In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mt76: fix monitor mode crash with sdio driver mt7921s driver may receive frames with fragment buffers. If there is a CTS packet received in monitor mode, the payload is 10 bytes only and need 6 bytes header padding after RXD buffer. However, only RXD in the first linear buffer, if we pull buffer size RXD-size+6 bytes with skb_pull(), that would trigger "BUG_ON(skb->len < skb->data_len)" in __skb_pull(). To avoid the nonlinear buffer issue, enlarge the RXD size from 128 to 256 to make sure all MCU operation in linear buffer. [ 52.007562] kernel BUG at include/linux/skbuff.h:2313! What to do: Apply the vendor’s update. The NVD record links to the advisory.

What it means for a small business

Linux is on the computers, phones or browsers your team uses every day. Turn on automatic updates and restart: most of these fixes only take effect after a restart.

How likely is an attack? The Exploit Prediction Scoring System, run by FIRST (the global association of security response teams), puts the odds of this one being exploited in the next 30 days at 0.25%, higher than 15% of CVEs. That’s low, but low isn’t zero, and the odds jump the day someone publishes an exploit. Scored October 29, 2026, updated daily.

Check your own setup

  • Website check: reads what your site runs from the outside (WordPress version, plugins it can see, old server software) and matches it against this database.
  • Server check: what your web server says about itself, and whether that version has known flaws.
