In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Fix double call to drm_sched_entity_fini() Call sequence of double call: pvr_context_destroy   pvr_context_kill_queues     pvr_queue_kill       drm_sched_entity_destroy         drm_sched_entity_fini // here   pvr_context_put     kref_put(..., pvr_context_release)       pvr_context_destroy_queues         pvr_queue_destroy           drm_sched_entity_fini // here Call to drm_sched_entity_destroy() from pvr_context_kill_queues() calls drm_sched_entity_flush() + drm_sched_entity_fini(). drm_sched_entity_flush() ensures all pending jobs are completed and drm_sched_entity_fini() ensures no further submission is allowed as per expectation from pvr_context_kill_queues(). Double call to drm_sched_entity_fini() is misuse of the API so keep call only in pvr_context_create() failure path. Stack trace for issue with addition of refcounting for DRM entity stats in commit fd177135f0e6 ("drm/sched: Account entity GPU time"): [ 789.490527] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 789.490559] refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. What it means for a small business

Linux is on the computers, phones or browsers your team uses every day. Turn on automatic updates and restart: most of these fixes only take effect after a restart.

How likely is an attack? The Exploit Prediction Scoring System, run by FIRST (the global association of security response teams), puts the odds of this one being exploited in the next 30 days at 0.13%, higher than 2% of CVEs. That’s low, but low isn’t zero, and the odds jump the day someone publishes an exploit. Scored October 29, 2026, updated daily.

Check your own setup

  • Website check: reads what your site runs from the outside (WordPress version, plugins it can see, old server software) and matches it against this database.
  • Server check: what your web server says about itself, and whether that version has known flaws.

Part of the Huttenlocher Technologies vulnerability database, refreshed twice a day from CISA and the NVD. The title, category and plain-language guidance are ours; check the linked record before acting on a detail. This is general guidance, not a review of your systems.
