  • Oct 6, 2026Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+.CVE-2026-106454 · Other software · twisted · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

    Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. In 25.5.0 and earlier, wildcardToRegexp() in twisted/mail/imap4.py translates the IMAP asterisk and percent wildcards but passes all other characters from an authenticated client's LIST or LSUB pattern directly to re.compile(), allowing nested or otherwise expensive regular expression constructs to cause catastrophic backtracking when matched against mailbox names. Because Twisted uses a cooperative single-threaded reactor, the blocking match suspends all server input and output for the duration of the match. No fixed release is available as of this review.

  • Oct 6, 2026The CakeResponse::download() method in lib/Cake/Network/CakeResponse.php constructs a Content-Disposition header by directly interpolating a caller-supplied filCVE-2026-106512 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.4

    The CakeResponse::download() method in lib/Cake/Network/CakeResponse.php constructs a Content-Disposition header by directly interpolating a caller-supplied filename into a quoted-string value without sanitization. Two distinct injection vectors exist in the unpatched code. First, if the filename contains C0 control characters (CR or LF), PHP refuses to emit the entire Content-Disposition header, silently dropping the attachment disposition. The response body is then served with its own Content-Type (for example text/html for an .html attachment) and renders inline in the browser on the application origin, creating a stored cross-site scripting condition. The commit message notes this is reachable even when the download_attachments_on_load setting is enabled, meaning a victim merely needs to view a page that triggers the download. Second, a double-quote character in the filename terminates the quoted-string value early, permitting injection of additional Content-Disposition parameters. The affected code path covers all callers of CakeResponse::download(), including attribute downloads, proposal downloads, and restSearch exports. • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_codec: validate vendor codec count length The Read Local Supported Codecs pCVE-2026-98247 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_codec: validate vendor codec count length The Read Local Supported Codecs parsers consume the variable-sized standard codec array before parsing the vendor codec count. Although the initial reply-size check includes a vendor count byte in the fixed layout, it does not guarantee that the byte remains after the standard codec array. If a controller reply ends immediately after that array, calculating the vendor codec array size reads vnd_codecs->num beyond the skb data. Use skb_pull_data() to validate and consume each codec header before using its count in both command variants.

  • Oct 5, 2026The NXP GAU ADC driver (drivers/adc/adc_mcux_gau_adc.c) validated the caller-supplied sequence->buffer_size, which is expressed in bytes, against the number of CVE-2026-19184 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.4

    The NXP GAU ADC driver (drivers/adc/adc_mcux_gau_adc.c) validated the caller-supplied sequence->buffer_size, which is expressed in bytes, against the number of active channels, which is a sample count. It then stored that byte count directly in data->results_length and used it in mcux_gau_adc_read_samples() as the number of uint16_t slots available. Because each conversion result occupies sizeof(uint16_t) bytes, a buffer that was accepted as "large enough" could be written with up to twice its size in bytes, so every sample past the buffer's midpoint was written out of bounds. adc_read() and adc_read_async() are Zephyr system calls. The syscall verifier in drivers/adc/adc_handlers.c only confirms that the caller owns buffer_size writable bytes (K_SYSCALL_MEMORY_WRITE); deciding whether that size is sufficient for the requested channels and extra_samplings is delegated entirely to the driver. On a build with CONFIG_USERSPACE=y, a user-mode thread that has been granted the ADC device object could therefore submit a deliberately half-sized buffer and cause the driver's work-queue handler — which runs in supervisor mode, outside the caller's MPU restrictions — to write ADC conversion

  • Oct 2, 2026Super Forms – Drag & Drop Form Builder: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15897 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

    The Super Forms – Drag & Drop Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.316. This is due to the Register & Login add-on's before_email_success_msg() function, in its register_login_action='update' flow, trusting an attacker-supplied user_id value and passing it to wp_update_user() without any ownership or capability check. Because the super_save_form AJAX action also enforces no capability check, any authenticated user with Subscriber-level access and above can create the required malicious form (register_login_action='update' with register_login_user_id_update='true') and then submit it with user_id set to an administrator's ID along with a new user_pass/user_email. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to overwrite the credentials of arbitrary existing accounts — including administrators — resulting in account takeover and full site compromise.

