  • Jul 13, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: fix zerocopy completion for multi-skb sends When a large message is fragmentCVE-2026-53365 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: fix zerocopy completion for multi-skb sends When a large message is fragmented into multiple skbs, the zerocopy uarg is only allocated and attached to the last skb in the loop. Non-final skbs carry pinned user pages with no completion tracking, so the kernel has no way to notify userspace when those pages are safe to reuse. If the loop breaks early the uarg is never allocated at all, leaking pinned pages with no completion notification. Fix this by following the approach used by TCP: allocate the zerocopy uarg (if not provided by the caller) before the send loop and attach it to every skb via skb_zcopy_set(), which takes a reference per skb. Each skb's completion properly decrements the refcount, and the notification only fires after the last skb is freed. On failure, if no data was sent, the uarg is cleanly aborted via net_zcopy_put_abort(). This issue was initially discovered by sashiko while reviewing commit 1cb36e252211 ("vsock/virtio: fix MSG_ZEROCOPY pinned-pages accounting") but was pre-existing.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rds: clear i_sends on setup unwind The RDS IB connection teardown path is written so it can run during partial startup and on repeated shutdown attempts. It uses NULL pointers to distinguish resources that are still owned from resources that have already been released. When rds_ib_setup_qp() fails after allocating i_sends but before allocating i_recvs, the sends_out path frees i_sends without clearing the pointer. A later shutdown pass can still treat that stale pointer as a live send ring allocation. Clear i_sends after vfree() in the error unwind path so the existing shutdown logic continues to use the correct ownership state.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: bnep: reject short frames before parsing A BNEP peer can send a short BNEP SDU. bnep_rx_frame() reads the packet type byte immediately and, for control packets, reads the control opcode and setup UUID-size byte before proving that those bytes are present. bnep_rx_control() also dereferences the control opcode without rejecting an empty control payload. Use skb_pull_data() for the fixed fields in bnep_rx_frame() so a NULL return gates each dereference. Split the control handler so the frame path can pass an opcode that has already been pulled, and keep the byte-buffer wrapper for extension control payloads. For BNEP_SETUP_CONN_REQ, name the UUID-size byte before pulling the setup payload. struct bnep_setup_conn_req carries destination and source service UUIDs after that byte, each uuid_size bytes, so the parser now documents that tuple explicitly instead of leaving the pull length as an opaque multiplication. Validation reproduced this kernel report: KASAN slab-out-of-bounds in bnep_rx_frame.isra.0+0x130c/0x1790 The buggy address belongs to the object at ffff88800c0f7908 which belongs to the cache km

In stratix10_rsu_probe(), the error paths for COMMAND_RSU_DCMF_VERSION, COMMAND_RSU_DCMF_STATUS, COMMAND_RSU_MAX_RETRY and COMMAND_RSU_GET_SPT_TABLE call stratix10_svc_free_channel() - which sets chan->scl to NULL - but then fall through and queue the next request on the same channel. The next svc kthread that runs will dereference pdata->chan->scl in its receive callback path, triggering a NULL pointer dereference identical to the one fixed by commit c45f7263100c ("firmware: stratix10-rsu: Fix NULL pointer dereference when RSU is disabled") for the COMMAND_RSU_STATUS path. Apply the same cleanup pattern to the remaining failure paths: remove the async client, free the channel, and return early so no further messages are queued on a channel whose scl has been cleared. While at it, clean up stratix10_rsu_probe() in two ways without changing behavior: - Drop redundant zero-initialization of fields already cleare

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hv_netvsc: use kmap_local_page in netvsc_copy_to_send_buf netvsc_copy_to_send_buf() copies page buffer entries into the VMBus send buffer using phys_to_virt() on the entry PFN. Entries for the RNDIS header and the skb linear data come from kmalloc'd memory and are always in the kernel direct map, but entries for skb fragments reference page cache or user pages, which on 32-bit x86 with CONFIG_HIGHMEM=y can live above the LOWMEM boundary. For such a page phys_to_virt() returns an address outside the direct map and the subsequent memcpy() faults on the transmit softirq path, which is fatal. Map the pages with kmap_local_page() instead, handling two properties of the page buffer entries: - pb[i].pfn is a Hyper-V PFN at HV_HYP_PAGE_SIZE (4K) granularity, not a native PFN. Reconstruct the physical address first and derive the native page from it, so the mapping stays correct where PAGE_SIZE > HV_HYP_PAGE_SIZE (e.g. arm64 with 64K pages). - Since commit 41a6328b2c55 ("hv_netvsc: Preserve contiguous PFN grouping in the page buffer array"), an entry describes a full physically contiguous fragment and

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: fix NULL deref in rds_ib_send_cqe_handler() on masked atomic completion rds_ib_xmit_atomic() always programs a masked atomic opcode (IB_WR_MASKED_ATOMIC_CMP_AND_SWP or IB_WR_MASKED_ATOMIC_FETCH_AND_ADD) for every RDS atomic cmsg. But the completion-side switch in rds_ib_send_unmap_op() only handles the non-masked opcodes, so a masked atomic completion falls through to default and returns rm == NULL while send->s_op is left set. rds_ib_send_cqe_handler() then dereferences the NULL rm via rm->m_final_op, oopsing in softirq context. An unprivileged AF_RDS sendmsg() of an atomic cmsg over an active RDS/IB connection triggers it; on hardware that natively accepts masked atomics (mlx4, mlx5) no extra setup is needed. • Jun 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: espintcp: do not reuse an in-progress partial send espintcp keeps a single in-flightCVE-2026-52935 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: espintcp: do not reuse an in-progress partial send espintcp keeps a single in-flight transmit in ctx->partial. Before building a new sk_msg, espintcp_sendmsg() first tries to flush that state through espintcp_push_msgs(). For blocking callers, espintcp_push_msgs() may return success even when the previous partial send is still pending. espintcp_sendmsg() would then reinitialize emsg->skmsg and reuse ctx->partial while the old transfer still owns that state. Do not rebuild the send message when ctx->partial is still in progress. If espintcp_push_msgs() returns with emsg->len still set, fail the new send instead of overwriting the live partial state. This is a memory-safety fix: reusing the live partial-send state can leave a stale offset attached to a new sk_msg and lead to an out-of- bounds read in the send path. tcp_sendmsg_locked() already handles waiting for send buffer memory, so the fix here is just to preserve espintcp's one-message-at-a-time transmit state.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: avoid use of uninit sender vars batadv_tp_recv_ack() and batadv_tp_stop() are only valid for tp_vars in the BATADV_TP_SENDER role. When called with a BATADV_TP_RECEIVER role, it proceeds to read sender-only members that were never initialized, leading to undefined behavior. This can be triggered when a node that is currently acting as a receiver in an ongoing tp_meter session receives a malicious ACK packet. Guard against this by checking tp_vars->role immediately after the lookup and bailing out if it is not BATADV_TP_SENDER, before any of those members are accessed.

  • Jun 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: fix tp_meter counter underflow during shutdown batadv_tp_sender_shutdown() uncCVE-2026-52919 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: fix tp_meter counter underflow during shutdown batadv_tp_sender_shutdown() unconditionally decrements the "sending" atomic counter. If multiple paths (e.g. timeout, user cancel, and normal finish) call this function, the counter can underflow to -1. Since the sender logic treats any non-zero value as "still sending", a negative value causes the sender kthread to loop indefinitely. This leads to a use-after-free when the interface is removed while the zombie thread is still active. Fix this by using atomic_xchg() to ensure the counter only transitions from 1 to 0 once.
