The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'user_url' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.14.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires a visitor to click the attacker's Website URL link on their public Ultimate Member profile, a condition that is trivially met since the redirect-confirmation onclick handler is enabled by default on all new installations.

Oct 2, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-96270 · affects up to 2.13.1 · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'form_id' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.13.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The injected payload is stored in the registering user's 'submitted' usermeta via update_user_meta() and is only triggered when an administrator opens the affected user record in the wp-admin Users modal, which inserts the unescaped output via jQuery .html().
Oct 2, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-93428 · affects up to 2.13.1 · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.13.1 This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to view privacy-restricted member profile field values — including fields explicitly configured as owner-only, members-only, or role-restricted — by querying the publicly accessible wp_ajax_nopriv_um_get_members endpoint. The nonce required by the endpoint ('um-frontend-nonce') is emitted to all unauthenticated visitors via wp_localize_script, meaning it provides no meaningful access control and any anonymous visitor can satisfy the endpoint's authentication requirements.

Sep 19, 2026Ultimate Member: Does not escape a value derived from user supplied profile names before outputting it in the page titleCVE-2026-85680 · fixed in 2.13.1 · reported by WPScanHigh 8.8
The Ultimate Member WordPress plugin before 2.13.1 does not escape a value derived from user supplied profile names before outputting it in the page title, and decodes HTML entities in it after its own sanitisation has already run, allowing unauthenticated attackers who register an account to store JavaScript that will execute when any visitor, including an administrator, views their profile.
Sep 2, 2026Ultimate Member: Does not check whether a comment has been approvedCVE-2026-19251 · fixed in 2.13.0 · reported by WPScanMedium 5.3
The Ultimate Member WordPress plugin before 2.13.0 does not check whether a comment has been approved, or whether the profile it belongs to is private, before returning profile activity to unauthenticated visitors, allowing them to read the content of comments still awaiting moderation.
Aug 28, 2026Ultimate Member: Does not validate a submitted role selectionCVE-2026-19423 · fixed in 2.13.0 · reported by WPScanHigh 8.1
The Ultimate Member WordPress plugin before 2.13.0 does not validate a submitted role selection when it cannot resolve the set of roles a profile form permits, and screens the value against the site's registered role names rather than against the form's own allow-list, allowing unauthenticated users who register through the Ultimate Member WordPress plugin before 2.13.0's own form to grant themselves arbitrary capabilities and reach administrator-equivalent access.
Aug 25, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-18547 · affects up to 2.12.1 · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Textarea Profile Field with HTML Support (DOM Gadget via id Attribute) in all versions up to, and including, 2.12.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is possible because the wp_kses 'templates' allowlist permits the id attribute on div elements but does not neutralize unescaped quotes within its value; when pickadate.js concatenates the stored id value into an HTML string via jQuery .html() on profile page load, the smuggled onfocus and autofocus attribute syntax breaks out of attribute context and executes as JavaScript.

Jul 31, 2026Ultimate Member: Does not filter administrator-level capabilities from the roles it makes selectable on its registration formsCVE-2026-12251 · fixed in 2.12.1 · reported by WPScanHigh 8.1
The Ultimate Member WordPress plugin before 2.12.1 does not filter administrator-level capabilities from the roles it makes selectable on its registration forms, and its post-registration safeguard against elevated accounts is disabled by default, allowing unauthenticated users to register with a site-defined role that carries administrator capabilities and gain administrative access, when such a role exists and a role-selection field is present on a published registration form.
Jul 10, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Blind SQL InjectionCVE-2026-15290 · affects up to 2.10.1 · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to blind SQL Injection via the search parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.10.1 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This vulnerability was partially patched in version 2.9.2 when initially addressing CVE-2025-0308.

Jun 24, 2026Ultimate Member: Account TakeoverCVE-2026-7761 · affects up to 2.11.4 · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Ultimate Member plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Account Takeover via Password Reset Link Disclosure in all versions up to and including 2.11.4. This is due to a chain of three logic bugs: (1) an MD5 hash fallback in get_directory_by_hash() that allows any post to be used as a member directory by computing SUBSTRING(MD5(post_id), 11, 5), (2) a strstr() parsing logic flaw in post_data() that allows bypassing WordPress's protected meta key restrictions by placing '_um_' anywhere in the meta key name rather than at the start, and (3) missing field name validation in build_user_card_data() that allows arbitrary field names including 'password_reset_link' to be passed to um_filtered_value(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to create a malicious post via XMLRPC with crafted meta fields, use the MD5 fallback to point the member directory AJAX handler to their post, inject 'password_reset_link' into the tagline_fields configuration, and leak live password reset URLs for all users in the member directory response, including administrators.

Apr 4, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2025-15064 · affects up to 2.11.1 · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the user description field in all versions up to, and including, 2.11.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability is only exploitable when "HTML support for user description" is enabled in Ultimate Member settings.
Mar 27, 2026Ultimate Member: Sensitive Information ExposureCVE-2026-4248 · affects up to 2.11.2 · reported by WordfenceHigh 8
The Ultimate Member plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 2.11.2. This is due to the '{usermeta:password_reset_link}' template tag being processed within post content via the '[um_loggedin]' shortcode, which generates a valid password reset token for the currently logged-in user viewing the page. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to craft a malicious pending post that, when previewed by an Administrator, generates a password reset token for the Administrator and exfiltrates it to an attacker-controlled server, leading to full account takeover.
Feb 18, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Reflected Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-1404 · affects up to 2.11.1 · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

Dec 20, 2025Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Sensitive Information ExposureCVE-2025-12492 · affects up to 2.11.0 · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 2.11.0 via the ajax_get_members function. This is due to the use of a predictable low-entropy token (5 hex characters derived from md5 of post ID) to identify member directories and insufficient authorization checks on the unauthenticated AJAX endpoint. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract sensitive data including usernames, display names, user roles (including administrator accounts), profile URLs, and user IDs by enumerating predictable directory_id values or brute-forcing the small 16^5 token space.

Dec 17, 2025Ultimate Member: Profile Privacy Setting BypassCVE-2025-14081 · affects up to 2.11.0 · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Ultimate Member plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Profile Privacy Setting Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.11.0. This is due to a flaw in the secure fields mechanism where field keys are stored in the allowed fields list before the `required_perm` check is applied during rendering. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access to modify their profile privacy settings (e.g., setting profile to "Only me") via direct parameter manipulation, even when the administrator has explicitly disabled the option for their role.
