Sep 15, 2026Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition in Slab safeurl allows an attacker who controls a hostname's DNS responses to reach internal network destinatiCVE-2026-77972 · Other software · Slab · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbCritical 9
Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition in Slab safeurl allows an attacker who controls a hostname's DNS responses to reach internal network destinations that validation rejected. Validation returns a verdict and not the address it approved, so the HTTP clients the library ships receive the original hostname and resolve it a second time when the request is made. An attacker who controls the authoritative DNS for a name can answer the first lookup with a permitted address and the second with a blocked one, and the request then reaches a destination validation never approved. The same window opens without an attacker whenever a name legitimately resolves to different addresses across lookups, such as short record lifetimes or rotation between several addresses. This issue affects safeurl: from 0.1.0 onward.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52828 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, ExportController::createExportTemplate() and ExportController::editExportTemplate() inherit only the class-level create_export permission, which ROLE_TEAMLEAD receives by default, and omit the create_export_template permission required by the API routes and user interface. A teamlead can directly access the export template creation and editing web routes to create or modify global ExportTemplate records marked available to all users, altering export columns, renderer, format, and output used by other users and administrators. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52827 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.59.0, the KIMAI_SESSION cookie issued after password verification but before TOTP completion is accepted by every /api route because config/packages/security.yaml protects the API with IS_AUTHENTICATED and App\API\Authentication\ApiRequestMatcher routes an existing session through the main firewall. A Scheb TwoFactorToken satisfies that access rule, and App\Voter\ApiVoter grants API access to its User, allowing an attacker with a valid account password to use authenticated REST API operations without entering the second factor even though web routes remain blocked. This issue is fixed in version 2.59.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52826 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, GET or POST requests to /en/admin/project/{id}/rate/{rate}, /en/admin/customer/{id}/rate/{rate}, and /en/admin/activity/{id}/rate/{rate} independently resolve the authorized parent identifier and the attacker-selected child rate identifier without confirming that the ProjectRate, CustomerRate, or ActivityRate belongs to that parent. An authenticated user who can edit one parent object can pair it with a rate record from an unauthorized project, customer, or activity and persist changes to billing configuration in kimai2_projects_rates, kimai2_customers_rates, or kimai2_activities_rates. This issue is fixed in version 2.57.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52825 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, POST /api/teams/{id}/members/{userId} and POST /api/teams/{id}/activities/{activityId} verify that a teamlead may edit the Team but do not verify access_user for the referenced User or view access for the referenced Activity. A teamlead can add users or activities outside the teamlead's manageable scope to an editable team, bypassing the narrower choices enforced by TeamEditForm and UserRepository::getQueryBuilderForFormType(). The resulting relationships can be trusted by RolePermissionManager::checkTeamAccessActivity() and other team-based authorization, visibility, reporting, and workflow logic. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52824 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, the official Docker image sets APP_SECRET to the public value change_this_to_something_unique in Dockerfile, and .docker/entrypoint.sh neither replaces nor rejects that value before Symfony uses it as kernel.secret. An unauthenticated attacker who reaches a deployment that did not override APP_SECRET, knows a username, correctly guesses the account ID associated with that username, and targets an account without active two-factor authentication can forge HMAC-protected authentication artifacts, including KIMAI_REMEMBER cookies and login links, to access the account without its password. The updated entrypoint generates and persists a random secret when no safe operator-provided value exists. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52823 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, TimesheetController exposes GET /api/timesheets/{id}/stop and GET /api/timesheets/{id}/restart, which reuse an authenticated browser session and perform state-changing operations through GET requests without a request-forgery defense. A remote attacker can cause a logged-in user to request either route from attacker-controlled content, stopping a running timesheet or restarting a historical entry to create and start a new timesheet without the user's consent. The unauthorized changes can corrupt time records, billing, reports, approvals, and audits. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52822 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.58.0, PATCH /api/timesheets/{id}/restart, PATCH /api/timesheets/{id}/duplicate, and the web duplicate workflow can derive a new record from an owned historical timesheet after the user's access to its project or activity has been revoked. TimesheetVoter evaluates the own-timesheet permission before current team access, and its canStart() logic validates object visibility but does not verify the user's current team access to the referenced project and activity. An old entry therefore acts as a persistent capability to create new time records under an unauthorized project and activity, corrupting budgets, statistics, reports, and invoices after an administrative revocation. This issue is fixed in version 2.58.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52821 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, GET or POST requests to /en/admin/activity/create/{project} and /en/admin/project/create/{customer} require only the generic create_activity or create_project capability and do not verify edit access to the supplied Project or Customer object. A user who knows a valid project.id or customer identifier can use the preset-parent creation logic in src/Controller/ActivityController.php or src/Controller/ProjectController.php to persist a new child business object under an unauthorized parent, polluting project or customer configuration and influencing later time-entry, rate, reporting, and billing behavior. This issue is fixed in version 2.57.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52820 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, PATCH /api/timesheets/{id} and POST /api/timesheets accept a user-controlled project identifier through TimesheetApiEditForm and FormTrait, and ProjectRepository::getQueryBuilderForFormType() places that identifier in an unconditional OR branch that bypasses the team access criteria. Any authenticated user with edit_own_timesheet can therefore assign an owned timesheet to a project outside the user's teams, persist unauthorized project attribution, and retrieve project and customer metadata through GET /api/timesheets/{id}?full=true. TimesheetTeamAccessValidator now checks changed project and activity associations against current team access. This issue is fixed in version 2.57.0.

