Sep 1, 2026jackson-databind's deserializer for java.nio.file.Path resolves an attacker-supplied URI without restricting the URI scheme.CVE-2026-19032 · Other software · FasterXML · reported by 36c7be3b-2937-45df-85ea-ca7133ea542cMedium 5.3
jackson-databind's deserializer for java.nio.file.Path resolves an attacker-supplied URI without restricting the URI scheme. In JDKFromStringDeserializer.NioPathHelper.deserialize, a string bound from untrusted JSON is passed to new URI(value) and then to Path.of(uri). When that throws FileSystemNotFoundException, the code enumerates ServiceLoader<FileSystemProvider> and calls provider.getPath(uri) on the first provider whose scheme matches the attacker-chosen scheme. Untrusted JSON can therefore select and drive an arbitrary registered FileSystemProvider during readValue under a default JsonMapper, and forces provider class loading at the same time. With only the JDK built-in providers (file, jar/zipfs) present, the resolved path is inert and no mount or network I/O occurs; further impact requires a side-effecting third-party FileSystemProvider on the classpath. This affects com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 2.8.0 before 2.18.10, from 2.19.0 before 2.21.6, and from 2.22.0 before 2.22.2, and tools.jackson.core:jackson-databind from 3.0.0 before 3.1.6 and from 3.2.0 before 3.2.2. Users should upgrade to 2.18.10, 2.21.6, 2.22.2, 3.1.6, or 3.2.2. Binding java.nio.file.P

Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81891 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, checkExtractItems() in php/elFinderVolumeDriver.class.php calls mimetypeInternalDetect() without passing the result through mimeTypeNormalize(). Because the .phtml, .phar, .php5, and .php3 extensions are absent from mime.types, the staticMimeMap entries that map them to text/x-php are not applied, and allowPutMime() permits extraction even when uploadDeny blocks text/x-php. An attacker with ZIP upload permission can extract PHP-executable files into a web-accessible files/ directory and achieve remote code execution when the server executes those extensions. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81890 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4
elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, the netmount command is omitted from elFinderConnector::$csrfProtectedCmds in php/elFinderConnector.class.php, so validateCsrfToken() is not called for this state-changing operation. In the shipped php/connector.minimal.php-dist configuration, FTP network mounts are enabled by default, and attacker-controlled protocol, host, path, port, user, pass, alias, and options arguments flow through elFinder::netmount() in php/elFinder.class.php to php/elFinderVolumeFTP.class.php. A cross-site request can therefore persist an attacker-chosen FTP mount in the victim's session, cause the PHP server to connect to an attacker-chosen FTP host and port, and send supplied credentials without an X-elFinder-CSRF token. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

Aug 31, 2026elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI.CVE-2026-81889 · Other software · Studio-42 · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6
elFinder is an open-source file manager for web, written in JavaScript using jQuery UI. Prior to 2.1.70, elFinder URL uploads in php/elFinder.class.php can bypass server-side request forgery protections when PHP cURL is unavailable because validate_address() validates $info['ip'], but get_remote_contents() selects fsock_get_contents(), which connects to $arr['host'] and performs a second DNS resolution. An attacker able to submit a URL upload can use DNS rebinding to have the first resolution return a public address and the connection resolution return a loopback or private address, causing the internal HTTP response body to be stored as an uploaded file and made readable through elFinder. After a successful fetch, get_headers($url, true) separately requests the original hostname without reusing the validated and pinned connection, creating an additional blind server-side request forgery path even when curl_get_contents() is selected. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.70.

Aug 30, 2026Pake before 3.13.1 joins the JavaScript-supplied filename for the download_file Tauri command onto the user's Downloads directory with no sanitization.CVE-2026-82635 · Other software · tw93 · reported by reefs@jfrog.comHigh 8.8
Pake before 3.13.1 joins the JavaScript-supplied filename for the download_file Tauri command onto the user's Downloads directory with no sanitization. A filename containing path traversal sequences (for example ../Library/LaunchAgents/com.evil.plist) or an absolute path resolves outside ~/Downloads. The command then fetches attacker-controlled content from the supplied URL (via Rust HTTP, not the browser) and writes it to that path. A script that can invoke the command can overwrite user-writable files and install persistence (macOS LaunchAgents, Linux autostart, Windows Startup), leading to code execution in the user account. All desktop apps generated from an affected Pake tree expose the same command.

Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java.CVE-2026-55860 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java. Prior to 1.4.1, org.mariadb:r2dbc-mariadb does not gate clear-text password authentication plugins on transport encryption because the AuthenticationPlugin interface has no capability for a plugin to require a secure connection. A hostile or man-in-the-middle MariaDB server can send an AuthSwitchRequest naming mysql_clear_password or dialog (PAM) over a plain-TCP unencrypted connection, and AuthenticationFlow permits ClearPasswordPluginFlow or PamPluginFlow to return the user's password as cleartext bytes on the wire. The disclosed credentials can subsequently be used to authenticate directly to the database server. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.

Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java.CVE-2026-55859 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java. Prior to 1.4.1, org.mariadb:r2dbc-mariadb encodes and decodes all character data under the assumption that the connection character set is UTF-8. A server can announce a mid-session change to character_set_client through the OK-packet session-state-tracking mechanism, including through SET NAMES executed by a stored routine or trigger, server configuration, or a hostile or man-in-the-middle server. If the new character set is not UTF-8, the driver continues to exchange UTF-8 while the server interprets the same bytes under a different encoding, causing silent data corruption and a client/server charset-confusion mismatch that can defeat byte-wise quoting or escaping. The fix accepts only utf8, utf8mb3, or utf8mb4 after initialization; any other value raises R2dbcNonTransientResourceException with SQLState 08000 and closes the connection. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1.

Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55858 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, the connector encodes and decodes protocol text and performs client-side escaping under the assumption that the connection character set is UTF-8. The server can report a mid-session change to character_set_client through OK-packet session-state tracking, including a change caused by SET NAMES, a stored routine or trigger, server configuration, or a hostile server. If character_set_client changes to a non-UTF-8 value, the driver continues to read and write UTF-8 while the server interprets the same bytes under another encoding, causing silent data corruption and a client/server charset-confusion mismatch that can defeat byte-wise quoting or escaping. The fix accepts only utf8, utf8mb3, or utf8mb4 after initialization; any other value causes SQLException with SQLState 08000 and closes the connection. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.

Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55857 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, PAM dialog authentication can be coerced into transmitting the account password over an insecure connection. The mysql_clear_password plugin is gated behind a secure transport, but the sibling PAM handler SendPamAuthPacketFactory, named dialog by the server, does not declare that requirement and inherits the default secure-required value false; older branches implement the same affected behavior in SendPamAuthPacket. A hostile or man-in-the-middle server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the driver to return the user's password in cleartext when sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null, which is the default configuration. Properly verified TLS and local Unix sockets are not exposed to this transport vector. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.

Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55856 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
MariaDB Connector/J is used to connect applications developed in Java to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9, when a Java application connects with sslMode=verify-full or sslMode=verify-ca, supplies a password, and does not configure serverSslCert or trustStore, Connector/J can accept an untrusted self-signed certificate through the fallbackToSystemTrustStore=true ephemeral trust manager and record its certFingerprint for later identity binding. The OK-packet and authentication-switch paths enforce the certificate fingerprint, but the initial-handshake path does not. HandshakeResponse.encode() can therefore build and send a mysql_clear_password response before checking certFingerprint != null && !isMitMProof(), sslMode, or whether the authentication plugin is resistant to a man-in-the-middle, and the initial path also bypasses restrictedAuth. An active man-in-the-middle or hostile server can present a self-signed certificate, claim to be MariaDB, select mysql_clear_password as the initial authentication plugin, and receive the full database password before the connection is rejected. This issue is fixed in versions 2.7.14, 3.3.5, 3.4.3, and 3.5.9.

