May 20, 2026Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability in phenixdigital phoenix_storybook allows cross-session PubSub topic injection via a URL query paCVE-2026-47068 · Other software · phenixdigital · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.3
Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability in phenixdigital phoenix_storybook allows cross-session PubSub topic injection via a URL query parameter. 'Elixir.PhoenixStorybook.Story.ComponentIframeLive':handle_params/3 in lib/phoenix_storybook/live/story/component_iframe_live.ex reads a PubSub topic directly from params["topic"] and broadcasts {:component_iframe_pid, self()} on it with no check that the topic belongs to the requesting session. The shared PhoenixStorybook.PubSub is used to coordinate playground LiveViews with their iframes: a playground subscribes to a session-specific topic and uses the received iframe pid to direct subsequent control messages (variation state, theme switches, extra-assign payloads) via send/2. Because the iframe trusts the query parameter, an attacker who loads /storybook/iframe/<story>?topic=<victim_topic> causes their iframe process pid to be announced on the victim's topic. The victim's playground then addresses its private messages to the attacker's iframe process. This issue affects phoenix_storybook from 0.4.0 before 1.1.0.

May 19, 2026HestiaCP versions 1.9.0 through 1.9.4 contain a deserialization vulnerability in the web terminal component caused by a session format mismatch between PHP and CVE-2026-43633 · Other software · hestiacp · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.5
HestiaCP versions 1.9.0 through 1.9.4 contain a deserialization vulnerability in the web terminal component caused by a session format mismatch between PHP and Node.js that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to achieve root-level code execution. Attackers can inject crafted data into HTTP headers that are processed by the PHP session handler but incorrectly deserialized by the Node.js web terminal component as trusted session values, resulting in arbitrary command execution on systems with the web terminal feature enabled.

May 19, 2026A session fixation vulnerability was found in Keycloak's login-actions endpoints.CVE-2026-7507 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5
A session fixation vulnerability was found in Keycloak's login-actions endpoints. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this flaw by pre-creating an authentication session and tricking a victim into visiting a maliciously crafted link. By leveraging the /login-actions/restart endpoint—which processes session handles without adequate CSRF protection or cookie ownership validation—an attacker can reset the authentication flow state. This causes Single Sign-On (SSO) to authenticate the victim transparently upon clicking the link, allowing the attacker to hijack the required-action form without needing the victim's credentials. A successful exploit could lead to complete account takeover, including highly privileged administrative accounts.

May 15, 2026Apache::Session::Generate::SHA256 versions before 1.3.19 for Perl create insecure session ids.CVE-2026-8503 · Other software · GUIMARD · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 6.5
Apache::Session::Generate::SHA256 versions before 1.3.19 for Perl create insecure session ids. Apache::Session::Generate::SHA256 generated session ids insecurely. The default session id generator returns a SHA-256 hash of the built-in rand() function, the epoch time, and the PID, that is hashed again. These are predictable, low-entropy sources. Predicable session ids could allow an attacker to gain access to systems. Note that version 1.3.19 has a fallback without warning to use insecure session generation method if the call to Crypt::URandom::urandom fails. However, this is unlikely as Crypt::URandom is a hardcoded requirement of the module. This issue is similar to CVE-2025-40931 for Apache::Session::Generate::MD5.

May 13, 2026The Claude Desktop app gives you Claude Code with a graphical interface built for running multiple sessions side by side.CVE-2026-44470 · Other software · anthropics · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
The Claude Desktop app gives you Claude Code with a graphical interface built for running multiple sessions side by side. Prior to 1.3834.0, the CoworkVMService component in Claude Desktop for Windows ran as SYSTEM and did not validate whether the VM bundle directory was a real directory or an NTFS directory junction before creating files within it. A local non-elevated user could replace the user-writable VM bundle directory with a directory junction pointing to an attacker-chosen location, causing the service to create a SYSTEM-owned file in an arbitrary directory. This could be leveraged for local privilege escalation. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.3834.0.

May 13, 2026The Claude Desktop app gives you Claude Code with a graphical interface built for running multiple sessions side by side.CVE-2026-44467 · Other software · anthropics · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
The Claude Desktop app gives you Claude Code with a graphical interface built for running multiple sessions side by side. From 1.2581.0 to before 1.4304.0, Claude Desktop's SSH remote development feature verified only whether a hostname existed in ~/.ssh/known_hosts without comparing the server's presented host key against the stored key. This allowed a network-positioned attacker to present an arbitrary SSH host key and have the connection silently accepted, enabling a man-in-the-middle attack on remote development sessions. Successful exploitation required the attacker to be in a network position to intercept SSH traffic (e.g., via ARP spoofing, rogue Wi-Fi, or DNS poisoning) and the target hostname to already have an entry in the victim's known_hosts file. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.4304.0.

