  • Aug 22, 2026WebToffee WooCommerce PDF Invoices, Packing Slips, Delivery Notes & Shipping Labels: Directory TraversalCVE-2026-18027 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The WebToffee WooCommerce PDF Invoices, Packing Slips, Delivery Notes & Shipping Labels plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 4.9.8 via the get_image_src_in_base64 function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. The base64-encoded file contents are embedded into the cached invoice HTML and served directly to the attacker via the plugin's own Print/Download invoice endpoints, which require only a valid nonce and access key.

    What to do

  • Aug 22, 2026Security Hardener: Missing AuthorizationCVE-2026-16149 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Security Hardener plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.4. The vulnerability exists because the plugin's user-enumeration protection, which is enabled by default, hooks the rest_endpoints filter via secure_user_endpoints() and overwrites every registered handler's permission_callback on both the /wp/v2/users and /wp/v2/users/(?P<id>[\d]+) routes — including POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE handlers — with a bare closure that returns only is_user_logged_in(), completely stripping WordPress Core's original capability checks such as create_users, promote_user, edit_users, and delete_users that WP_REST_Users_Controller normally enforces. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to create new Administrator accounts by sending POST request to /wp/v2/users with administrator role, or to reset an existing Administrator's password by issuing a PUT/POST request to /wp/v2/users/<id>. Because the block_user_enum option defaults to enabled, no special plugin configuration is required — the overwrite is active on every request as soon as the plugin is installed.

    Product
    Security Hardener
    Affected
    up to 2.4.4
    What to do
Affects up to 2.4.4. Update Security Hardener to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.
  • Aug 22, 2026PPWP – Password Protect Pages: PHP Object InjectionCVE-2026-0551 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The PPWP – Password Protect Pages plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.9.18 via deserialization of untrusted input from the 'post_protection_roles' vulnerable parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present.

The GreenShift – Animation and Page Builder Blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data in versions up to, and including, 12.8.9. This is due to a missing capability check on the 'gspb_update_global_wp_settings' function that only verifies the 'edit_posts' capability instead of requiring administrative privileges. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to modify global WordPress theme color settings site-wide, leading to site defacement.

The Advanced Product Fields (Product Addons) for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Improper Input Validation in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.21. This is due to a logic flaw in the 'validate_cart_data' function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to bypass required paid addons and complete purchases at the base product price only, effectively stealing products by paying a fraction of the intended total. The vulnerability was partially patched in version 1.6.19.

  • Aug 22, 2026Post Duplicator: Unauthorized modification of dataCVE-2026-4244 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Post Duplicator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the `duplicate_post()` function in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.11. This is due to the function not verifying that the user has `edit_others_posts` capability before accepting a `selectedAuthorId` parameter via the `duplicate-post` REST endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to create duplicated posts attributed to any user, including administrators.

    Product

  • Aug 22, 2026Post Duplicator: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-4245 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Post Duplicator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.11. This is due to the `duplicate_post_permissions()` permission callback only verifying the `duplicate_posts` capability without checking whether the requesting user holds `publish_posts` or other status-gated capabilities. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to create duplicate posts with `future` (scheduled, auto-publishes) or `private` status, bypassing editorial review. Additionally, the REST endpoint does not enforce administrator-configured post-type duplication restrictions, allowing duplication of post types that have been explicitly disabled.

    What to do
Affects up to 3.0.11. Update Post Duplicator to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.

The Mailgun for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via path traversal in versions up to and including 2.2.0. This is due to insufficient input validation in the add_list() function, which accepts user-controlled array keys from $_POST['addresses'], passes them through sanitize_text_field(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to make authenticated POST requests to any Mailgun API endpoint using the WordPress site's API key, including creating inbound email-forwarding routes that can intercept password reset emails, leading to administrator account takeover.

This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the stored Themify Builder styling data (padding and margin properties) of arbitrary posts, including private and draft posts, by supplying an attacker-controlled post ID and JSON styling payload. The nonce required by the handler is automatically emitted to all frontend pages rendered by the builder via wp_localize_script, meaning any unauthenticated visitor can trivially retrieve a valid nonce from page source and satisfy the only access control in place.

The Automation Web Platform – Notifications and OTP for WooCommerce, Advanced Country Code plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in versions up to, and including, 4.8.6.