Sep 15, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-52819 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Prior to 2.57.0, the GET /api/timesheets list endpoint accepts user and users[] target identifiers from a caller with view_other_timesheet but does not apply access_user or verify that a ROLE_TEAMLEAD requester leads a team containing each target user. TimesheetController::cgetAction() adds the resolved users directly to the query while project and customer filtering still permits records on unscoped projects or projects sharing ordinary team membership, allowing a teamlead to retrieve another user's descriptions, timing data, tags, rate, and internalRate even though GET /api/timesheets/{id} would deny access through TimesheetVoter. Magistrala before 1.0.0 contains a SQL injection vulnerability in the timescale-reader and postgres-reader HTTP API services that allows authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary SQL by supplying a malicious format query parameter that is interpolated directly into the FROM clause without parameterization or identifier quoting. Attackers with a self-registered account can substitute arbitrary subqueries to achieve cross-tenant database reads, extract pg_shadow password hashes, read and write arbitrary files, and execute arbitrary code as the postgres OS user by loading attacker-supplied shared objects, with all injected SQL executing at superuser privilege due to the default PostgreSQL role configuration.

Sep 14, 2026net_if_ipv6_calc_reachable_time() in subsys/net/ip/net_if.c derives a randomized ND reachable time from ipv6->base_reachable_time as min_reachable + sys_rand32_CVE-2026-15893 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5
net_if_ipv6_calc_reachable_time() in subsys/net/ip/net_if.c derives a randomized ND reachable time from ipv6->base_reachable_time as min_reachable + sys_rand32_get() % (max_reachable - min_reachable), where min_reachable = base/2 and max_reachable = 3*base/2 using integer division. When base_reachable_time is 1, both min_reachable and the modulus collapse so the function returns 0, and net_if_ipv6_set_reachable_time() stores that 0 into ipv6->reachable_time. The base_reachable_time is attacker-controlled: handle_ra_input() in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c accepts the Reachable Time field of an incoming Router Advertisement whenever it is nonzero and <= MAX_REACHABLE_TIME, so a single unauthenticated, link-local RA carrying a Reachable Time of 1 drives the computed reachable time to 0. Router Advertisements are unauthenticated by default and require only adjacency to the target link. When a neighbor is subsequently confirmed reachable, net_ipv6_nbr_set_reachable_timer() reads the value and executes NET_ASSERT(time, "Zero reachable timeout!"). On builds with CONFIG_ASSERT enabled this triggers a fatal kernel assertion — a remote denial of service; on builds without assertions the reacha

containerd is an open-source container runtime. Prior to 1.7.35, 2.0.12, 2.2.8, and 2.3.5, containerd on Linux with the CRI plugin enabled can indefinitely block the drainExecSyncIO goroutine in internal/cri/server/container_execsync.go when CRI ExecSync is used by exec probes or lifecycle hooks that launch long-lived background child processes retaining standard input and output pipes. The input and output drain phase has no default timeout and did not stop when the request context was canceled, so repeated ExecSync invocations can accumulate blocked goroutines and host memory. The resulting resource exhaustion can cause the OOM killer to terminate containerd, leaving the container runtime unavailable until restart. Deployments not using containerd's CRI implementation and containers not running on Linux are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.7.35, 2.0.12, 2.2.8, and 2.3.5.

