How much does social media management cost?

Short answer: It depends almost entirely on who makes the content. Posting things you send in costs little. A plan where someone plans the month, shoots photos and video at your business, writes the posts and publishes them costs more, and is what actually moves the needle.

What changes the price

  • Who makes the content. Reposting your photos is cheap. Original photos, video and graphics made for you is most of the cost.
  • How many platforms. Each one needs its own format and attention.
  • How often. Three posts a week is different work from daily posts plus stories.
  • Extras. Google Business Profile management, review replies, ads, reporting.

What our plans cost

The full details are on our pricing page. Accounts stay in your name, and our access is set up separately with two-step sign-in.

  • Social, from $750 a month: two platforms, a month of posts planned, made and posted from a calendar you approve first, and a short report every month.
  • Growth, from $1,500 a month: up to three platforms, your Google Business Profile run for you (posts, photos, review replies), and a monthly content shoot so it’s real photos and video.
  • Full Service, from $2,500 a month: everything in Growth, plus brand positioning and your Google and Meta ads run for you. Ad spend is on top and goes straight to Google and Meta.

Questions to ask anyone you hire

  • Who makes the content, and will they come to the business to shoot it?
  • Do I approve posts before they go up?
  • Whose name are the accounts in, and what happens to them if I leave?
  • Is ad spend separate from the fee, and do I see the ad account?
  • What’s in the monthly report, and how do you measure whether it’s working?

Questions

Is it cheaper to hire someone in house?

A part-time person can be, if you find someone good at strategy, photography, video, writing and ads. Most small businesses find one person rarely covers all of that.

Is there a contract?

Every plan is billed monthly and confirmed in a written quote before anything starts.
