Jul 27, 2026The Erlang/OTP ssl application does not detect cycles when reconstructing an incomplete peer certificate chain during a TLS or DTLS handshake.CVE-2026-58227 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.7
The Erlang/OTP ssl application does not detect cycles when reconstructing an incomplete peer certificate chain during a TLS or DTLS handshake. In ssl_certificate:handle_incomplete_chain/5, the received chain is passed to ssl_certificate:build_certificate_chain/5, which walks issuer relationships via ssl_certificate:do_certificate_chain/7 with no cycle detection and no depth limit. When the peer supplies two mutually cross-signed certificates in unordered form (A issues B, B issues A), the issuer lookup alternates between the two certificates and the pair of functions recurses indefinitely, growing the call stack and chain accumulator without bound. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted certificate chain in a TLS or DTLS Certificate handshake message to exhaust available memory and crash the BEAM node. Only a TCP connection and a partial handshake are required; no authentication or completed handshake is needed, and both TLS/DTLS servers and clients are affected when processing peer certificate messages. This issue affects OTP from OTP 23.2 before OTP 29.0.4, OTP 28.5.0.4 and OTP 27.3.4.15, corresponding to ssl from 10.2 before 11.7.4, 11.6.0.4 and 11.2.12.11.

Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: move policy_bydst RCU sync from per-netns .exit to .pre_exit The struct pernet_operaCVE-2026-64525 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: move policy_bydst RCU sync from per-netns .exit to .pre_exit The struct pernet_operations docstring in include/net/net_namespace.h explicitly warns against blocking RCU primitives in .exit handlers: Exit methods using blocking RCU primitives, such as synchronize_rcu(), should be implemented via exit_batch. [...] Please, avoid synchronize_rcu() at all, where it's possible. Note that a combination of pre_exit() and exit() can be used, since a synchronize_rcu() is guaranteed between the calls. xfrm_policy_fini() violates this: it calls synchronize_rcu() before freeing the policy_bydst hash tables (so no RCU reader is mid- traversal at free time), but runs from xfrm_net_ops.exit -- once per namespace -- so a cleanup_net() of N namespaces pays N full RCU grace periods serially. Use the documented pre_exit/exit split. Move the policy flush (and the workqueue drains it depends on) into a new .pre_exit handler; xfrm_policy_fini() then runs in .exit and frees the hash tables after the synchronize_rcu_expedited() that cleanup_net() guarantees between the two phases. Providing O(1) RCU

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/mlx5: Fix racy bitfields and tighten struct layout Bitfield operations are not atomic, they use a read-modify-write pattern, therefore we should be careful not to pack bitfields that can be concurrently updated into the same storage unit. This split takes a binary approach: flags that are only modified pre/post open/close remain bitfields, flags modified from user action, including actions that reach across to another device (ex. reset) use dedicated storage units. Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: igmp: remove multicast group from hash table on device destruction When a device is CVE-2026-64423 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: igmp: remove multicast group from hash table on device destruction When a device is destroyed under RTNL, ip_mc_destroy_dev() iterates through the multicast list and calls ip_ma_put() on each membership, scheduling them for RCU reclamation. However, they are not unlinked from the device's multicast hash table (mc_hash). Since the device remains published in dev->ip_ptr until after ip_mc_destroy_dev() completes, concurrent RCU readers traversing mc_hash can still locate and access the multicast group after its refcount is decremented. If the RCU callback runs and frees the group while a reader is accessing it, a use-after-free occurs. Fix this by unlinking the multicast group from mc_hash using ip_mc_hash_remove() before scheduling it for reclamation. Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix UAF of struct file_lock in SMB2_LOCK deferred-lock cancellation When a blockingCVE-2026-64396 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix UAF of struct file_lock in SMB2_LOCK deferred-lock cancellation When a blocking byte-range lock request is deferred in the FILE_LOCK_DEFERRED path, ksmbd registers the asynchronous work into the connection's async_requests list via setup_async_work(). The cancel callback smb2_remove_blocked_lock() holds a reference to the flock. If the lock waiter is subsequently woken up but the work state is no longer KSMBD_WORK_ACTIVE (e.g., due to a concurrent cancellation), the cleanup path calls locks_free_lock(flock) without dequeuing the work from the async_requests list. Concurrently, smb2_cancel() walks the list under conn->request_lock and invokes the cancel callback, which then dereferences the already freed 'flock'. This leads to a slab-use-after-free inside __wake_up_common. Fix this by restructuring the cleanup logic after the worker returns from ksmbd_vfs_posix_lock_wait(). Move list_del(&smb_lock->llist) and release_async_work(work) to the top of the cleanup block. This guarantees that the async work is completely dequeued and serialized under conn->request_lock before locks_free_lock(flock) is calle

Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Validate BTF repeated field counts before expansion btf_parse_struct_metas() walks usCVE-2026-64354 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Validate BTF repeated field counts before expansion btf_parse_struct_metas() walks user-supplied BTF during BPF_BTF_LOAD, and btf_repeat_fields() expands repeatable fields from array elements into the fixed BTF_FIELDS_MAX scratch array used by btf_parse_fields(). The remaining-capacity check performs the expanded field count calculation in u32. A malformed BTF can wrap that calculation, causing the check to pass even when the expanded field count exceeds the scratch array capacity. The following memcpy() can then write past the end of the array. Use checked addition and multiplication before copying repeated fields and reject impossible counts.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: srcu: Don't queue workqueue handlers to never-online CPUs While an srcu_struct structure is in the midst of switching from CPU-0 to all-CPUs state, it can attempt to invoke callbacks for CPUs that have never been online. Worse yet, it can attempt in invoke callbacks for CPUs that never will be online, even including imaginary CPUs not in cpu_possible_mask. This can cause hangs on s390, which is not set up to deal with workqueue handlers being scheduled on such CPUs. This commit therefore causes Tree SRCU to refrain from queueing workqueue handlers on CPUs that have not yet (and might never) come online. Because callbacks are not invoked on CPUs that have not been online, it is an error to invoke call_srcu(), synchronize_srcu(), or synchronize_srcu_expedited() on a CPU that is not yet fully online. However, it turns out to be less code to redirect the callbacks from too-early invocations of call_srcu() than to warn about such invocations. This commit therefore also redirects callbacks queued on not-yet-fully-online CPUs to the boot CPU.

Jul 22, 2026If BIND encounters a particular invalid data structure in a DNS record, it will accept the invalid data, and may subsequently abort and exit.CVE-2026-10822 · Other software · ISC · reported by security-officer@isc.orgMedium 6.5
If BIND encounters a particular invalid data structure in a DNS record, it will accept the invalid data, and may subsequently abort and exit. BIND will first need to store a DNS record for a key (KEY, DNSKEY, etc.). That key must specify a PRIVATEDNS algorithm (253), and in the algorithm identifier, improperly give a length longer than the actual identifier data. The invalid identifier will be stored. If BIND later needs to render that record to text, it will use the invalid length during processing, leading to a consistency check failing. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.18.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.24-S1.

In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.15.0 up to and including 1.25.1, the TLS server name used for DNS-over-TLS (DoT) forwarded queries is tied to a struct's ('serviced_query') lifetime but also referenced by another struct ('waiting_tcp'). When the owning struct is jostled out of the mesh while the DoT TCP stream is still handshaking it frees the storage behind the referenced string and if the TLS stream then errors out, it dereferences the freed pointer. The dereference is read-only and the practical impact is a daemon crash resulting in denial of service. A malicious actor that knows a DoT forwarding/stub Unbound's configuration could exploit the vulnerability by quering records in the appropriate zone while keeping Unbound uder pressure so that the jostle logic kicks in. If answers for the vulnerable zone are slow, the likelihood of jostling such queries is higher, although the timing of the jostle needs to be precise. Requirements for a vulnerable Unbound is the existence of a stub/forward zone configured for DoT together with a configured '#authname' suffix on the server identification. The connectivity to the server needs to exhibit a transient failure at the correct time in order to kic

Jul 21, 2026A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in snap-confine, a set-capabilities core component used internally by Canonical snapd to construct the secure CVE-2026-8933 · Other software · Canonical · reported by security@ubuntu.comHigh 7.8
A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in snap-confine, a set-capabilities core component used internally by Canonical snapd to construct the secure execution environment for snap applications. This vulnerability uniquely affects versions of snap-confine configured with set-capabilities (rather than standard set-uid-root installations). Due to a flaw in how privilege boundaries or security sandboxes are initialized when the binary runs under limited ambient capabilities, a local, unprivileged attacker can exploit this behavior to bypass intended restrictions and execute arbitrary code. Successful exploitation allows the local user to elevate their privileges to full root authority.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: wcove: don't write past struct pd_message in wcove_read_rx_buffer() wcove_read_rx_buffer() copies the PD RX FIFO into the caller's struct pd_message with for (i = 0; i < USBC_RXINFO_RXBYTES(info); i++) regmap_read(wcove->regmap, USBC_RX_DATA + i, msg + i); which has two problems: USBC_RXINFO_RXBYTES() is a 5-bit field (max 31) while struct pd_message is 30 bytes (__le16 header + __le32 payload[PD_MAX_PAYLOAD], packed). The byte count latched in RXINFO is the number of bytes the port partner put on the wire, so a malicious partner that transmits a 31-byte frame can drive the loop one byte past the destination if the WCOVE BMC receiver does not enforce the PD object-count limit in hardware. The existing FIXME flagged this as unverified. Independently, regmap_read() takes an unsigned int * and stores a full unsigned int at the destination. Passing the byte pointer msg + i means each iteration writes four bytes; the high three are zero (val_bits is 8) and are normally overwritten by the next iteration, but the final iteration's high bytes are not. With RXBYTES == 30 the i == 29 iteration already wr