Sep 14, 2026Description Nimbus validated `topology.blobstore.map` against the calling subject at submission time only.CVE-2026-82432 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.1
Description Nimbus validated `topology.blobstore.map` against the calling subject at submission time only. The rebalance operation accepts configuration overrides and stripped a small set of keys from them, but never re-ran that validation, so a caller authorised to rebalance a topology could introduce a blobstore map entry naming a blob whose ACL does not grant them access. Supervisors localise whatever key the map names, placing the blob's contents into the topology's working directory. The same advisory covers `listBlobs`, which performed no authorization check and passed no subject, unlike the neighbouring `getBlobMeta` and `beginBlobDownload` operations. It therefore returned every key in the blobstore to any caller able to reach the Nimbus Thrift port, which provides the key names that make the above practical. On its own the disclosure is metadata only. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where rebalance configuration overrides are validated exactly as submission-time configuration is, against the rebalancing caller, and where `listBlobs` applies the configured authorization. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should restrict rebalance rights to trusted principals, keeping i

Sep 14, 2026Description The DRPC server kept a map from function name to request queue and created an entry the first time a function name was seen.CVE-2026-82439 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8
Description The DRPC server kept a map from function name to request queue and created an entry the first time a function name was seen. No code path ever removed an entry: request cleanup removed the request from its queue, and the shutdown path drained queues, but the queue object and its map entry remained for the life of the process. Function names come from the client and are not constrained to functions any topology has registered, so the number of retained entries is bounded only by the number of distinct names an attacker chooses to send, and each retained entry holds the name itself. `drpc.authorizer` is unset by default, so no credentials are required to reach the endpoint. The retained state is permanent rather than a transient load spike, so the effect accumulates until the DRPC server exhausts its heap. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where a function's queue is removed once nothing is waiting in it. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should configure `drpc.authorizer` so that only trusted principals can reach the DRPC endpoints, and should ensure the DRPC ports are not reachable from untrusted networks. Sep 14, 2026LangBot's plugin runtime (pip package langbot_plugin) through 0.4.17 starts a debug WebSocket server on 0.0.0.0:5401 (/plugin/ws) whose authentication is gated CVE-2026-90938 · Other software · langbot-app · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.8
LangBot's plugin runtime (pip package langbot_plugin) through 0.4.17 starts a debug WebSocket server on 0.0.0.0:5401 (/plugin/ws) whose authentication is gated on plugin_debug_key, which defaults to an empty string and is never set by the upstream repository, Docker image, or docker-compose (which additionally publishes port 5401 to the host); the key check is therefore skipped entirely. Any remote attacker able to reach the port can register an arbitrary "debug plugin" without credentials. Because events are broadcast to all initialized plugins without filtering, the attacker's plugin receives the full context of every IM message event (including private chats, message chains, and user/sender IDs in plaintext) and can inject forged replies, send messages as any configured bot, enumerate bot UUIDs, invoke configured LLM models, read knowledge-base contents, and register malicious tools that feed every user's LLM pipeline. Registering with "prod_mode": true causes later legitimate installations of a plugin with the same author/name to be rejected, resulting in persistent denial of service. No patched version was available at the time of publication.

Sep 12, 2026rtMedia for WordPress, BuddyPress and bbPress: Time-based blind SQL InjectionCVE-2026-16482 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The rtMedia for WordPress, BuddyPress and bbPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based blind SQL Injection via the 'compare' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.7.11 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This is exploitable on any public page containing an rtMedia shortcode (e.g., [rtmedia_gallery]) when the rtmedia_shortcode GET parameter is set, because RTMediaQuery::query() merges $_REQUEST into the internal query while only validating top-level array keys, allowing the nested 'compare' subvalue to reach the vulnerable sink without authentication.

