Aug 26, 2026bestzip builds the argument list for the system zip utility without separating options from operands.CVE-2026-80427 · Other software · nfriedly · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.6
bestzip builds the argument list for the system zip utility without separating options from operands. The destination archive path and the caller-supplied source paths are passed to the child process with no -- delimiter between them, so any source entry beginning with a hyphen is interpreted by zip as an option rather than a file name. zip accepts -T to test the finished archive and -TT to name the command used to perform that test, so a source list containing those two entries and a command string causes zip to run that command through a shell once the archive has been written. An application that passes a file name or path it received from an untrusted source into the bestzip API therefore executes a command of the supplier's choosing. Versions 2.2.6 and 3.0.2 add the delimiter.

Aug 25, 2026The Kaltura HTML5 player (mwEmbed / html5lib) contains a local file disclosure vulnerability due to improper validation of the ServiceUrl parameter in mwEmbedLoCVE-2026-19913 · Other software · Kaltura · reported by cret@cert.orgHigh 7.5
The Kaltura HTML5 player (mwEmbed / html5lib) contains a local file disclosure vulnerability due to improper validation of the ServiceUrl parameter in mwEmbedLoader.php. This parameter is used as the base URL for a backend request and accepts non‑HTTP schemes such as file://. When an exception or error occurs, the response is subsequently deserialized and its raw contents are reflected to the client in an error message; this enables an unauthenticated, remote attacker to read any arbitrary internal file reachable by the server. Affected versions include html5lib v2.45, v2.103 and earlier, and other v2.x releases exposing the vulnerable endpoint.

Joomla Extension - miniorange.com - Unauthenticated Authentication Bypass via SAMLResponse Parameter in miniOrange SAML SSO < 11.0.2, SAML SP Single Sign On – Login with ADFS < 6.4, SAML SP Single Sign On – SAML SSO login with Google Apps < 6.4 - This is due to the mo_saml_validate_signature() function performing a loose boolean check on the raw tri-state integer returned by PHP's openssl_verify(), causing an error return value of -1 to be evaluated as truthy and therefore treated as a successful signature verification. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing Joomla user, including administrators, by submitting a crafted SAMLResponse containing an attacker-controlled NameID and a deliberately malformed signature value that triggers an OpenSSL processing error — bypassing verification entirely and resulting in wp_set_auth_cookie() being called for the targeted account.

Issue summary: OpenSSL CMP password based protection verification only checks whether the protectionAlg parameter was not NULL and not its ASN.1 type, before treating it as a PBMParameter. A crafted message can contain a parameter of a different type, which is then dereferenced as an invalid pointer. Impact summary: A remote, unauthenticated attacker can crash an application acting as a CMP server that accepts PBM-protected messages, or a CMP client talking to a malicious or intercepted CMP server, resulting in a Denial of Service. CWE: CWE-476: NULL Pointer Dereference Description: When verifying the password-based MAC protection of a CMP message, OpenSSL library reads the protectionAlg algorithm parameter with X509_ALGOR_get0(), which returns both the parameter type and its value pointer. The value is then cast to an ASN1_STRING and treated as the expected PBMParameter after only checking that pointer is not NULL. The parameter type returned by X509_ALGOR_get0() was never consulted. This happens during protection verification, before any MAC is computed, so no knowledge of the PBM shared secret is required; the only precondition is that PBM verification is reachable. On the s

Aug 24, 2026The guard checker in Rocq Prover does not recheck the recursive tree representation of an inductive type parameter after that parameter has been changed by tranCVE-2026-72704 · Other software · rocq-prover · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8
The guard checker in Rocq Prover does not recheck the recursive tree representation of an inductive type parameter after that parameter has been changed by transport. A fixpoint may apply a rewrite along an equality between types to its recursive argument, which the guard checker accepts because the inductive type is preserved, while the recursive tree recorded for the parameter is altered. A second fixpoint that calls the first inherits the altered recursive tree without verification, so a call that is not structurally decreasing is accepted as terminating. The resulting non-terminating definition proves that a natural number equals its own successor and therefore False, from which any proposition follows. The demonstration uses two axioms that follow from univalence and are consistent with the calculus of inductive constructions, so the contradiction comes from the guard check rather than from the assumptions. A fix is proposed but not merged.

Aug 24, 2026The guard checker in Rocq Prover treats a parameter of a nested mutual fixpoint as uniform without examining calls between the different bodies of that fixpointCVE-2026-72703 · Other software · rocq-prover · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8
The guard checker in Rocq Prover treats a parameter of a nested mutual fixpoint as uniform without examining calls between the different bodies of that fixpoint. find_uniform_parameters in kernel/inductive.ml inspects only self-recursive calls, so when no body calls itself the function concludes that every parameter is uniform. A parameter that grows through a cross-call from one body to another therefore keeps the subterm specification it inherited from the enclosing fixpoint, and a recursive call guarded by that specification is accepted although the argument is not structurally smaller. A non-terminating definition is admitted as structurally decreasing, which yields a term whose value equals its own successor and so a proof of False, from which any proposition follows. The proof requires no axioms, plugins or unsafe flags and Print Assumptions reports it as closed under the global context. Introduced in Coq 8.20 and fixed in Rocq 9.2.0.