  • Oct 2, 2026Super Forms – Drag & Drop Form Builder: Directory TraversalCVE-2026-15896 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1

    The Super Forms – Drag & Drop Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.316 via the parse_request function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. The optional 'file_upload_auth' setting defaults to empty, meaning no authentication is required in the default configuration; enabling this setting mitigates unauthenticated exploitation but does not remediate the path traversal itself. Exploitation on Linux requires a real 13-digit timestamp directory to exist, whereas on Windows the traversal works with any hardcoded 13-digit prefix. However, the plugin's file upload response returns the name of the created directory, which means the vulnerability is exploitable as long as file upload is enabled on the form.

    Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference in the XSLT support extension (camel-quarkus-support-xalan) in Apache Camel Quarkus from 3.2.0 before 3.33.3 and from 3.34.0 before 3.40.0 on all platforms allows an attacker who supplies the XML document being transformed to read local files or issue requests to internal network locations via an external entity declaration in that document. The extension supplies its own Xalan-backed TransformerFactory to the xslt component and registers it as the JAXP default. Xalan-J 2.7.x predates JAXP 1.5 and does not honour javax.xml.XMLConstants.ACCESS_EXTERNAL_DTD or ACCESS_EXTERNAL_STYLESHEET, so the external access restrictions Apache Camel applies to the TransformerFactory it creates were not in effect. On the xslt component path this affects message bodies that reach the transformer already as a javax.xml.transform.Source; bodies of other types are converted to a SAXSource by Apache Camel with external entities and external DTD loading disabled, and are not affected. Because the factory is also the JAXP default, other code in the application obtaining one through TransformerFactory.newInstance() loses the same restrictions without e

  • Oct 1, 2026Awesome Support – WordPress HelpDesk & Support: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-96268 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

    The Awesome Support – WordPress HelpDesk & Support Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'gdpr-data' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 6.4.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is exploitable by Subscriber-level users against other accounts because the AJAX handlers accept an arbitrary gdpr-user ID without verifying it belongs to the requester, and the required wpas-gdpr-nonce is emitted via wp_localize_script to every logged-in user on frontend plugin pages and on /wp-admin/profile.php.

  • Oct 1, 2026Super Forms – Drag & Drop Form Builder: Arbitrary File/Directory DeletionCVE-2026-15983 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

    The Super Forms – Drag & Drop Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File/Directory Deletion in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.316. This is due to the `super_save_form` AJAX handler performing no capability check — allowing Subscriber-level authenticated users to create or modify Super Forms and enable the `file_upload_submission_delete` setting — combined with the `super_submit_form` handler's `submit_form` function passing the attacker-controlled `files[].subdir` value from `$_POST['data']` directly into `SUPER_Common::delete_dir()` without sanitization, and a trivially bypassed `ABSPATH` guard that a `subdir` value of `wp-config.php` defeats because `dirname(realpath(ABSPATH . $subdir))` resolves to the WordPress root while the naive `ABSPATH !== $dir` string check fails to match due to a trailing-slash mismatch. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to recursively delete arbitrary files and directories on the server, up to and including the entire WordPress installation, resulting in full site takedown and potential remote code execution if critical files such as `wp-config.php` are removed and

This is due to the Register & Login add-on's before_email_success_msg() function whitelisting the client-submitted 'role' key and copying it into the user-data array that is passed directly to wp_insert_user(), without validating the submitted role against the administrator-configured register_user_role, without an allow-list, and without any current_user_can() capability check. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register a new account with the Administrator role by injecting role=administrator into the data submitted to any published Super Forms registration form (register_login_action='register').