Sep 11, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-49992 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Versions prior to 2.58.0 contain authenticated cross-site request forgery issues in their default team creation shortcuts for projects, customers, and activities. These endpoints are exposed through `GET` routes and directly create or reuse a `Team`, add the current user as teamlead, and bind the target object to that team. As a result, an attacker can trick a logged-in user with the required permissions into visiting a malicious page and cause unauthorized changes to team, teamlead, and object-binding relationships. This is a real authorization-structure modification issue rather than a harmless UI shortcut. Version 2.58.0 patches the issue.

Sep 11, 2026Kimai is an open-source time tracking application.CVE-2026-49865 · Other software · kimai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
Kimai is an open-source time tracking application. Versions prior to 2.58.0 contain a server-side request forgery vulnerability in their invoice PDF preview and generation workflow. If an attacker can control Markdown content that is later rendered into an invoice PDF, such as `Customer.invoiceText`, the server-side PDF renderer will fetch remote image URLs embedded in Markdown image syntax. This allows the application server to issue outbound requests to attacker-controlled or internal targets during PDF rendering. The behavior can be used for internal network probing, server-side reachability checks, and potentially follow-on exploitation depending on deployment environment and accessible internal services. Version 2.58.0 patches the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: timers/itimer: Zero-init old itimerval before copy to userspace On native sparc64, struct __kernel_old_timeval contains a four-byte hole after tv_usec because tv_sec is 64-bit while __kernel_suseconds_t is 32-bit. put_itimerval() fills only the named fields in a stack-allocated __kernel_old_itimerval and copies the entire object to userspace, so getitimer() can expose the two padding holes. Zero-initialize the aggregate before assigning the fields so implicit padding is deterministic before it crosses the user/kernel boundary.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: imx: serialize imx_uart_ports[] lifetime imx_uart_probe() publishes its devm-allocated port in imx_uart_ports[] before uart_add_one_port() because console setup uses the table. The entry is not cleared when adding the port fails or after removal, leaving a dangling pointer. A sibling probe can register the shared console through that stale entry. This was reproduced under KASAN on QEMU mcimx6ul-evk by unbinding a sibling UART, unbinding the console UART and rebinding the sibling. Keep the entry valid through uart_remove_one_port(), then clear it. Protect port addition and removal together with their table updates so sibling operations cannot interleave. Reject an occupied slot rather than clobbering an active port during a duplicate-line probe.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: at91_udc: drain polled-VBUS timer/work before udc is freed In polled-VBUS mode (board.vbus_pin && board.vbus_polled), probe arms a self-restarting cycle: at91_vbus_timer() schedules vbus_timer_work, and at91_vbus_timer_work() calls at91_vbus_update() and re-arms the timer via mod_timer(). Both recover the same udc through container_of and dereference it on every iteration. Neither teardown path cancels this cycle. udc is devm-allocated, so it is freed after at91udc_remove() returns, and is likewise freed when probe fails and devres runs. A timer callback or work item that is pending or running at either point dereferences the freed udc. Add at91_udc_shutdown_vbus_timer() and call it from at91udc_remove() and from the usb_add_gadget_udc() failure path in probe; the remaining probe error paths fail before the timer is armed. timer_shutdown_sync() waits for a running callback and clears timer->function, which makes the work handler's mod_timer() a permanent no-op; cancel_work_sync() then drains any pending or running work whose re-arm attempt now does nothing. The timer must be shut down first, since

