  • Jul 10, 2026Grist is spreadsheet software using Python as its formula language.CVE-2026-55665 · Other software · gristlabs · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

Grist is spreadsheet software using Python as its formula language. Prior to 1.7.15, Grist contained two cross-site scripting vulnerabilities where an attacker-controlled value reached a link's href without scheme validation, so a javascript URL could run in a victim's Grist origin on a single click. On the account-selection page, /welcome/select-account used its next query parameter as the account buttons' link target. In document tours, the GristDocTour table's Link_URL column became a clickable button, allowing an editor of a shared document to store a javascript URL there that ran when another user opened the document and clicked the tour link. Because the script runs in the victim's authenticated session, it can call Grist APIs as the victim, reading or modifying data and changing sharing settings and access rules. A document editor could therefore escalate to owner-level access. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.15.

  • Jul 10, 2026Grist is spreadsheet software using Python as its formula language.CVE-2026-55664 · Other software · gristlabs · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

Grist is spreadsheet software using Python as its formula language. Prior to 1.7.15, the GET /forms endpoint read table and column metadata without applying the document's access rules and did not check that the requested section was actually a form. A user with only partial read access, including public access on a publicly viewable document, could request the metadata of any widget and reveal table and column structure that access rules would otherwise hide, even in documents that contain no forms. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.15.

  • Jul 10, 2026Grist is spreadsheet software using Python as its formula language.CVE-2026-55659 · Other software · gristlabs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7

Grist is spreadsheet software using Python as its formula language. Prior to 1.7.15, several server-rendered Grist pages embedded user-controlled values into the page and into inline scripts without fully escaping them, allowing cross-site scripting. On the main application page, a document's name or description, set by a document editor, is rendered into the page that other users load when opening the document. On the OAuth2 end-of-flow page, the openerOrigin request parameter was reflected back into the served page. Injected script runs in the victim's Grist origin and can act through the authenticated session, reading or modifying data and changing sharing settings and access rules. A document editor could therefore escalate to owner-level access. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.15.

Pipecat is an open-source Python framework for building real-time voice and multimodal conversational agents. Prior to 1.4.0, the pipecat development runner registers a /ws WebSocket endpoint for telephony testing that accepts connections without authentication, reads an attacker-supplied callSid from a Twilio stream-start handshake in src/pipecat/runner/utils.py, and passes it to TwilioFrameSerializer so the server can issue an authenticated Twilio REST API hang-up request with the server operator's credentials; equivalent unauthenticated call-control sinks exist for Telnyx and Plivo. SQL injection vulnerabilities in the Snowflake Snowpark Python SDK (snowpark-python) versions prior to 1.53.0 could allow authenticated low-privilege users to execute SQL beyond their authorization scope. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by embedding SQL payloads in source database column names to escalate privileges via the DataFrameReader.dbapi() API by supplying a specially crafted location parameter to DataFrameWriter write methods to redirect a COPY INTO to an arbitrary source query, or by including a backslash-single-quote sequence in an export path to defeat the normalize_path() sanitizer and inject SQL via DataFrame.to_csv(). Successful exploitation may result in source database compromise, unauthorized cross-tenant data exfiltration, or unauthorized read of Snowflake account data.

Trail of Bits fickling versions up to and including 0.1.10 do not include the Python standard library modules _posixsubprocess, site, and atexit in the UNSAFE_IMPORTS denylist (fickle.py). Because these modules are absent from the denylist, fickling's check_safety() function returns LIKELY_SAFE with zero findings for pickle payloads that invoke dangerous functions including _posixsubprocess.fork_exec (C-level process spawner capable of executing arbitrary binaries), site.execsitecustomize (executes arbitrary site customization code), and atexit._run_exitfuncs (triggers all registered exit handler callbacks). The fickling.load() API chains check_safety() into pickle.loads() as an explicit security gate; a LIKELY_SAFE verdict causes the payload to be deserialized and executed. This shares the same root cause as CVE-2026-22607 (cProfile), CVE-2025-67748 (pty), and CVE-2025-67747 (marshal/types). OvertlyBadEvals does not flag these modules because they are standard library imports. UnsafeImports does not flag them because they are not in the denylist. The UnusedVariables heuristic is defeated by the SETITEMS opcode pattern.

pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.13.3, a maliciously crafted PDF can cause DoS. An attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to large memory usage, as MAX_DECLARED_STREAM_LENGTH is sometimes ignored. This requires parsing a content stream without a /Length value. This issue has been fixed in version 6.13.3.

