Aug 4, 2026Create Block: Does not correctly escape user-supplied text before writing it into a generated PHP pattern fileCVE-2026-16623 · fixed in 2.10.0 · reported by WPScanHigh 8
The Create Block WordPress plugin before 2.10.0 does not correctly escape user-supplied text before writing it into a generated PHP pattern file, allowing a multisite subsite administrator (who holds the capability gating this action but is denied the capability that normally gates PHP file editing) to inject and execute arbitrary PHP code on the server.
Versions are matched against the affected ranges published with each record. A plugin can ship a fix under its own numbering, so if something looks off, check the linked record. Want the whole site checked at once? Run the free website check.