Aug 24, 2026Print Assumptions does not report that a definition was produced while universe checking was disabled when that definition reaches the caller through Parameter CVE-2020-37268 · Other software · rocq-prover · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8
Print Assumptions does not report that a definition was produced while universe checking was disabled when that definition reaches the caller through Parameter Inline in a module type. Applying a functor inlines the body of the parameter, and the inlining drops the record that the term was built under Unset Universe Checking, so the resulting constant carries no trace of the unsafe operation. A module implementation can therefore prove False using a universe inconsistency, expose it through an inlined parameter, and have Print Assumptions report the dependent proof as closed under the global context. Because Print Assumptions is the in-process audit used to confirm that a development rests on no unexpected assumptions, a dependency built this way passes that audit while proving arbitrary propositions. The standalone checker coqchk does reject the resulting compiled file. The project records this in dev/doc/critical-bugs.md under non-fixed bugs and rates the risk as moderate when coqchk is not used.

Aug 24, 2026DJI drones expose an unauthenticated DUML command interface over Bluetooth that allows an attacker within Bluetooth range to modify Wi-Fi configuration parameteCVE-2026-78306 · Other software · DJI · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.5
DJI drones expose an unauthenticated DUML command interface over Bluetooth that allows an attacker within Bluetooth range to modify Wi-Fi configuration parameters, including the SSID, PSK, MAC address, regulatory country code, and wireless channel. An attacker can overwrite the Wi-Fi PSK with a known value and connect to the drone's internal Wi-Fi network, potentially gaining access to the flight control interface and issuing flight commands. Crafted DUML commands can also disable or restart the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfaces, disconnect Wi-Fi clients, or reset wireless configuration, resulting in a denial-of-service condition that can disrupt the operator's wireless control, video, and telemetry connections during flight. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix OOB read in WMM_param_handler() WMM_param_handler() copies a fixed-size WMM parameter element out of a received information element without checking that the element is long enough, causing an out-of-bounds read for a short WMM IE. The handler reads sizeof(struct WMM_para_element) (18) bytes at pIE->data + 6, so it requires pIE->length to be at least 24 (WLAN_WMM_LEN), but it never validates the length. Two of its three callers reach it after matching only the WMM OUI: OnAssocRsp() in rtw_mlme_ext.c matches a 6-byte OUI, and join_cmd_hdl() matches a 4-byte OUI, before calling the handler. A vendor-specific IE carrying the WMM OUI but a length between 6 and 23, placed in an association response or in the IE blob handed to join_cmd_hdl(), passes the OUI check and then makes the memcmp() and memcpy() at pIE->data + 6 read past the end of the element. OnAssocRsp() parses a frame received from the AP, so this is reachable from a remote peer. The remaining caller in rtw_wlan_util.c already guards the handler with "pIE->length == WLAN_WMM_LEN". Move the equivalent check into the handler itself

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SVM: Serialize accesses to the owner and mirror list with separate lock Interaction between KVM_CAP_VM_MOVE_ENC_CONTEXT_FROM and KVM_CAP_VM_COPY_ENC_CONTEXT_FROM can cause two separate issues: - in sev_migrate_from(), when the destination KVM is a mirror, the mirror entry is moved from the source's list to the owner's mirror_vms list, without holding the owner's lock unlike other writers of the owner's mirror list (sev_vm_copy_enc_context_from(), sev_vm_destroy()). A concurrent COPY or destroy can race with sev_migrate_from() and corrupt the list. - In sev_vm_destroy(), the *owner* is still active and could receive concurrently a KVM_CAP_VM_MOVE_ENC_CONTEXT_FROM that causes sev->enc_context_owner to change. In this case the incorrect VM receives kvm_put_kvm(). The second issue needs particular care because the owner could disappear altogether (even though the race window is impossibly small) between reading it and locking it. There is thus no way to perform the checks under the owner lock without putting struct kvm under SLAB_TYPESAFE_BY_RCU (which would allow kvm_get_kvm_safe() under RC

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: clear new_transport when removing a peer sctp_process_asconf_param() stores a newly CVE-2026-74586 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: clear new_transport when removing a peer sctp_process_asconf_param() stores a newly added peer transport in asoc->new_transport. After all parameters in the ASCONF chunk have been processed, sctp_sf_do_asconf() uses this pointer to send a HEARTBEAT to the new transport. An authenticated ASCONF from a remote SCTP peer can add a transport and remove it again with a wildcard DEL-IP parameter in the same chunk. The wildcard deletion preserves the transport on which the ASCONF arrived, but removes the newly added transport through sctp_assoc_del_nonprimary_peers(). The removal does not clear asoc->new_transport, leaving it pointing to the removed transport. sctp_sf_do_asconf() then creates a HEARTBEAT whose chunk->transport points to the removed transport without holding a transport reference. During local address replacement, src_out_of_asoc_ok keeps this HEARTBEAT on control_chunk_list. After the transport is freed by RCU, a successful ASCONF_ACK for the replacement address releases the queued HEARTBEAT and sctp_outq_select_transport() reads the freed transport's state. The issue was found during a static a

Aug 20, 2026ATutor is vulnerable to Reflected XSS via popup parameter in preview.php.CVE-2026-64972 · Other software · ATutor · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 4.8
ATutor is vulnerable to Reflected XSS via popup parameter in preview.php. An authenticated attacker can inject a double quote into the popup parameter, break out of the attribute value, and append a new event handler such as onload. The related preview_top.php file sanitises these parameters, but that does not prevent XSS in the parent frameset rendered by preview.php itself. Product is no longer actively supported and the vulnerabilities have not been fixed. Only version 2.2.4 was tested and confirmed as vulnerable, other versions were not tested but might also be vulnerable.