SunEditor is a lightweight and powerful WYSIWYG editor in vanilla JavaScript with no dependencies. Prior to 3.1.4, the SunEditor Embed plugin in src/plugins/modal/embed.js parses attacker-controlled raw embed HTML with DOMParser and processes the resulting DOM nodes. In 5.2.6 and earlier, UnpackerBase.unpack() in izpack-installer/src/main/java/com/izforge/izpack/installer/unpacker/UnpackerBase.java obtains an attacker-controlled PackFile targetPath, passes it through IoHelper.translatePath(), which only converts separators, and constructs a File without normalizing parent-directory segments or enforcing destination containment. Aug 20, 2026deepmerge-ts is a typescript library providing functionality to deep merging of javascript objects.CVE-2026-40345 · Other software · RebeccaStevens · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
deepmerge-ts is a typescript library providing functionality to deep merging of javascript objects. Prior to 8.0.0, the deepmerge, deepmergeCustom, deepmergeInto, and deepmergeIntoCustom APIs do not track visited objects or object pairs when recursively merging records. When two input values contain self-references at the same property path, the merge logic repeatedly revisits the same pair until Node.js raises RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded. Applications that merge attacker-controlled recursive object graphs can synchronously crash the affected process or cause repeated worker restarts. Plain JSON input alone cannot create the recursive graph required to trigger the issue. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.0.

Aug 20, 2026Handlebars.java provides logic-less and semantic Mustache templates with Java.CVE-2026-63490 · Other software · jknack · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
Handlebars.java provides logic-less and semantic Mustache templates with Java. Prior to 4.5.3, com.github.jknack.handlebars.springmvc.SpringTemplateLoader resolves attacker-influenced Spring MVC view names through Spring ResourceLoader without the path-containment validation used by other URL-based loaders. In handlebars-springmvc/src/main/java/com/github/jknack/handlebars/springmvc/SpringTemplateLoader.java, a view name using a file: or classpath: URL and ending with the # fragment delimiter places the appended .hbs suffix in the fragment, which FileUrlResource.exists() and URL.openStream() discard. HandlebarsViewResolver in handlebars-springmvc/src/main/java/com/github/jknack/handlebars/springmvc/HandlebarsViewResolver.java then passes the attacker-controlled name to handlebars.compile(), allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to read files accessible to the JVM when an application exposes a controller with a user-influenced view name. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.3.

Aug 20, 2026@cgauge/yaml npm package contains an arbitrary code execution vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript by embedding a custom !js YAMLCVE-2026-76833 · Other software · cgauge · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.4
@cgauge/yaml npm package contains an arbitrary code execution vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript by embedding a custom !js YAML tag whose construct callback unconditionally calls eval() on attacker-supplied string values during document parsing. Any application parsing untrusted YAML input with this library exposes full Node.js runtime authority, including environment variable access, filesystem read/write, network access, and subprocess execution, with no safe-mode alternative or opt-out mechanism available.

Aug 20, 2026n8n versions before 1.123.69, 2.33.4, and 2.34.1 contain a JavaScript task runner VM sandbox escape.CVE-2026-77077 · Other software · n8n-io · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.2
n8n versions before 1.123.69, 2.33.4, and 2.34.1 contain a JavaScript task runner VM sandbox escape. The runner's prototype-freezing routine covers globalThis functions but not internal module constructors such as EventEmitter, allowing an authenticated user with Code node access to exploit prototype pollution to execute arbitrary commands within the runner container. Because the polluted prototype is a process-wide object, the corruption persists across other tenants' Code node executions on the same shared runner. On v1.x instances without task runners enabled, Code node JavaScript runs directly in the main n8n process, where the impact could be higher.

Aug 19, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role could store JavaScript in a note and run it in the browser of anCVE-2026-76367 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 4
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role could store JavaScript in a note and run it in the browser of another user when that user opens the note. The stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR can treat existing note content as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) without sanitizing that content when the note format changes. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user who holds the "Incident Commander" Splunk SOAR role should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (Cloud) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-cloud/administer-soar-cloud/manage-your-splunk-soar-cloud-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-cloud) in the Splunk documentation.

Aug 19, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-69222 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. Prior to 10.27.2, the join filter in src/filters/array.ts computes complexity from array.length and separator length instead of the total string length produced by array.join(sep). The concat filter can cheaply double arrays of references, after which join materializes the referenced content while charging only for element count, allowing a template to exceed a configured memoryLimit by a large factor. The sibling array_to_sentence_string filter in src/filters/string.ts has the same accounting defect, and a crafted template can allocate toward V8's string or process memory limit and crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 10.27.2.

LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. From 10.26.0 until 10.27.1, the strip_html filter in src/filters/html.ts can enter an infinite loop when an input string contains <, includes at least one preceding character, and has no later >. In strip_html, the search for the next opener advances lt while the loop index remains unchanged when the closer search returns -1, and the equality-only stall guard does not exit because the loop index is less than lt.
