CVE-2023-33107

Qualcomm Multiple Chipsets Integer Overflow

Multiple Qualcomm chipsets contain an integer overflow vulnerability due to memory corruption in Graphics Linux while assigning shared virtual memory region during IOCTL call.

Description from CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog

What to do: Attackers are using this now. Install Qualcomm’s update today. If there is no update for your version, take the product off the internet or stop using it until there is.

What it means for a small business

Multiple Chipsets is on the computers, phones or browsers your team uses every day. Turn on automatic updates and restart: most of these fixes only take effect after a restart.

Why “exploited” matters. Most published flaws are never used. This one is on the list the U.S. government’s cybersecurity agency keeps of flaws it has evidence attackers are using against real systems; federal agencies have to fix it by December 26, 2023. Treat it as today’s job, not this month’s.

How likely is an attack? The Exploit Prediction Scoring System, run by FIRST (the global association of security response teams), puts the odds of this one being exploited in the next 30 days at 0.74%, higher than 54% of CVEs. That’s low, but low isn’t zero, and the odds jump the day someone publishes an exploit. Scored October 28, 2026, updated daily.

Check your own setup

  • Website check: reads what your site runs from the outside (WordPress version, plugins it can see, old server software) and matches it against this database.
  • Server check: what your web server says about itself, and whether that version has known flaws.
