Sep 29, 2026simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript.CVE-2026-102829 · Other software · steveukx · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2
simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript. Prior to 2.0.1 of the argv-parser package, parseEnv omits VISUAL from GitEnvKeys, so prepareEnv drops the value before vulnerabilityCheck can classify it as allowUnsafeEditor. A consuming application that forwards attacker-influenced environment values can therefore allow Git to invoke an attacker-selected editor during operations such as commit amendment or interactive rebase when no higher-priority editor setting overrides VISUAL and Git's terminal prerequisites are met. The executable runs with the privileges of the Node.js process. This issue is fixed in argv-parser 2.0.1.

Sep 29, 2026simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript.CVE-2026-102828 · Other software · steveukx · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2
simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript. From 3.15.0 until 4.0.1, the default blockUnsafeOperationsPlugin does not classify trailer.<token>.cmd as unsafe configuration. An application that passes attacker-controlled values through SimpleGitOptions.config or inline -c arguments can therefore allow Git to invoke an attacker-selected shell command when git interpret-trailers processes the configured trailer. The command executes with the operating-system identity and permissions of the Node.js process. This issue is fixed in 4.0.1.

Sep 29, 2026simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript.CVE-2026-102827 · Other software · steveukx · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript. Prior to 4.0.0, the default blockUnsafeOperationsPlugin compares parsed option names with literal dangerous option spellings while Git accepts unambiguous long-option abbreviations. Attacker-influenced push arguments such as abbreviated --receive-pack or --exec forms can therefore bypass detectVulnerableFlags, reach git push against a local or file remote or an attacker-influenced receive-pack target, and cause Git to invoke an attacker-selected command in consumers that expose those arguments. The clone-side abbreviation handling does not protect the push path. This issue is fixed in 4.0.0.

Sep 29, 2026simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript.CVE-2026-102826 · Other software · steveukx · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1
simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript. Prior to 4.0.0, the default blockUnsafeOperationsPlugin does not completely reject configuration includes supplied through customArgs to git.clone(). The missing include.path classification permits Git to load an attacker-controlled configuration file, and the initial remediation does not cover includeIf.<condition>.path, allowing the same file-loading primitive through a conditional include. A loaded configuration can set an executable Git option such as core.sshCommand, which Git invokes during the clone operation with the privileges of the Node.js process. Exploitation requires the application to pass attacker-influenced custom arguments and requires an attacker-controlled file that the process can read. This issue is fixed in 4.0.0.

The scriptPath parameter is incorporated into a /bin/sh -c command without sufficient neutralization of shell metacharacters, allowing shell command substitution and execution. An authenticated user can exploit this behavior by creating a resource whose filename contains shell command substitution syntax, such as $(...), and subsequently supplying the resulting path to the Alert Script plugin's /test-send endpoint. Sep 29, 2026Apache Karaf's shell/SSH command security is enforced by per-scope ACL configuration files (etc/org.apache.karaf.command.acl.<scope>.cfg).CVE-2026-91085 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.3
Apache Karaf's shell/SSH command security is enforced by per-scope ACL configuration files (etc/org.apache.karaf.command.acl.<scope>.cfg). SecuredSessionFactoryImpl.checkSecurity() resolves the roles required for an invocation and, when no ACL rule matches the command, fails open: ACLConfigurationParser.Specificity.NO_MATCH sets passCheck = true. The safety valve for this, karaf.secured.command.compulsory.roles, ships commented out in etc/system.properties, so an unmatched command is allowed for any authenticated user. The shipped org.apache.karaf.command.acl.config ACL (assemblies/features/standard/src/main/feature/feature.xml, mirrored into instance/.../etc/org.apache.karaf.command.acl.config.cfg) has no install entry. It restricts delete to admin, restricts edit/property-*/update on the jmx.acl.*, org.apache.karaf.command.acl.* and org.apache.karaf.service.acl.* PIDs to admin, and allows manager for everything else, but config:install was simply unmatched, and therefore allowed for any authenticated user, including one holding only the viewer role. config:install <url> <finalname> fetches url and writes it into ${karaf.etc} as finalname. Sep 29, 2026The jdbc shell command scope shipped no org.apache.karaf.command.acl.jdbc.cfg.CVE-2026-91048 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8
The jdbc shell command scope shipped no org.apache.karaf.command.acl.jdbc.cfg. Karaf's command guard (SecuredSessionFactoryImpl) treats a command with no matching ACL rule as allowed, so any authenticated shell session (including one holding only the viewer role) could run every jdbc:* command. jdbc:ds-create stores a fully attacker-controlled JDBC URL into a pax-jdbc-config factory Configuration with no validation. pax-jdbc-config reactively turns that into a live DataSource. Several JDBC drivers run code or SQL at connection time based on URL parameters (e.g. H2 INIT=RUNSCRIPT), so a viewer-level shell user could reach arbitrary code execution, bypassing the admin-role gate that already protects shell:exec. This is a privilege-escalation-to-RCE chain, not merely an "admin misconfiguration". The same applies to jms:* shell commands.

