  • Sep 17, 2026Session Fixation vulnerability in team-alembic ash_authentication allows an attacker who can plant a session identifier in a victim's browser to hold an authentCVE-2026-86688 · Other software · team-alembic · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 7.4

Session Fixation vulnerability in team-alembic ash_authentication allows an attacker who can plant a session identifier in a victim's browser to hold an authenticated session once that victim signs in. AshAuthentication.Plug.Helpers.store_in_session/2 writes the authenticated subject into the existing session with Plug.Conn.put_session/3 and never calls Plug.Conn.configure_session(renew: true), so the identifier the visitor arrived with carries into their authenticated session. Every authentication event reaches this one function: the default success/4 injected by AshAuthentication.Phoenix.Controller.__using__/1, the AuthController emitted by mix ash_authentication_phoenix.install, and remember-me auto-login. AshAuthentication.Phoenix.Plug.store_in_session/2 is a defdelegate to it. Logout does not close the window either, because clear_session/2 ends with Plug.Conn.clear_session/1, which clears session contents but leaves the identifier intact, so a planted identifier survives a logout-then-login cycle. This issue affects ash_authentication: from 0.2.0 before 4.15.0 and from 5.0.0-rc.0 before 5.0.0-rc.14.

  • Sep 17, 2026Authentication Bypass by Spoofing vulnerability in team-alembic ash_authentication allows an attacker who can plant a remember-me cookie in a victim's browser tCVE-2026-76949 · Other software · team-alembic · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbCritical 9.1

Authentication Bypass by Spoofing vulnerability in team-alembic ash_authentication allows an attacker who can plant a remember-me cookie in a victim's browser to replace that victim's authenticated session with one for the attacker's own account. AshAuthentication.Plug.Helpers.sign_in_using_remember_me/3 skips re-authenticating an already-signed-in visitor by checking the session for "<subject_name>_token", but store_in_session/2 writes that key only when require_token_presence_for_authentication? is enabled and otherwise writes the bare subject name. At the default setting the guard therefore reads a key that is never written, its already-signed-in branch is unreachable, and the remember-me sign-in runs on every request through the per-request browser pipeline plug. A planted remember-me cookie is consequently honoured even for a visitor holding a live authenticated session, so whatever the victim enters afterwards lands in data the attacker controls. The read path in authenticate_resource_from_session/4 selects the key correctly, so the guard and the reader disagree about which key holds the session. This issue affects ash_authentication: from 4.10.0 before 4.15.0 and from 5.0.

  • Sep 17, 2026Browsertrix is a high-fidelity, browser-based crawling service for web archiving that can be self-hosted or used through Webrecorder's hosted instance.CVE-2026-54501 · Other software · webrecorder · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4

Browsertrix is a high-fidelity, browser-based crawling service for web archiving that can be self-hosted or used through Webrecorder's hosted instance. From 1.15.0 until 1.22.8, Browsertrix improperly sanitizes Git URLs specified as Custom Behaviors, allowing command injection through /api/orgs/*/crawlconfigs/validate/custom-behavior. A user with crawler or administrator permission on the specific instance can supply a crafted Git URL that executes arbitrary operating-system commands in the backend pod. Open registration or hosted free-trial access can make the required role broadly obtainable. Successful exploitation can expose, modify, or delete application database records, archived items, browser profiles, storage data, proxy credentials, and other configured service data. This issue is fixed in version 1.22.8.

  • Sep 17, 2026CloudTAK is a browser-based Common Operating Picture and situational awareness tool compatible with TAK.CVE-2026-54546 · Other software · dfpc-coe · reported by GitHubMedium 5

CloudTAK is a browser-based Common Operating Picture and situational awareness tool compatible with TAK. Prior to 13.22.1, the authenticated PUT /api/basemap endpoint passes an attacker-controlled URL through importBasemapURL() in api/routes/basemap.ts to fetch(url) without resolved-address classification or redirect revalidation. BasemapProtocol.isValidURL in api/lib/interface-basemap.ts checks only the HTTP or HTTPS scheme and is not applied on the vulnerable import path. Direct internal addresses, alternate IP encodings, and redirects to internal addresses can reach cloud metadata, loopback, private, and CGNAT HTTP services. The OptionalTileJSON response reflects fields including name, attribution, and tiles[0] to the caller, making the request forgery full-read rather than blind and enabling cloud credential theft and internal service disclosure. This issue is fixed in version 13.22.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: f_uac1_legacy: remove broken string configfs attributes The UAC1_STR_ATTRIBUTE macro defines configfs show/store handlers for the fn_play, fn_cap, and fn_cntl string options. The store function contains an inverted null check on the kstrndup() return value. This means every write attempt returns -ENOMEM on success and dereferences a NULL pointer on allocation failure. The attributes have been broken and unused for many years. Remove the UAC1_STR_ATTRIBUTE macro and the three attributes it generated. The internal defaults (FILE_PCM_PLAYBACK, FILE_PCM_CAPTURE, FILE_CONTROL) set in f_audio_alloc_inst() are unaffected.

