In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_{ldisc,serdev}: check percpu_init_rwsem() failure syzbot is reporting NULL pointer dereference at hci_uart_tty_close() [1], for rcu_sync_enter() is called without rcu_sync_init() due to hci_uart_tty_open() ignoring percpu_init_rwsem() failure. While we are at it, fix that hci_uart_register_device() ignores percpu_init_rwsem() failure and hci_uart_unregister_device() does not call percpu_free_rwsem().

  • Sep 16, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: avoid hci_dev_test_and_set_flag() in mgmt_init_hdev() syzbot is again reportingCVE-2022-50339 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: avoid hci_dev_test_and_set_flag() in mgmt_init_hdev() syzbot is again reporting attempt to cancel uninitialized work at mgmt_index_removed() [1], for setting of HCI_MGMT flag from mgmt_init_hdev() from hci_mgmt_cmd() from hci_sock_sendmsg() can race with testing of HCI_MGMT flag from mgmt_index_removed() from hci_sock_bind() due to lack of serialization via hci_dev_lock(). Since mgmt_init_hdev() is called with mgmt_chan_list_lock held, we can safely split hci_dev_test_and_set_flag() into hci_dev_test_flag() and hci_dev_set_flag(). Thus, in order to close this race, set HCI_MGMT flag after INIT_DELAYED_WORK() completed. This is a local fix based on mgmt_chan_list_lock. Lack of serialization via hci_dev_lock() might be causing different race conditions somewhere else. But a global fix based on hci_dev_lock() should deserve a future patch.

  • Sep 15, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: use RCU for hci_conn_params and iterate safely in hci_sync hci_update_accept_liCVE-2023-53252 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: use RCU for hci_conn_params and iterate safely in hci_sync hci_update_accept_list_sync iterates over hdev->pend_le_conns and hdev->pend_le_reports, and waits for controller events in the loop body, without holding hdev lock. Meanwhile, these lists and the items may be modified e.g. by le_scan_cleanup. This can invalidate the list cursor or any other item in the list, resulting to invalid behavior (eg use-after-free). Use RCU for the hci_conn_params action lists. Since the loop bodies in hci_sync block and we cannot use RCU or hdev->lock for the whole loop, copy list items first and then iterate on the copy. Only the flags field is written from elsewhere, so READ_ONCE/WRITE_ONCE should guarantee we read valid values. Free params everywhere with hci_conn_params_free so the cleanup is guaranteed to be done properly. This fixes the following, which can be triggered e.g. by BlueZ new mgmt-tester case "Add + Remove Device Nowait - Success", or by changing hci_le_set_cig_params to always return false, and running iso-tester: ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: s

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_devcd_dump: fix out-of-bounds via dev_coredumpv Currently both dev_coredumpv and skb_put_data in hci_devcd_dump use hdev->dump.head. However, dev_coredumpv can free the buffer. From dev_coredumpm_timeout documentation, which is used by dev_coredumpv: > Creates a new device coredump for the given device. If a previous one hasn't > been read yet, the new coredump is discarded. The data lifetime is determined > by the device coredump framework and when it is no longer needed the @free > function will be called to free the data. If the data has not been read by the userspace yet, dev_coredumpv will discard new buffer, freeing hdev->dump.head. This leads to vmalloc-out-of-bounds error when skb_put_data tries to access hdev->dump.head. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: nintendo: avoid bluetooth suspend/resume stalls Ensure we don't stall or panic the kernel when using bluetooth-connected controllers. This was reported as an issue on android devices using kernel 6.6 due to the resume hook which had been added for usb joycons. First, set a new state value to JOYCON_CTLR_STATE_SUSPENDED in a newly-added nintendo_hid_suspend. This makes sure we will not stall out the kernel waiting for input reports during led classdev suspend. The stalls could happen if connectivity is unreliable or lost to the controller prior to suspend. Second, since we lose connectivity during suspend, do not try joycon_init() for bluetooth controllers in the nintendo_hid_resume path. Tested via multiple suspend/resume flows when using the controller both in USB and bluetooth modes.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix null-ptr-deref in l2cap_sock_resume_cb() syzbot reported null-ptr-deref in l2cap_sock_resume_cb(). [0] l2cap_sock_resume_cb() has a similar problem that was fixed by commit 1bff51ea59a9 ("Bluetooth: fix use-after-free error in lock_sock_nested()"). Since both l2cap_sock_kill() and l2cap_sock_resume_cb() are executed under l2cap_sock_resume_cb(), we can avoid the issue simply by checking if chan->data is NULL. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: Fix use-after-free in vhci_flush() syzbot reported use-after-free in vhci_flush() without repro. [0] From the splat, a thread close()d a vhci file descriptor while its device was being used by iotcl() on another thread. Once the last fd refcnt is released, vhci_release() calls hci_unregister_dev(), hci_free_dev(), and kfree() for struct vhci_data, which is set to hci_dev->dev->driver_data. The problem is that there is no synchronisation after unlinking hdev from hci_dev_list in hci_unregister_dev(). There might be another thread still accessing the hdev which was fetched before the unlink operation. We can use SRCU for such synchronisation. Let's run hci_dev_reset() under SRCU and wait for its completion in hci_unregister_dev(). Another option would be to restore hci_dev->destruct(), which was removed in commit 587ae086f6e4 ("Bluetooth: Remove unused hci-destruct cb"). However, this would not be a good solution, as we should not run hci_unregister_dev() while there are in-flight ioctl() requests, which could lead to another data-race KCSAN splat. Note that other drivers seem to have

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
