer dereference in skb_dequeue() A NULL pointer dereferenCVE-2025-37918 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: avoid NULL pointer dereference in skb_dequeue() A NULL pointer dereference can occur in skb_dequeue() when processing a QCA firmware crash dump on WCN7851 (0489:e0f3). [ 93.672166] Bluetooth: hci0: ACL memdump size(589824) [ 93.672475] BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000008 [ 93.672517] Workqueue: hci0 hci_devcd_rx [bluetooth] [ 93.672598] RIP: 0010:skb_dequeue+0x50/0x80 The issue stems from handle_dump_pkt_qca() returning 0 even when a dump packet is successfully processed. This is because it incorrectly forwards the return value of hci_devcd_init() (which returns 0 on success). As a result, the caller (btusb_recv_acl_qca() or btusb_recv_evt_qca()) assumes the packet was not handled and passes it to hci_recv_frame(), leading to premature kfree() of the skb. Later, hci_devcd_rx() attempts to dequeue the same skb from the dump queue, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference. Fix this by: 1. Making handle_dump_pkt_qca() return 0 on success and negative errno on failure, consistent with kernel conventions. 2. Splitting dump packet detection into separate functions fo

May 2, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: HCI: Fix global-out-of-bounds To loop a variable-length array, hci_init_stage_sCVE-2023-53057 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: HCI: Fix global-out-of-bounds To loop a variable-length array, hci_init_stage_sync(stage) considers that stage[i] is valid as long as stage[i-1].func is valid. Thus, the last element of stage[].func should be intentionally invalid as hci_init0[], le_init2[], and others did. However, amp_init1[] and amp_init2[] have no invalid element, letting hci_init_stage_sync() keep accessing amp_init1[] over its valid range. This patch fixes this by adding {} in the last of amp_init1[] and amp_init2[]. ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in hci_dev_open_sync ( /v6.2-bzimage/net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:3154 /v6.2-bzimage/net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:3343 /v6.2-bzimage/net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:4418 /v6.2-bzimage/net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:4609 /v6.2-bzimage/net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c:4689) Read of size 8 at addr ffffffffaed1ab70 by task kworker/u5:0/1032 CPU: 0 PID: 1032 Comm: kworker/u5:0 Not tainted 6.2.0 #3 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS 1.15.0-1 04 Workqueue: hci1 hci_power_on Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl (/v6.2-bzimage/lib/d

May 2, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix race condition in hci_cmd_sync_clear There is a potential race condition inCVE-2023-53046 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix race condition in hci_cmd_sync_clear There is a potential race condition in hci_cmd_sync_work and hci_cmd_sync_clear, and could lead to use-after-free. For instance, hci_cmd_sync_work is added to the 'req_workqueue' after cancel_work_sync The entry of 'cmd_sync_work_list' may be freed in hci_cmd_sync_clear, and causing kernel panic when it is used in 'hci_cmd_sync_work'. May 1, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix use-after-free caused by l2cap_reassemble_sdu Fix the race conditionCVE-2022-49910 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix use-after-free caused by l2cap_reassemble_sdu Fix the race condition between the following two flows that run in parallel: 1. l2cap_reassemble_sdu -> chan->ops->recv (l2cap_sock_recv_cb) -> __sock_queue_rcv_skb. 2. bt_sock_recvmsg -> skb_recv_datagram, skb_free_datagram. An SKB can be queued by the first flow and immediately dequeued and freed by the second flow, therefore the callers of l2cap_reassemble_sdu can't use the SKB after that function returns. However, some places continue accessing struct l2cap_ctrl that resides in the SKB's CB for a short time after l2cap_reassemble_sdu returns, leading to a use-after-free condition (the stack trace is below, line numbers for kernel 5.19.8). Fix it by keeping a local copy of struct l2cap_ctrl. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
