Jul 8, 2026Eventer: An insecure password reset mechanismCVE-2026-9701 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Eventer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to an insecure password reset mechanism in all versions up to, and including, 4.4.2. The plugin stores a plaintext copy of the password reset key in the `eventer_verification_code` user meta field when a user requests a password reset. The plaintext key stored in `wp_usermeta` can be used with the plugin's custom reset action to set a new password for any user. Combined with another vulnerability such as SQL Injection (CVE-2026-9700), this makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract the plaintext reset key and take over any user account, including administrators. Note: The password reset function only works up to PHP version 7.4.

A Weak Password Recovery Mechanism for Forgotten Password exists in Esri Portal for ArcGIS versions 12.1 and earlier on Windows, Linux and Kubernetes. A remote, unauthorized attacker may assume ownership of a user’s account by manipulating this mechanism. ArcGIS Administrators should configure an email server with ArcGIS Enterprise to facilitate user self-service password recovery. Jul 1, 2026MCO is vulnerable to Account Denial of Service due to improper implementation of password reset functionality.CVE-2026-53904 · Other software · MyComplianceOffice · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 6.3
MCO is vulnerable to Account Denial of Service due to improper implementation of password reset functionality. Each password reset request invalidates previously set password as well as previously issued temporary passwords, furthermore, password resets are not limited in any way. An attacker who provides victim's email and answer to their security question, can successfully initiate the reset process and continuously invalidate credentials, effectively locking the victim out of their account. Answering security questions has a limited number of tries which lowers the risk of this vulnerability. Because vendor contact attempts were unsuccessful, the vulnerability has only been confirmed in version 25.3.3.1 but may also affect other versions.

Jul 1, 2026UltraVNC repeater through 1.8.2.2 initializes the HTTP administration server with a hardcoded default password.CVE-2026-7839 · Other software · uvnc · reported by 33c584b5-0579-4c06-b2a0-8d8329fcab9cCritical 9.1
UltraVNC repeater through 1.8.2.2 initializes the HTTP administration server with a hardcoded default password. In repeater/webgui/settings.c:197, when settings2.txt is absent on first run the repeater writes the literal string "adminadmi2" as the admin password via strcpy_s(saved_password, 64, "adminadmi2"). The HTTP Basic-auth handler wi_decode_auth() checks this password without rate-limiting or lockout. Any remote attacker who can reach the repeater HTTP port (default TCP 80) can authenticate as administrator using the well-known default credential on a fresh or unmodified installation, gaining full control of the repeater configuration including allow/deny rules and session visibility.

Jun 30, 2026Presenton before 0.8.8-beta bundles an MCP server that, on server/Docker deployments configured with session authentication (AUTH_USERNAME/AUTH_PASSWORD), is reCVE-2026-58446 · Other software · presenton · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
Presenton before 0.8.8-beta bundles an MCP server that, on server/Docker deployments configured with session authentication (AUTH_USERNAME/AUTH_PASSWORD), is reachable unauthenticated at /mcp because the nginx front-end does not apply the auth_request gate to that path and the MCP server auto-mints a valid internal session token for the configured user. A remote unauthenticated attacker can invoke MCP tools such as generate_presentation, performing authenticated application actions, consuming the operators configured LLM API keys, and creating presentations in the operators instance. Nightingale (n9e) before 9.0.0-beta.2 exposes full datasource configurations, including plaintext database passwords, HTTP bearer tokens, HTTP basic-auth passwords, and mTLS client keys, to any authenticated low-privilege (Standard role) user through POST /api/n9e/datasource/list. The route is registered without an admin authorization gate, unlike the sibling datasource mutation routes, and the open-source DatasourceFilter does not redact secret fields, so the secret-bearing settings, http, and auth objects are serialized in the response. Capgo before 12.128.2 fails to enforce a maximum value on the minimum password length field in its password policy configuration. An authenticated organization administrator can set an extremely large numeric value (e.g., billions of characters) as the minimum password length, making compliance impossible for all organization members. Once the policy is enabled, users (including administrators) are unable to change their passwords or access the organization, resulting in an organization-wide account lockout and application-level denial of service.

Jun 19, 2026Capgo before 12.128.2 contains a flaw in the Enforce Password Policy feature: after a Super Admin enables the policy and successfully changes their password to CVE-2026-56080 · Other software · Cap-go · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9
Capgo before 12.128.2 contains a flaw in the Enforce Password Policy feature: after a Super Admin enables the policy and successfully changes their password to a compliant one, the backend does not update the password-compliance state. As a result, the backend continues to treat the account as non-compliant and repeatedly forces password-reset prompts, permanently locking the Super Admin out of organization access (organization lockout / denial of service) despite valid authentication.