LLaMA-Factory through 0.9.5 contains a remote code execution vulnerability that allows attackers with WebUI access to execute arbitrary Python code by supplying a malicious model path in the Chat or Training interfaces. The application passes user-supplied model path input unvalidated into AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained() and AutoModel.from_pretrained() with a hardcoded trust_remote_code=True parameter, causing the Hugging Face transformers library to fetch and execute arbitrary code from a remote or local model repository with the privileges of the server process.

  • Jun 26, 2026mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform.CVE-2026-55448 · Other software · jdx · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. From 2026.3.15 until 2026.6.4, mise loads github.credential_command from local project config before any trust decision, then executes that value with sh -c when resolving a GitHub token. An attacker who can place a .mise.toml in a repository can execute arbitrary shell commands when the victim runs a GitHub-related mise command and no higher-priority GitHub token environment variable is set. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.6.4.

  • Jun 26, 2026mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform.CVE-2026-55441 · Other software · jdx · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.6.4, mise's trust feature gates config files (mise.toml, .tool-versions) through trust_check, but task-include files are loaded on a path that never reaches it. When a directory has a task-include dir (mise-tasks/, .mise/tasks/, …) but no config file, mise falls back to the default includes and renders each task's tera fields — and that tera environment has exec() registered. A {{ exec(command='…') }} in any rendered field runs arbitrary commands the moment the tasks are merely listed. There's no config file to gate on, so no trust prompt ever appears. Read-only commands trigger it: mise tasks, mise task ls, mise run, mise tasks --usage (the query shell completion runs on Tab). The victim only has to cd into a cloned repo and list or tab-complete a task. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.6.4.

  • Jun 26, 2026mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform.CVE-2026-54557 · Other software · jdx · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.6.1, the mise HTTP backend builds its install symlink destination from the raw resolved version string for non-latest versions. Normal tool install paths use the sanitized version pathname, but the HTTP backend's symlink path uses the raw value. On Unix-like systems, if that version is an absolute path, PathBuf::join discards the intended mise installs root. A repository-controlled .tool-versions file can therefore make mise install create a symlink outside the mise install tree. With bin_path, the same issue can place an executable symlink under an attacker-selected absolute prefix, such as a developer-tool prefix that is later added to PATH. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.6.1.

mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.3.10, mise processes .tool-versions files through the Tera template engine during parsing, with the exec() function registered, enabling arbitrary command execution. Unlike .mise.toml files, .tool-versions files are not subject to trust verification in non-paranoid mode. This means an attacker can place a malicious .tool-versions file in a git repository, and when a victim with mise activated cds into the directory, arbitrary commands execute without any trust prompt. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.3.10.

  • Jun 24, 2026py7zr is a Python-based library and utility to support 7zip archive compression, decompression, encryption and decryption.CVE-2026-23879 · Other software · miurahr · reported by GitHubHigh 8

py7zr is a Python-based library and utility to support 7zip archive compression, decompression, encryption and decryption. Versions 1.1.2 and below contain an an arbitrary file write vulnerability, which allows symbolic links to be recreated outside the destination directory via crafted malicious symbolic link chains. When using extractall to extract an archive, the library restores these symbolic links, linking them to arbitrary directories on the host file system. During extraction, the program only checks the link arcname within the destination directory, but ignores the combined symlink path resolution. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by constructing malicious archives, thereby bypassing the directory boundary restrictions implemented by the extractor. Subsequent extraction of regular files through these symbolic links can result in arbitrary file writes. This vulnerability may lead to remote code execution, privilege escalation, data corruption, or denial of service. This issue has been fixed in version 1.1.3.

  • Jun 24, 2026Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins.CVE-2026-49851 · Other software · lepture · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Prior to 3.3.0, Mistune is vulnerable to a CPU exhaustion DoS due to superlinear (approximately O(n²)) behavior in parse_link_text. When parsing Markdown containing many consecutive [ characters, parse_link_text repeatedly scans the input using a regex search inside a loop. Each iteration re-scans a large portion of the remaining string, resulting in quadratic-time behavior. An attacker-controlled Markdown input can therefore trigger excessive CPU usage with a very small payload. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.3.0.