Sep 29, 2026org.apache.karaf.config.core.impl.ConfigRepositoryImpl#update(pid, properties), which backs the "config" MBean and the config:* shell commands, derives the fileCVE-2026-91012 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8
org.apache.karaf.config.core.impl.ConfigRepositoryImpl#update(pid, properties), which backs the "config" MBean and the config:* shell commands, derives the file it writes a configuration to from caller-supplied input without checking that the result stays inside ${karaf.etc}: * if the submitted property map contains a felix.fileinstall.filename entry, that value is turned directly into a File (getCfgFileFromProperty), so it can point to any absolute path the Karaf process can write to; * otherwise the configuration PID is concatenated verbatim into the target file name (generateConfigFilename(): new File(karaf.etc, pid + ".cfg")), so a PID containing ".." segments resolves outside ${karaf.etc}. createFactoryConfiguration() has the same issue via the factory PID/alias. Both code paths are reachable by any caller holding the "manager" role under Karaf's shipped command/JMX ACL (org.apache.karaf.command.acl.conf.cfg: "update = manager"). Such a user can therefore write attacker-controlled content to any file the Karaf process can write, including files the same ACL otherwise reserves to "admin" (etc/users.properties, etc/*.acl.*.cfg, etc/org.apache.karaf.management.cfg, and s

A path traversal vulnerability was discovered in the Kubernetes kubectl client's kubectl cp command on Windows. When copying files from a container, kubectl runs tar inside the container to build a tar archive, transfers it over the network, and unpacks it on the local machine. If the tar binary in the container is malicious, it can execute arbitrary code and emit unexpected output, allowing an attacker who controls container contents to write files to arbitrary paths on the user's local machine when kubectl cp is invoked, limited only by the system permissions of the local user. Sep 28, 2026Apache Karaf's instance-management service (InstanceServiceImpl) builds the command line used to launch a child Karaf JVM by string concatenation, then executesCVE-2026-91006 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.8
Apache Karaf's instance-management service (InstanceServiceImpl) builds the command line used to launch a child Karaf JVM by string concatenation, then executes it through /bin/sh (Unix) or cscript (Windows). The caller-supplied javaOpts value is spliced into that string unquoted. A javaOpts value containing shell metacharacters (;, |, `, $(...)) is interpreted by the shell instead of being passed to the JVM as an option, giving arbitrary OS command execution as the Karaf process user. Reachable via the shell commands instance:create, instance:start, instance:restart, instance:change-opts, and the equivalent InstanceMBean JMX operations (createInstance, startInstance, changeJavaOpts, cloneInstance). Mitigation * Set karaf.secured.command.compulsory.roles=admin in etc/system.properties to close the fail-open gap for all unconfigured command scopes. * Restrict which principals can reach instance:* commands and InstancesMBean via etc/users.properties role assignments. * Treat javaOpts passed to instance:create/instance:start/instance:change-opts/InstancesMBean as untrusted input only from fully-trusted operators.

MONAI before 1.6.0 is vulnerable to OS command injection in the nnUNetV2Runner component (monai.apps.nnunet.nnunetv2_runner). User-controlled values taken from the YAML configuration file (notably dataset_name_or_id) and from CLI/kwargs arguments are concatenated into a command string without quoting or validation and then passed to subprocess with shell=True, so shell metacharacters (e.g., ';' on Linux, '&' on Windows) are interpreted. Froxlor through 2.3.10 does not enforce the mail.allow_external_domains policy in the EmailSender.add API command. When an administrator has enabled the allowed-sender feature but disabled external allowed-sender domains (mail.enable_allow_sender = 1, mail.allow_external_domains = 0), an authenticated customer with API access can still use EmailSender.add to register an arbitrary external sender address for their mailbox, which is stored despite the policy. This creates a bypass between the UI/administrator configuration and the API, and — where the generated mail configuration consumes the allowed-sender table — allows a customer to authorize sender identities outside their hosted domains, facilitating sender spoofing. Fixed in 2.3.12.

