Sep 2, 2026async-tar is a tar archive reading/writing library for async Rust.CVE-2026-53600 · Other software · dignifiedquire · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
async-tar is a tar archive reading/writing library for async Rust. Prior to version 0.6.1, async-tar mis-applies a buffered PAX size extension to an intermediary extension header (a GNU longname L, a GNU longlink K, or a PAX x/g header) instead of to the next file entry. POSIX requires a PAX extended-header record set to describe the next file entry, never an intervening extension header. Because poll_next_raw (src/archive.rs) threads the buffered PAX records into the size computation of whatever raw header it reads next — and that header can be an intermediary L — the stream cursor is advanced by an attacker-chosen amount when the L body is consumed. The parser then desyncs relative to a POSIX-correct tar parser (e.g. GNU tar), reading subsequent bytes at the wrong block boundary. This issue has been patched in version 0.6.1.

Aug 30, 2026SiYuan Windows installer before version 3.8.1 (affected versions >= 2.0.14) contains an uncontrolled search path element vulnerability in its NSIS installer, whCVE-2026-82649 · Other software · siyuan-note · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7
SiYuan Windows installer before version 3.8.1 (affected versions >= 2.0.14) contains an uncontrolled search path element vulnerability in its NSIS installer, which invokes system executables such as TASKKILL by name rather than by absolute path. Because NSIS nsExec::Exec resolves these calls using a search path that includes the installer's own launch directory ahead of System32, an attacker who plants a malicious executable (e.g., a renamed TASKKILL.exe) in that directory can have it executed when the installer runs. These calls occur in electron-builder's preInit hook before the license page is displayed, and with an all-users (elevated) install the planted binary executes with an elevated token, resulting in local privilege escalation.

Aug 30, 2026Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Data Query Logic vulnerability in ash-project ash_sql allows a user who supplies a search term to contains/2, strCVE-2026-78691 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1
Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Data Query Logic vulnerability in ash-project ash_sql allows a user who supplies a search term to contains/2, string_starts_with/2, or string_ends_with/2 to inject live SQL LIKE wildcards, turning a literal substring search into an attacker-controlled pattern match. The escape helpers in AshSql.Expr prefix % and _ with a backslash but never escape a backslash already present in the input. Because backslash is the default LIKE escape character, the escaping defeats itself: the input \% becomes the pattern fragment \\%, where \\ is a literal backslash and the attacker's % remains a live wildcard. The search value stays parameterized, so this is confined to the LIKE pattern grammar rather than full SQL. An attacker can widen matches to probe values, slip past a negated contains(...) guard, or crash the query with a trailing lone backslash. This issue affects ash_sql: from 0.1.1-rc.10 before 0.7.1.

Aug 28, 2026Arc is an open, SQL-native time-series database for telemetry.CVE-2026-55678 · Other software · Basekick-Labs · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
Arc is an open, SQL-native time-series database for telemetry. From 26.02.1 until 26.06.2, Arc Enterprise clustering accepts cluster join requests without authentication when cluster.enabled is true but cluster.shared_secret is not configured. The defaults in internal/config/config.go set cluster.enabled to false, cluster.cluster_name to arc-cluster, cluster.coordinator_addr to :9100, cluster.shared_secret to an empty value, and cluster.tls_enabled to false, while cmd/arc/main.go requires cluster.shared_secret only when cluster.replication_enabled is true. JoinRequest in internal/cluster/protocol/messages.go accepts attacker-controlled node_id, role, raft_addr, api_addr, and coord_addr values, plus optional auth_nonce, auth_timestamp, and auth_hmac fields. The join path in internal/cluster/coordinator.go validates HMAC authentication only when the configured shared secret is non-empty and otherwise proceeds after only the cluster-name check. An accepted node is marked healthy, added as a Raft voter or registered locally, and becomes available through internal/cluster/registry.go to the routing logic in internal/cluster/router.go. Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-77438 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the public share-search endpoint does not enforce the per-note shareCredentials and shareHiddenFromTree controls, allowing an unauthenticated visitor to read the titles, tree paths, and content of protected shared notes. The endpoint authorizes only the ancestor note supplied in the request and then runs a full-text search across the entire published subtree, returning each matching note's title, share identifier, and hierarchical path without re-checking whether that individual note requires a share password or is hidden from the navigation tree. Because the search matches note content, an attacker can enumerate protected notes and use the endpoint as a boolean oracle that confirms arbitrary substrings, recovering the full contents of notes that should be gated behind a password. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.

