Local SEO for businesses with multiple locations

Short answer: Every location needs its own Google Business Profile, its own page on your website, and its own details used consistently. Treat each one as its own local business that happens to share a brand.

The essentials

  • One Google Business Profile per location, each verified, with that location’s address, hours and phone number. Manage them together in a business group.
  • One page per location on your website, with the address, hours, phone, directions, photos of that location and its staff, and what’s different about it.
  • Each profile links to its location page, not your home page.
  • Separate phone numbers for each location, used consistently everywhere that location is listed.
  • Reviews per location, with each location’s own review link.
  • LocalBusiness structured data on each location page.

Common mistakes

  • One profile with a single address for a business that has several.
  • Location pages copied with only the address changed.
  • A shared phone number that rings one office.
  • Closed locations left live on Google.

Questions

We’re a service business with several bases. Do we need multiple profiles?

Only for staffed locations that meet Google’s guidelines. Service areas from one base go on one profile.

Can you set this up?

Yes, as part of our local SEO work.

02A planning call, then a written plan with the price and the date
03A preview on your phone while it's being built