OpenClaw versions 2026.5.1 through 2026.7.0 fail to apply the configured exec approval path to Google Meet node commands. The googlemeet.chrome command accepts caller-supplied audio command arrays and executes them on a paired node without going through the normal system.run approval flow. In deployments with the Google Meet plugin enabled, a paired Chrome node, and the googlemeet.chrome node command allowed, a tool-enabled agent able to invoke that command can execute attacker-selected processes on the paired node, impacting files, credentials, browser profiles, and availability on that node. Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') versions >= 2026.5.28 and < 2026.8.1 mishandle archive listings in the tar.bz2 skill installer: bounded command-output suffixeCVE-2026-100542 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckLow 2.3
OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') versions >= 2026.5.28 and < 2026.8.1 mishandle archive listings in the tar.bz2 skill installer: bounded command-output suffixes were treated as complete listings of the archive. A crafted .tar.bz2/.tbz2 skill archive can push prohibited entries out of both retained listings so that entry-count and size checks pass, and the archive is then extracted in full. If an operator approves installation of such a malicious or compromised skill archive, over-limit files or entry counts are persisted in the skill tools directory, consuming disk space or inodes. The issue bypasses OpenClaw's extraction budgets but does not by itself execute archive contents. Fixed in 2026.8.1.

Sep 25, 2026CliInvoke and its formerly named `AlastairLundy.CliInvoke` package are .NET libraries for invoking command-line programs and wrapping executable processes.CVE-2026-100369 · Other software · alastairlundy · reported by GitHubHigh 8.4
CliInvoke and its formerly named `AlastairLundy.CliInvoke` package are .NET libraries for invoking command-line programs and wrapping executable processes. `CliInvoke` versions 2.0.0 through 2.8.4, 2.9.0 through 2.9.3, 2.10.0 through 2.10.4, and 3.0.0-alpha.1 through 3.0.0-beta.1, as well as `AlastairLundy.CliInvoke` versions 2.0.0-alpha.1 through 2.0.0, contain an argument-injection vulnerability in `RunnerProcessFactory` on the 2.x line and `RunnerConfigurationFactory` on the 3.x line. These factories combine runner arguments, a caller-controlled target, and caller-controlled arguments into one `ProcessStartInfo.Arguments` string, allowing a double quote in the target or an argument to terminate an operating-system-level quoted region and inject unintended elements into the runner’s argument vector, potentially resulting in arbitrary command execution when a shell runner is used. The vulnerability is patched in `CliInvoke` versions 2.8.5, 2.9.4, 2.10.5, and 3.0.0-beta.2, and in `AlastairLundy.CliInvoke` version 2.0.2. No complete workaround is available; users unable to upgrade can partially mitigate the issue by removing double quotes from targets and arguments, additionally rem

The wrappers pass a caller-controlled target and arguments to `pwsh -Command` or `cmd /c` using a single `ProcessStartInfo.Arguments` string, allowing a double quote in untrusted input to break operating-system-level quoting and cause the shell to execute an additional command with the host process's privileges. The vulnerability is patched in `CliInvoke.Specializations` versions 2.8.5, 2.9.4, 2.10.5, and 3.0.0-beta.1, and in `AlastairLundy.CliInvoke.Specializations` version 2.0.2. Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/amdxdna: reject a command chain that carries no commands A chain whose command_countCVE-2026-98145 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/amdxdna: reject a command chain that carries no commands A chain whose command_count is zero passes the payload length check, because struct_size(payload, data, 0) is just the header. The fill loop then does not run, so offset stays zero and the request is submitted with a zero-length buffer. On firmware without AIE2_NPU_COMMAND that ends at the opcode check, since op is still ERT_INVALID_CMD and aie2_get_chain_msg_op() answers MSG_OP_MAX_OPCODE. aie2_get_npu_chain_msg_op() answers MSG_OP_CHAIN_EXEC_NPU whatever it is given, so there the submission continues to drm_clflush_virt_range(cmd_buf, 0), which reads the byte before the buffer and faults on the vmap guard page. EXEC_CMD is reachable by any process that can open the render node. Reject the request instead.
