A security issue was discovered in MongoDB mongos (the sharded cluster router) where an authenticated user with readWrite privileges could crash the mongos process by crafting a specially formed aggregation pipeline. The issue leverages an internal aggregation stage that lacks proper authorization checks despite being intended for internal use, allowing a subsequent stage to be forced to execute on the router under conditions it was not designed to handle. This results in an unhandled fatal error that causes the mongos process to immediately abort, resulting in denial of service for all clients routed through the affected mongos instance.

  • Oct 13, 2026ammonia is a Rust library for repairing and securing untrusted HTML.CVE-2026-102342 · Other software · rust-ammonia · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

ammonia is a Rust library for repairing and securing untrusted HTML. Prior to 3.3.3, 4.0.3, and 4.1.4, applications that allow the SVG animate or set elements can retain an animation whose attributeName targets href and whose value uses the javascript scheme. The sanitized SVG can therefore create a script-bearing link, and a user who clicks the link can execute attacker-controlled script in the application's origin, enabling stored cross-site scripting. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.3, 4.0.3, and 4.1.4.

A connected peer cluster can modify a Temporal Server cluster's local namespaces, which are never replicated to that peer, because the receiving cluster applies inbound namespace replication updates to them. In a multi-cluster deployment, each cluster pulls replication tasks from the remote clusters an administrator has registered with connection enabled; the sending side excludes local namespaces, but the receiving side does not apply the same rule. When an inbound task names an existing namespace, the server checks at most that the namespace identifiers match, then overwrites its state, description, owner, retention, archival settings, and cluster list, and its active cluster when the task carries a higher failover version, without checking that the namespace is global. A party that controls a registered peer's replies, by operating or compromising it, can therefore change any local namespace whose name and identifier it can supply, without any credential on the receiving cluster: for example, marking it Deprecated, making the peer its active cluster, and shortening its retention, after which new Workflow starts in that namespace fail. Local namespaces include the built-in tempor

Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in hexpm hex_core allows an untrusted repository mirror, or a server answering hex_core's API requests, to exhaust the memory of the Erlang VM running hex_core. The same code is vendored in Hex (mix_hex_repo, mix_hex_api) and rebar3 (r3_hex_repo, r3_hex_api). hex_repo:get_names/1, hex_repo:get_versions/1, hex_repo:get_package/2 and hex_repo:get_policy/2 decompress the registry response with zlib:gunzip/1 and decode the signed envelope before verifying its signature. A mirror doesn't have the repository's private key, but it chooses the compressed bytes, so a small response decompresses into an envelope of any size before the signature check rejects it. hex_api decodes responses with the application/vnd.hex+erlang content type through hex_safe_binary_to_term:safe_binary_to_term/1, which calls binary_to_term(Binary, [safe]). The safe option prevents atom creation, but it accepts compressed terms and doesn't limit the size of the decoded term, and the check that rejects functions and ports runs after the term has been built. The fix for CVE-2026-21619 added the safe option and that check without bounding

  • Oct 12, 2026Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in hexpm hex allows an untrusted package mirror to exhaust the memory or disk spaCVE-2026-96618 · Other software · hexpm · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1

Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in hexpm hex allows an untrusted package mirror to exhaust the memory or disk space of the machine running mix deps.get, mix deps.update, mix hex.package fetch or mix hex.docs fetch. Hex treats a mirror configured with HEX_MIRROR_URL, HEX_MIRROR or mirror_url as untrusted: it doesn't send credentials to it, and it checks registry signatures and package checksums that the mirror can't forge. Several response paths consume memory or disk in proportion to what the mirror sends before any of those checks run. Hex.HTTP.request/5 reads the whole response body into memory and decompresses it with :zlib.gunzip/1 whenever the response's Content-Encoding contains gzip, with no limit on the compressed or decompressed size. Hex doesn't ask for compressed responses, so the server decides whether this step runs. It applies to registry, package, docs and API responses. Package tarballs have no download size limit. Hex 2.5.1 holds the whole tarball in memory and writes it to the cache, and the development branch streams it to a temporary file; the 16 MiB tarball limit is checked only when the file is unpacked. • Oct 12, 2026A deserialization of untrusted data vulnerability was found in ManageIQ.CVE-2026-52903 · Other software · ManageIQ · reported by Red HatHigh 8.8

A deserialization of untrusted data vulnerability was found in ManageIQ. The YamlLoadAliases module overrides YAML.safe_load to silently fall back to YAML.unsafe_load in production when a Psych::DisallowedClass error occurs. An authenticated attacker with dialog import access can exploit this to achieve remote code execution by uploading a crafted YAML payload that triggers the fallback and deserializes arbitrary Ruby objects. Red Hat CloudForms, which was based on ManageIQ, has reached End of Life and is no longer supported. No errata or patches will be issued. This CVE is being assigned for the benefit of the ManageIQ community and downstream consumers.

  • Oct 12, 2026OTRS does not sufficiently enforce the uniqueness of customer user identities across multiple configured CustomerUser backends.CVE-2026-78359 · Other software · OTRS GmbH (former OTRS AG) · reported by security@otrs.comMedium 5.4

OTRS does not sufficiently enforce the uniqueness of customer user identities across multiple configured CustomerUser backends. When multiple backends, such as a database and LDAP, are configured, the uniqueness check for customer user email addresses is performed only within the selected backend. As a result, an authenticated user with permission to create or modify customer users may create a customer user whose email address is already assigned to a customer user in another backend. This can result in multiple customer user records representing the same communication identity. Depending on the affected workflow and backend resolution, customer-related information or email communication may subsequently be associated with or exposed to the wrong customer user. The vulnerability does not allow unauthenticated users to create customer accounts. Exploitation requires permissions to create or modify customer users. This issue affects OTRS: * 7.0.X * 8.0.X * 2023.X * 2024.X * 2025.X * 2026.X before 2026.7.X Please note that ((OTRS)) Community Edition 6.x and before are vulnerable. • Oct 12, 2026Previously issued authentication tokens are not immediately invalidated when an OTRS agent or customer user account is deactivated or its password is changed.CVE-2026-78357 · Other software · OTRS GmbH (former OTRS AG) · reported by security@otrs.comCritical 9.1

Previously issued authentication tokens are not immediately invalidated when an OTRS agent or customer user account is deactivated or its password is changed. As a result, an existing JWT may remain valid until its regular expiration time, which can be approximately 16 hours. An attacker who has previously obtained a valid authentication token can therefore continue to access OTRS with the privileges of the affected agent or customer user even after the corresponding account has been deactivated or the user's password has been changed. The vulnerability does not allow an attacker to obtain authentication tokens by itself. Exploitation requires possession of a previously issued and still valid token. The actual impact depends on the privileges associated with the compromised token. Customer user tokens are limited to the permissions of the affected customer account, while agent tokens may provide access to broader ticket, customer, or administrative functionality depending on the assigned permissions.