May 11, 2026@workos/authkit-session is a toolkit for building WorkOS AuthKit framework integrations.CVE-2026-42565 · Other software · workos · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
@workos/authkit-session is a toolkit for building WorkOS AuthKit framework integrations. Prior to 0.5.1, an open redirect vulnerability exists in AuthService.handleCallback due to insufficient validation of the returnPathname value derived from the OAuth state parameter. The state parameter is round-tripped through the identity provider (IdP) and can be influenced by an attacker. The handleCallback function decodes and returns returnPathname without enforcing restrictions on origin or scheme. As a result, attacker-controlled values may be returned to the application. If this value is used directly in a redirect, it may cause the user to be redirected to an external, attacker-controlled site. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.1.

May 11, 2026Deserialization of untrusted data (CWE-502) in pgAdmin 4 FileBackedSessionManager.CVE-2026-7818 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.3
Deserialization of untrusted data (CWE-502) in pgAdmin 4 FileBackedSessionManager. The session manager performed unsafe deserialization of session-file contents (using Python's standard object-serialization module) before performing any HMAC integrity check. Any file dropped into the sessions directory was deserialized unconditionally. An authenticated user with write access to the sessions directory (whether by misconfiguration or in combination with another path-traversal flaw) could plant a crafted serialized payload to achieve operating-system level remote code execution under the pgAdmin process identity. Fix prepends a 64-byte hex SHA-256 HMAC over the session body, computed with SECRET_KEY, and verifies it via hmac.compare_digest before any deserialization. The check is raised (rather than asserted) on empty SECRET_KEY so it is not stripped under -O. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.15.

May 11, 2026WebDyne::Session versions before 3.003_704 for Perl generate the session id insecurely.CVE-2026-5084 · Other software · ASPEER · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 6.5
WebDyne::Session versions before 3.003_704 for Perl generate the session id insecurely. The session handler generates the session id from an MD5 hash seeded with a call to the built-in rand() function. The rand function is passed a maximum value based on the process id, the epoch time and the reference address of the object, but this information will have no effect on the overall quality of the seed of the message digest. The rand function is seeded by 32-bits and is predictable. It is considered unsuitable for cryptographic purposes. Predictable session ids could allow an attacker to gain access to systems. Note that WebDyne::Session versions 1.042 and earlier appear to be in separate distributions from WebDyne.

May 6, 2026Apache::Session::Generate::ModUniqueId versions from 1.54 through 1.94 for Perl session ids are insecure.CVE-2026-5081 · Other software · CHORNY · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.1
Apache::Session::Generate::ModUniqueId versions from 1.54 through 1.94 for Perl session ids are insecure. Apache::Session::Generate::ModUniqueId (added in version 1.54) uses the value of the UNIQUE_ID environment variable for the session id. The UNIQUE_ID variable is set by the Apache mod_unique_id plugin, which generates unique ids for the request. The id is based on the IPv4 address, the process id, the epoch time, a 16-bit counter and a thread index, with no obfuscation. The server IP is often available to the public, and if not available, can be guessed from previous session ids being issued. The process ids may also be guessed from previous session ids. The timestamp is easily guessed (and leaked in the HTTP Date response header). The purpose of mod_unique_id is to assign a unique id to requests so that events can be correlated in different logs. The id is not designed, nor is it suitable for security purposes.

Dancer::Session::Abstract versions through 1.3522 for Perl generates session ids insecurely. The session id is generated from summing the character codepoints of the absolute pathname with the process id, the epoch time and calls to the built-in rand() function to return a number between 0 and 999-billion, and concatenating that result three times. The path name might be known or guessed by an attacker, especially for applications known to be written using Dancer with standard installation locations. The epoch time can be guessed by an attacker, and may be leaked in the HTTP header. The process id comes from a small set of numbers, and workers may have sequential process ids. The built-in rand() function is seeded with 32-bits and is considered unsuitable for security applications. Predictable session ids could allow an attacker to gain access to systems.

Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: do not expire session on binding failure When a multichannel session binding requesCVE-2026-31476 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.2
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: do not expire session on binding failure When a multichannel session binding request fails (e.g. wrong password), the error path unconditionally sets sess->state = SMB2_SESSION_EXPIRED. However, during binding, sess points to the target session looked up via ksmbd_session_lookup_slowpath() -- which belongs to another connection's user. This allows a remote attacker to invalidate any active session by simply sending a binding request with a wrong password (DoS). Fix this by skipping session expiration when the failed request was a binding attempt, since the session does not belong to the current connection. The reference taken by ksmbd_session_lookup_slowpath() is still correctly released via ksmbd_user_session_put().

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