RedisChatMemoryRepository.findByMetadata() builds RediSearch tag and text queries from caller-supplied metadata values without applying RediSearchUtil.escape(), unlike get(), clear(), and findByTimeRange() in the same class which do escape their inputs. Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-53580 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions prior to 0.104.0, the automatic image-download feature accepts file:// URLs in a note's img tags and reads the referenced local file with no path validation, allowing any authenticated user to disclose arbitrary files readable by the Trilium process. When a text note is saved, Trilium scans its HTML for image sources and downloads each external one; because the HTML sanitizer keeps file as an allowed scheme, a source such as file:///etc/passwd is passed straight to a filesystem read and its contents are stored as a note attachment the user can then retrieve. Pointing the same primitive at an unbounded source such as /dev/zero causes uncontrolled memory allocation that crashes the server process. The feature is enabled by default and is reachable through the web UI, the ETAPI, the web clipper, and note imports, requiring only an authenticated session or an ETAPI token. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0

Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-53579 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter sanitizes HTML only for text notes and excludes the book note type, whose content is stored without sanitization and later rendered as HTML, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to embed a payload that executes as script. A book note's content is routed through the same rendering path as text notes and injected into the page with jQuery's html method when the note is shown as a grid-view preview card, so a malicious note survives Safe import and runs as soon as the victim opens the containing note. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-53578 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. A mind map node can carry a dangerouslySetInnerHTML property that the Mind Elixir library assigns directly to a node's innerHTML, so a malicious note survives Safe import and executes script as soon as the victim opens the imported mind map. Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-48996 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter does not sanitize note titles, and the GeoMap note view interpolates a marker note's title into raw HTML that is rendered as innerHTML, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to inject script that runs when the map is displayed. Because Safe import neutralizes scripts but never escapes titles, a note whose title contains an HTML event-handler payload survives the import and executes as soon as the victim opens the GeoMap that renders its marker. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. Aug 27, 2026Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application.CVE-2026-47727 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6
Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions prior to 0.104.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter fails to neutralize the shareTemplate relation because that relation is not marked as dangerous, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to plant a server-side template that leads to remote code execution. The relation is omitted from the built-in list of dangerous attributes, so unlike other code-loading relations it is not disabled on import, and when the victim later publishes the imported note the public share renderer feeds the linked EJS code note's raw bytes into ejs.render, which compiles them in the server's Node process. An unauthenticated request to the shared note then executes the attacker's JavaScript with full access to require, process, the filesystem, and the network. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.

NLTK versions before 3.10.0 contain a regular expression denial of service vulnerability in Text.findall() and TokenSearcher.findall() methods that accept user-supplied regular expressions without validation or timeout. Attackers can supply crafted regex patterns that cause catastrophic backtracking, resulting in indefinite CPU saturation and denial of service to all users of the Python process.

Aug 26, 2026LeafWiki extracts an uploaded ZIP archive without limiting how much data it will write.CVE-2026-80189 · Other software · perber · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
LeafWiki extracts an uploaded ZIP archive without limiting how much data it will write. ZipExtractor.ExtractToDir in internal/importer/zip_extractor.go opens each entry and copies it to the destination with io.Copy, which runs to the end of the decompressed stream, so only the size of the uploaded archive is bounded and the size it expands to is not. The import route that reaches this code requires the Editor or Admin role, and the upload itself is capped at 500 MiB compressed. Because a ZIP entry can compress at a very high ratio, an archive well inside that cap can expand to hundreds of gigabytes as it is written out. The extraction directory defaults to a location under the operating system temporary directory, so the written data consumes the disk backing that path, which on a tmpfs-backed temporary directory is memory. A user holding the Editor role can therefore exhaust the storage the service depends on and keep it from serving, using far more resource than the upload limit alone would permit.

Aug 25, 2026rclone versions >= v1.72.0 and <= v1.74.4 (fixed in v1.75.0) contain multiple denial-of-service vulnerabilities in the archive backend's SquashFS parser, which CVE-2026-79775 · Other software · rclone · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1
rclone versions >= v1.72.0 and <= v1.74.4 (fixed in v1.75.0) contain multiple denial-of-service vulnerabilities in the archive backend's SquashFS parser, which relies on the github.com/diskfs/go-diskfs dependency. The parser fails to validate attacker-controlled superblock and metadata values before use. An attacker who can place or modify a SquashFS image in storage exposed through an rclone :archive: remote can craft a malicious image that triggers an integer division-by-zero panic (zero block size), an out-of-bounds slice panic (out-of-range inode metadata offset), or a non-progress CPU loop (truncated metadata stream). Variants 1 and 2 terminate the rclone process and, via 'rclone serve sftp', can crash the entire SFTP server; variant 3 causes sustained CPU consumption. Parsing is lazy, so a victim or remote client must address or descend into the malicious archive object to trigger it.

The extension passes the user-supplied search query parameter to Apache Solr without restricting advanced Solr query syntax such as wildcards, field selectors and range queries. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can use this syntax to enumerate indexed field names and extract their stored values through boolean- and range-based blind extraction techniques, independent of any site-specific configuration.

The extension's indexer passed every field value returned by content object rendering through PHP's unserialize() function when transferring multi-value data for the SOLR_CLASSIFICATION, SOLR_MULTIVALUE and SOLR_RELATION content object types, rather than a safe format. If user-generated content saved in the TYPO3 database can reach an indexed field, this exposes a PHP Object Injection surface.

The extension allows a request-provided additionalFilters parameter to register a named siteHash filter before the system's own siteHash filter is applied, and the query builder does not overwrite an already-registered named filter. In a shared Solr core serving multiple TYPO3 sites, a visitor can use this to read public documents belonging to another site.
