  • Jun 24, 2026motionEye (mEye) is an online interface for motion software, which is a video surveillance program with motion detection.CVE-2026-31978 · Other software · motioneye-project · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

motionEye (mEye) is an online interface for motion software, which is a video surveillance program with motion detection. Versions prior to 0.44.0 are vulnerable to path traversal in the picture and movie API endpoints, suhc as /picture/{id}/preview/{filename}. Neither the API handlers, nor the mediafiles.py functions such as get_media_preview() check for .. sequences in the filename parameter, except for get_media_content(). This allows an authenticated user with normal (non-admin) privileges to read arbitrary files from the filesystem as the motionEye process user, such as: /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, motionEye config files containing password hashes and plaintext passwords, SSH keys, and other cameras' surveillance footage. This issue has been fixed in version 0.44.0.

  • Jun 24, 2026motionEye (mEye) is an online interface for a piece of software called "motion," which is a video surveillance program with motion detection.CVE-2026-55488 · Other software · motioneye-project · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7

motionEye (mEye) is an online interface for a piece of software called "motion," which is a video surveillance program with motion detection. Versions prior to 0.44.0 contain an absolute path traversal vulnerability in multiple media file handlers that allows an attacker to read arbitrary files from the filesystem. The affected handlers accept a user-controlled filename parameter and construct filesystem paths using `os.path.join()`. When an absolute path is supplied, Python discards the configured media directory and returns the attacker-supplied path directly. The application then bypasses Tornado's built-in path validation by overriding the relevant safety checks. As a result, an attacker can access files outside of the configured camera media directory, subject to the permissions of the motionEye process. Version 0.44.0 fixes the issue.

  • Jun 24, 2026Cincopa video and media plug-in: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-10092 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Cincopa video and media plug-in plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via cincopa Shortcode in Post Comments in all versions up to, and including, 1.163 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation is possible because the plugin processes the [cincopa] shortcode via a comment_text filter hook, allowing unauthenticated visitors who can post comments to supply a malicious shortcode argument that persists in the database.

  • Jun 23, 2026immich is a high performance self-hosted photo and video management solution.CVE-2026-53662 · Other software · immich-app · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6

immich is a high performance self-hosted photo and video management solution. From commit 4ffa26c9 until 4eb1003, a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability on the /auth/login page allows an attacker to fully compromise any authenticated user's account with a single link click. The continue query parameter is read from the URL and passed to SvelteKit's redirect() without any scheme or origin validation, allowing attacker-controlled JavaScript to execute inside Immich's origin. The payload then uses the victim's existing session to mint an all-permission API key on their account, leading to persistent account takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in commit 4eb1003.

  • Jun 23, 2026yt-dlp is a command-line audio/video downloader.CVE-2026-50574 · Other software · yt-dlp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

yt-dlp is a command-line audio/video downloader. Prior to 2026.06.09, if aria2c is used as an external downloader for a fragmented manifest format (such as an HLS/DASH stream), yt-dlp passes insufficiently sanitized input to aria2c that allows an attacker to perform an arbitrary file write. On Windows platforms, this can lead to immediate arbitrary code execution. On non-Windows platforms, this can lead to arbitrary code execution upon the next invocation of yt-dlp. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.06.09.

  • Jun 23, 2026yt-dlp is a command-line audio/video downloader.CVE-2026-50023 · Other software · yt-dlp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

yt-dlp is a command-line audio/video downloader. Prior to 2026.06.09, a vulnerability exists in yt-dlp that allows a remote attacker to write arbitrary OS-shortcut files (such as .desktop, .url, .webloc) to the user's filesystem, bypassing the remediation for CVE-2024-38519. The allowlist explicitly included the unsafe extensions .desktop, .url, and .webloc so that the functionality of the --write-link option (and its variants) could be preserved. These allowlist inclusions can be exploited by an attacker to write malicious OS-shortcut files in the context of a media or subtitles download. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.06.09.

  • Jun 23, 2026yt-dlp is a command-line audio/video downloader.CVE-2026-50019 · Other software · yt-dlp · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

yt-dlp is a command-line audio/video downloader. From 2023.09.24 until 2026.06.09, if curl is used as an external downloader for yt-dlp, cookies may be leaked to an unintended host upon HTTP redirect or when the host for download fragments differs from their parent manifest's. At the file download stage, the cookies are passed by yt-dlp to the file downloader via --cookie. However, unless these are loaded from a file, this operation does not activate the cookie engine. As a result, curl will send cookies with requests to domains or paths for which the cookies are not scoped. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.06.09.

  • Jun 19, 2026libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec.CVE-2026-49346 · Other software · strukturag · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec. Prior to version 1.1.0, a crafted H.265 bitstream with large SPS dimensions and 16-bit bit depth causes a signed integer overflow in `de265_image_get_buffer()` (`libde265/image.cc:128`). The overflow wraps the plane allocation size to a small value (~1 KB), but the subsequent `fill_image()` call computes the real size using `size_t`, writing ~4 GB into the undersized heap buffer. Version 1.1.0 patches the issue.