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/ionic: bound node_desc sysfs read with %.64s node_desc[64] in struct ib_device is not guaranteed to be NUL- terminated. The core IB sysfs handler uses "%.64s" for exactly this reason (drivers/infiniband/core/sysfs.c:1307), since node_desc_store() performs a raw memcpy of up to IB_DEVICE_NODE_DESC_MAX bytes with no NUL termination: memcpy(desc.node_desc, buf, min_t(int, count, IB_DEVICE_NODE_DESC_MAX)); If exactly 64 bytes are written via the node_desc sysfs file, the array contains no NUL byte. The ionic hca_type_show() handler uses unbounded "%s" and will read past the end of node_desc into adjacent fields of struct ib_device until it encounters a NUL. ionic supports IB_DEVICE_MODIFY_NODE_DESC, so this is triggerable by userspace. Match the core handler and bound the format specifier.

Jul 17, 2026OpenMcdf is a fully .NET / C# library to manipulate Compound File Binary File Format files, also known as Structured Storage.CVE-2026-45785 · Other software · openmcdf · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
OpenMcdf is a fully .NET / C# library to manipulate Compound File Binary File Format files, also known as Structured Storage. In 3.1.3 and earlier, the BST name-lookup loop in DirectoryTree.TryGetDirectoryEntry (OpenMcdf/DirectoryTree.cs:35-46) walks directory entries by repeatedly calling directories.TryGetSibling(child, siblingType, validateColor). A crafted CFB file with cyclic Left/Right sibling links among directory entries, constructed so the per-step BST-order check in TryGetSibling (DirectoryEntries.cs:84-85) is satisfied at every step, drives this while (child is not null) loop forever. There is no cycle detection in TryGetDirectoryEntry, and the bug is reachable from RootStorage.OpenStorage(name), TryOpenStorage(name), OpenStream(name), and TryOpenStream(name), causing an unrecoverable denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.4.

AWS HealthOmics is a HIPAA-eligible service that fully manages the compute, storage, and workflow engine infrastructure required to run bioinformatics analyses at scale for clinical diagnostics, drug discovery, and agricultural research. Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory in the linting tools of the AWS HealthOmics MCP Server (aws-healthomics-mcp-server) before version 0.0.36 might allow an actor who can influence the MCP agent to write an actor-controlled content to arbitrary locations outside the intended workflow bundle directory, via directory traversal sequences in the workflow_files input. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 0.0.36 or later.

Jul 14, 2026### Description `Symfony\Component\Mime\Address` is the value-object every Symfony Mailer address (to/cc/bcc/from/reply-to) flows through; its constructor is dCVE-2026-45067 · Other software · symfony · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
### Description `Symfony\Component\Mime\Address` is the value-object every Symfony Mailer address (to/cc/bcc/from/reply-to) flows through; its constructor is documented as validating the address and throwing on invalid input, so developers treat it as a security boundary. The constructor accepts email addresses whose local-part (the part before `@`) is an RFC-5322 *quoted string* containing raw `\r\n` bytes — e.g. `"x\r\nBcc: attacker@evil"@example.com`. The stored address is later emitted verbatim into (1) the rendered message headers and (2) `SmtpTransport`'s `MAIL FROM:<...>` / `RCPT TO:<...>` protocol lines, turning the embedded CRLF into a new mail header and/or a new SMTP command. ### Resolution The `Address` constructor now rejects addresses containing line breaks. The patch for this issue is available [here](https://github.com/symfony/symfony/commit/dc2dbd29211eb4ddc451373fa1374fb926e94604) for branch 5.4. ### Credits We would like to thank Claude Mythos Preview (via Project Glasswing) for reporting the issue and providing the fix.

Perl versions before 5.40.5-RC1, from 5.41.0 before 5.42.3-RC1, from 5.43.0 before 5.43.11 have an integer overflow in S_measure_struct leading to an out-of-bounds heap read in pack and unpack. S_measure_struct adds each item's size times its repeat count to a running total with no overflow check, so a large repeat count in a pack or unpack template wraps the signed SSize_t total negative. The @, X, and x position codes then guard their moves with a signed length comparison that passes when the length is negative, advancing the buffer pointer out of bounds. A template derived from untrusted input can read heap memory past the buffer and return it to the caller.

Jul 10, 2026Logto is the modern, open-source auth infrastructure for SaaS and AI apps.CVE-2026-55789 · Other software · logto-io · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5
Logto is the modern, open-source auth infrastructure for SaaS and AI apps. Prior to 1.41.0, Logto's self-hosted SAML application IdP built the signed SAML response and assertion by string-substituting user-controlled profile attributes such as name, email, and custom attribute-mapping values into element-text placeholders of a SAML XML template using samlify 2.10.0, which left those placeholders unescaped. An authenticated low-privilege user could place XML markup in a profile attribute so Logto signed a forged SAML attribute, such as an arbitrary role, allowing privilege escalation at relying Service Providers that authorize on SAML attributes.