  • Sep 17, 2026WWBN AVideo through commit e01e41ecc (no patched version available) contains a broken access control flaw in objects/userVerifyEmail.php.CVE-2026-92915 · Other software · WWBN · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

WWBN AVideo through commit e01e41ecc (no patched version available) contains a broken access control flaw in objects/userVerifyEmail.php. The script disables the login requirement ($global['ignoreUserMustBeLoggedIn'] = 1), takes users_id directly from the query string, and calls User::sendVerificationLink() with no session requirement, no CSRF/global token, no relationship check between caller and target, and no enforceRateLimit() call. The only intended throttle is keyed to the caller's own session, so cookie-less requests are never limited. An unauthenticated remote attacker can therefore cause an arbitrary number of verification emails to be sent to any account ID, and can enumerate accounts and their verification status from the three distinct JSON responses ("Verification Sent", "Already verified", "Unknown error"). In addition, createVerificationCode() invokes $user->setRecoverPass() and saves the user, so each anonymous request writes a live password-recovery token onto the targeted account; that token is embedded in base64 in the verification link emailed to the account owner and is accepted by objects/userRecoverPassSave.json.php as the credential for setting a new passwor

  • Sep 16, 2026Craft CMS 5.0.0 through 5.10.12 (fixed in 5.10.13) contains a broken access control flaw in the nested-elements reorder endpoint.CVE-2026-92589 · Other software · craftcms · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

Craft CMS 5.0.0 through 5.10.12 (fixed in 5.10.13) contains a broken access control flaw in the nested-elements reorder endpoint. When an authenticated control panel user with viewEntries and viewPeerEntries (but without savePeerEntries) opens another author's entry in read-only mode, Craft unconditionally grants that session a `manageNestedElements::<ownerId>::field:<handle>` authorization flag for the entry's Matrix/Address fields. Unlike the corresponding delete endpoint, actions/nested-elements/reorder trusts this session flag alone and never rechecks the caller's save permission for the owner element. As a result, a view-only user can POST to actions/nested-elements/reorder using the ownerElementType, ownerId, ownerSiteId, attribute, elementIds, and offset parameters present in the read-only page source and rewrite the sort order of Matrix blocks or Addresses belonging to content they are explicitly denied save access to.

Affected versions of MISP serve uploaded SVG images inline without a restrictive browser sandbox. The commit explains that SVG files are XML documents rather than passive bitmap images. While scripts inside SVG do not execute when the SVG is rendered through a normal <img>, they can execute when the SVG is navigated to directly or embedded as a document. In that case, malicious <script> elements, event handlers, or javascript: URLs execute on the MISP origin with the viewer’s session. The affected use cases include:  - organisation SVG logos;  - event-report SVG pictures. Importantly, the vulnerable behavior is on the serve path, not merely the upload path: the patch notes that a malicious SVG uploaded while SVG support was enabled could remain dangerous even after uploads were later disabled. Unlike the TUS upload handler, the direct-upload handler does not reject a target that is an existing directory; a POST with ?override=true aimed at a directory fails inside writeFile (a directory cannot be opened for writing) and the failure-cleanup path then calls Fs.RemoveAll on the request path, recursively deleting the entire tree. This cleanup is gated by neither the Perm.Delete permission nor the checkDescendants rule walk applied by the delete and patch handlers, so an authenticated non-administrator holding only the default Create and Modify permissions can delete directories they are not authorized to delete, including rule-denied files within them. Deletion remains confined to the user's scope because ScopedFs.RemoveAll still enforces the scope guard. The faulty cleanup was introduced in v2.5.0; no patched version is available.

A file-upload handler redirects the authenticated client's browser to a URL taken directly from that same request's Referer header, without validating it against the application's own origin. This allows an authenticated attacker to craft a request that causes another user's browser to be redirected to an arbitrary external destination after completing an upload.