  • Jun 19, 2026libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec.CVE-2026-49337 · Other software · strukturag · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec. Prior to version 1.0.20, a crafted sequence of H.265 NAL units causes `decoder_context::read_slice_NAL()` (`libde265/decctx.cc:481`) to attach slice headers to a finished picture object that has no active image unit, resulting in attacker-controlled unbounded heap growth. The retained headers are never freed until the picture is released, which may not happen during continuous streaming. Version 1.0.20 patches the issue.

libde265 is an open source implementation of the h.265 video codec. Prior to version 1.0.20, a crafted H.265 bitstream can cause an out-of-bounds array write in `decoder_context::process_reference_picture_set()` (`libde265/decctx.cc:1376`). The root cause is a missing aggregate bound check on predicted short-term reference picture set entries. Individual list sizes are validated, but the combined count after predicted RPS construction can exceed the 16-entry `PocStFoll` array, writing at index 16. Version 1.0.20 patches the issue.

  • Jun 19, 2026A use-after-free vulnerability was found in FFmpeg's RASC video decoder.CVE-2026-12706 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5

A use-after-free vulnerability was found in FFmpeg's RASC video decoder. The decode_move() function initializes a read pointer into a decompressed buffer, but a subsequent reallocation of that same buffer during move-table processing leaves the pointer dangling. An attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted AVI file containing a malicious RASC video stream. When a user opens or plays the file, the decoder reads from freed heap memory, which could lead to a denial of service (crash).

  • Jun 17, 2026Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download any video media.CVE-2026-48055 · Other software · truelockmc · reported by GitHubCritical 10

Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download any video media. In versions 2.4.0 and prior, a high-severity Zip Slip vulnerability was identified in Streambert's subtitle extraction logic. The application does not sanitize archive entry filenames during extraction, allowing a malicious archive to perform path traversal and write arbitrary files to the host filesystem. The subtitle extraction process downloads a ZIP archive and extracts its entries. The destination file path is constructed by concatenating the raw archive entry name (extracted.name) directly to the temporary directory path. If a malicious ZIP archive containing directory traversal sequences is processed, it escapes the temporary directory boundaries. The application then writes the extracted payload anywhere on the host filesystem subject to the application's current write permissions. This issue has been fixed in version 2.5.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: videobuf2: Set vma_flags in vb2_dma_sg_mmap vb2_dma_contig sets VMA flags VM_DONTEXPAND and VM_DONTDUMP and I do not see a reason why vb2_dma_sg should behave differently. • Jun 5, 2026RSS Aggregator by Feedzy – Feed to Post, Autoblogging, News & YouTube Video Feeds Aggregator: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-8976 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The RSS Aggregator by Feedzy – Feed to Post, Autoblogging, News & YouTube Video Feeds Aggregator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.7. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to create and execute RSS import jobs, purge (force-delete) all posts associated with any import job, clear import error logs, and enumerate taxonomy terms and post meta_key names. The nonce required to reach these sub-handlers is leaked to any user with the edit_posts capability via the feedzyjs localized script injected into the block editor, meaning no privileged nonce theft or separate exploit step is required for Contributor-level users.

  • Jun 5, 2026TinyIce is a streaming server for audio and video.CVE-2026-45327 · Other software · DatanoiseTV · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

TinyIce is a streaming server for audio and video. In versions 0.8.95 through 2.4.1, missing authentication on WebRTC ingest endpoint allows unauthenticated stream injection. Version 2.5.0 fixes the issue by requiring either HTTP Basic auth or a `?password=` query parameter, comparing the supplied password against the per-mount source password (or the `default_source_password` fallback) using bcrypt, hooking into the existing brute-force IP rate-limiter (5 failed attempts per IP within 15 minutes triggers a lockout), and rejecting requests for mounts in `disabled_mounts`. The same release also tightens an adjacent endpoint, `POST /admin/golive/chunk`, which previously required session authentication but did not verify the session user's per-mount access nor check the CSRF token.

  • May 29, 2026WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform.CVE-2026-47696 · Other software · WWBN · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In 29.0 and earlier, plugin/AuthorizeNet/processPayment.json.php credits the logged-in user's wallet based only on the attacker-controlled amount POST parameter. The endpoint contains a TODO for real Authorize.Net charging, hardcodes $paymentSuccess = true, and then calls YPTWallet::addBalance() without validating any Authorize.Net transaction, webhook signature, hosted payment token, nonce, or server-side payment record. This allows any logged-in user to add arbitrary funds to their own AVideo wallet when the AuthorizeNet and YPTWallet plugins are enabled.

WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In 29.0 and earlier, AVideo stores category descriptions from user input and later renders category_description as raw HTML in the Gallery view. A user who can create or edit categories can store JavaScript in a category description, which executes when another user views the affected Gallery/category page. This is a stored XSS in the category description field, separate from previously fixed XSS issues in video titles or comments.

WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In 29.0 and earlier, an unauthenticated remote attacker can read arbitrary image files anywhere on disk that the PHP user can open — including private user-profile photos that the application's normal serving wrappers gate behind ACLs, admin-uploaded thumbnails, encrypted-video poster frames, and image content under sibling-app directories reachable via .. traversal. WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In 29.0 and earlier, view/update.php reads $_POST['updateFile'] as a relative path under updatedb/ and passes it to PHP's file() for line-by-line execution as part of a database migration.