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix null dereference in nfsd4_setattr for deleg timestamp attrs When a SETATTR request includes FATTR4_WORD2_TIME_DELEG_ACCESS or FATTR4_WORD2_TIME_DELEG_MODIFY in the attribute bitmap, nfsd4_setattr() sets deleg_attrs=true and calls nfs4_preprocess_stateid_op() to validate the stateid. If the client supplies the NFSv4 "one stateid" (all-0xFF bytes), check_special_stateids() returns nfs_ok without populating the output nfs4_stid pointer, because the special-stateid path in nfs4_preprocess_stateid_op() jumps to done: with s==NULL, and the "if (s)" block that would set *cstid is skipped. The local variable `st` remains NULL. Back in nfsd4_setattr(), the if (deleg_attrs) block then unconditionally dereferences st->sc_type (at offset 4 from NULL), causing a kernel oops. This is remotely triggerable by any NFSv4 client: send COMPOUND [PUTROOTFH, SETATTR(ONE_STATEID, {bmval2=FATTR4_WORD2_TIME_DELEG_ACCESS, ...})]. No authentication, delegation, or prior state is required. Fix by adding a NULL check before the dereference. A special stateid is not a delegation stateid, so the existing nfserr_bad_stateid return

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: sony: fix UAF of ghl_poke_timer / ghl_urb at driver unbind For GHL (Guitar Hero Live) dongles, sony_probe() arms a periodic timer: ghl_magic_poke() (the timer callback) submits sc->ghl_urb, and the URB completion ghl_magic_poke_cb() re-arms the timer with mod_timer(). sony_remove() drained the timer with timer_delete_sync() and then freed the URB with usb_free_urb(): timer_delete_sync(&sc->ghl_poke_timer); usb_free_urb(sc->ghl_urb); timer_delete_sync() does not block re-arming, and while the URB is in flight the timer is not pending, so the sync delete is a no-op. A URB completion that runs after the delete re-arms the timer, and usb_free_urb() only drops a reference -- it does not kill an in-flight URB. sc is allocated with devm_kzalloc() and freed once sony_remove() returns, so the re-armed ghl_poke_timer (embedded in sc) then fires on freed memory, a use-after-free from timer softirq. This is a disconnect/rmmod race. Poison the URB first, then shut the timer down, before freeing the URB. usb_poison_urb() kills any in-flight URB and permanently rejects further submissions, so a poke timer that is sti

The notifier was registered per memory device and stored in 'struct cxl_memdev_state', even though it only needs the region state (the region's SPA range and its extended linear cache size). Instead of keeping the memory device and endpoint alive, the correct fix is to move the notifier into 'struct cxl_region' and register it from cxl_region_probe() as it should be a per-region notifier. Setup the registration to only happen for regions that have an extended linear cache as that is the only current usage. Remove cxl_port_get_spa_cache_alias() as it is now dead code. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Reject oversized Read segments at decode time The RPC/RDMA Read list decoder stores wire-supplied segment lengths without validation. xdr_count_read_segments() checks 4-byte alignment for non-zero position values but does not cap the segment length. An oversized rs_length reaches svc_rdma_build_read_segment(), which derives nr_bvec from it and can drive a large dynamic bvec allocation before verifying that enough rq_pages remain. If the post-allocation page-overrun guard fires, the freshly acquired rw context is not returned, leaking the resource. Reject any segment whose length exceeds the receive context's page budget during Read list decoding, consistent with how xdr_check_write_chunk() bounds Write segment counts against rc_maxpages. Also return the rw context on the existing post-allocation overrun path in svc_rdma_build_read_segment(), keeping that defensive guard balanced.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipa: fix stalled modem TX queue after runtime resume ipa_start_xmit() unconditionally stops the TX queue before calling pm_runtime_get(), relying on the wake scheduled by runtime resume (ipa_modem_wake_queue_work()) to restart it once power is ACTIVE. But that work is queued from within the runtime resume callback, before the device's power state reaches RPM_ACTIVE, so it can run while the device is still RPM_RESUMING. The wake is then consumed too early: the transmit it restarts stops the queue again, pm_runtime_get() returns -EINPROGRESS without arranging any future wake (deferred_resume exists only for RPM_SUSPENDING), and after the resume completes nothing is left to wake the queue. Transmit stalls permanently: packets pile up in the qdisc behind the stopped queue, the device runtime-suspends, and since the netdev registers no ndo_tx_timeout the watchdog never fires. Observed on SM7635 (Fairphone 6) as the cellular data path going permanently deaf within hours, RX included, since nothing resumes the suspended endpoints.
